Objective: To determine the association between exposure to entertainment screen content on mobile phones and symptoms of anxiety-depression co-morbidity among college students,so as to provide evidence for mental health interventions. Methods: A baseline survey was conducted from April to May 2019. A total of 1 135 college students were selected from one university each in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province and Hefei City, Anhui Province using cluster random sampling method. A follow up study was conducted in November 2019, resulting in 1 110 matched valid responses. Self rating questionnaires were used to assess the exposure of entertainment screen content. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21(DASS-21) and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) were used to evaluate the anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms, and symptoms of anxiety-depression co-morbidity among college students. A multivariate binary Logistic regression model was constructed following initial intergroup comparisons with Chi-square test to determine the association between baseline exposure to mobile entertainment screen content and the risk of symptoms of anxiety depression co-morbidity at baseline and the 6 month follow up. Results: The prevalence rates of symptoms of anxiety-depression co-morbidity among college students were 25.4% and 20.6% at baseline and follow up, respectively.After adjusting for confounding factors such as gender, self rated family economic status and self rated health status, the results of multivariate binary Logistic regression analysis showed that compared with the appropriate exposure level group, the exposure of entertainment screen content on mobile phones at baseline, including frequent exposure to reading( OR =1.65,95% CI =1.14-2.39), occasional exposure to other entertainment screen content ( OR =1.46,95% CI =1.01-2.10)and frequent exposure to other entertainment screen content( OR =1.76,95% CI =1.20-2.60), increased the co-occurrence risk of symptoms of anxiety-depression co-morbidity among college students during the follow up period (all P <0.05). Conclusion Occasional or frequert exposure to mobile entertainment screen content can increase the risk of symptoms of anxiety depression co-morbidity among college students.

Objective: To investigate the longitudinal association between biological rhythm trajectories and the risk of anxiety, depression, and comorbid symptoms among college students, so as to provide a cumulative empirical basis for early psychiatric tracking and mental health warning systems. Methods: Using random cluster sampling method, a baseline survey was conducted from April to May 2019. One comprehensive university and one medical university were selected in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, and Hefei City, Anhui Province, respectively. A total of 1 029 first year college students were recruited as study participants, and four waves of longitudinal follow up were carried out over a period of two years. The Self rating of Biological Rhythm Disorder for Adolescents was used to assess college students biological rhythms, and using the dynamic data from the first two follow ups to construct the trajectory of biological rhythm changes. Mental health outcomes (anxiety and depressive symptoms) at the end of the follow up period were assessed using Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 and Patient Health Questionnaire-9. Multivariable Logistic regression models were employed to evaluate the independent predictive value of distinct lifestyle rhythm trajectories on the detection risk of long term anxiety, depression, and their comorbid symptoms. Results: The prevalence rates of anxiety, depression, and comorbid symptoms among participants were 23.5%, 22.6%, and 16.7%, respectively. Multivariable Logistic regression analysis showed that, after adjusting for confounding factors such as sex, major, smoking, and alcohol consumption, compared with the persistent low risk reference group of overall biological rhythm, the persistent high risk trajectory group of overall assessment had an increased risk of anxiety symptoms( OR=3.87, 95%CI =2.45-6.11), depressive symptoms( OR=3.18, 95%CI =1.98-5.10), and comorbid symptoms( OR=2.43, 95%CI =1.46-4.04)(all P ＜0.05).Among college students in the elevated overall assessment risk group, the risks of anxiety symptoms ( OR=1.97, 95%CI =1.22-3.17), depressive symptoms ( OR=2.13, 95%CI =1.33-3.42), and comorbid symptoms ( OR=1.81, 95%CI =1.07-3.06) were also increased (all P < 0. 05), and the various risks in the group with increased risks were also higher than those in the group with consistently low risks. Conclusions The dynamic deterioration and persistent disruption of college students lifestyle and behavioral rhythms serve as strong early warning indicators for long term anxiety and depressive symptoms. Mental health screening in colleges and universities should incorporate multi timepoint dynamic tracking of behavioral rhythms, and circadian rhythm regulation should be regarded as a core target for group level mental health interventions.

This study aims to investigate the changes in blood biochemical indicators of tongue roll-ing(TR)behavior in cattle and their correlation with changes in oral microbiota,laying a founda-tion for further exploring the relationship between animal oral microbiota,biochemical indicators,and behavioral changes.It also provides theoretical basis for preventing and treating TR behavior through regulating oral microbiota.This study intends to analyze and compare the blood biochemi-cal indicators and changes in oral microbiota of cattle with TR behavior and healthy cattle without TR behavior(healthy control,H),in order to explore the blood biochemical indicators of TR cattle and their correlation with changes in oral microbiota.Blood samples from the caudal vein of cattle in each group were collected for the detection of blood biochemical indicators and stress-related hormone indicators.Oral swabs from cattle in each group were collected for 16S rRNA gene se-quencing to analyze the composition,structure,and functional changes of their oral microbiota.The results of blood biochemical indicators in H and TR groups showed that the concentrations of al-bumin(ALB),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),calcium ion(Ca2+),and cortisol in TR group were significantly higher than those in H group(P＜0.05).There were significant differences in beta diversity of oral microbiota between TR and H groups(P＜0.05).At the genus level,the rela-tive abundances of Pseudomonas,Enterobacter,Xanthomonas,and other genera in the oral micro-biota of TR group were significantly higher than those in H group(P＜0.05).However,the rela-tive abundances of Tessaracoccus,Turicibacter,Monoglobus,Dietzia,Bifidobacterium,and other genera in the oral microbiota of TR group were significantly lower than those in H group(P＜0.05).In the KEGG metabolic pathway at the third level,the relative abundances of thiamine me-tabolism,lipoate metabolism,cysteine and methionine metabolism in the oral microbiota of TR group were significantly lower than those in H group(P＜0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that ALB and AST were significantly positively correlated with the relative abundances of Pseudomonas and Stenotrophomonas.Therelative abundances of Pseudomonas,Stenotrophomonas,and Sphingomonas were significantly positively correlated with fatty acid metabolism,phosphate and phosphonate metabolism,and lipoate metabolism.ALB was significantly positively correlated with inositol phosphate metabolism and phosphate and phosphonate metabolism.The study found that there were significant differences in blood biochemical indicators and oral microbiota between TR and H groups.In addition,there is a certain correlation between the composition,structure,and function of oral microbiota and the biochemical function of the host.This indicates that TR behav-ior may be associated with changes in the biochemical indicators of the host and the composition,structure,and function of oral microbiota.

