Objective:Guided by the requirements for discipline construction in high education, this study aims to plan the layout of disciplinary construction scientifically, examine the shortcomings in integrating Party building work with discipline development within universities, and further propose innovative approaches pertinently to facilitate a deep and seamless integration between Party building activities and discipline advancement.Methods:Through a combination method of literature review and case analysis, this research explored the intricate relationship between Party building work and discipline development in universities, as well as the current status of Party building work guiding discipline development. Taking the practice of a medical college's party branch in promoting discipline development through Party building work as an example, innovative strategies for Party building work to lead discipline development were proposed.Results:Currently, there was room for improvement in terms of awareness and understanding of party building work leading discipline development in universities, as well as in the integration mechanisms and working mechanisms. Party branches of a medical college had integrated party building into their routine work, merging high-quality Party branch work with discipline development by strengthening political awareness, improving Party building mechanisms, promoting education through Party building initiatives, and establishing new integration platforms, thereby exploring practical pathways for their fusion.Conclusions:Party building work is complementary and mutually facilitative to academic development. Guided by the spirit of scientists and through important approaches such as ″forming a development alliance through their combination″″forging high-level teams for party building and academic leadership talents″ and ″advancing publicity to empower and enhance the quality and efficiency of grassroots party building work″ can be effectively strengthened the organic integration of party building and academic development. This holds practical significance for improving educational quality, cultivating high-quality talents, and driving the sustainable development of the university.

Objective:To explore the latest progress of oncology drug clinical trials in China under COVID-19, as well as to provide decision-making evidence for related stakeholders. Research progress of oncology drug trials and approved cancer drugs in China in 2020 were systematically summarized and compared with 2019.Methods:Information Disclosure Platform for Drug Clinical Studies and China Food and Drug Administration Query System for Domestic and Imported Drug were searched for registered clinical trials and approved oncology drugs, respectively. The trial scope, stage, drug type, effect and mechanism of domestic and global pharmaceutical enterprises were compared between 2019 and 2020.Results:A total of 722 cancer drug trials registered in China in 2020, with an annual growth rate of 52.3%, accounting for 28.3% of all registered trials. Among them, 603 (83.5%) trials were initiated by domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, and 105 (14.5%) were international multicenter trials, phase I trials accounted for 44.5%. For all those trials, there were 458 cancer drug varieties, with an annual growth rate of 36.7%, and 361 (85.8%) were developed by domestic enterprises. Most of the investigational products were therapeutic innovative drugs (77.1%), major in tumor treatment (92.8%). In terms of mechanism, targeted drugs were the most popular, accounting for 76.6%, and programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) and epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) were the most common targets. In addition, there were 19 anticancer drugs from 17 companies approved in China in 2019, with 10 drugs from domestic companies. Lung cancer and breast cancer are the most common indications for both registered trials and marketed drugs. No statistically significant differences were found between 2020 and 2019 in terms of the distribution of trial sponsor, scope and stage, as well as the distribution of drug type, effect and mechanism ( P>0.05). Conclusions:During the Covid-19 epidemic period, clinical trials of oncology drugs in China progress smoothly and maintain a high growth rate. Series of innovative products obtained by domestic enterprises in 2020 is the main driving force of development of oncology drug clinical trials in China.

