Objective To explore the use of indirect methods to establish a reference interval for serum car-bohydrate antigen 242(CA242)in adults in Shanghai and to validate it.Methods A total of 51 897 cases of CA242 testing data from the laboratory information management system of the Department of Clinical Labo-ratory at the hospital from August 2022 to July 2023 were collected. After data cleaning and normal transfor-mation,the Turkey method was used to remove outliers, and 19 653 cases of data were finally included in the study. Then, the Hoffmann method was used to establish the P95 reference interval for serum CA242.The study selected 691 apparently healthy individuals from January to March 2024 to validate the self built refer-ence interval for CA242.The physical examination population with the reference interval recommended by the reagent instructions≤CA242 value

Objective To detect the expression level of serum LncRNA P53RRA in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and explore its clinical application value in the diagnosis of HCC.Methods Ninety-three patients with primary HCC visited Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University from November 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the HCC group and 88 healthy individuals undergone physical examination as the control group.Their serum samples were collected and the expression levels of serum LncRNA P53RRA were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR(qRT-PCR).The correlations of serum P53RRA levels with clinicopathological parameters and clinical biochemical indicators such as alanine aminotransferase(ALT),glutamate amin-otransferase(AST),gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT),and alkaline phosphatase(ALP)in HCC patients were analyzed. The diagnostic value of serum P53RRA for HCC was evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve. Results The expres-sion levels of serum P53RRA in HCC patients(2.15±0.22)were significantly lower than that in healthy controls(3.54±0.33),and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.489,P<0.05).The analysis of clinicopathological parameters showed that the expres-sion levels of serum P53RRA in HCC patients were correlated with tumor staging(χ2=9.590,P<0.05),α-fetoprotein(AFP,χ2=5.732,P<0.05),and GGT(χ2=5.732,P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the ROC curve(AUCROC)of ser-um P53RRA in the diagnosis of HCC was 0.750(95%CI:0.679-0.821),with a sensitivity of 65.6%and specificity of 64.8%.The AUCROC,sensitivity and specificity of P53RRA combined with AFP and GGT in the diagnosis of HCC were 0.911(95%CI:0.867-0.953),88.2%and 70.5%,respectively,which were higher than those of single indicator. Conclusion LncRNA P53RRA is expec-ted to serve as a novel non-invasive biomarker, effectively assisting in the clinical diagnosis of HCC.

The observation of eye expression is an important aspect of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis.Traditional Chinese medicine proposes the original proposition that"the eyes are the messenger of the heart",suggesting that eye expression reflects the external manifestation of mental consciousness and cognitive activities.Research has shown that eye expression can directly reflect brain function and cognitive abilities, serving as a biological marker for pathological changes in brain structure and playing an important role in early diagnosis of mental disorders. In recent years, scholars have paid increasing attention to eye tracking technology as an objective tool for measuring eye expression. This paper outlines the theoretical basis of using traditional Chinese medicine's observation of eye expression for diagnosing mental disorders, and analyzes the current application status of eye tracking technology in diagnosing conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, and autism spectrum disorder. It is hoped that this review will provide insights for future research on applying objective methods to traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis through observing eye expressions.

Chinese Journal of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases 2023;07(3):292-296
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an idiopathic inflammatory disease affecting the gastrointestinal tract. Gut microbiota play an important role in keeping the intestinal mucosal barrier, regulating body metabolism and maintaining immune homeostasis. The potential role of the microbiome in the development, progression, and treatment of IBD has aroused more attention. Therefore, a better understanding of the role of gut microbiota in IBD may provide better insights for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis, which is important for understanding the pathogenesis. In this review, research of gut microbiota in IBD are summarized.

Objective:To investigate the current practice environment of male nurses in Qinghai province, and understand the professional environment and turnover intention of male nurses, provide ideas and theoretical basis for continuous improvement of the working environment of male nurses in hospitals. Methods:From September to October 2020, the practice environment and turnover intention of male nurses in Qinghai Province were investigated by using the method of convenience sampling and using the general data questionnaire, the Nurse Practice Environment Assessment Scale and the turnover intention table. Results:A total of 155 registered male nurses in Qinghai Province participated in this survey, and the overall evaluation score of the practicing environment of nurses in Qinghai Province was (74.38±22.63) points, among which the highest score was that nurses could write nursing records in time (85.24±20.99) points, and the lowest score was that nurses had the opportunity to participate in the internal management of the hospital (55.03±30.55) points. The total score of resignation intention was (14.34±4.35) points. Conclusion:The overall evaluation of the practicing environment of male nurses in Qinghai Province is fair, and their turnover intention is high. Nursing managers should attach importance to the cultivation of male nurses' feelings towards hospitals and professions, so as to reduce their turnover intention and stabilize the nursing team of male nurses.

Peking Union Medical College Hospital, as one of the most stressful medical institutions in China, is facing the problem of emergency department overcrowding. In order to effectively alleviate the emergency overcrowding, improve the medical quality and patients′ medical experience, the hospital firmly grasped the two incremental links of " throughput" and " output" factors, established a multidisciplinary and multi-department cooperation team, constructed a close medical alliance cooperation mode, and innovated and explored a harmonious emergency overcrowding relief mode with the goal of unblocking the " exit" of patients. The practice showed that the comprehensive measures could effectively alleviate the problem of emergency overcrowding, and improve the medical environment and medical quality.