Objective:To explore the factors that can predict the outcome of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) in elderly patients with moderate acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and analyze their clinical application value.Methods:A total of 87 elderly patients with moderate ARDS caused by community-acquired pneumonia admitted to the Emergency Department of Beijing Friendship Hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected. Taking the need for conversion to invasive ventilation during treatment as the study endpoint, the patients were divided into NIV success group and failure group. Clinical data of patients were collected every 2 hours starting from 2 hours after the initiation of NIV, and differences between the two groups were compared. The predictive efficacy of potential risk factors was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and area under the curve (AUC).Results:Among the 87 patients, 38 cases failed NIV within 48 hours (overall failure rate 43.7%), including 18 cases failing within the first 12 hours and 20 new failures from 12 to 48 hours, while the remaining 49 cases succeeded. There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in gender, age, prevalence of hypertension and diabetes, left ventricular ejection fraction, serum creatinine, total bilirubin, heart rate, N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), inspiratory positive airway pressure (IPAP), arterial blood pH, partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide (PaCO 2), oxygenation index (PaO 2/FiO 2), mean arterial pressure, Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score, respiratory rate and other indicators (all P>0.05). The failure group had a significantly lower baseline VOX index [(SpO 2/FiO 2)/VT] than the success group. From 2 to 12 hours after the initiation of NIV (a total of 6 recording time points), the VOX index in the failure group was significantly lower than that in the success group (all P<0.001). ROC curve analysis showed that the VOX index had the best predictive efficacy at 4-6 hours after NIV initiation: at 4 hours, the AUC was 0.929, and the optimal cut-off value of 24.72 had the highest sensitivity (91.84%) for predicting failure; at 6 hours, the AUC was 0.870, and the optimal cut-off value of 24.58 had the highest specificity (90.91%) for predicting failure. Conclusions:The VOX index can effectively predict the failure outcome of NIV in elderly patients with moderate ARDS, and its predictive ability is the strongest at 4-6 hours after the initiation of NIV. Clinically, the 4-hour or 6-hour time window can be selected to evaluate the prognosis according to the patient′s specific conditions (such as respiratory drive intensity, weaning risk), providing a reference for timely adjustment of respiratory support plans.

Objective: To analyze serological and molecular characteristics of asymptomatic HBV infection in HBV surface antigen positive (HBsAg+) blood donors from Dalian. Methods: The prevalence of HBsAg was analyzed among blood donors in Dalian between 2013 and 2022. Randomly selected HBsAg+ blood samples were subjected to HBV serological testing, HBV viral DNA quantification, and HBV genotyping. Results: Over this ten-year period, the prevalence of HBsAg decreased from 1.25% to 0.50% among blood donors in Dalian. Donors who tested positive for HBsAg prior to donation using a rapid test (RT) accounted for 92.5% of all HBsAg+ donors identified. A total of 240 confirmed HBsAg+ blood donors were randomly selected, including 125 donors with positive results and 115 with negative results in the pre-donation rapid test. HBsAg+ donors were mainly males (71.2%), with a median age of 42, and 97.5% of them being first-time donors. Based on HBV serological profiles, three stages of infection were identified: early infection (2.9%), suspected acute hepatitis (0.8%), and chronic infection (96.3%). The dominant HBV genotypes were C (68.9%) and B (28.4%). Among chronic HBV infection individuals, donors infected with HBV genotype B were older than those infected with genotype C (median age: 45y vs 38.5y, P<0.05). Additionally, they showed significantly lower HBsAg levels with a narrower distribution range than those infected with genotype C [median: 23.2 IU/mL (range: <0.05-7 910 IU/mL) vs 968 IU/mL (range: <0.05-3.4×10 ), P<0.05]. However, no significant difference was observed in the HBV DNA loads between these two genotypes (P>0.05). Conclusion: Between 2013 and 2022, the prevalence of HBsAg among blood donors in Dalian showed a year-over-year decline. Chronic infection was predominant among HBsAg+ first-time blood donors. The characteristics of chronic infection in blood donors differed significantly depending on the viral genotype, manifesting as differences in age of infected individuals and HBsAg level distribution.

Digital screening incorporates technology into the disease assessment process and plays a significant role in large-scale screening for mild cognitive impairment(MCI)within communities.This consensus systematically reviews and evaluates the existing evidence regarding the effectiveness of digital screening for MCI in these settings.The working group has integrated the perspectives of experts from diverse fields, including clinical practice, scientific research, and industry, to clarify the definitions of digital-related terms.Furthermore, the consensus presents 12 recommendations that outline the main classifications of tools, basic elements to consider, target individuals, screening frequency, and management strategies for digital screening, while also indicating future development directions.The aim is to optimize early diagnosis and treatment strategies for MCI and to promote the advancement of digital screening in cognitive health management for middle-aged and older adults in community settings.
