Objective To analyze the unexamined items and situations in occupational health examinations of radiation workers, and provide a reference for the revision of occupational health examination standards for radiation workers. Methods A total of 29 630 radiation workers who underwent occupational health examinations at The Third People’s Hospital of Henan Province in 2023 were selected, and the non-examination rates were statistically analyzed according to occupation, gender, and age. Results The overall non-examination rate of non-medical radiation workers was significantly lower than that of the medical radiation workers (P<0.05). The non-examination rate of chest X-rays among medical radiation workers was significantly higher than that of non-medical radiation workers (P<0.05), while no significant differences were found in other items (P>0.05). Gender-stratified analysis showed that the non-examination rate of routine urine tests was higher in females than in males in both medical and non-medical radiation workers (P<0.05). Age-stratified analysis revealed no significant differences in non-examination rates among different age groups in non-medical radiation workers (P>0.05), whereas the chest X-ray non-examination rate was relatively high in medical radiation workers under 30 years old (P<0.05). Conclusion Significant differences were observed in the non-examination rates of occupational health examinations among radiation workers based on occupation, gender, and age. The overall non-examination rate was relatively low in non-medical radiation workers.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Huoxue Jiedu Prescription in the treatment of polycythemia vera with heat toxicity and blood stasis syndrome.Methods Totally 155 patients of polycythemia vera with heat toxicity and blood stasis syndrome from 5 hospitals including Langfang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from October 2022 to March 2024 were collected.Patients were divided into an observation group(79 cases)and control group(76 cases)using a random number table method.Both groups received conventional Western medicine treatment.The observation group was given Huoxue Jiedu Prescription,one dosage per day,taken orally twice a day;both groups received one treatment course of one month,and three treatment courses were observed.The efficacy of Western medicine and TCM syndromes was observed,and the total symptom assessment scale of myeloproliferative neoplasms(MPN-10)scores,hematological indicators,coagulation function before and after treatment were compared.The safety indicators of the two groups were monitored.Results The control group and observation group lost 2 and 4 cases,respectively.The total effective rate of Western medicine in the observation group was 90.67%(68/75),while the control group was 67.57%(50/74),with statistical significance(P<0.01).The total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the observation group was 94.67%(71/75),while in the control group was 71.62%(53/74),with statistical significance(P<0.01).Compared with before treatment,the total score of MPN-10 in both groups significantly decreased(P<0.05);after treatment,the total score of MPN-10 in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment,both groups showed significant reductions in hemoglobin,white blood cell count,hematocrit and platelet count after treatment(P<0.05);after treatment,the above hematological indicators in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment,the levels of D-dimer and fibrinogen in both groups significantly decreased after treatment,and the activated partial thromboplastin time and prothrombin time were significantly shortened(P<0.05);after treatment,the observation group showed better improvement in the coagulation function indicators compared to the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant adverse reactions in the two groups.Conclusion Huoxue Jiedu Prescription can improve clinical efficacy of polycythemia vera with heat toxicity and blood stasis syndrome,improve hematological indexes,reduce coagulation indexes,and has good safety.

Objective To explore the effect of adjuvant hydrogen inhalation therapy(AHIT)on postoperative neurological recovery in elderly patients with cerebral hemorrhage.Methods A pro-spective study was conducted on 100 patients with cerebral hemorrhage who underwent surgical treatment in our department between January 2021 and February 2023.They were randomly divid-ed into an observation group(AHIT)and a control group(conventional treatment),with 50 pa-tients in each group.Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)score,NIHSS score,short from 36-item question-naire(SF-36)score,as well as levels of serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1)and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP),and incidence of compli-cations were compared between the two groups.Results The observation group obtained signifi-cantly higher GCS score and SF-36 scores at 4 and 8 weeks after treatment,and lower NIHSS score when compared with the control group(P＜0.01).At 8 weeks after treatment,the serum BDNF,IGF-1 and CGRP levels were notably higher in the observation group than the control group(P＜0.01).There was no statistical difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(6.00％vs 10.00％,P＞0.05).Conclusion AHIT can significantly improve the neuro-logical recovery and quality of life of patients with cerebral hemorrhage,as well as elevate the lev-els of serum neurofunctional markers.