Objective To study the treatment effects of newborn mice murine Cytomegalovirus (MCMV) hepatitis by using CpG Oligodeoxynucleotide 2395 (CpG ODN2395).Methods Specific pathogen-free BALB/c newborn mice were divided into 3 groups according to the broods randomly:control group,virus group and treatment group.In control group 9 g/L sodium chloride 20 × 10-6 L was intraperitoneally injected every other day.In virus group MCMV (TCID50 =108.31/L) 20 × 10-6 L was intraperitoneally injected once and 9 g/L sodium chloride solution 20 × 10-6 L was intraperitoneally injected every other day.In treatment group murine MCMV(TCID50 =10S31/L) 20 × 10-6 L was intraperitoneally injected once and from the first day CpG ODN2395 20 mg/kg was intraperitoneally injected every other day.Growths and development of mice were observed.Murine body weights were measured.Pathology of livers was observed by means of hematoxylin and eosin stain.The levels of serum ALT and IFN-α were measured by adopting enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.MCMV loads in liver were measured by way of polymerase chain reaction.The expression levels of IFN-α mRNA in liver were detected by using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.The expression levels of Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) and myeloid cell differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) in liver were detected by adopting Western blot.The results were analyzed by using SPSS 16.0 statistics software.Results 1.Compared with control group and treatment group,growth and development of virus group mice fell behind and on day 7,14 body weights were lowest(F =18.919,25.543,all P ＜ 0.05).Growth and development of treatment group mice were between control group and virus group.Body weights of treatment group mice were lower than those of control group,and there was statistical difference on day 7 (t =3.187,P ＜ 0.05).2.Compared with control group and treatment group,the levels of ALT in virus group was highest.ALT levels of treatment group were higher than those of control group and treatment group(F =11.407,11.791,154.656,all P ＜ 0.05).3.The pathologic change of liver tissue:the HAI of virus group reached the peak on day 3,then decreased gradually.The HAI of treatment group also reached the peak on day 3,but liver damage was obviously less than those of virus group.The liver damage also relieved gradually and the mean of HAI was obviously lower than that of virus group on day 7 and 14.4.MCMV DNA in liver was negative at control group.The magnitude of viral loading in livers of virus group was higher than that of treatment group.5.The levels of IFN-α in treatment group and virus group reached a peak on day 3 and declined gradually on day 7,14.The levels of IFN-α on treatment group were higher than that of virus group and control group.The levels of IFN-α virus group were higher than those of control group,but had no statistical difference.6.The mRNA expression of IFN-α in livers of treatment group and virus group began to increase on day 3 and reached a peak on day 7,and declined on day 14.The mRNA expression of IFN-α was higher than that of virus group and control group.The mRNA expression of virus group was higher than that of control group.7.The expressions of TLR9 and MyD88 in livers of treatment group were higher than that of virus group and control group.The expressions of TLR9 and MyD88 of virus group were higher than those of control group.Conclusions CpG ODN2395 can obviously improved liver function and histopathological lesions and reduce MCMV DNA load within liver tissues as well.CpG ODN2395 can improve the expression levels of TLR9 in liver and activate secretion interferon alpha by MyD88-dependent pathway,which were likely to play an important role in its treatment of murine CMV infection.

Visceral myopathy is a rare disorder characterized by atrophy,losing and fibrosis of visceral smooth muscle.Digestive tract is often invaded by the lesions,and the symptoms are various according to different lesions and degrees.Small intestinal involvement is characterized by abdominal distension,diarrhea and vomiting.Colon involvement is characterized by chronic intestinal pseudoobstruction.Malnutrition and hypoproteinemia may be secondary to this disease.The diagnosis of visceral myopathy is difficult,paralytic ileus,chronic constipation and systemic sclerosis must be considered in the differential diagnosis.The progression of the disease is slow,and the longterm prognosis is poor.In this article,the diagnosis and treatment of visceral myopathy causing acute intestinal pseudoobstruction were introduced based on the clinical data of 1 patient.

Gastric cancer carcinogenesis is a multifactorial process which is related to an interaction of host factors,Helieobacter pylori (Hp) infection,dietary factors and so on.The plant polyphenols which are widely present in many plants are the general term for a large group polyphenolic compounds.They have strong antioxidant activity.Furthermore,many animal experiments and clinical studies have proved that the polyphenols could inhibit gastric cancer via inhibiting Hp infection,suppressing the expression of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB),promoting apoptosis in cancer cells and so on.The application of plant polyphenols could broaden the approaches for chemoprevention of gastric cancer.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of somatostatin and ileus tube for adhesive bowel obstruction.Methods From January 2008 to February 2010,ninety-one patients diagnosed with adhesive bowel obstruction were enrolled in the study.Patients were randomly divided into four groups:somatostatin + ileus tube group ( group A,n =22 ),somatostatin + nasogastric tube group (group B,n=19),ileus tube group (group C,n=23),and nasogastric tube group (group D,n =27).All cases received conventional treatment,including fasting,maintaining electrolyte and acid-base balance,enteral and parenteral nutrition support and antibiotics; Groups A and B received somatostatin 0.6 mg/day,groups B and D received nasogastric tube decompression.ANOVA analysis and x2 test were used to compare the variables.Results Group A had a quick recovery of flatus and stool compared with group D,[ (4.5 ±1.9) vs.(7.8 ± 1.7) d] (F =28.715,P =0.000).Abdominal pain and abdominal distension recovered faster [ (3.6 ± 1.5) vs.(8.4 ± 2.2) day ] in group A compared with group D ( F =23.857,P =0.000).Less amount of gastric drainage were observed in somatostatin-treatment groups [ group A vs.C:(632 ±102) ml/d vs.(1020±148) ml/d; group B vs.D:(410±86) ml/d vs.(590±97) ml/d] (F=11.687,P =0.000;F=10.399,P =0.000).The rate of laparotomy in group A was O,which was significantly less than the 22％ in group D ( x2 =5.571,P =0.018 ).Conclusions The high improvement rate in abdominal symptoms suggested the efficacy of somatostatin and ileus tube in patients with small bowel obstruction.The application of somatostatin combined with ileus tube improves the symptoms of adhesive intestinal obstruction and decreases the rate of laparotomy.
