Childhood simple obesity has become a significant public health issue in China. Modern medicine primarily relies on lifestyle interventions and often suffers from poor long-term compliance, while pharmacological options are limited and associated with potential adverse effects. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a long history in the prevention and management of this condition, demonstrating eight distinct advantages, including systematic theoretical foundation, diversified therapeutic approaches, definite therapeutic efficacy, high safety profile, good patient compliance, comprehensive intervention strategies, emphasis on prevention, and stepwise treatment protocols. Additionally, TCM is characterized by six distinctive features: the use of natural medicinal substances, non-invasive external therapies, integration of medicinal dietetics, simple exercise regimens, precise syndrome differentiation, and diverse dosage forms. By combining internal and external treatments, TCM facilitates individualized regimen adjustment and holistic regulation, demonstrating remarkable effects in improving obesity-related metabolic indicators, regulating constitutional imbalance, and promoting healthy behaviors. However, challenges remain, such as inconsistent operational standards, insufficient high-quality clinical evidence, and a gap between basic research and clinical application. Future efforts should focus on accelerating the standardization of TCM diagnosis and treatment, conducting multicenter randomized controlled trials, and fostering interdisciplinary integration, so as to enhance the scientific validity and international recognition of TCM in the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity.

With the continuous deepening of the concept of precision diagnosis and treatment for lung cancer, how to achieve higher efficiency and accuracy in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment pathways in clinical practice has become an important issue that urgently needs to be overcome. The current clinical difficulty lies in the fact that despite continuous advancements in imaging and molecular diagnostic technologies, there are still limitations in manual efficiency and subjective experience when it comes to massive data analysis and multi-scale feature extraction. Artificial intelligence (AI), especially algorithm systems based on deep learning, is an innovative technology capable of deeply empowering medical big data. This method utilizes algorithms such as convolutional neural networks, combined with radiomics, pathomics, and multi-modal data fusion analysis, demonstrating immense potential in early precise detection and benign-malignant differentiation of pulmonary nodules, digital pathological subtype recognition and non-invasive prediction of driver genes, precise 3D surgical planning and automatic delineation of radiotherapy target volumes, as well as dynamic risk warning during follow-up. This innovative technology provides a brand-new solution for realizing intelligent and individualized lung cancer diagnosis and treatment models. This consensus, based on the latest evidence from evidence-based medicine and combined with the development trends in the AI field and real-world clinical needs, was ultimately formed by gathering the consensus opinions of multidisciplinary experts in radiology, pathology, thoracic surgery, and other fields. The main content covers the application specifications of AI in the three core scenarios of lung cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment, the technical standards for data collection and algorithm validation, as well as the ethical and regulatory challenges faced at the current stage. It aims to clarify the applicable boundaries of AI as a clinical auxiliary decision support tool, providing scientific guidance and standardized exploration directions for peers currently engaged in or planning to carry out AI-assisted clinical diagnosis, treatment, and translation of lung cancer.
3.A comparative Study on differential identification of Citrobacter freundii complex between molecular biological identification method and matrix assisted laser desorption ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the performance of commonly used molecular biological identification methods in differential identification of Citrobacter freundii complex(Cfc)and find out the differences in the mass spectra among the prevalent species of Cfc so as to facilitate the rapid and accurate identification.METHODS Totally 150 clinical strains were isolated from The First Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from 2015 to 2020 and were identified as Cfc by means of matrix assisted laser desorption ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF MS),the genome data were obtained by the next generation sequencing and were compared with reference genome of Citrobacter species from National Center of Biotechnology Information(NCBI)based on aver-age nucleotide identity(ANI),phylogenetic analyses of rec N gene,concatenated alignments of four housekeeping genes(fusA,pyrG,leuS and rpoB as well as gyrB,rplB,fusA and leuS),core genome single nucleotide poly-morphism(coreSNP)and whole genome(WG),digital DNA-DNA hybridization(dDDH)analysis,ribosomal multilocus sequence typing(rMLST)and typical(strain)genome service(TYGS)analysis.ANI was set as the'gold standard' for the identification of the Cfc strains,and the capabilities of the various methods were evaluated.A certain number of strains of Citrobacter freundii(Cfr),Citrobacter braakii(Cbr)and Citrobacter portucalen-sis(Cpo)were randomly selected to obtain and compare the mass spectra so as to find out the differences in the mass spectra.RESULTS The identification capability of the Cfc strains is limited based on the available database for MALDI-TOF MS,Cpo was prone to be misidentified as Cfr or Cbr.The mass spectrum between Cpo and Cfr ranged between 2600 and 2660 m/z,the mass spectrum between Cpo and Cbr ranged between 5200 and 5300 m/z,showing significant difference.The concatenated alignments of four housekeeping genes gyrB,rplB,fusA and leuS,CoreSNP and WG phylogenetic analysis had high accurate rate of identification.CONCLUSIONS The meth-ods have certain limitations in identification of Cfc.The joint application of ANI with the methods such as WG phylogenetic analysis,update of mass spectrum database and timely establishment of database can achieve the ac-curate identification of the species of Cfc.
4.Epidemiological characteristics of common viral respiratory infections before and after the COVID-19 pandemic in Huzhou,Zhejiang Province

