AIM:To investigate the current status and influencing factors of knowledge-attitude-practice in myopia prevention and control among children and adolescents in Ningbo City, thereby providing a scientific basis for formulating targeted prevention strategies.METHODS: Children and adolescents aged 6-12 years old were selected from the medical-school collaborative myopia prevention network in Ningbo City between August 2024 and May 2025 using stratified cluster sampling. Information on myopia prevention knowledge(15 items)and practice(9 items)was collected through questionnaire surveys. Logistic regression models were used to analyze factors influencing myopia occurrence in children and adolescents.RESULTS: A total of 664 children and adolescents aged 6-12 years were enrolled in this study. Participants were divided by age into three groups: 6-7 years old(n=221), 8-9 years old(n=221), and 10-12 years old(n=222). Of the 664 questionnaires distributed, 637 valid questionnaires were returned(201 from the 6-7 age group, 235 from the 8-9 age group, and 201 from the 10-12 age group), yielding an effective response rate of 95.9%. Based on myopia screening results, the non-myopic group comprised 203 participants(31.9%), including 100 males and 103 females, with a mean age of 8.82±1.98 years old. The myopic group comprised 434 participants(68.1%), including 213 males and 221 females, with a mean age of 9.10±1.95 years old. The myopia prevalence rates in the 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12 age groups were 37.8%(76/201), 71.9%(169/235), and 94.0%(189/201), respectively(P<0.001). Regarding the knowledge and practice of myopia prevention, the overall awareness rate in the non-myopic group(59.7%±9.7%)was significantly higher than that in the myopic group(48.7%±8.5%; P<0.001). Additionally, the non-myopic group scored higher on the key practice of “regular eye examinations”(4.27±0.96)compared to the myopic group(4.10±1.05; P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that age was the primary risk factor for myopia occurrence.CONCLUSION: Age is the dominant factor in the onset of myopia, and there is a phenomenon of “knowledge-practice gap”; the traditional health education model has limitations, and a precise prevention and control system based on developmental patterns should be established.

Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of measles cases in the measles elimination stage and to provide a scientific basis for the prevention, control, diagnosis and treatment of measles. Methods The descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the clinical characteristics of 442 confirmed measles cases in Hebei Province from 2018 to 2020. Results Among the 442 measles cases, the main symptoms were rash (96.61%), fever (90.50%), cough (56.11%), and Koplik spots (30.09%). Complications were mainly pneumonia (12.22%). There were significant differences in symptoms among different age groups (P < 0.05). The incidence of symptoms in children under 5 years old (except cough) was higher than that in other age groups. Immunization history had no significant impact on the symptoms of fever and rash (P > 0.05), but the incidence of symptoms such as cough, conjunctivitis, Koplik's spots and catarrhal rhinitis in the immunized group was lower than that in the non-immunized group (P < 0.05). The group with an interval of 0 days from fever to rash was the largest, and the proportion of people with an immunization history in the 0-day group (68.06%) was significantly higher than that in the 3-4-day group (49.44%) (P < 0.05). Pneumonia complications were mainly concentrated in children under 5 years old (87.03%), and most of the cases had a 0-dose immunization history (81.48%). Conclusion In the measles elimination stage, the incidence of fever and rash in cases is relatively high, while the incidence of Koplik spots is relatively low. The symptoms are more obvious in the younger age group. Vaccination can reduce the incidence of specific symptoms. The change in the time of rash appearance suggests that the diagnosis and treatment plan need to be adjusted. This study provides key data support for the formulation of measles prevention, control and treatment strategies.

Background The decline of physical activity in the elderly due to aging may increase the risk of sarcopenia. Currently, there is a lack of evidence from large natural populations on the relationship between PA and sarcopenia. Objective To explore the relationship between PA and sarcopenia in the elderly aged 60 years and above in 10 provinces (autonomous regions) of China. Methods Data were retrieved from the 2022—2023 round of the China Development and Nutrition Health Impact Cohort. Personal basic information and PA data were collected by questionnaire survey. Skeletal muscle mass was measured by bio-electrical impedance analysis, muscle strength was measured using a grip dynamometer, and physical performance was reflected by 6-meter walk speed. The Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia (AWGS) 2019 criteria were used to diagnose sarcopenia. Light physical activity (LPA) duration, moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) duration, and total physical activity volume were calculated. A total of

