Objective Through in vitro experiments, biomechanical data of the transtibial pullout suture(TPS),tendon reconstruction(TR),and tendon reconstruction with suture augmentation(TRS)were collected,so as to evaluate the biomechanical effectiveness of tendon reconstruction for repairing medial meniscus posterior root tear(MMPRT).Methods Eighteen porcine knee joint models were divided into TPS,TR,and TRS groups.Sutures were used to fix the meniscal root in TPS group.Tendons were passed through an incision at the meniscal root in TR group.Tendons were passed through an incision at the meniscal root and secured at tendon-meniscus contact area with additional sutures in TRS group. The sutures and tendons were pulled out through tibial tunnels and fixed at the anteromedial tibia. All groups underwent failure load tests, and ultimate failure load, displacement at failure load, load at clinical failure, stiffness, and failure modes of the samples were recorded. Results The maximum failure load in TPS group was significantly higher than that in TR group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between TPS group and TRS group(P>0.05).The maximum failure load in TRS group was significantly higher than that in TR group(P<0.05).The displacement under failure load in TR group and TRS group was significantly lower than that in TPS group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between TR group and TRS group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the load under clinical failure among the 3 groups(P>0.05).The stiffness of TRS group was significantly greater than that of TPS group(P<0.05),but no significant difference was observed between TR group and TPS group,as well as between TR group and TRS group(P>0.05).All failures were caused by suture or tendon cutting through the meniscus. Conclusions The tendon reconstruction techniques is superior to the TPS in terms of failure displacement and stiffness, while the TRS further enhances the stability of the repair.

There exist risks of ionizing radiation in radiodiagnosis examinations. Implementing shielding protection following the optimization and as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principles represents a measure to reduce radiation doses to patients. The implementation of shielding protection in clinical practices should meet high requirements due to variations in the modalities and items in radiodiagnosis examinations, the characteristics and irradiation method of X-ray beams, the method of automatic selection of image quality and radiation dose-related parameters by imaging equipment, the radiation sensitivity of human tissues and organs. This review introduced the shielding products, methods and effects in various radiodiagnosis examinations, as well as the current status and challenges in their applications, aiming to provide a reference for future related research and clinical practices.

To review the diagnosis and treatment of a case of hypercalcium crisis caused by primary hyperparathyroidism(PHPT) and prophylactic treatment of hungry bone syndrome. In a 32-year-old male with hypercalcemia, the main manifestations were loss of appetite, nausea, polyuria, polydipsia, fatigue, lethargy, etc. parathyroid hormone, serum calcium increased, thyroid function was normal, thyroid color ultrasound and MRI showed space-occupying behind the right thyroid, radionuclide examination showed abnormal imaging agent concentration in the right parathyroid area, there was a history of pathological fracture. Clinically diagnosed as hypercalcemia crisis secondary to PHPT.

Objective To describe the growth and development of Schistosoma japonicum in goat and the intensity and tem?poral distribution of eggs excreted by goat feces,so as to provide baseline data for the control and elimination of the role of goat in the transmission of schistosomiasis. Methods The goat animal models of schistosomiasis were established, and stool sam?ples were collected for parasitological examinations. The number of adult worms recovered, variation of schistosomes in goat at different time points post?infection, number of eggs in schistosomes, variation in number and temporal profiles of eggs excreted from goat feces were observed. Results Of the 6 schistosome?infected goat,415 adult worms were recovered, with a mean adult worm recovery of 34.58%(range,23.00%to 45.50%). Among the 5 goat infected with 200 cercariae each,47,93,77, 74 and 73 adult worms were recovered 2,5,8,11 and 14 months post?infection, respectively. There were(200.00 ± 42.33), (226.20±45.88),(168.20±25.85),(183.80±55.13)and(190.80±53.53)eggs detected in female schistosomes. The mean pre?patent period of eggs excreted by 10 infected goat was(37.7±3.02)d. From 2 to 14 months post?infection,7 batches of goat fe?ces were hatched, and there were 30,23,14,1 and 2 times for miracidium intensity of“++++”,“+++”,“++”,“+”and“-”, respectively, with 42.86%,32.86%,20.00%,1.43%and 2.86%constituent ratios of miracidium intensity. Conclusions Ap?proximately 1/3 S. japonicum cercariae may develop to adults in goats post?infection, and the prepatent period of eggs is(37.7± 3.02)d. There is no remarkable decrease seen in the number of adult worms, eggs in female schistosomes and eggs in goat feces within 14 months post?infection. Our findings suggest a long duration for infected goat in the transmission of schistosomiasis ,and there is no evidence to prove the“self?cure”phenomenon in goat, indicating that goat is an important source of infection for schistosomiasis japonica.

Objective To research the mechanism of treating cyclomastopathy with Runingshuang by measuring the blood rheology and mammary microcirculation. Methods 70 female Wistar rats of SPF were randomly divided into seven groups:the blank control group, the pathologic model group, the comparative group of tamoxifen ointment, the comparative group of Sanjierupi Glue, three remedial groups with large, middle and small dosage of Runingshuang. Pathologic model of mammary hyperplasia was made by injecting estrogen and progesterone. Except the former two groups, each group was treated with different drugs. The blood rheology and mammary microcirculation were measured after 30 days. Results Compared with the blank control group, blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, packed cell volume and the fibrinogen of the pathologic model group increased evidently (P

Tuberculous epididymitis is a rare urological disease difficult to diagnose. The conventional methods for diagnosis are often time-consuming and invasive. The combined use of scrotal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and urinary polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based assay for mycobacterial DNA (the latter because of its high sensitivity and specificity to demonstrate mycobacterial DNA) is a valuable method for rapid diagnosis of tuberculous epididymitis. We report a 79-year-old man who was admitted with the chief complaints of bilateral scrotal swelling and pain. The combined use of scrotal MRI and urinary PCR allowed prompt diagnosis of tuberculous epididymitis and adequate antituberculous therapy.

OBJECTIVE:To study the anti-inflammation,analgesia and microcirculation improvement actions of Runingshuang.METHODS:The animals were randomly divided into control group,Sanjierupi glue group and lose dose and high dose Runingshuang groups. The curative effects of the externally applied Runingshuang on dimethylbenzene-induced earlap turgescence and the agar-induced chronic granulomatous inflammation were monitored. And the analgesic effect of the intragastrically administered or externally applied Runingshuang and its antagonistic action in microcirculation disturbance caused by pituitrin were determined by glacial acetic acid writhing method and hot plate method.RESULTS:The inhibitory rate of high and low dosage of Runingshuang on the earlap turgescence caused by dimethylbenzene were 46.2%and 43.1%,respectively,which were significantly different as compared with the control group(P

Objective To study the relation between mammary hyperplasia and expression of VEGF,bFGF. Methods After the breast mass undergoing core needle biopsy, the pathological type and expression of VEGF and bFGF were observed in 140 cases of breast mass. Results Of the 140 cases, general ~hyperplasia was found in 92 cases( 65.7%), atypical hyperplasia in 48 cases(34.3%) . The expression of VEGF and bFGF were increased with the increase of pathological degree of breast hyperplasia (P