Objective To investigate and compare the epidemiological characteristics of common respiratory viruses among influenza-like illness(ILI)and severe acute respiratory infection(SARI)cases in Huzhou,Zhejiang Province before and after the COVID-19 pandemic,so as to provide a basis for formulating and adjusting the prevention and control strategies for viral respiratory infectious diseases.Methods ILI and SARI cases at two influenza surveillance sentinel hospitals in Huzhou and had throat swab samples collected during Nov 2017 to Feb 2020(pre-COVID-19 pandemic period)and Dec 2022 to Apr 2024(post-COVID-19 mitigation phase)were selected as the participants.Seven common viral respiratory pathogens were tested,including influenza A virus(H1N1 and H3N2 subtypes),influenza B virus(Victoria lineage,FluB),respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),rhinovirus(HRV),adenovirus(ADV),and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2).The positive rates of respiratory pathogens before and after the COVID-19 pandemic were compared across different age groups and different time.Results A total of 7 948 ILI samples and 2 294 SARI samples were included.The overall positive rate of ILI samples increased from 33.6%to 47.1%,primarily due to the increase in influenza and COVID-19 infections;the overall positive rate of SARI samples decreased from 31.4%to 24.8%,mainly due to the reduction in HRV and ADV infections.During the post-COVID-19 mitigation phase,SARS-CoV-2(22.1%),H3N2(12.7%),and FluB(6.0%)were the primary pathogens in ILI samples,while RSV(7.1%),H3N2(5.3%),and HRV(4.5%)dominated in SARI samples.During the post-COVID-19 mitigation phase,the influenza virus circulation period was shortened.Before the COVID-19 pandemic,RSV was mainly detected in autumn and winter,while during the post-COVID-19 mitigation phase,out-of-season RSV epidemics were observed in spring and summer.Co-infection rate in ILI cases increased significantly in the post-COVID-19 mitigation phase,predominantly consisting of co-infections of COVID-19 and influenza A virus,while co-infection rate in SARI cases showed a decline.Conclusion We found important epidemiological changes in respiratory viruses in Huzhou during the post-COVID-19 mitigation phase compared to pre-COVID-19 period,including increased positive rates of influenza and COVID-19,and disruptions to the seasonal patterns of influenza and RSV.The prevention and control strategies should be adjusted in a timely manner based on the monitoring data.
5.Research progress on acute complications of hemodialysis in children

The morbidity and mortality of end-stage renal disease in children continue rising.Hemodialysis,as a bridge treatment before transplantation,has become a routine method for treating chronic kidney disease.The acute complications of hemodialysis are diverse and serious.Compared to adults,children have special physiological characteristics such as low body weight,imperfect circulatory compensation mechanism,and relatively narrow blood vessel diameter.Targeted prevention and individualized management of these complications represent critical current challenges,necessitating further exploration of more effective strategies.This review summarized recent advances on acute pediatric hemodialysis complications,such as dialysis disequilibrium syndrome,hypotension,dialyzer allergic reactions,hypertension,arrhythmias and acute hemolysis,to improve hemodialysis treatment outcomes of children.
6.Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for myocardial infarction in rats:effects of acute and chronic exercises

