Objective:To develop postoperative care plans based on intervention diagram for young and middle-aged postoperative glioma patients, and validate their effectiveness. Methods:A convenience sample of 68 young and middle-aged glioma patients who underwent surgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University, between September 2023 and April 2024 was recruited. Patients were randomly assigned to either the intervention group or the control group (34 cases each) using a random number table. The control group received routine nursing care, while the intervention group received additional care based on the intervention diagram program. Self-perceived burden scores, psychological distress scores, and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups before the intervention and after one month. Results:Prior to the intervention, there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of total or dimensional scores of self-perceived burden ( P>0.05). After the intervention, the intervention group showed lower scores in all dimensions and total scores of self-perceived burden compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences ( P<0.05). Similarly, no significant differences were found between the two groups in psychological distress and quality of life scores before the intervention ( P>0.05) ; however, after the intervention, the intervention group demonstrated lower psychological distress and higher quality of life scores than the control group, with statistically significant differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The intervention diagram-based program effectively reduces self-perceived burden and psychological distress, and enhances quality of life in young and middle-aged postoperative glioma patients.

Objective:To analyze the current development status and spatial distribution characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospitals in China, predict the changing trends of the number of TCM hospitals, the number of beds, and the number of physicians, and provide references for the development of TCM hospitals and the formulation of related policies. Methods:From the official websites of the National Bureau of Statistics and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the total population and number of TCM hospitals of 31 provinces (excluding China′s Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) in China from 2013 to 2022 were included, as well as the number of beds and practicing (assistant) physicians in TCM hospitals from 2013 to 2021. The grey prediction model was applied to predict the changing trends of the number of TCM hospitals, beds and physicians. Using the global Moran′s I index in spatial autocorrelation analysis, the distribution of TCM hospitals per 10 000 people in China was analyzed by spatial correlation analysis, and local G coefficient was analyzed by local hot spots. Results:From 2013 to 2027, the number of TCM hospitals, beds and practicing (assistant) TCM physicians in China all showed an increasing trend year by year. The number of TCM hospitals per 10 000 people in China showed a spatial correlation between 2013 and 2022 ( P<0.05). The hot spots of TCM hospitals were mainly concentrated in North China and Northeast China, while the cold spots were mainly concentrated in southeast coastal areas and Northwest China. Conclusions:The number of TCM hospitals in China is increasing year by year, but it is necessary to control the reasonable increase and avoid blind expansion. It is necessary to formulate regional policies of TCM hospitals according to local conditions and pay attention to the individuation of policies. Focus on hot and cold areas to promote balanced development of TCM hospitals.

BACKGROUND:
The achievement of an optimal return to sport (RTS) has remained a key goal after sports-related injuries, with the ongoing debate on the effectiveness of different surgical approaches for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture. This study aims to assess clinical outcomes and RTS across various surgical methods, such as anatomical single-bundle reconstruction (ASBR), central-axial single-bundle reconstruction (CASBR), and double-bundle reconstruction (DBR).
METHODS:
A randomized clinical trial was conducted, comprising 191 patients who underwent ACL rupture. These patients were divided into three groups based on the ACL reconstruction techniques they received (ASBR, CASBR, DBR). Over the 2-year follow-up period, the study assessed RTS through four single-hop tests, isokinetic extension tests, and limb asymmetry indices. Postoperative graft status was determined using the signal-to-noise quotient (SNQ), while knee function was evaluated using the International Knee Documentation Committee 2000 (IKDC-2000) score, Lysholm score, Tegner score, and degree of knee laxity. A binary logistic regression model was developed to forecast the factors influencing ideal RTS.
RESULTS:
DBR (67.63%) and CASBR (58.00%) exhibited higher RTS passing rates compared to ASBR (30.39%; χ2 = 19.57, P <0.05). Quadriceps strength symmetry in the lower limbs was identified as the key determinant of RTS ( χ2 = 17.08, P <0.05). The RTS rate was influenced by SNQs of the graft's tibial site (odds ratio: 0.544) and quadriceps strength of the reconstructed knee joint at 60°/s (odds ratio: 6.346). Notably, the DBR group showed enhanced knee stability, evidenced by superior results in the Lachman test ( χ2 = 13.49, P <0.01), objective IKDC-2000 ( χ2 = 27.02, P = 0.002), and anterior instability test ( χ2 = 9.46, P <0.01). Furthermore, DBR demonstrated superior clinical outcomes based on the Lysholm score (DBR: 89.57 ± 7.72, CASBR: 83.00 ± 12.71, ASBR: 83.21 ± 11.95; F = 10.452, P <0.01) and IKDC-2000 score (DBR: 90.95 ± 7.00, CASBR: 84.64 ± 12.68, ASBR: 83.63 ± 11.41; F = 11.78, P <0.01).
CONCLUSION:
For patients with ACL rupture, more ideal RTS rate and clinical outcomes were shown in the DBR group than in the ASBR and CASBR groups. Autograft status and quadriceps strength are postively related to RTS.

Objective:To explore the latent profiles of self-perceived burden among young and middle-aged postoperative glioma patients and to compare the differences in quality of life among the identified profiles. Methods:From October 2022 to June 2023, a total of 184 young and middle-aged postoperative glioma patients were selected using convenience sampling from the Department of Neurosurgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the Self-Perceived Burden Scale (SPBS), and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-C30). Latent profile analysis was conducted using Mplus 8.3 software. Multinomial Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of different latent classes of self-perceived burden. The quality of life scores were compared across the different classes. Results:A total of 184 questionnaires were distributed, and 179 valid responses were collected, with an effective response rate of 97.3% (179/184). The self-perceived burden among young and middle-aged postoperative glioma patients was categorized into three latent profiles: low burden group (43.6%, 78/179), moderate burden group (36.3%, 65/179), and high burden group (20.1%, 36/179). Logistic regression analysis showed that age, gender, place of residence, and duration of illness were influencing factors for latent class membership ( P<0.05). The differences in quality of life total and subscale scores among the three latent classes were all statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Young and middle-aged postoperative glioma patients exhibit distinct latent profiles of self-perceived burden, and their quality of life varies significantly across these profiles. Medical staff should pay particular attention to patients who are younger, male, from rural areas, and with shorter disease durations, and provide personalized interventions to improve their quality of life.
