BackgroundIn recent years， the incidence of non-suicidal self-injury （NSSI） behaviors among adolescents has been increasing annually. Self-esteem and alexithymia are strongly associated with NSSI behaviors， and alienation is closely linked to both self-esteem and alexithymia. However， there is limited research on the relationship between alienation and NSSI behaviors among adolescents in China. ObjectiveTo analyze the relationship between alienation and NSSI behaviors among adolescents， and to explore the factors influencing NSSI behaviors in this population， so as to provide insights for the prevention and treatment of NSSI behaviors in adolescents. MethodsAdolescents admitted to the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at the 923^rd Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from September 1， 2021 to March 1， 2023， who met the diagnostic criteria for NSSI in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders， fifth edition （DSM-5）， were selected as the study group （n=60）. Concurrently， middle school students from Nanning were recruited as the control group （n=60）. Participants were assessed using Adolescent Self Harm Scale （ASHS）， Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale （RSES）， Toronto Alexithymia Scale （TAS） and Adolescent Students′ Alienation Scale （ASAS）. Pearson correlation analysis was employed to examine the relationships between scale scores in the study group， and Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors of NSSI behaviors among adolescents. ResultsThe RSES score of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group （t=-7.033， P<0.01）. The TAS and ASAS scores of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group （t=5.591， 8.124， P<0.01）. The ASHS score was negatively correlated with RSES score （r=-0.410， P<0.01） and positively correlated with ASAS score （r=0.555， P<0.01）. The RSES scores of the study group were negatively correlated with TAS and ASAS scores （r=-0.317， -0.590， P<0.05 or 0.01）. Logistic regression analysis showed that being female （OR=0.714， 95% CI： 0.042~0.709） was a protective factor for NSSI behaviors among adolescents， while high alienation （OR=1.028， 95% CI： 1.013~1.043） and residing in rural areas （OR=6.692， 95% CI： 2.038~21.967） were risk factors for NSSI behaviors among adolescents. ConclusionAlienation was positively correlated with NSSI behaviors in adolescents. Background::Genetic variants of dopaminergic transcription factor-encoding genes are suggested to be Parkinson’s disease (PD) risk factors; however, no comprehensive analyses of these genes in patients with PD have been undertaken. Therefore, we aimed to genetically analyze 16 dopaminergic transcription factor genes in Chinese patients with PD.Methods::Whole-exome sequencing (WES) was performed using a Chinese cohort comprising 1917 unrelated patients with familial or sporadic early-onset PD and 1652 controls. Additionally, whole-genome sequencing (WGS) was performed using another Chinese cohort comprising 1962 unrelated patients with sporadic late-onset PD and 1279 controls.Results::We detected 308 rare and 208 rare protein-altering variants in the WES and WGS cohorts, respectively. Gene-based association analyses of rare variants suggested that MSX1 is enriched in sporadic late-onset PD. However, the significance did not pass the Bonferroni correction. Meanwhile, 72 and 1730 common variants were found in the WES and WGS cohorts, respectively. Unfortunately, single-variant logistic association analyses did not identify significant associations between common variants and PD. Conclusions::Variants of 16 typical dopaminergic transcription factors might not be major genetic risk factors for PD in Chinese patients. However, we highlight the complexity of PD and the need for extensive research elucidating its etiology.

