Objective:To study the epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis in Ordos City and provide reference and theoretical guidance for prevention and control of the disease. Methods:The surveillance data of human brucellosis cases and the serological surveillance data of key occupational populations reported by the Ordos City Center for Disease Control and Prevention from 2013 to 2022 were collected and analyzed descriptively. ArcGIS 10.8 software was used to draw a spatial distribution map of human brucellosis in Ordos City, and SPSS 26.0 software was used to conduct Spearman correlation analysis to further explore the impact of economic factors on human brucellosis. Results:From 2013 to 2022, a total of 8 676 cases of human brucellosis were reported in Ordos City, with an average annual incidence rate of 40.93/100 000. In 2022, 2 570 cases were reported, with an incidence rate of 116.78/100 000, reaching the peak in the past 10 years. The cases were mainly distributed in Dalad Banner, Hangjin Banner, and Otog Front Banner, with a total of 6 415 cases, accounting for 73.94% of the total number of cases. The spatial distribution spread from north to south and from north to east. The majority of cases were in the age group of 40 to 65 years old (6 061 cases, accounting for 69.86%), male (6 089 cases, accounting for 70.18%), and farmers and herdsmen (7 367 cases, accounting for 84.91%). The median time interval between onset and diagnosis was 16 days. The positive rate of serological surveillance in key occupational groups was 5.38% (7 058/131 229). The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that the number of agricultural legal entities, the number of animal husbandry legal entities, regional gross domestic product, per capita disposable income of rural and pastoral residents, total agricultural output value, the number of cattle and sheep at the end of the year, milk production, and mutton production were important factors affecting the incidence of brucellosis ( P < 0.05). Conclusions:The incidence of brucellosis in Ordos City is on the rise, and the epidemic situation is severe. It is necessary to strengthen the surveillance and joint prevention and control of human brucellosis to prevent the spread and expansion of the epidemic.

Objective:To explore the application effect of risk anticipation and coping intervention model in patients with cervical spondylosis undergoing anterior decompression and bone grafting with internal fixation. Methods:A convenience sampling method was used to select 132 patients with cervical spondylosis who underwent the aforementioned surgical procedure at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University between January 2022 and June 2024. Patients admitted between January 2022 and March 2023 ( n=66) formed the control group and received routine nursing care, while those admitted between April 2023 and June 2024 ( n=66) formed the observation group and received nursing interventions based on the risk anticipation and coping model. Both groups were followed until three months after discharge. Pain intensity, swallowing function, nutritional status, cervical spine function, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results:Pain scores were lower in the observation group than in the control group at 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours postoperatively ( P<0.05) . At 24 and 48 hours postoperatively, the observation group had significantly better scores on the Kubota Water Swallowing Test compared to the control group ( P<0.05) . On the day before discharge and three months post-discharge, body mass index, plasma albumin, total protein, Japanese Orthopaedic Association score, and quality of life score were all significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The risk anticipation and coping intervention model can effectively reduce postoperative pain and improve swallowing function in patients undergoing anterior decompression and bone grafting with internal fixation for cervical spondylosis. It also promotes the recovery of cervical spine function and enhances quality of life.

Objective:To compare the therapeutic efficacy and safety of local anesthesia and spinal anesthesia for the patients with varicocele(VC)who underwent microsurgical varicocelectomy(MV).Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the data of VC patients who underwent MV treatment at the Andrology Department of the Affiliated Ruikang Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine from May 2020 to March 2023.Cases with complete clinical data and follow-up evaluation were selected and divided into a control group(spinal anesthesia)and an observation group(local anesthesia)according to different anesthesia methods. The surgical time(including anesthesia time),visual analogue scale(VAS)score for pain, hospital stay, treatment cost, sperm concentration,for-ward motile sperm rate, and normal sperm morphology rate after three months of surgery,as well as postoperative complications and re-currence rate were compared between the two groups. Results:A total of 107 eligible cases were included, with 56 cases in the con-trol group and 51 cases in the observation group. There was no significant difference in the VAS score for pain during and after four hours of surgery,as well as postoperative complications, and recurrence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).There was an signif-icant increase in sperm concentration, forward motile sperm rate, and normal sperm morphology rate in both of two groups after three months of surgery(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference between the two groups three months after surgery(P>0.05).The surgical time and hospital stay were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).And the treatment cost in observa-tion group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both local anesthesia and lumbar anesthesia for MV treatment of VC have good efficacy and safety. However, patients treated with MV under local anesthesia for VC have obvious advanta-ges in terms of operation time(including anesthesia time),hospital stay, and treatment cost, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2025;46(1):49-54
Objective To investigate the effects of different hemostatic devices on the safety and comfort of compression hemostasis in the patients undergoing transradial coronary intervention(TRI).Methods From March to September 2023,900 patients undergoing TRI in the cardiology department of some hospital were divided into three groups according to the randomized numerical table method:STEPTY P hemostatic patch group(group A),spinning hemostatic group(group B)and balloon hemostatic group(group C),with 300 cases in each group. The three groups were compared in terms of the hemostatic effect, local complications and comfort of the puncture sites. Results The three groups had no statistical differences in hematoma grade and incidence rates of hematoma and hemorrhage(all P>0.05).There were significant differences in the occurrence of skin injury among the three groups(P=0.011),and group A had the skin injury incidence rate(1.0%)statistically lower than those of group B(4.3%)and C(5.3%)(P<0.05).There were obvious differences among the three groups in the incidence rates of pain on the operative side, palm swelling and limb numbness(P<0.05),and group A had the incidence rates significantly lower than those of group B and C(all P<0.05).Conclusion All the three compression hemostatic devices can achieve safe and effective post-TRI hemostasis. When compared with the other two devices,STEPTY P hemostatic patch is more effective in reducing the probability of related complications and improving patient comfort while effectively compressing the puncture site for hemostasis.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(1):49-54]
