Objective To compare the effects of Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides,cyclophosphamide,and cisplatin on the establishment of a mouse model of diminished ovarian reserve(DOR).Methods Mice were randomly divided into the following treatment groups:control(Ctrl),Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides(TWP),cyclophosphamide(CTX),and cisplatin(DDP).Mice in the TWP group received a 50 mg/kg suspension of Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides by gavage for 14 days,mice in the CTX group received a 20 mg/kg cyclophosphamide suspension by intraperitoneal injection for 14 days,and mice in the DDP group received a 1.5 mg/kg cisplatin solution by intraperitoneal injection for 14 days.The body weight,uterine index,and ovarian index were recorded,the estrous cycle was monitored using the vaginal smear method,and the levels of anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH),estradiol(E2),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),and luteinizing hormone(LH)were detected using ELISA.Hematoxylin and eosin staining was used to detect ovarian follicle development.The rates of oocyte maturation and fertility were analyzed.Results The three treatment groups of mice all showed the following:significantly decreased body weight and ovarian index(P＜0.05);apparent disorder of the estrous cycle;significantly decreased levels of AMH and E2(P＜0.05);decreased and increased rates of developing follicles and atretic follicles,respectively(P＜0.05);and significantly decreased rates of oocyte maturation,pregnancy,and live birth(P＜0.05).Conclusions DOR mouse models were successfully constructed using Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides,cyclophosphamide,or cisplatin,as evidenced by decreased body weight and ovarian index,disordered estrous cycle and hormones,and DOR function,resulting in reduced rates of oocyte maturation,pregnancy,and total number of live births.These DOR effects were most appropriate in the cyclophosphamide group.

Objectives:To provide a new perspective on the epidemiological characteristics of vertebral column fracture in China and to guide the formulation of targeted public health strategies.Methods:The Global Burden of Disease 2021 database was utilized to analyze the epidemiological trends of vertebral column fracture in China from 1990 to 2021.The study further explored the disease burden characteristics related to age,sex,and etiology.The Joinpoint regression model was employed to calculate the average annual percent change(AAPC)to analyze the temporal trends of age-standardized rates.The Bayesian age-period-cohort(BAPC)model was used to forecast the age-standardized rates for 2035.Results:In 2021,the incidence and prevalence of vertebral column fracture in China were 1194465[95％uncertainty interval(UI):888994-1594120]and 717078(95％UI:619114-835347),respectively,representing increases of 52.28％and 113.66％compared to 1990.From 1990 to 2021,the age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)in China showed no significant upward trend,with an AAPC of 0.45％[95％confidence interval(CI):-0.29％to 1.20％,P＞0.05],while the age-standardized prevalence rate(ASPR)showed a significant upward trend,with an AAPC of 0.53％(95％CI:0.24％to 0.83％,P＜0.05).The BAPC prediction results for 2022-2035 indicated a downward trend for both ASIR and ASPR.Analysis by age group revealed that the peak age groups for incidence and preva-lence have increased,with the crude incidence rate(CIR)and crude prevalence rate(CPR)increasing with age,reflecting an aging trend.Gender analysis found that the disease burden was more prominent among middle-aged men and elderly women.Etiological analysis revealed that falls were the leading cause of spinal frac-tures in China,followed by road injuries.Conclusions:From 1990 to 2021,the disease burden of spinal fractures in China has significantly increased and shown an aging trend.Although the predicted disease bur-den for 2035 is expected to decline,it is still necessary to remain vigilant.Middle-aged men and elderly women are the key populations of concern,and emphasis should be placed on preventing falls and road in-juries.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of nasal endoscopy in curettage of large mandibular cyst.Methods:20 cases of large mandibular cyst admitted to Xianyang Hosptial of Yan'an University from January 2022 to December 2023 were included.The curet-tage of mandibular cyst was performed under general anesthesia through intraoral incision by nasal endoscopy-assisted illumination and enlargement of the lesion area during the operation.The application effects were evaluated from the aspects of surgical incision length,nerve injury and cyst recurrence.Results:During operation,the surgical filed of view was clear and the operation was suc-ceeded in all cases.There was no complication in and after the nasal endoscopy-assisted curettage,no cyst recurrence was observed during 1-year follow-up.Conclusion:Nasal endoscopy-assisted curettage of large mandibular cyst is effective and safe.

