1.Surveillance for Aedes albopictus in Guangzhou City from 2021 to 2023

Objective To investigate the population density and seasonal fluctuations of Aedes albopictus in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, from 2021 to 2023, so as to provide insights into A. albopictus control and management of dengue fever. Methods The surveillance of A. albopictus density was performed in all surveillance sites assigned across all streets (townships) in Guangzhou City during the period from January to December from 2021 to 2023. The surveillance frequency was twice every half month from May to September, and once every month for the rest of a year. In each surveillance period, A. albopictus mosquito larvae were captured from indoor and outdoor small water containers in residential areas, parks, medical facilities, schools, other government sectors and social organizations, construction sites, special industries and others for mosquito species identification. Adult mosquitoes were captured using electric mosquito suction apparatus for species identification and gender classification. Adult mosquitoes and mosquito eggs were collected with mosquito and egg traps at the breeding and dwelling places of Aedes mosquitoes for identification. The mosquito oviposition index (MOI), Breteau index (BI), adult mosquito density index (ADI) and standard space index (SSI) were calculated. The A. albopictus density was classified into grades 0, 1, 2 and 3 in each surveillance site, with Grade 0 density defined eligible, and the eligible rate of A. albopictus density was calculated at all surveillance sites each year from 2021 to 2023. In addition, the changing trends in MOI, SSI, BI and ADI of A. albopictus were analyzed in Guangzhou City from 2021 to 2023. Results The eligible rates of A. albopictus density were 61.69%, 68.75% and 55.15% in surveillance sites of Guangzhou City from 2021 to 2023 (χ2 = 297.712, P < 0.001), and appeared a tendency towards a reduction followed by a rise each year, which gradually reduced since January, maintained at a low level during the period between May and October, and gradually increased from November to December. The MOI, SSI, BI and ADI of A. albopictus all appeared a tendency towards a rise followed by a reduction in Guangzhou City during the period between January and December from 2021 to 2023. The BI of A. albopictus peaked in the first half of June in 2021 (4.03), the first half of July in 2022 (3.89) and the last half of August in 2023 (5.02), and the SSI of A. albopictus peaked in the last half of June in 2021 (0.93), the last half of May in 2022 (0.59), and the last half of June (0.94) and the first half of September in 2023 (1.12). In addition, the MOI of A. albopictus peaked in the first half of May in 2021 (8.64), the first half of June in 2022 (8.96), and the last half of May (10.21) and the last half of June in 2023 (10.89), and the ADI of A. albopictus peaked in the first half of June in 2021 (3.41), the last half of June in 2022 (4.06), and the first half of July in 2023 (3.61). Conclusions The density of A. albopictus is high in Guangzhou City during the period from May to October, and the risk of local outbreak caused by imported dengue fever is high. Persistent intensified surveillance of the density and seasonal fluctuation of A. albopictus is recommended and timely mosquito prevention and control is required according to the fluctuation in the A. albopictus density.
2.Analysis on the Acupoint Selection Law and Acupuncture and Moxibustion Methods for Treating Lactational Mastitis Based on Data Mining

Objective To analyze the law of acupoint selection and compatibility of acupuncture and moxibustion and the application law of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of lactational mastitis using complex network technology.Methods The clinical research literature about acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of lactational mastitis was retrieved from CNKI,CBM,Wanfang Data,VIP and PubMed from the establishment of the databases to March 15,2025.The literature was screened according to the standards to build a prescription database of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of lactational mastitis.SPSS Modeler 18.0 software was used to analyze association rules,and Gephi 0.9 software was used for complex network analysis.Results A total of 108 articles were included.141 acupuncture and moxibustion prescriptions were extracted,involving 74 acupoints,with a total use frequency of 677 times.The high-frequency acupoints were Jianjing,Danzhong,Rugen,Zusanli,Neiguan,etc.Specific acupoints were mainly composed of Wushu acupoints(169 times,21.10%);the acupoints were mainly distributed in the limbs(36);the most frequently used meridian was stomach meridian(168 times,24.82%).The combination of acupoints with the highest correlation was Jianjing-Neiguan-Rugen.Complex network analysis identified 22 core acupoints,with the most commonly used acupuncture method being filiform needle acupuncture(79 times).Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of lactational mastitis pays special attention to the selection of stomach meridian.The compatibility mode is mainly from top to bottom,and the corresponding acupoints are selected according to syndrome differentiation.

