Objective:To investigate the reference intervals of serum uric acid levels in normal-weight children and analyze the factors influencing these levels. Methods:In this cross-sectional study, clinical data were collected from 7 910 normal-weight children, aged 1 month to 15 years, who underwent health check-ups at the Children′s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine between August 2013 and August 2023. Data included sex, age, pubertal signs, blood pressure, and serum uric acid levels. The participants were categorized into 4 age groups: 1-<12 months, 1-<6 years, 6-<11 years, and 11-<16 years, and were further analyzed by sex. The P5 and P95 percentiles of uric acid values were defined as the lower and upper limits of the reference interval, respectively. Correlation analysis and partial correlation analysis were used to assess the relationship between uric acid and other variables such as age, body mass index Z value, and Tanner stage. Multivariate linear regression was used to compare uric acid levels across gender and age groups, respectively. Results:Among the 7 910 children, the distribution across age groups was as follows: 562 (317 boys) in 1-<12 months, 4 120 (2 366 boys) in 1-<6 years, 2 357 (1 432 boys) in 6-<11 years, and 871 (536 boys) in 11-<16 years, the uric acid levels in boys were significantly higher than those in girls ( P<0.05). Uric acid levels exhibited a positive correlation with age ( r=0.47 , 0.20, both P<0.001), and a weak positive correlation with BMI Z-scores(both r=0.11, P<0.001). Among participants aged 6-<11 years and 11-<16 years, uric acid levels in boys were positively correlated with Tanner stage ( r=0.10, 0.27, both P<0.05), but no significant correlation was observed in girls (all P>0.05). The uric acid levels were significantly higher in boys than in girls in the 1-<12 months, 1-<6 years and 11-<16 years age groups (all P<0.05), but no significant gender difference was found in the 6-<11 years groups ( P>0.05). Uric acid levels exhibited statistically significant variations among age groups ( P<0.001). The reference intervals of uric acid values were as follows in 1-<12 months age group, 157-335 μmol/L for boys and 160-315 μmol/L for girls; in 1-<6 years age group, 180-359 μmol/L for boys and 180-355 μmol/L for girls; in 6-<11 years group, 190-375 μmol/L; in 11-<16 years age group, 237-480 μmol/L for boys and 218-410 μmol/L for girls. Conclusions:Reference intervals for uric acid varying significantly across different pediatric age groups. Sex, and pubertal development status are closely related to uric acid levels.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the current situation of pharmaceutical management in compact medical consortium of Guangdong province, and to provide decision-making basis for promoting the high-quality construction and sustainable development of the provincial medical consortium. METHODS A self-designed questionnaire was used to select 50 compact medical consortiums in Guangdong province. The survey was answered by the heads of the pharmacy department of the general hospitals. The survey covered the basic scale of the consortium, the appointment of chief pharmacists, the implementation of pharmaceutical management and pharmaceutical care homogenization within the consortium, the difficulties in promoting the homogenization, and the expected provincial support. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed on the survey results. RESULTS A total of 50 questionnaires were collected, and the effective recovery rate was 100%. There were 16 chief pharmacists (32.00%) in charge of the pharmacy department of the general hospital in the medical consortium. Thirty-seven medical consortiums (74.00%) had established a drug supply support system within the consortium, 35 medical consortiums (70.00%) had carried out pharmaceutical management and coordination work within the medical consortium, 23 medical consortiums (46.00%) had established a clinical medication guidance system, 25 medical consortiums chenwenying2016@163.com (50.00%) had established a bidirectional communication mechanism, and only 8 medical consortiums (16.00%) had developed new models of pharmaceutical care. At present, the difficulties in promoting the homogenization of pharmaceutical management and pharmaceutical care within the medical consortium were mainly found in three aspects: the wide gap in management level of each member unit, the lack and uneven level of pharmaceutical personnel, and insufficient policy support and implementation. Most medical consortiums hoped that relevant departments could promote the homogenization of pharmaceutical work by holding special training courses or special supervision. CONCLUSIONS At present, the compact medical consortium in Guangdong province has achieved initial results in the implementation of the chief pharmacist system, the homogenization of pharmaceutical management and pharmaceutical care. However, it is still necessary to improve the coverage of chief pharmacist appointments in the medical consortium, implement the homogenization of pharmaceutical management, and accelerate the homogenization process of pharmaceutical care.

Objective:To explore the knowledge, attitude, and practice of insulin injection among nurses in Beijing and analyze its influencing factors. Methods:From July to August 2019, stratified-random-cluster multi-stage sampling was used to select 7 448 nurses from 30 hospitals of different levels in Beijing as the research subject. The survey was conducted using the General Information Questionnaire and the Insulin Injection Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice Questionnaire. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of nurses' knowledge, attitude, and practice on insulin injection. Results:A total of 7 448 questionnaires were distributed and 7 448 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective response rate of 100.00% (7 448/7 448). Among 7 448 nurses, 6 942 had no positions, and the scores of the belief dimension, behavior dimension, and the total score of questionnaire were calculated; the knowledge dimension score was calculated based on the overall sample. The total score of the Insulin Injection Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice Questionnaire was (115.22±10.75), and the scores for each dimension of the questionnaire were (14.14±2.97), (17.29±2.73), and (83.82±7.72), respectively. The proportion of nurses who scored well in all questionnaire dimensions was 19.01% (1 320/6 942). The excellent score rates of each dimension in the questionnaire, from high to low, were the practice dimension [92.71% (6 436/6 942) ], attitude dimension [76.40% (5 304/6 942) ], and knowledge dimension [22.35% (1 665/7 448) ]. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of insulin injection knowledge, attitude, and practice among nurses were gender, age, professional title and department ( P<0.05). The influencing factors of knowledge were gender, age, years of work, education level, professional title, and department ( P<0.05). The influencing factors of attitude were gender, professional title, and department ( P<0.05). The influencing factors of practice were gender and age ( P<0.05). The above differences were statistically significant. Conclusions:Nurses at all levels of hospitals in Beijing have great beliefs and behaviors in insulin injection but lack knowledge. The knowledge of insulin injection among clinical nurses can be enhanced by improving the training and education standards on insulin injection, regularly providing insulin injection knowledge training and skill assessment to clinical nurses and other methods.