Accurately assessing and positioning the current development status of disciplines can help hospitals formulate targeted disciplinary development strategies and achieve disciplinary development goals. In 2022, a large tertiary public hospital established a discipline-demand-oriented " pyramid" hierarchical discipline evaluation system based on Maslow′s need-hierarchy theory. The discipline evaluation system set six levels of evaluation indicators from low to high, including medical quality and safety, department operation, sub specialty construction, scientific and educational achievements, platform construction, and talent cultivation(including 6 primary indicators, 21 secondary indicators, and 44 tertiary indicators). By applying the evaluation system and providing feedback on the evaluation results in the form of " disciplinary diagnostic reports" and " disciplinary evaluation conferences, " the hospital′s discipline construction had been improved at six levels. From 2022 to 2023, the hospital added five national clinical key specialties; The number of sub major construction disciplines increased from 18 in 2021 to 61 in 2023, and patient satisfaction increased from 94.64% to 96.25%. This evaluation system could objectively reflect the level of discipline development, lead the high-quality development of disciplines, and provide references for other public hospitals to promote discipline development.

ObjectiveTo investigate the performance of fibrosis-4 （FIB-4） versus aspartate aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio index （APRI） in predicting advanced liver fibrosis and disease progression in patients with chronic HBV infection. MethodsA total of 497 patients with chronic HBV infection who underwent liver biopsy in The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from February 2013 to December 2022 were enrolled， among whom 404 were enrolled in a retrospective study and 75 were enrolled in a prospective study. Related indicators were collected， including demographic features （sex and age）， biochemical indices （alanine aminotransferase ［ALT］ and aspartate aminotransferase ［AST］）， and platelet count， and FIB-4 and APRI were calculated. The Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparison of non-normally distributed continuous data between two groups， and the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for comparison between multiple groups； the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data between groups. The area under the ROC curve （AUC） was used to assess the ability of APRI and FIB-4 in evaluating liver fibrosis degree and disease progression in patients with chronic HBV infection. ResultsIn the retrospective analysis， compared with the FIB-4<2.67 group， the FIB-4≥2.67 group had a significantly higher proportion of the patients who were diagnosed with liver cirrhosis or hepatocellular carcinoma （66.19% vs 47.54%， χ²=12.75， P<0.001）. The medians of FIB-4 and APRI increased significantly with liver fibrosis degree from F0 to F4 （H=42.5 and 35.9， both P<0.001）. As for the fibrosis stage of F0-F4， the median of FIB-4 was significantly higher than that of APRI in the patients with the same fibrosis stage （H=59.71， P<0.001）. FIB-4 and APRI had a similar AUC for predicting stage F3 fibrosis （0.67 vs 0.65， Z=0.71， P=0.480）， while FIB-4 had a higher AUC for predicting stage F4 fibrosis than APRI （0.72 vs 0.64， Z=10.50， P<0.001）. In the prospective study cohort， FIB-4 and APRI showed an increasing trend over time in predicting disease progression （chronic hepatitis B to liver cirrhosis）， with an AUC of 0.718 （95% confidence interval ［CI］： 0.476‍ ‍—‍ ‍0.760） and 0.555 （95%CI： 0.408‍ ‍—‍ ‍0.703）， respectively， and FIB-4 had a significantly higher accuracy than APRI in predicting disease progression （χ²=12.44， P<0.001）. ConclusionFIB-4 and APRI can be used to evaluate advanced liver fibrosis （F3 and F4） and predict disease progression， and FIB-4 is superior to APRI in certain aspects.