Objective:To construct three photosensitive fusion proteins between protein G C3 domain and Avitag for site-spe-cific biotinylation of goat IgG.Methods:DNA sequences of protein G C3 domain with amber codon mutation and C-terminal containing 1,2,3 Avitag were obtained by chemical synthesis,respectively,and sub-cloned into pTXB1 plasmid to construct three fusion pro-tein expression vectors.Three plasmids and pEVOL-pBpF plasmid were co-transformed into competent bacterium E.coli BL21,respec-tively.Target fusion proteins CBpa-Avitag,CBpa-(Avitag)2 and CBpa-(Avitag)3 were prepared using genetic codon extension technology,and were purified by His Trap Chelating HP column,then biotinylated by Avitag/BirA system.Photo-conjugation efficiency,crosslink site and antigen-binding activity of photo-conjugates were investigated by SDS-PAGE,control experiment,and competitive ELISA.Results:Three expression vectors were successfully constructed,and three designed photoactivatable fusion proteins CBpa-Avitag,CBpa-(Avitag)2 and CBpa-(Avitag)3 were successfully expressed with molecular weights consistent with their theoretical values.Heavy-chain conjugation efficiencies of biotinylated fusion protein with goat IgG were 85%with Fc-specific conjugation,and conjugates maintained its antigen-binding activity after photo-conjugation.Conclusion:CBpa-Avitag,CBpa-(Avitag)2 and CBpa-(Avitag)3 fusion proteins are successfully prepared,and mediates by those photosensitive fusion proteins,biotins molecules are conjugated to Fc fragment of goat IgG,results site-specific biotinylation of goat IgG.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of myopia progression control over a one-year period for defocus in-corporated multiple segments lenses(DIMS),peripheral defocus modifying(PDM)lenes and single vision spectacle lenses(SVL)in a real-world cohort.Methods A total of 188 cases in the DIMS group,116 cases in the PDM group,and 373 ca-ses in the SVL group,all diagnosed with refractive errors and aged 6-16 years,were enrolled in Department of Ophthal-mology,Fujian Provincial Hospital from July 2019 to June 2022.A 1∶1 propensity score matching(PSM)of covariates was used to balance factors between the groups.The changes in spherical equivalent(SE)and axial length(AL)in each patient before and 1 year after wearing glasses were compared without other interventions.The myopia control effects of different groups were compared through the changes in SE and AL.Results After PSM,92 cases were matched between DIMS group and PDM group,163 cases were matched between DIMS group and SVL group,and 99 cases were matched between PDM group and SVL group.The changes in SE and AL in the DIMS group were less than those in the PDM and SVL groups,with statistically significant differences(all P＜0.05).However,there were no statistically significant differences in the changes in SE and AL between the PDM and SVL groups(all P＞0.05).In the age subgroup analysis,in the younger age group(6～＜13)and the older age group(13～16)the changes in SE and AL in the DIMS group were less than those in the PDM group and SVL group,with statistically significant differences(all P＜0.05).In the younger age group,the changes in SE and AL in the PDM group were less than those in the SVL group,with statistically significant differences(all P＜0.05);while in older age group,there were no statistically significant differences in the changes in SE and AL between the PDM and SVL groups(all P＞0.05).Conclusion The myopia control efficacy of DIMS is superior to that of PDM and SVL.In younger children,the myopia control efficacy of PDM is superior to that of SVL.

