Early correction of childhood malocclusion is timely managing morphological, structural, and functional abnormalities at different dentomaxillofacial developmental stages. The selection of appropriate imaging examination and comprehensive radiological diagnosis and analysis play an important role in early correction of childhood malocclusion. This expert consensus is a collaborative effort by multidisciplinary experts in dentistry across the nation based on the current clinical evidence, aiming to provide general guidance on appropriate imaging examination selection, comprehensive and accurate imaging assessment for early orthodontic treatment patients.

Objective: To investigate the environmental contamination of norovirus in nurseries and primary/secondary schools, so as to provide a scientific basis for effective prevention and control measures. Methods: A total of 483 external environmental samples were collected from 34 cluster outbreaks of norovirus gastroenteritis in kindergartens and primary/secondary schools in Linhai City from 2021 to 2024. Pathogen detection was conducted using a rapid nucleic acid extraction kit and realtime fluorescence RT-PCR, and the results were analyzed using the χ2 test or Fishers exact test. Results: Among the collected external environmental samples, the total positive rate of surface contamination was 13.66%. The positive rates in kindergartens and primary/secondary schools were 12.20% and 15.82%, respectively. In kindergartens, the five surfaces with the highest detection rates were desks/chairs (23.33%), toilet stool troughs (20.69%), urinal troughs (12.00%), washbasins/sinks (11.11%), and toilet mops (9.38%). In primary/secondary schools, the top five were toilet stool troughs (38.30%), urinal troughs (23.53%), toilet door handles (13.04%), toilet mops (12.50%), and drinking cups (11.11%). The difference in positive detection rates among different external environments in primary/secondary schools was statistically significant (Fishers exact probability test, P<0.01). The positive detection rate in sanitary toilets was higher than that in classroom environments (χ2=17.38), while the positive detection rate in classroom environments of kindergartens was higher than that in primary/secondary schools (χ2=5.42)(P<0.05). Conclusions Norovirus exhibits a high contamination rate in nurseries and schools, particularly in restroom areas. Strengthening sanitation and disinfection in highrisk environments, and improving hygiene awareness among children and staff, are essential for the effective prevent and control of norovirus.

Objective:To develop and design a during-treatment records auto-review program to comply the quality assurance(QA)requirement of radiotherapy chart auditing,and thereby improve the review efficiency and accuracy.Methods:Based on the items the guideline required,the Aria Oncology Information System database backup files was analyzed by Java,Vue,and etc.languages and the corresponding review logic was formulated.A total of 530 treatment records generated at Shanghai Concord Cancer Center from January to March 2024(10 weeks)were auto-reviewed and compared with the manual results for evaluating the accuracy and efficiency of the program.Results:The auto-review program was running smoothly.Overall with the above data,the sensitivity,specificity,accuracy and the error-miss rate were 73.4%,14.3%,87.7%and 12.3%respectively.For sub-set items,the source-skin distance(SSD)error detecting rate was 100%,the wrong session reporting was 100%correlated with the plans switching and the wrong fraction reporting was 100%related to plan revision.For the other items,auto and manual reviews gave out the same accuracy.Conclusion:The none-error results from the program are all true,so the manual rechecking could limit to those auto-review error records,which can reduce the workload by 73.4%,therefore improve the effectiveness and accuracy of the radiotherapy data review.