4.Real-world study of tenofovir amibufenamide in the treatment of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis

Objective:To evaluate the short-term antiviral efficacy and safety profile of tenofovir amibufenamide (TMF) in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis.Methods:The biochemical indexes, renal function, and complication status in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis who were treated with tenofovir amibufenamide (TMF) in Beijing You'an Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University from March 2022 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.Results:A total of 98 cases with hepatitis B cirrhosis were included. Among them, 62 and 36 cases with hepatitis B cirrhosis had previously undergone partial resection for hepatocellular carcinoma. 66.7% (62/93) of the treated patients were HBV DNA negative before treatment. The longest follow-up time for medication was 24 months, with an average follow-up of (14.1±4.7) months. There were no statistically significant differences in aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and total bilirubin (TBil) levels at 18 months of treatment compared with those before treatment ( P>0.05). The ALT return to normal rate was 91.3%. The HBV DNA negativity rate was 90.6% and 93.5% at 18 and 12 months of follow-up, respectively. There were no significant changes in the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) compared with those before treatment ( P>0.05). 36 cases were still HBV DNA positive (including 31 treated and 5 never treated) before treatment. A total of 29 cases were followed up for 12 months, and 24 cases (82.8%) had HBV DNA negative conversion. Conclusion:TMF antiviral therapies have an HBV DNA negative rate of over 80% at 12 months and can improve the liver function in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis. However, there were no significant changes in renal function and blood lipids before and after treatment.
5.Study on the effect of Peer Balint-style group on empathy ability of third-year long-term medical students

Objective:This study aimed to assess the effects of Peer Balint-style group on the empathy ability of third-year long-term medical students and to provide a theoretical and practical reference for effectively improving their humanistic quality.Methods:Ninety third-year Chinese long-term medicine students participated. Volunteers received either ten sessions of 1.5-h Peer Balint-style group which were led by specially trained peers from June 2019 to August 2019. The College Students' Empathy Ability Questionnaire was used before the experiment and the second day after the experiment. The total score of the scale from the pre-test and post-test and the scores of each dimension conformed to a normal distribution, with equal variance, describing in the form of ( x± s). Paired t-tests were performed to compare the total score and each dimension score before and after the intervention, using SPSS 22.0. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 7 peer-group leaders and group members after the clinical practice period. The interview materials were analyzed by traditional content analysis. The content of the qualitative research was open-coded to obtain 10 categories, suggesting the role and inadequacy of Peer Balint-style groups. Results:A total of 63 valid samples were obtained. There was no significant difference of ( t=-0.44, P=0.661, P>0.05) between the total score of the post-test (118.00±11.98) and the total score of the pre-test (117.38±12.36). In each dimension, the reverse comprehension score of post-test (9.06±1.97) was significantly different ( t=-2.08, P=0.041, P>0.05) from the pre-test's (8.57±2.15), which increased compared to the pre-test score. Conclusions:Peer Balint-style group had a positive effect on improving empathy among medical students. Compared with the traditional Balint group, it has wider coverage, higher affinity and greater mobility. However, the design of the Peer Balint-style group still needs to be further improved.

7.Bayesian Network Meta-analysis of Therapeutic Effect of Oral Chinese Patent Medicines on Coronary Artery Disease Complicated with Carotid Atherosclerosis

ObjectiveTo compare the therapeutic effects of oral Chinese medicines (including Chinese patent medicines) on coronary artery disease (CAD) by the Bayesian network Meta-analysis. MethodThe randomized controlled trials of treating CAD with oral Chinese medicines were retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, VIP, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane Library from the inception to December 1, 2022. The Cochrane risk of bias assessment tool was used to evaluate the quality of the included articles. The direct meta-analysis was performed to compare the performance of oral Chinese medicines alone and in combination with Western medicine in the treatment of CAD in terms of intima-media thickness (IMT), vascular endothelial function, plaque score, hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and total response rate. Furthermore, the Bayesian network Meta-analysis was performed to compare the therapeutic effects of different Chinese medicines. ResultA total of 41 articles were included. The direct meta-analysis results showed that Chinese medicines combined with Western medicine outperformed Western medicine alone in recovering all the indicators of CAD. The Bayesian network meta-analysis yielded the following results. In terms of the total response rate, modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwutang and Sanqi Huayu pills had obvious advantages over other Chinese medicines. In terms of IMT and plaque score, Xiaoban Huazhuo decoction, Yiqi Tongluo formula, Ruangan Jiangzhi capsules, and Guanxin Shutong capsules had obvious advantages over other Chinese medicines. In terms of blood lipid indicators, Shenqi Roumai mixture, Ruangan Jiangzhi capsules, Xiaoban Huazhuo decoction, Qiwei Sanxiong decoction, and Sanqi Huayu pills were superior to other Chinese medicines. The Chinese medicines above mainly had the functions of activating blood, resolving stasis, resolving phlegm, and dredging vessels. ConclusionThe combination of oral Chinese medicines and Western medicine is effective in treating CAD. Clinicians can use the drugs targeting abnormal indicators according to the results of this Bayesian network meta-analysis combined with the actual situation of patients to achieve better therapeutic effects.
8.Gastrointestinal endoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary liver disease