Objective:
To investigate trends of incidence, mortality, and years of life lost (YLL) rate of lung cancer in cancer registration areas of Guizhou Province from 2017 to 2021, so as to provide references for formulating lung cancer prevention and control strategies and reducing the disease burden of lung cancer.
Methods:
The qualified lung cancer registration data from cancer registration areas of Guizhou Province from 2017 to 2021 were collected, the crude incidence and mortality of lung cancer were calculated by urban/rural areas, genders and ages. The standardized incidence and standardized mortality was calculated using the age structure of the standard population from the Fifth National Population Census in 2000. YLL was calculated using the standard life table from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019. The disease burden of lung cancer was assessed using incidence, mortality, and YLL rate, and the trend in the disease burden of lung cancer from 2017 to 2021 was calculated using annual percent change (APC).
Results :
From 2017 to 2021, the crude incidence, standardized incidence, crude mortality, standardized mortality, YLL and YLL rate in Guizhou Province were 53.13/100 000, 37.58/100 000, 42.77/100 000, 29.44/100 000, 98.19 thousand person-years and 10.95‰, respectively. The standardized incidence and standardized mortality of lung cancer were higher in rural areas than in urban areas (39.45/100 000 vs. 34.23/100 000, 30.68/100 000 vs. 27.18/100 000). The standardized incidence and standardized mortality of lung cancer were higher in males than in females (49.34/100 000 vs. 26.47/100 000, 41.31/100 000 vs. 18.28/100 000). The crude incidence and crude mortality of lung cancer increased with age, peaking in the 80-<85 age group (360.84/100 000) and the ≥85 age group (414.85/100 000), respectively. From 2017 to 2021, the standardized incidence demonstrated downward trends in the total population, urban areas and males (APC=-6.590%, -5.829%, and -6.729%, all P<0.05). The standardized mortality demonstrated downward trends in urban areas and females (APC=-3.710% and -5.378%, both P<0.05). The YLL rate also showed downward trends in urban areas and females (APC=-3.957% and -3.631%, both P<0.05).
Conclusions
From 2017 to 2021, the overall disease burden of lung cancer in registration areas of Guizhou Province showed a decreasing trend. However, the disease burden remained relatively heavier in rural areas and males, with a relatively gradual change.

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of olapalib in the treatment of platinum-sensitive recurrent breast cancer susceptibility gene (BRCA)-mutated ovarian cancer. Methods:The clinical data of 105 patients with platinum-sensitive recurrent BRCA-mutated ovarian cancer confirmed by pathology/imaging from October 2020 to March 2023 in Baoding Second Central Hospital were selected retrospectively, and they were divided into the control group (52 cases) and the experimental group (53 cases) according to the treatment methods. The control group was treated with a platinum-containing regimen, followed by olaparib at the end of the treatment. The experimental group was treated with olaparib. The recent clinical outcomes, tumour marker levels, ovarian cancer functional assessment of treatment questionnaire (FACT-O) score, cancer fatigue scale (CFS) score, and adverse reaction were compared between the two groups. The survival curve was drawn by Kaplan-Meier, and the prognosis was compared. Results:The overall response rate clinical in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group: 64.15%(34/53) vs.44.23%(23/52), there was a statistical difference ( χ2 = 4.20, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum glycoantigen (CA) 125, CA153, human epithelial protein 4 (HE4), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group: (42.35 ± 6.85) kU/L vs. (46.64 ± 7.11) kU/L, (24.26 ± 4.58) kU/L vs. (26.74 ± 5.20) kU/L, (144.25 ± 19.85) pmol/L vs. (155.64 ± 21.26) pmol/L, (335.32 ± 38.41) μg/L vs. (359.47 ± 41.24) μg/L; the FACT-O scores in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group: (55.24 ± 6.85)scores vs. (51.26 ± 7.19) scores; the CFS scores in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group: (38.51 ± 6.11) scores vs. (44.94 ± 8.38) scores, there were statistical differences ( P<0.05).After treatment, the rate of dizziness, nausea, leukopenia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and anemia in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group ( P<0.05). The results of the survival curve showed that the median progression-free survival in the experimental group was longer than that in the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Single-agent olaparib is effective in treating platinum-sensitive recurrent BRCA-mutated ovarian cancer, and can improve quality of life, reduce anemia and adverse reaction, and prolong patients′ median survival.
