Objective To propose a dynamic electrical impedance tomography imaging algorithm based on complementary information fusion network(CIFN)to enhance image quality of dynamic electrical impedance imaging.Methods There were three modules for initialization,multi-frame complementary information extraction and information fusion involved in the CIFN.Firstly,multi-frame dynamic conductivity distribution images were obtained by the initialization module;secondly,spatial complementary information was extracted from the images by using the multi-frame complementary information extraction module;finally,the fusion of lesion target distribution information and target re-reconstruction were realized by the information fusion module to aquire high-quality EIT images.With a 16-electrode multilayer cranial simulation model,the CIFN-based imaging method was compared with Tikhonov regularization algorithm,spectral constraint algorithm and U-Net algorithm in terms of imaging results of types of lesions to verify its performance.Results Compared with the Tikhonov regularization algorithm,spectral constraint algorithm and U-Net algorithm,the proposed CIFN-based algorithm exhibited the lowest mean absolute error(MAE)and the highest structural similarity(SSIM)when used to image different lesion targets,which accurately reconstructed the distribution of lesion targets and gained high imaging stability under common noise levels.Conclusion The proposed CIFN-based imaging algorithm obtains high imaging quality on a cranial simulation model and reconstruction results close to the real model distribution,which provides algorithmic support for subsequent clinical studies on electrical impedance imaging.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(6):1-6]

Objective:To explore the development process of family resilience in children with congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT) and to understand the long-term challenges and coping strategies that CPT imposes on the families of affected children.Methods:This study combined purposive sampling and theoretical sampling. It selected 15 caregivers of CPT children from Hunan Children's Hospital for semi-structured interviews. Grounded theory was used to analyze the interview results.Results:The development of family resilience in CPT children's families occurred in three stages: pre-formation stage, formation stage, and maintenance stage. In facing negative emotions and family challenges, caregivers first needed to rebuild their inner beliefs. They then adjusted the family organizational model, adopted open and inclusive communication, and actively sought external support to foster the development of family resilience. Ultimately, caregivers were able to self-regulate their emotions, accumulate caregiving experience, and begin to shift their life perspective.Conclusions:The development of family resilience in CPT children's families is a dynamic, multi-stage process with interactions of multiple factors. Healthcare providers should offer professional health guidance according to the different stages of family development. Moreover, the government and schools should increase their attention and support, working together with families and healthcare providers to enhance family resilience for children with CPT.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of caffeoylquinic acids from Erigeron breviscapus(EBCQA) on cognitive impairment and mitochondrial dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease(AD), and to explore its underlying mechanisms. The impacts of EBCQA on paralysis, β-amyloid(Aβ) oligomerization, and mRNA expression of mitophagy-related genes [PTEN-induced putative kinase 1(PINK1) homolog-encoding gene pink-1, Parkin homolog-encoding gene pdr-1, Bcl-2 interacting coiled-coil protein 1(Beclin 1) homolog-encoding gene bec-1, microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3(LC3) homolog-encoding gene lgg-1, autophagic adapter protein 62(p62) homolog-encoding gene sqst-1] were examined in the AD Caenorhabditis elegans CL4176 model, along with mitochondrial functions including adenosine triphosphate(ATP) content, enzyme activities of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes Ⅰ,Ⅲ, and Ⅳ, and mitochondrial membrane potential. Additionally, the effects of EBCQA on the green fluorescent protein(GFP)/red fluorescent protein from Discosoma sp.(DsRed) ratio, the expression of phosphatidylethanolamine-modified and GFP-labeled LGG-1(PE-GFP::LGG-1)/GFP-labeled LGG-1(GFP::LGG-1), and GFP-labeled SQST-1(GFP::SQST-1) proteins were investigated in transgenic C. elegans strains. The effect of EBCQA on paralysis was further evaluated after RNA interference(RNAi)-mediated suppression of the pink-1 and pdr-1 genes in CL4176 strain. An AD rat model was established through intraperitoneal injection of D-galactose and intragastric administration of aluminum trichloride. The effects of β-nicotinamide mononucleotide(NMN) and EBCQA on learning and memory ability, neuronal morphology, mitophagy occurrence, mitophagy-related protein expression(PINK1, Parkin, Beclin 1, LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ, p62), and mitochondrial functions(ATP content; enzyme activities of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ; mitochondrial membrane potential) were investigated in this AD rat model. The results showed that EBCQA delayed paralysis onset in the CL4176 strain, reduced Aβ oligomer formation, and upregulated the mRNA expression levels of lgg-1, bec-1, pink-1, and pdr-1, while downregulating sqst-1 mRNA expression. EBCQA also enhanced ATP content, mitochondrial membrane potential, and the activities of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ. Furthermore, EBCQA improved the PE-GFP::LGG-1/GFP::LGG-1 ratio, reduced GFP::SQST-1 expression, and decreased the GFP/DsRed ratio. Notably, the ability of EBCQA to delay paralysis was significantly reduced following RNAi-mediated suppression of pink-1 and pdr-1 in CL4176 strain. In AD rats, the administration of NMN or EBCQA significantly improved learning and memory, restored neuronal morphology in the hippocampus, increased autophagosome numbers, and upregulated the expression of PINK1, Parkin, Beclin 1, and the LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ ratio, while reducing p62 expression. Additionally, the treatment with NMN or EBCQA both elevated ATP content, mitochondrial respiratory chain complex Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅳ activities, and mitochondrial membrane potential in the hippocampus. The above findings indicate that EBCQA improves cognitive impairment and mitochondrial dysfunction in AD, possibly through activation of PINK1/Parkin-mediated mitophagy.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a well-accepted therapy for atopic dermatitis (AD). However, there are currently no evidence-based guidelines integrating TCM and Western medicine for the treatment of AD, limiting the clinical application of such combined approaches. Therefore, the China Association of Chinese Medicine initiated the development of the current guideline, focusing on key issues related to the use of TCM in the treatment of AD. This guideline was developed in accordance with the principles of the guideline formulation manual published by the World Health Organization. A comprehensive review of the literature on the combined use of TCM and Western medicine to treat AD was conducted. The findings were extensively discussed by experts in dermatology and pharmacy with expertise in both TCM and Western medicine. This guideline comprises 23 recommendations across seven major areas, including TCM syndrome differentiation and classification of AD, principles and application scenarios of TCM combined with Western medicine for treating AD, outcome indicators for evaluating clinical efficacy of AD treatment, integration of TCM pattern classification and Western medicine across disease stages, daily management of AD, the use of internal TCM therapies and proprietary Chinese medicines, and TCM external treatments. OBJECTIVES: To assess the preliminary efficacy and safety of a dose-intensified C5VD regimen (cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil, vincristine, and doxorubicin) in children with locally advanced hepatoblastoma. METHODS: This prospective study enrolled 24 children with newly diagnosed, locally advanced hepatoblastoma who received the dose-intensified C5VD regimen at Shanghai Children's Medical Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Shanghai Children's Hospital between January 2020 and December 2023. Clinical characteristics, treatment outcomes, and chemotherapy-related toxicities were analyzed. RESULTS: Of the 24 patients, 13 were male and 11 were female, with a median age at diagnosis of 18.7 months (range: 3.5-79.4 months). All patients achieved complete macroscopic resection of hepatic lesions without liver transplantation. Serum alpha-fetoprotein levels decreased significantly after two chemotherapy cycles. During a median follow-up of 38.4 months (range: 15.8-50.7 months), all patients maintained continuous complete remission, with 3-year event-free survival and overall survival rates of 100%. Across 144 chemotherapy cycles, the incidence rates of grade 3-4 neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and infections were 97%, 77%, and 71%, respectively; no treatment-related deaths occurred. Notably, 5 patients (21%) developed Brock grade ≥3 hearing loss, of whom 1 required a hearing aid. CONCLUSIONS The dose-intensified C5VD regimen demonstrates significant efficacy with an overall favorable safety profile in the treatment of newly diagnosed, locally advanced pediatric hepatoblastoma. Grade 3-4 myelosuppression and infection are the predominant toxicities. However, high‑dose cisplatin-induced ototoxicity remains a concern, highlighting the need for improved otoprotective strategies.