Objective:We aimed to develop a novel visualized model based on nomogram to predict postoperative overall survival.Methods:This was a multicenter, retrospective, observational cohort study, including participants with histologically confirmed gastric and colorectal cancer who underwent radical surgery from 11 medical centers in China from August 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018. Baseline characteristics, histopathological data and nutritional status, as assessed using Nutrition Risk Screening 2002 (NRS 2002) score and the scored Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment, were collected. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression and Cox regression were used to identify variables to be included in the predictive model. Internal and external validations were performed.Results:There were 681 and 127 patients in the training and validation cohorts, respectively. A total of 188 deaths were observed over a median follow-up period of 59 (range: 58 to 60) months. Two independent predictors of NRS 2002 and Tumor-Node-Metastasis (TNM) stage were identified and incorporated into the prediction nomogram model together with the factor of age. The model's concordance index for 1-, 3- and 5-year overall survival was 0.696, 0.724, and 0.738 in the training cohort and 0.801, 0.812, and 0.793 in the validation cohort, respectively.Conclusions:In this study, a new nomogram prediction model based on NRS 2002 score was developed and validated for predicting the overall postoperative survival of patients with gastric colorectal cancer. This model has good differentiation, calibration and clinical practicability in predicting the long-term survival rate of patients with gastrointestinal cancer after radical surgery.

Objective:To describe functional disability rate of anxiety disorders in Chinese community adults and explore related risk factors of functional disability.Methods:To conduct in-depth data analysis on China Mental Health Survey(CMHS).The diagnostic tool for anxiety disorders was the Composite International Diagnostic Inter-view-3.0,according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders,Fourth Edition(DSM-Ⅳ).The World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule,2nd edition,was the functional disability assessment standard for anxiety disorders.Weighted 12-month functional disability rate of DSM-Ⅳ anxiety disorder with co-morbidities and only anxiety disorder in population and those in patients,as well as days of partial disability were calculated.The effects of anxiety disorders comorbid other mental disorders and physical diseases and demographic factors on the severity and occurrence of functional disability were analyzed by multiple linear regression and logis-tic regression.Results:The functional disability rate of anxiety disorder with comorbidities in population was 1.7％,and 42.2％in patients,in which constituent rate of grade-four disability was the highest as 84.1％.The functional disability rate of only anxiety disorder in population was 0.3％,and 17.8％in patients.The medians of days of partial disability days in the past 30 days were from 0 to 14.42.Multiple linear regression showed a positive association between comorbid anxiety disorder with other mental disorders and physical diseases(β=0.24),comor-bid other mental disorders and physical diseases(β=0.21),physical diseases(β=0.18),comorbid anxiety disor-der and physical diseases(β=0.15),comorbid anxiety disorder with other mental disorders(β=0.08),other men-tal disorders(β=0.07),only anxiety disorder(β=0.06),lower education level(β=0.12),lower economic status(β=0.08),older age(β=0.06),non-marital status(β=0.06),male(β=0.02)and the severity of functional dis-ability.Logistic regression showed that comorbid anxiety with other mental disorders and physical diseases(OR=64.07),comorbid anxiety disorders with other mental disorders(OR=36.75),comorbid other mental disorders with physical diseases(OR=20.60),comorbid anxiety with physical diseases(OR=18.88),anxiety disorder(OR=9.20),other mental disorders(OR=6.65),physical diseases(OR=4.00),65 years old and over(OR=4.40),50 to 64 years old(OR=2.33),low economic status(OR=2.10),illiterate and below primary school educational level(OR=1.89),middle economic status(OR=1.70),elementary school educational level(OR=1.59),non-marital status(OR=1.47),male(OR=1.16)were the risk factors of the occurrence of functional disability.Conclusion:Comorbidity of anxiety disorders and other mental disorders,and physical diseases increases severity and occurrence of functional disability.Comorbidity,male,gender,older age,lower economic and educa-tional level and non-marital are risk factors of anxiety disorder functional disability.

