Objective A biomechanical model of cervical kyphosis under the effects of axial traction load and lateral push load was establised,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of cervical curvature abnormalities, and formulate the most appropriate treatment plan for patients. Methods Based on the CT scan data of patients, the axial data of the cervical spine was extracted to fit the cervical curvature curve.Using the Timoshenko beam theory and the cervical rehabilitation training system,a mathematical model of cervical kyphosis was established for analytical calculations to obtain the recovery curve of the cervical spine under load and the total load required to cure cervical kyphosis, and its rationality was also verified. Results The biomechanical model of cervical kyphosis was established.Under the effects of axial traction load and lateral push load, the cervical spine effectively developed in the direction of physiological bending. The total axial load and lateral load were 353 N and 5 649 N,respectively, and the total axial load increased with the increase in traction angle. The therapeutic moment of the total lateral load decreased as the Bordon value increased. The therapeutic moment of the axial load was smaller than that of the lateral load in the range of normal Bordon value, confirming the rationality of the loads. Conclusions The established biomechanical model of cervical kyphosis can accurately simulate the biomechanical characteristics of the cervical spine, and the analysis results were valid, providing a mechanical theoretical basis for the design of treatment plans for patients.

OBJECTIVE:To compare the methods for the con tent determination of polysaccharide and reducing sugar in Polygonatum cyrtonema, and to optimize the wine-steaming technology of P. cyrtonema . METHODS : The contents of polysaccharide in P. cyrtonema were determined by anthrone-sulfuric acid method and phenol-sulfuric acid method. The contents of reducing sugar in P. cyrtonema were determined by anthrone-sulfuric acid method , phenol-sulfuric acid method and 3, 5-dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS)method, respectively. Taking appearance and property scores of processed products ,the contents of polysaccharide, reducing sugar and total sugar as indicators ,the amount of alcohol added ,steaming time and moistening time as factors, the wine-steaming technology of P. cyrtonema was optimized by Latin square design. The contents of polysaccharide , reducing sugar and total sugar were compared before and after steaming. RESULTS :The linear ranges of polysaccharide and reducing sugar obtained by anthrone-sulfuric acid method were both 0.006 6-0.033 mg/mL(R2=0.999 9). RSDs of precision , stability(90 min)and reproducibility tests were all lower than 3% and 2%,respectively. Average recoveries were 99.75%(RSD= 0.48%,n=6)and 103.40%(RSD=1.25%,n=6),respectively. The linear ranges of polysaccharide and reducing sugar obtained by phenol-sulfuric acid method were both 0.002 5-0.025 mg/mL(R2=0.999 2). RSDs of precision ,stability (90 min) and reproducibility tests were all lower than 5% and 6%,respectively. Average recoveries were 112.80%(RSD=2.36%,n=6)and 99.20%(RSD=3.47%,n=6). The linear range of reducing sugar obtained by DNS method was 0.01-0.18 mg/mL(R2=0.999 9). RSDs of precision ,stability(90 min)and reproducibility tests were all lower than 2%. Average recoveries was 96.95%(RSD= 1.19%,n=6). The optimal wine-steaming technology of P. cyrtonema included the amount of alcohol added of 20%,moistening time of 2 h and steaming time of 7 h. RSDs of average contents of polysaccharide ,reducing sugar and total sugar in wine-steamed products were all lower than 3% in 3 times of validation tests (n=3). The average contents of polysaccharide ,reducing sugar and total sugar in 4 batches of P. cyrtonema were 16.3%,11.2% and 27.4%;those of 4 batches of wine-steamed products were 3.4%, 61.0% and 64.4%,respectively. CONCLUSIONS :The anthrone- ) sulfuric acid method is the best for the determination of poly- saccharide in P. cyrtonema ;DNS method is the best for the pandongmei1228@126.com determination of reducing sugar in P. cyrtonema. The content ofpolysaccharide in wine-steamed products is decreased signifi- cantly, while the contents of reducing sugar and total sugar are increased significantly.

Objective To investigate the causes of death and the influencing factors in patients with peripheral arterial disease(PAD) during the perioperative period and reduce the perioperative mortality. Methods A retrospective analysis of the causes of death was performed for PAD during the perioperative period in our hospital from July 2005 to July 2010. Results Nine patients died preoperatively. The causes of death were multible organ failure in 5,heart failure in 2,sudden cardiac death in 1,and respiratory failure in 1.Six patients died postoperatively. The causes of death were acute renal failure in 2,heart failure in 2,cerebral infarction in 1,and hemorrhagic shock in 1.The causes of death which were related to heart, kidney and lung were in 10,6 and 2,respectively.The causes of death which were directly due to heart failure, sudden cardiac death, renal failure, respiratory failure, cerebral infarction and hemorrhagic shock were in 4,1,2,1,1 and 1,respectively.The main causes of death were multible organ failure, heart failure and acute renal failure, which accounted for 73.33% of all deaths. In this series the overall perioperative mortality was 3.11% (15/483),Operative mortality was 1.47% (6/407).Conclusions The influencing factors and the function of organs were closely correlated with the causes of death. To reduce the perioperative mortality of PAD,it is necessary both to intervene in the influencing factors and to monitor and treat the dysfunction of vital organs.

Objective To explore the relationship between the membranous tissue(MT)and organized thrombus(OT)in membranous obstruction of the inferior vena cava(MOVC),we investigated the related cytokines expression in the membranous tissues in MOVC as well as venous organized thrombi. Methods Using immunohistochemical method the expression of TGFβR,PDGFR,ET-1,FⅧ-rAg, ferritin and α1-antitrypsin were observed in the membranous tissues in 11 cases with MOVC and organized thrombi in 8 cases with deep venous thrombosis(DVT). Results Expression rates of TGFβR,PDGFR,ET-1,FⅧ-rAg, and ferritin in membranous tissues in 11 cases with MOVC and organized thrombi in 8 cases with DVT were as follows: TGFβR:MT 72.3%,OT 50%(P>0.05);PDGFR:MT 45.5%,OT 100%(P<0.05=;ET-1:MT 100%,OT 0(P<0.05=;FⅧ-rAg: MT 90.9%,OT 12.5%(P<0.05=;ferritin: MT 72.3%,OT 100%(P>0.05).α1-antitrypasin was not detected in either membranous tissues of MOVC or organized thrombi of DVT. Conclusions ThrovIgh the investigation of the related cytokines expression, it is possible that membranous tissue formation in MOVC is related to the organized thrombus.
