Objective To introduce the modeling method of pendulum-like modified rat abdominal heart heterotopic transplantation model and evaluate the quality of the model. Methods An operator without transplantation experience performed 15 consecutive models, recorded the time of each step, changes in body weight and modified Stanford scores, and calculated the surgical success rate, postoperative 1-week survival rate and technical success rate. Ultrasound examinations was performed in 1 week postoperatively. Results The times for donor heart acquisition, donor heart processing, recipient preparation and transplantation anastomosis were (14.3±1.4) min, (3.5±0.6) min, (13.6±2.1) min and (38.3±5.2) min respectively. The surgical success rate was 87% (13/15), and the survival rate 1 week after operative was 100% (13/13). The improved Stanford score indicated a technical success rate of 92% (12/13), and the postoperative 1-week ultrasound examination showed that grafts with Stanford scores ≥3 had detectable pulsation and blood flow signals. Conclusions The pendulum-like modified rat abdominal heart heterotopic transplantation improved model further optimizes the operational steps with a high success rate and stable quality, may be chosen as a modeling option for basic research in heart transplantation in the future.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder （ADHD）， also known as hyperactivity disorder in children， is a behavioral disorder commonly found in children， particularly preschool-aged children. This disorder can lead to cognitive impairment， learning difficulties， conduct disorders， and other mental health issues， severely impacting the quality of life for affected children. Moreover， the global prevalence of ADHD continues to rise. Establishing an animal model that closely aligns with clinical symptoms and the pathogenesis of the disease is crucial for advancing research on the prevention and treatment of ADHD. In recent years， research on animal models of ADHD has rapidly developed. Researchers have developed nearly 20 animal models from genetic and environmental perspectives. However， most of these models are still in the exploratory stage， and there is insufficient research to thoroughly investigate their pathogenesis， core characteristics， and drug effects. The spontaneously hypertensive rat （SHR） is currently the most commonly used animal model for ADHD because of its excellent face validity and developmental stage that better corresponds to childhood. In addition， dopamine transporter （DAT） knockout mice， LPHN3 knockout rats， and neonatal rat hypoxia models have also shown good face validity. Some researchers have injected SHRs with daily doses of levothyroxine sodium， which not only induces typical ADHD symptoms in the rats but also exhibits signs of Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity， which successfully simulates the Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity syndrome type of ADHD， providing a new approach for constructing and evaluating ADHD animal models that combine both traditional Chinese and western medicine. This article reviewed ADHD animal models reported in China and abroad over the past decade， summarized rodent models of ADHD into three major categories： genetic models， chemically induced models， and environmentally induced models， and analyzed each category to provide a reference for selecting and exploring appropriate models for experimental ADHD research.

Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a common skeletal malformation in children and the prominent cause of hip osteoarthritis and lower limb disability. The therapeutic difficulty and effect of DDH are closely related to an early and proper diagnosis. Hip ultrasonography and anteroposterior pelvic radiography are preferred depending on the presence of the secondary ossification center of the femoral head. Conventional diagnostic methods primarily relied on manual measurements and empirical judgments by clinicians, which were laborious and generally lacked reliability. The effective integration of medical imaging and artificial intelligence algorithms is expected to improve the diagnosis of pediatric DDH and enhance the efficiency of clinical diagnosis and treatment. Segmentation algorithms based on the extraction of local geometric features, 3D map search-based segmentation algorithms, and deep learning networks were utilized to assist in analyzing hip ultrasound images, calculating key dysplasia indicators, and diagnosing DDH in infants under 4-6 months. Computer-aided techniques, such as bone edge detection and template matching algorithms, deep transfer learning algorithms, and local-global feature mining convolutional neural networks were used to automatically identify bony landmarks on pelvic radiographs for measuring hip parameters and evaluating DDH in children over 4-6 months. However, there were several crucial problems in the clinical application of the artificial intelligence model for the auxiliary diagnosis of DDH due to technical limitations and insufficient understanding of researchers. This paper aims to review the progress of application in the medical artificial intelligence technology for the clinical auxiliary diagnosis of DDH. The author also provides references for future research for truly intelligent diagnostic tools.

BACKGROUNDHemifacial spasm (HFS) is a facial nerve disorder characterized by episodic involuntary ipsilateral facial muscle contraction. Information on Chinese patients with HFS has not been well-characterized. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical feature and the treatment status of HFS across China.

METHODSA cross-sectional study including 1003 primary HFS patients had been carried out in 15 movement disorder clinics in China in 2012. The investigated information was acquired from questionnaires and medical records including demographic data, site of onset, aggravating and relieving factors, treatments prior to the investigation, etc.

RESULTSIn this study, the ratio of male to female was 1.0:1.8, the mean age at onset was (46.6 ± 11.5) years. About 1.0% patients were bilaterally affected. The most often site of initial onset was the orbicularis oculi muscle. The most often affected sites were orbicularis oculi, zygomatic, and orbicularis oris muscles. Stress/anxiety and relaxation were most often aggravating and relieving factors, respectively; 2.3% patients had family history, 28.4% cases were combined with hypertension, and 1.4% patients were with trigeminal neuralgia. Botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) injection was the most commonly used treatment, followed by acupuncture and oral medication. BTX-A maintained the highest repeat treatment ratio (68.7%), while 98.4% patients gave up acupuncture. The mean latency of BTX-A effect was (5.0 ± 4.7) days, the mean total duration of the effect was (19.5 ± 11.7) weeks, and 95.9% patients developed improvements no worse than moderate in both severity and function. The most common side effect was droopy mouth.

CONCLUSIONSThe onset age of HFS in China is earlier than that in western countries. The most often used two treatments are BTX-A injection and acupuncture, while the latter kept the poor repeat treatment ratio because of dissatisfactory therapeutic effect.

Objective:To assesss the effectiveness of dapoxetine in the treatment of premature ejaculation.Methods:Both English and Chinese studies involving men with prematrue ejaculation who were treated with dapoxetine from the Cochrane Library,MEDLINE,EMBASE and CNKI,CBM,VIP between 1979 and 2009.were included in the randomized controlled trials(RCTs) and the data processed by RevMan.Results:Five RCTs involving 4433 patients were included in the Meta analysis,of which 3 were of grade A and 2 were of grade B according to the quality evaluation of methodology.Intravaginal ejaculatory latency time(IELT),patient-reported global impression of change(PGI),satisfaction with sexual intercourse(SWSI),perceived control over ejaculation(PCOE),personal distress related to ejaculation(PDRE) were used for assessment.Meta analysis based on included studies of patients having been treated with dapoxetine for 9-24 weeks showed that:(1) the difference of the patients' IELT between treatment group and control group was statistically significan [P