Objective:To describe disability rates of dementia in community residents aged 65 years and over in China,and explore related risk factors of disability.Methods:This study conducted an in-depth data analysis of the China Mental Health Survey.World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0(WHODAS 2.0)was used to assess dementia disability,Community Screening Interview for Dementia(CSID)and Geriatric Mental Status Examination(GMS)were used for dementia screening and diagnosing.Univariate analysis was used to calcu-late the weighted disability rates of dementia in population and in patients,and their population distribution.Multiple linear regression and logistic regression were used to analyze the risk factors of the occurrence of dementia disability and its severity.Results:The weighted disability rate of dementia was 2.1％in population,and 38.6％in pa-tients.The disability rates of comorbid dementia in population and in patients were higher than those of patients with only dementia.Female,older age,lower education level,lower economic status,and lower cognitive test scores in CSID had higher disability rates of dementia in population.Female and urban resident had higher disability rates of dementia in patients.Multiple linear regression showed economic status(β=0.11),gender(β=0.11),age(β=0.10),and treatment in the last 12 months(β=-0.20)were statistically associated with WHODAS 2.0 scores.Multiple logistic regression showed female(OR=2.81)and treatment in the last 12 months(OR=2.38)were statistically associated with disability.Conclusions:Persons with low economic status,female and elderly peo-ple are the high-risk groups for dementia disability.It should be paid attention to prevent dementia and its conse-quential disabilities.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the supportive policies for caregivers issued in China, and analyze the structures and contents. MethodsThe national supportive policies for family caregivers in China within the past decade were text-mined using ROSTCM 6.0. Secondary indicators were established according to the Policy Modeling Consistency (PMC) index model combining with World Health Organization six blocks of health services. ResultsThe average PMC score was 7.38. There were seven good policies and three accepted policies. The policies covered well in publicity, recipients and functions, and needed to improve in incentive and restraint. ConclusionChina's policies have played a positive role in supporting family caregivers. It is needed to reduce the burden on family caregivers and improve their welfare.

The contents recorded in the rotation registration manual is not only the quantitative indicators for evaluating the quality of residency training, but also the important basis for training assessment and issuance of training certificates. In order to solve the problems of data authenticity, information delay, and repeated entry in the rotation registration manual for residency training, Shanghai East Hospital, Tongji University, launched a project to dock the electronic rotation registration manual with the hospital information system. Through the establishment of the project team, the development of working mechanisms, and the implementation of the project, data analysis was used for process reformation and system optimization, so as to continuously improve management efficiency and medical safety while solving problems and form a set of implementation system with reference significance in practice.

The standardized residency training is an important stage in the training of physicians. Shanghai East Hospital has explored the system of the whole-process tutor management in the residency training. To explore the specific methods of carrying out the whole-process tutor training for residents in the whole hospital, gradually the whole-process tutor system is built with qualification certification, mutual selection of teachers and students, tutor empowerment, plan implementation and assessment and evaluation. Meanwhile, a supporting informatization platform is being developed to provide necessary tool support for the implementation and promotion of the whole-process tutor of residency training. And information tools are used to carry out implementation management, process optimization and quality monitoring, so as to form a closed management loop.

The paper reports two cases of lipoprotein glomerulopathy (LPG) in children. The Sanger sequencing results in 2 cases indicated apolipoprotein E gene mutation[c.127 (exon3) C>T, p.R43C (p.Arg43Cys); c.494 (exon4) G>C, p.R165P (p.Arg165Pro),respectively]. Renal pathological presentation of two children showed that a large number of lipoprotein emboli were formed in the glomerular capillary loop, and the diagnosis of LPG was confirmed. The onset of LPG has no specific clinical manifestation, which is easy to be undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. Renal biopsy is a diagnostic means, glucocorticoid treatment is ineffective, and long-term lipid-lowering treatment may be required for LPG.

Telephone follow-up is one of the important ways to follow up patients. High-quality follow-up can benefit both doctors and patients. However, clinical research-related follow-up is often faced with problems such as time-consuming, laborious and poor patient compliance. The authors belong to a team that has been committed to the study of patient-reported outcomes for a long time. The team has carried out long-term follow-up of symptoms, daily function and postoperative complications of more than 1 000 patients after lung cancer surgery, and accumulated certain experience. In this paper, the experience of telephone follow-up was summarized and discussed with relevant literatures from the aspects of clarifying the purpose of clinical research follow-up, understanding the needs of patients in follow-up, and using follow-up skills.