Background: The global rise in visual impairment, driven by population aging, the increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related chronic diseases, and environmental factors, has made it a critical public health concern, highlighting the urgent need for effective preventive strategies and eye health maintenance. Cuscutae Semen (CS), a traditional Chinese herbal medicine long regarded for its vision-enhancing properties, has been widely used to support ocular health. However, its underlying molecular mechanisms and bioactive constituents remain poorly understood, limiting its modernization and broader clinical application. Objective: This study aims to investigate the restorative effects of CS on visual impairment, elucidate its underlying mechanisms, and identify potential active components. Methods: A zebrafish model of visual impairment was established using mepanipyrim to simulate retinal structural damage and visual dysfunction. The therapeutic effects of CS were systematically evaluated through behavioral analyses and histomorphological observations. To elucidate the underlying mechanisms, an integrated approach was employed, combining transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq), reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction validation, and immunofluorescence staining to identify critical genes and pathways involved. Furthermore, macroporous resin column chromatography was employed for the fractionation and screening of potential active components. Results: CS treatment significantly alleviated mepanipyrim-induced ocular abnormalities in zebrafish, restoring approximately 82% of the observed morphological defects. Behavioral assessments revealed that CS-treated zebrafish exhibited markedly increased swimming speed and distance, indicating enhanced visual light sensitivity. Histopathological analysis demonstrated that CS effectively repaired the structure of retinal cell layers. RNA-seq revealed that CS broadly reversed mepanipyrim-induced gene expression disturbances, suggesting a restorative effect on transcriptomic homeostasis. Gene Ontology enrichment analysis identified the phototransduction pathway as a key mediator of CS’s therapeutic effects. This was further supported by reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction validation of critical genes and immunofluorescence staining, which confirmed the restored expression of Pde6a and Gnat2, key proteins involved in photic signal transmission. Active component screening indicated that high-polar constituents, including chlorogenic acid, may constitute one of the major bioactive fractions responsible for the observed therapeutic effects. Conclusion: This study provides evidence of the vision-protective effects of CS in a zebrafish model, demonstrating that its therapeutic mechanism involves modulation of the phototransduction pathway. Chlorogenic acid was identified as one of the key bioactive constituents contributing to this effect. These findings not only provide scientific validation for the traditional use of CS in ocular protection but also present promising therapeutic prospects for the prevention and treatment of visual impairment.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is one of the major complications of sepsis.Aurantio-obtusin (AO) is an anthraquinone compound with antioxidant and antiinflammatory activities. This study was developed to concentrate on the role and mechanism of AO in sepsis-induced AKI. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated human renal proximal tubular epithelial cells (HK-2) and BALB/c mice receiving cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) surgery were used to establish in vitro cell model and in vivo mouse model. HK-2 cell viability was measured using MTT assays. Histological alterations of mouse renal tissues were analyzed via hematoxylin and eosin staining.Renal function of mice was assessed by measuring the levels of serum creatinine (SCr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN). The concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines in HK-2 cells and serum samples of mice were detected using corresponding ELISA kits. Protein levels of factors associated with nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) pathway were measured in HK-2 cells and renal tissues by Western blotting. AO exerted no cytotoxic effect on HK-2 cells and AO dose-dependently rescued LPS-induced decrease in HK-2 cell viability. The concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines were increased in response to LPS or CLP treatment, and the alterations were reversed by AO treatment. For in vivo experiments, AO markedly ameliorated renal injury and reduced high levels of SCr and BUN in mice underwent CLP operation. In addition, AO administration inhibited the activation of NF-κB signaling pathway in vitro and in vivo. In conclusion, AO alleviates septic AKI by suppressing inflammatory responses through inhibiting the NF-κB pathway.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of workshop-based incontinence associated dermatitis (IAD) training course for geriatric nurse specialists, and to provide references and evidence for the application of workshop teaching model in specialized nursing training.Methods:The convenience sampling method was used to select 40 participants in the 9th Chongqing Geriatric Nurse Specialist Training Program in May 2021 as the intervention group, and IAD training was conducted using the workshop method. The 42 participants in the 8th Chongqing Geriatric Nurse Specialist Training Program in May 2020 were selected as the control group, who received IAD training through traditional teaching methods. After the training, the achievement of teaching objectives and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups using questionnaire survey, and IAD nursing knowledge and attitudes were compared using scales. SPSS 27.0 was used for the t-test and chi-square test. Results:The questionnaire survey showed that the intervention group achieved higher teaching objectives in all dimensions compared to the control group ( P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the intervention group had higher scores in teaching satisfaction regarding teaching format, interest in learning, practical skills, theoretical understanding, integration of theory and practice, and problem-solving abilities ( P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the intervention group demonstrated significantly higher scores in IAD nursing knowledge [(11.32±1.56) vs. (9.02±2.26), P<0.05] and attitudes [(37.63±3.54) vs. (32.81±2.97), P<0.05]. Conclusions:The workshop training has been highly recognized by the trainees, contributing to improved implementation effectiveness of teaching, enhancing the scores of IAD nursing knowledge and attitudes. This approach offers a new perspective for training with a practical focus in the specialized nursing field.