BACKGROUND:Stem cell transplantation has a promising therapeutic prospect in the treatment of myocardial infarction,but the efficacy of stem cell transplantation is limited by the low homing efficiency of transplanted cells to the heart and the low retention rate and survival rate in the heart.Exercise therapy is an important integral component of cardiac rehabilitation for patients with myocardial infarction.However,the role of exercise in stem cell therapy for myocardial infarction has not yet been clarified.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of exercise(including acute exercise and chronic exercise)on bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in rats with myocardial infarction.METHODS:Eighty female SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,model group,transplantation group or combination group with random number table method(n=20).Myocardial infarction model of rats in model group,transplantation group,or combination group was made by coronary artery ligation.24 hours after the model was made,the combination group underwent aerobic exercise for 8 weeks(chronic exercise,30 min/d,5 days per week),and within 5 minutes after the first exercise(acute exercise).SD rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells labeled with green fluorescent protein were injected into the tail vein of the transplantation group and the combination group.A part of animals from each group were taken 24 hours after the first exercise.The survival rate of stem cells transplanted into rat myocardium,sex-determining region of Y,protein expression of homing factors,oxidative stress,and inflammatory response parameters were measured.After 72 hours of the last exercise,the remaining rats were taken to detect cardiac structure and function,myocardial histological changes,and the number of Ki67+cells.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)After acute exercise:Compared with sham operation group,myocardial reactive oxygen species level,malondialdehyde content,tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-1β protein expression increased(P<0.05),and superoxide dismutase activity decreased(P<0.05)in model group.Compared with model group,reactive oxygen species,malondialdehyde content,tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-1β protein expression reduced(P<0.05),superoxidation dismutase activity,stromal cell-derived factor 1α,and CXC chemokine receptor 4 protein expression increased(P<0.05)in transplantation and combination groups.Compared with the transplantation group,reactive oxygen species,malondialdehyde content,tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-1β protein expression decreased(P<0.05),stem cell survival rate,sex-determining region of Y mRNA expression,superoxide dismutase activity,stromal cell-derived factor 1α,and CXC chemokine receptor 4 protein expression increased(P<0.05)in combination group.(2)After chronic exercise:Compared with sham operation group,cardiomyocyte cross-sectional area and collagen content increased(P<0.05),left ventricular ejection fraction and left ventricular short-axis shortening rate decreased(P<0.05)in model group.Compared with model group,cardiomyocyte cross-sectional area and collagen content decreased(P<0.05),Ki67+cells increased(P<0.05)in transplantation group.Compared with transplantation group,collagen content decreased(P<0.05),cardiomyocyte cross-sectional area,left ventricular ejection fraction,left ventricular short-axis shortening rate,and Ki67+cells increased(P<0.05)in the combination group.(3)Acute exercise improves the survival rate of exogenous stem cells by promoting stem cell homing and improving myocardial microenvironment,while chronic exercise can stimulate cardiomyocyte proliferation,inhibit cardiac remodeling,and enhance cardiac function after stem cell transplantation.Therefore,exercise can help to optimize the efficacy of stem cell transplantation after myocardial infarction in rats.

Objective To investigate the correlation between serum uric acid(SUA)levels and incident chronic kidney disease(CKD)in middle-aged and elderly Chinese population and gender differences.Methods Based on the longitudinal survey data of China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study from 2011 to 2015,the CKD-Epidemiology Collaboration cystatin C formula was used to estimate the glomerular filtration rate(eGFR),and 4 119 participants with normal renal function(eGFR≥60 mL·min-1·1.72 m-2)at baseline were included.Incident CKD was defined as eGFR<60 mL·min-1·1.72 m-2 at the follow-up in 2015.Logistic regression analysis was used to analysis the association of SUA levels at baseline and incident CKD among different genders.Restricted cubic spline analysis was used to analyze the dose-response relationship.Results After 4-year follow-up,127 participants developed incident CKD,including 57 males and 70 females.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that elevated SUA levels were independently associated with the risk of incident CKD(OR=1.532,P<0.001).For each 1 mg/dL increase in SUA,the risk of incident CKD increased by 33.6%in males(OR=1.336,P=0.012)and 77.5%in females(OR=1.755,P<0.001).Restricted cubic spline analysis showed a linear positive correlation between SUA levels and incident CKD in both males and females.Participants were divided into four groups according to SUA quartiles(Q1-Q4).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated a significant increase in the risk of incident CKD in Q3 group(3.75 mg/dL
