1.Study on the effects of two approaches in the repair of unilateral microform cleft lip
Journal of Practical Stomatology 2024;40(5):661-665
Objective:To study the effects of unilateral microform cleft lip repaire by small and internal incision respectively.Meth-ods:This retrospective study was carried out by comparing the measurements of lip form in 42 patients with micro cleft lip before and af-ter operation with internal incision(n=22)and small incision(n=20)respectively.The evaluation was performed using two-dimension-al photographic analysis before, immediate and 2-years-post operation. The statistical significance was analysed using paired sample t test and independent sample t test. Results:The difference between the immediate and 2-year post-operative measurements were statis-tically significant(P<0.05).The lip-height ratio and lip-width ratio were close to 1 after surgery. For the philtrum oblique angle, the im-provemet of small incision group was more significant than that of the internal group(preoperation vs 2-year-post operation P=0.002,im-mediate postoperation vs 2-year-postoperation P=0.017 respectively). Conclusion:Both internal and small incisions are effective for the repair of unilateral microform cleft lip.The small incision approach is more effective for the improvement of the philtrum oblique angle.

Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2019;25(6):447-451
Objective:
To introduce the application of muscle reconstruction torque balance theory in the new rotating advancement method, and to evaluate the postoperative effect of this method on the nasal lip symmetry of patients with unilateral cleft lip.
Methods:
A total of 62 patients with unilateral cleft lip were treated with two-dimensional radiography of posterior anterior position and mandibular chin position before, immediately and one-year follow-up. Five indexes representing the symmetry of lip and nose were measured by photoshop software. T test was used to compare the measurement results of each angle or distance index at different times.