Using China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, and PubMed database, literature search was conducted with the keywords ^“pregnancy^” and ^“monkeypox^”, and 27 related research articles were selected for analysis. Through a comprehensive review of the related literature, we aim to improve our knowledge of this viral disease, better our prevention, treatment and responses to future monkeypox outbreaks in China, so as to better protect the safety of mothers and infants. Maternal monkeypox can be prevented and controlled, if active and effective measures are taken in time. Drawing on the experience and lessons from monkeypox outbreaks at home and abroad, it is suggested that hospitals and public health agencies at all levels should raise awareness, and establish an effective emergency preparedness system for the prevention and control of potential future outbreaks.

Objective To investigate the current situation of fertility intention of nurses of childbearing age in Chongqing,and to explore the related factors affecting their fertility intention.Methods A total of 509 in-service nurses(39 males and 470 females)from 12 hospitals in Chongqing were selected as the research ob-jects,and a questionnaire survey was conducted on their fertility intention.Univariate analysis and logistic re-gression analysis were performed on the relevant variables.Results Only nine people(1.77％)had the will-ingness to have a third child.Among them,the single influencing factors of the willingness to have a third child were parents living together(P=0.043),hospital category(P=0.013),and gender(P=0.025).The respondents who clearly stated that they did not want to have three children believed that fertility pressure came from children's education investment,children's medical expenses,elderly medical expenses and insur-ance investment,in 65.80％of the families,the investment in children's education accounts for ≥10％of the annual family income.The log-binomial regression analysis of the fertility behavior of the second child showed that the fertility behavior of the second child of the intermediate title was 2.41 times that of the primary title(P＜0.01),the non-parental living was 0.41 times that of the parents living together(P＜0.01),the contract system was 0.40 times that of the formal establishment(P＜0.01),and the annual household income of＞500 000 yuan was 6.09 times that of 0 to 100 000 yuan(P＜0.05).Conclusion The fertility intention of the three-child childbearing age group of licensed nurses in Chongqing is weak,and economic factors and educa-tional pressure are the main factors affecting the fertility intention.

Improving exercise tolerance is indisputably beneficial for long-term survival in patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Although previous studies suggested that Yangxinshi tablets effectively improve exercise tolerance in patients with coronary heart disease, the evidence is limited due to the lack of high-quality randomized trials. The Effects of Yangxinshi Tablets on Exercise Tolerance Compared with Trimetazidine in Patients after PCI (HEARTRIP) trial is a multicenter, double-blind, double-dummy, active drug-controlled, randomized trial designed to test if the effects of Yangxinshi tablets on exercise tolerance are non-inferior to those of trimetazidine in patients undergoing PCI. A total of 668 patients who have undergone PCI for the first time and completed a cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) will be enrolled and randomly assigned, in a 1:1 ratio, to receive Yangxinshi tablets (3 tablets, 3 times/d) plus trimetazidine-placebo or trimetazidine (20 mg, 3 times/d) plus Yangxinshi-placebo for 24 weeks. The primary endpoint is metabolic equivalent of tasks (METs) measured by CPET at 24 weeks after randomization. The secondary endpoints include comprehensive CPET indicators, incidence of major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events, and depression (Patient Health Questionnaire-9), anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7), and quality of life (Seattle Angina Questionnaire) scores. This study will appraise current clinical evidence on the beneficial effect of Yangxinshi tablets on improving exercise tolerance after PCI and may substantiate their use as an effective pharmacological option for cardiac rehabilitation patients. The HEARTRIP study protocol received approval from the ethics committee of the General Hospital of Northern Theater Command (Shenyang, China). The procedures set out in this protocol are in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and the Good Clinical Practice guidelines. The results will be published following the guidelines of the CONSORT statement in a peer-reviewed scientific journal (Trial registration number: NCT03809273).