Objective:To investigate the current application of blood purification in the treatment of acute poisoning within Jiangsu Province and to evaluate the impact of extracorporeal blood purification on the clinical outcomes of critically poisoned patients.Methods:This multicenter, cross-sectional real-world observational study followed patients presenting with poisoning to the emergency departments of nine hospitals in Jiangsu Province between June 2015 and May 2019. Data were collected on demographic characteristics, vital signs within the first hour of emergency presentation, treatment modalities, length of hospital stay, and survival outcomes. Clinical data from patients who underwent extracorporeal blood purification were compared with those who did not, using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test and Chi-square test.Results:A total of 4 178 poisoning cases were included between June 2015 and May 2019. Among them, 21.7% (908/4 178) received blood purification therapy, while 78.3% (3 270/4 178) did not. Hemoperfusion (90.4%) was the most frequently employed method, followed by continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) (4.4%). In combined blood purification modalities, 4.8% underwent hemoperfusion combined with CRRT, 0.1% received hemoperfusion with plasma exchange, and another 0.1% underwent hemoperfusion combined with both CRRT and plasma exchange. Among patients who underwent blood purification, pesticide poisoning was the most prevalent (76.3%), with the most common toxic agents being paraquat (23.7%), dichlorvos (8.7%), methamidophos (5.2%), omethoate (4.0%), and glyphosate (3.7%). Compared to the non-blood purification group, patients in the blood purification group were more likely to present within the first hour with a low Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score (3-8) (22.6% vs. 9.7%, P <0.05), low mean arterial pressure (8.0% vs. 3.2%, P <0.05), longer hospital stays [5(3,9) days vs. 2(1,4) days, P <0.05] and a higher in-hospital mortality rate (21.1% vs. 5.3%, P <0.05). Follow-up via telephone 28 days after discharge revealed a survival rate of 78.9%, with a mortality rate of 21.1% in the blood purification group. Conclusions:Hemoperfusion is the most commonly utilized blood purification technique for treating poisoning in Jiangsu Province, with pesticides being the primary toxic agents treated. Although the mortality rate is higher in the blood purification group, the intervention may still contribute to improved patient outcomes.

Objective:To explore the feasibility of the new auxiliary analysis software in chromosomal aberration analysis of radiation workers during occupational health examinations.Methods:Health examination data of 2 469 radiation workers in Henan province were collected. Manual analysis of chromosomal aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes was conducted using the new auxiliary software and the Ikaros software. Then, the chromosomal aberrations detected using both software tools were compared.Results:The new auxiliary software yielded a lower chromosomal aberration rate among radiation workers compared with the Ikaros software [(0.314 ± 0.014)% vs. (0.391 ± 0.022)%, χ2 = 9.24, P = 0.002]. Notably, the new auxiliary software yielded a significantly lower rate of acentric fragments (ace) [(0.136 ± 0.009)% vs. (0.209 ± 0.020)%, χ2= 17.76, P < 0.001]. However, no statistically significant differences were observed between the result of the two software tools in the rates of dicentrics plus rings (dic + r) and translocations ( P > 0.05). According to the GBZ/T 248-2014 standard, the differences in abnormality rates of chromosomal aberrations between the two groups had no statistically significance ( P > 0.05), with both groups showing an abnormality rate of 0 for ace. Furthermore, the new auxiliary software could double the detection efficiency. Among pre-service radiation workers of various occupations, the differences in the chromosomal aberrations detected using the two software tools exhibited statistical significance ( χ2 = 10.26, P = 0.001). In contrast, the differences in the chromosomal aberrations among in-service and post-service radiation workers had no statistically different significance ( P>0.05). The Poisson regression analysis result demonstrated that the rate of chromosomal aberrations excluding ace was affected by age ( z = 2.73, P = 0.006), while gender, analysis method, service status, and occupation had no impact. Conclusions:The two software tools yielded largely consistent result in detecting chromosomal aberrations induced by exposure to ionizing radiation. Notably, the new auxiliary software can significantly improve detection efficiency, indicating the feasibility of applying it to chromosomal aberration analysis among radiation workers.

Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients' fear of complications,and to provide a reference for formulating targeted intervention measures.Methods From April to November 2024,370 patients with T2DM in 2 tertiary general hospitals in Daqing City were selected by convenience sampling method.General data questionnaire,Fear of Complications Questionnaire,Self-Perceived Burden Scale,Psychological Capital Questionnaire,Mishel Uncertainty in Illness Scale and Family Apgar Index Questionnaire were used for investigation.Univariate analysis and binary Logistic regression were performed to analyze the influencing factors.Results A total of 364 valid questionnaires were collected,with an effective recovery rate of 98.38％.The score of Fear of Complications Questionnaire was(23.47±7.47),and the incidence of fear of complications was 22.25％.Logistic regression analysis showed that medical payment methods,the number of complications,positive psychological capital and family care were the influencing factors of FoC in T2DM patients.Conclusion The fear of complications in T2DM patients is at a moderate level.Nursing staff should pay attention to the early assessment of patients' fear of complications,promptly identify and take effective measures to reduce the level of patients' fear of complications,improve their quality of life.

Gongfa is an essential approach to prevent and treat diseases in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),often used to prevent a disease before it arises.Guided by TCM and modern scientific theories,the Tuina(Chinese therapeutic massage)Gongfa prescription theory implements the principle,method,prescription,and form in clinical pattern-identified treatment to prescribe the corresponding Tuina Gongfa prescription,i.e.,to prescribe a basic Tuina Gongfa prescription,specifically for a systemic disease,and modify Gongfa forms based on the basic prescription according to different patterns.The Gongfa prescription for pulmonary diseases designs corresponding Gongfa forms from six perspectives:lifting Yang,securing the exterior,opening the orifices,soothing the chest,harmonizing the stomach,and regulating Qi to prevent and treat diseases.The application of the pulmonary Gongfa prescription indicates the potential to apply the Tuina Gongfa prescription theory for the clinical prevention,treatment,and rehabilitation of disorders of other systems,thereby fully realizing the unique role of TCM Gongfa.

Objective:A C57/BL6 mouse model of traumatic temporomandibular joint ankylosis (TTMJA) was established through composite trauma to lay the foundation for studying the pathophysiology of TTMJA.Methods:This study was conducted from January 2024 to February 2025. Forty-two 4-weeks old C57/BL6 mice, numbered 1 to 42, are randomly assigned to a control group ( n=21) and an experimental group ( n=21) using a computer-generated random number sequence. The experimental group undergoes modeling surgery on the left temporomandibular joint (TMJ), while the control group is routinely raised without special treatment. At 12 weeks post-surgery, the TMJ complex of both groups is assessed via body weight and mouth opening measurements, gross observation, micro-CT, and histological staining to evaluate model establishment. Results:At 12 weeks post-operation, in the experimental group, the body weight of mice [(27.75±1.08) g] did not show a significant difference compared with that of the control group [(30.80±0.29) g]( t=0.54, P=0.610). The maximum vertical passive mouth opening [(1.70±0.26) mm] in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group [(3.43±0.21) mm]( t=8.92, P<0.001). Gross observation indicated that the right TMJ structure of the experimental-group mice was normal, while irregular hyperplasia occurred in the left TMJ complex. Micro-CT revealed that at 12 weeks post-operation, the right joint structure of the experimental-group mice was normal, with regular condyles and glenoid fossae. On the left side, a large amount of bone hyperplasia occurred on the lateral side of the joint in the condyles and glenoid fossae, forming two irregular bone masses, and there was an uncalcified radiolucent zone between the bone masses. In histological staining, no new cartilage or bone tissue was observed in the left joint space of the control-group mice, and the articular disc structure was normal. In the experimental-group mice, obvious new cartilage and calcified bone tissue were visible on the lateral side of the left joint space. A bone bridge was formed between the condyles and glenoid fossae, the articular disc structure disappeared, and bony ankylosis occurred. Conclusions:In this experiment, a TTMJA model of C57/BL6 mice was initially established by removing the articular disc and damaging part of the fibrous cartilage of the glenoid fossae and condyles, providing an experimental platform for further research on the pathogenesis of TTMJA.