Objective: To investigate the changes of microorganisms and metabolites in joint effusion of patients with Rheumatoid arthritis(RA), Osteoarthritis(OA) and Urarthritis(UA). To provide new ideas for the study of the effect of microbiota on the pathogenesis of arthritis. Methods: Joint effusion samples were collected from 20 patients with RA, 20 patients with OA, and 20 patients with UA. 16S rRNA gene sequencing and untargeted ultra-high performance Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS) were used to explore the differences in microorganisms and metabolites among the three groups. Pearson correlation analysis was used to detect the correlation between effusion microbiota and metabolites. Results: There were differences in microbial diversity and microbiota composition among the three groups. Combined with VIP>1 from OPLS-DA andP<0.05 from two-tailed Students t-test, 45 differential metabolites(Between RA and OA groups), 38 differential metabolites(Between UA and OA groups) and 16 differential metabolites(Between RA and UA groups), were identified. GO analysis and KEGG pathway analysis showed that the differential metabolic pathways among the three groups were mainly concentrated in citric acid cycle(TCA cycle), nucleotide metabolism, amino acid metabolism and glycolysis pathway. Correlation analysis of joint effusion microbiota and metabolites suggested that bacteria enriched in the three groups of joint effusion, such asPrevotella,Clostridium ruminosus,Prevotellaceae＿UCG-001, were related to many key metabolites such as lysozyme, uric acid, glucose, and L-glutamine. Conclusion This study shows that there are a variety of bacterial flora in joint cavity effusion of RA, OA, and UA patients, and the differential metabolites produced by them are involved in the pathogenesis of the three types of arthritis by affecting a variety of metabolic pathways.

Human brain banks use a standardized protocol to collect,process and store post-mortem human brains and related tissues,along with relevant clinical information,and to provide the tissue samples and data as a resource to foster neuroscience research according to a standardized operating protocols(SOP).Human brain bank serves as the foundation for neuroscience research and the diagnosis of neurological disorders,highlighting the crucial rule of ensuring the consistency of standardized quality for brain tissue samples.The first version of SOP in 2017 was published by the China Human Brain Bank Consortium.As members increases from different regions in China,a revised SOP was drafted by experts from the China Human Brain Bank Consortium to meet the growing demands for neuroscience research.The revised SOP places a strong emphasis on ethical standards,incorporates neuropathological evaluation of brain regions,and provides clarity on spinal cord sampling and pathological assessment.Notable enhancements in this updated version of the SOP include reinforced ethical guidelines,inclusion of matching controls in recruitment,and expansion of brain regions to be sampled for neuropathological evaluation.
