Objective To establish a standardized quality criterion for the formula of the Liuwei Runfu oil recipe. Methods The qualitative identification of the components, such as Cannabis sativa, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Angelica sinensis, Coix lacryma-jobi, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis, was conducted by thin layer chromatography (TLC). The concentration of Senkyunolide A, ligustilide, and linoleic acid was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Results The TLC identification results demonstrated excellent differentiation and high selectivity, without any disruption from the negative samples. The reference standard for Senkyunolide A exhibited excellent linearity in the range of 25 to 300 µg (r=0.9999), with an average recovery rate of 102.3% and a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.3%. The ligustilide reference standard exhibited strong linearity between the concentrations of 0.6875 and 8.25 µg (r=0.9993), with an average recovery rate of 100.1% and a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.8%. The linoleic acid reference standard demonstrated strong linear correlation within the range of 2.8125 to 33.75 µg (r=0.9990), with an average spiking recovery rate of 102.7% and a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 1.7%. Conclusion The established method with strong specificity was simple, accurate, reliable, which coulod provide a reference for the quality control of the Liuwei Runfu oil recipe.

Intra-aortic balloon pump(IABP),as the most commonly used percutaneous mechanical circulatory assist device,is routinely implanted through the femoral artery pathway. However, when implantation through the femoral artery pathway is difficult or contraindicated, other pathways including the brachial artery pathway, axillary artery pathway, etc.can be considered.IABP assisted interventional treatment for complex high-risk and indicated patients(CHIP)can reduce the risk of intraoperative complications, stabilize hemodynamics, increase the complete revascularization rate of CHIP,and improve long-term prognosis. The reverse guidewire technique can improve the success rate of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)for chronic total occlusion(CTO)of coronary arteries. In clinical practice, the reverse pathway is often chosen in addition to the forward pathway, such as the contralateral radial and brachial artery pathway, femoral artery pathway, etc. This article reports a case of bilateral femoral artery occlusion,in which IABP was implanted through the left brachial artery pathway, and then with the assistance of IABP,the right coronary artery CTO lesion was successfully opened through the right radial artery in the forward direction and the right brachial artery in the reverse direction, with the aim of providing reference for clinical PCI treatment for such special cases.

As the first defense of respiratory system, airway epi-thelial cells(AECs)play an important role in separating the re-spiratory internal and external environment. They are essential for the natural immune function.Small airway lesions are an im-portant early pathology of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD),when AECs are exposed to harmful particles or gases for a long time, the epithelial barrier is damaged, and the signa-ling pathways which involved in differentiation, repair, and in-flammatory are disordered, resulting in epithelial cell cycle stag-nation and accelerated aging.A number of studies have sugges-ted that AECs of COPD patients express high levels of aging markers, suggesting that senescence of AECs is closely related to COPD.This review discusses the potential mechanisms of AECs senescence in COPD,the impact of AECs senescence on the de-velopment and severity of the disease, and highlights potential targets for modulating cellular senescence in airway epithelium as a therapeutic approach in COPD.

Aim To investigate the effect of tetrameth-ylpyrazine(TMP)on neuroinflammation after cerebral ischemia and hypoxia via mannose-binding lectin(MBL).Methods Patients diagnosed with ischaemic stroke at Shanxi Provincial People's Hospital were in-cluded in the study, and their clinicopathological data,as well as blood and urine samples, were collected with the consent of the patients and their families.Using these biological samples, differential proteins and tar-gets were identified by proteomic analysis and subse-quently verified with animal experiments. The mice were divided into the sham,dMCAO,and TMP(10,20,40 mg·kg-1)treatment groups. After seven days of drug administration, the modified neurological sever-ity score(mNSS)was used to assess the neurological function.TTC staining was used to detect the volume of cerebral infarction.Motor function was evaluated be-haviourally,and ELISA was used to detect MASP1,sC5b-9,TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1β.Western blot was used to determine the expression of relevant proteins, such as MBL2,MASP2,and C3.Results Compared with the sham group, the dMCAO group exhibited in-creased neurological impairment, which was signifi-cantly ameliorated by TMP treatment. The expression levels of MBL2,C3 and MASP2 were elevated in the dMCAO group and were reduced following TMP treat-ment.Additionally,the dMCAO group showed elevat-ed expression of inflammatory factors IL-1 β,IL-6 and TNF-α,which were then suppressed by TMP treat-ment.Conclusion TMP inhibits the inflammatory re-sponse after ischemia and hypoxia by regulating MBL,thus attenuating brain injury.