Biliary liver disease refers to intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct system lesions or bile duct epithelial cells damage, resulting in abnormal liver function, inflammation and fibrosis, which mainly manifests as chronic cholestatic liver disease. The common causes include primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, progressive familial intrahepatic cholangitis, bile duct complications after liver transplantation, and vanishing bile duct syndrome caused by drugs or serious infections, and the most prominent symptoms affecting the patients quality life is pruritus and jaundice. Endoscopic retrograde duodenoscopic cholangiopancreatography and cholangiopancreatoscopy (SpyGlass) and other endoscopic examinations can significantly improve the accuracy of early differential diagnosis,cytology and biopsy of primary sclerosing cholangitis, immunoglobulin G4-related cholangitis and cholangiocarcinoma. Endoscopic nasobiliary drainage, balloon dilatation and intrabiliary stent implantation can significantly improve pruritus symptoms, liver biochemical indicators and prognosis. Therefore, gastrointestinal endoscopy has important value and application prospects in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary liver diseases.
9.Value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of urothelial carcinoma of bladder

Objective:To evaluate the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of bladder urothelial carcinoma(BUC).Methods:A comparative analysis of 138 patients with bladder lesions (123 cases of BUC and 15 cases of other benign lesions) who were hospitalized in Union Hospital, Fujian Medical University from January 2019 to May 2021 were confirmed by pathology. All patients underwent two-dimensional ultrasound, color Doppler ultrasound, CEUS examination, the time intensity curve (TIC) of the region of interest(ROI) before operation was drawn, the ultrasound examination results with the pathological diagnosis results were compared and its diagnostic efficiency was analyzed.Results:Among the 138 cases of bladder lesions, 98 cases were single lesions and 40 cases were multiple lesions. In all single lesions, 95 cases were found by two-dimensional ultrasound and 3 cases were missed, while in all multiple lesions, 24 cases were found by two-dimensional ultrasound and 16 cases were missed, but all cases could be shown by CEUS. The sensitivity of CEUS to multiple bladder lesions was higher than that of two-dimensional ultrasound ( P<0.05). Besides, the differences between BUC and benign lesions in color blood flow distribution intensity and CEUS performance were significant (both P<0.05). Malignant lesions were mostly "less- to -rich" blood flow signals, and benign lesions were mainly "less- to- no" blood flow signals.In addition, in the CEUS examination, 83.7% (103/123) of BUC were high enhancement, and only 33.3% (5/15) of benign lesions were high enhancement. The diagnostic accuracy, specificity and negative predictive value of CEUS(89.9%, 46.7%, 53.8%) were higher than that of two-dimensional ultrasound(67.4%, 13.3%, 13.3%). The area under the curve, the rising slope and the peak intensity of BUC were all higher than those of benign lesions, and the differences were significant(all P<0.05), but none of them was independent risk factor for BUC ( P>0.05). Conclusions:CEUS can significantly improve the diagnostic sensitivity of bladder multiple lesions and help to improve the diagnostic accuracy of BUC, while the area under the curve, the rising slope and the peak intensity of TIC were not the independent risk factors for BUC.
10.Rapid identification of chemical constituents in Abrus cantoniensis Hance by UPLC-Q-TOF/MS combined with UNIFI platform

OBJECTIVE To establish an analytical method based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time- of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF/MS) combined with UNIFI platform for rapid identification of the chemical constituents in Abrus cantoniensis Hance. METHODS The chromatographic separation was performed on ACQUITY PRM HSS T3 FIT column for gradient elution with the mobile phase consisted of 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution-acetonitrile. The flow rate was 0.3 mL/min, and injection volume was 2 μL. Electrospray ionization was used to collect the mass spectrometry data of the chemical constituents of A. cantoniensis Hance with full information tandem mass spectrometry technology in positive and negative ion modes. The chemical constituent database of A. cantoniensis Hance was established. Targeted and non-targeted analyses were conducted based on UNIFI platform, and chemical constituents were further identified in combination with accurate molecular mass, secondary fragment ion information and equivalence with reference substances and literature data, etc. RESULTS Totally 46 compounds of A. cantoniensis Hance were successfully identified, including 19 flavonoids, 8 triterpenoids, 3 alkaloids, 5 organic acids and 11 other components. Among them, 11 compounds were firstly found in A. cantoniensis Hance, and 9 compounds were confirmed by reference substance. CONCLUSIONS The analytical method based on UPLC-Q-TOF/MS combined with UNIFI platform can quickly identify the chemical constituents of A. cantoniensis Hance. Flavonoids and triterpenes are the main components in A. cantoniensis Hance.
