Purpose To investigate the role of ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration cytology(US-FNAC)in the diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods Fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC)samples of 203 patients with breast cancer were selected and prepared by liquid-based cytology. The results of histopathology after neoadjuvant therapy were used as the gold standard to compare with the diagnostic results of FNAC samples, and then evaluated the diagnos-tic coincidence rate of FNAC samples. Results Of 203 axillary lymph node FNAC samples,111 cases were diagnosed as positive,38 cases were diagnosed as suspicious for positivity, and 54 cases were diagnosed as negative. The diag-nostic accuracy of FNAC was 85.2%,the sensitivity of FNAC was 98.0%,and the specificity of FNAC was 90.0%.Conclusion FNAC has high sensitivity and accuracy in the diagnosis of axillary lymph node metastasis.Sentinel lymph node biopsy is recommended for patients with negative FNAC but clinically and radiographically suspected lymph node metastasis.

Objective:To explore the association between the use of tetracyclines during pregnancy and congenital malformations, with the aim of providing evidence-based guidance for the rational use of antibiotics during pregnancy. Methods:Data from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) and the Canada Vigilance Adverse Reaction (CVAR) database from January 2015 to September 2024 were collected. Five methods including Tree-based scan statistic (TreeScan), proportional reporting ratio (PRR), reporting odds ratio (ROR), the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) comprehensive standard, and the Bayesian confidence propagation neural network (BCPNN) were used to detect signals of risk for congenital malformations in offspring following maternal use of tetracyclines during pregnancy. A signal that met the threshold criteria of all above 5 methods was considered as a risk signal. Based on population-based cohort of the drug exposures and adverse pregnancy outcomes (DEEP) data from January 2013 to December 2021 in Xiamen City, propensity score matching (PSM)-based Poisson regression was applied to evaluate the association between the first-trimester tetracyclines exposure and congenital malformations in offspring. Adjusted relative risk (a RR) and its 95% confidence interval ( CI) were calculated. Sensitivity analysis was conducted to validate the reliability of the results. Results:A total of 304 098 reports of adverse events during pregnancy were obtained from the FAERS and CVAR databases. Among them, 5 028 reports were related to tetracyclines, including 1 026 reports of congenital malformations in offspring, involving congenital malformations of musculoskeletal system, other digestive system, and other congenital malformations. Signal detection results suggested that tetracyclines may be a risk signal for above congenital malformations in offspring. The DEEP data included 411 936 pregnant women. After PSM, 240 pregnant women exposed to tetracyclines were included. The results showed no significant association between the first-trimester tetracyclines exposure and congenital malformations in offspring (a RR=0.75, 95% CI: 0.26-2.17), sensitivity analysis also showed no correlation. Conclusions:Data mining from the FAERS and CVAR databases suggests a potential association between tetracyclines use during pregnancy and congenital malformations in offspring. However, the DEEP data study shows no significant correlation.

Aim To explore the neuroprotective effects of salidroside on Parkinson's disease(PD)through modulation of inflammatory responses and the underly-ing mechanisms. Methods Mice were divided into five groups:healthy control group,1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)disease group,low-dose Rhodioloside intervention group,medium-dose salidroside intervention group, and high-dose salidro-side intervention group.MPTP-induced PD mouse model was established, and salidroside intervention was administered.Behavioral changes, inflammatory cyto-kine levels,autophagy-related protein expression, and neurons were observed through histological analysis and immunohistochemical staining. Results After MPTP treatment, mice exhibited significant behavioral chan-ges,increased pro-inflammatory cytokines, decreased anti-inflammatory cytokines, reduced autophagy-related proteins, and evident pyroptosis.Salidroside interven-tion alleviated these changes in a dose-dependent man-ner.Conclusions Salidroside exerts neuroprotective effects on PD by alleviating inflammatory responses and promoting autophagy, thereby protecting neurons.

Objective The study aimed to explore the mechanism of Mume Fructus and Rosa multiflora in the treatment of recurrent oral ulceration(ROU)through network pharmacology and animal experiments. Methods The chemical components of Mume Fructus and Rosa multiflora were filtrated by OB and DL,which were respectively searched from TCMSP and references. The targets were predicted by TCMSP and Swiss Target Prediction. The targets of ROU were searched from OMIM and GeneCards database.Cystoscape 3.2.1 software was used to construct the"components-targets"network and analysis gene ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway with Clue GO.The protein-protein interaction(PPI)network analysis was carried out on the common targets by String database and Cystoscape 3.2.1 software. Moreover, after constructing the rat model of ROU,the pathological changes of oral mucosa of rats were observed by HE staining, and the effects of Mume Fructus and Rosa multiflora on inflammatory factors and key targets were detected by ELISA and Western blot. Results 33 active ingredients were selected for treating ROU,among which quercetin, ursolic acid,β-sitosterol,stigmasterol,palmitic acid, apioline and kaempferol were the core components.Key targets such as STAT3,PIK3R1,PIK3CA,STAT1,JAK2 and IL-6 were screened.GO functional enrichment and KEGG enrichment analysis showed that the core targets mainly affected the process of response to organic substance, cellular response to chemical stimulus and cellular response to organic substance, involving NF-κB,JAK-STAT,IL-17 and other signaling pathways.Experimental results in rats showed that Mume Fructus and Rosa multiflora could significantly improve the pathological status of ulcer mucosal tissue, reduce the expression of IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α and IFN-γ,and reduce the expression of JAK2 and STAT1 in oral mucosa. Conclusion The anti-ROU effect of Mume Fructus and Rosa multiflora may be achieved by regulating the JAK2-STAT1 signaling pathway, reducing the levels of IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α and IFN-γ inflammatory factors.

Dental implantology has developed rapidly for over half a century, since pure titanium(99.7%)dental cylindrical threaded implants were exploited and osseointegration was introduced in 1960s by Prof.Br?nemark.The long term retention rates of 10 years or more are over 95%.However,the biological complications jeopardize the long term effects of dental implant treatment seriously. The prevalence of dental implant biological complications varies greatly among different reports resulting from the disparities on the defini-tions of dental implant biological complications. After analyzing and summarizing the major opinions proposed internationally in recent years, the consensus for the definition of dental implant biological complications has been reached.Generally the dental implant biologi-cal implications can be classified into early stage(before restoration)biological complications and late stage(after restoration)biological complications. The early stage biological complications include acute and chronic infections, pain, soft tissue deficiency, and osseointegration failure, etc. The late stage complications include peri-implant diseases(peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis),soft tissue deficiency around implant, implant loosening and dropping off, etc. The various risk factors related to different dental implant biological complications, the strategies of the prevention and treatment for the dental implant biological complications have been discussed comprehensively, and the consensus has been reached. It is aimed to advocate the dentist to pay more attention to the early prevention of the biological implant complications,to promote more researches on the implant biological complications, and to help elevate the level of dental implantology in our country.
