1.Research progress of visual perception training on postoperative reconstruction of binocular vision in patients with intermittent exotropia

Intermittent exotropia(IXT)is a common ophthalmic disease with high incidence, variable deviation, and varying degrees of impaired binocular visual function. The defect of binocular visual function is related to the changes of visual cortex. IXT involves the functional changes of many brain regions, including the cortical areas related to binocular fusion. After correcting the eye position, the abnormal changes of cerebral cortex still exist in some patients with IXT, and the recovery of binocular vision is still difficult. In order to solve these problems, visual perception training is gradually applied to the postoperative reconstruction of binocular visual function in patients with IXT. Visual perception training repairs the visual cortex from the brain level, improving the ability of the visual cortex to process information by constantly stimulating the visual center, thus repairing the visual central function, so that patients can obtain good binocular visual function, stabilize the eye position and reduce recurrence. This article reviews the mechanism of binocular visual impairment and the role of visual perception training in the treatment of IXT. It is hoped to provide more evidence for visual perception training to reconstruct postoperative binocular visual function and reduce the recurrence rate in patients with IXT.
2.Effect of Modified Bazhentang on Nutritional Status and Immune Function of Gastric Cancer Patients with Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy

Objective:To observe the effect of modified Bazhentang on the nutritional status and immune function of patients with Qi and blood deficiency syndrome in neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) for gastric cancer. Method:One hundred and ten patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 55 cases each. Both groups accepted FOLFOX6 protocol. Patients in control group took Jianpi Shengxue tablets orally, 3 tablets/time, 3 times/day. Patients in observation group received modified Bazhentang, 1 dose/day. The course of treatment was six weeks in both groups. Before and after treatment, scores were graded according to patient generated-subjective global assessment (PG-SGA), Qi and blood deficiency syndrome, and the Revised Piper Fatigue Scale (PFS-R). Levels of serum total protein (TB), albumin (ALB), prealbumin (PAB), CD4+, CD8+, helper T lymphocyte 17 (Th17), regulatory T cell (Treg), immunoglobulin G (IgG), IgM, and IgA were detected before and after therapy. Body mass index (BMI) and fat free mass index (FFMI) were measured before and after treatment. Weight loss was recorded, and the acute or subacute toxicity of anticancer drugs was evaluated. 3.A review on inflammation cytokines in pathogenesis of keratoconus

Keratoconus(KC)is a progressive corneal thinning disease which can cause the conical appearance, scar growth and vision loss via corneal ectasia. Various factors were demonstrated to be related to its etiology, including the genetic factors and the environmental factors(i.e. the friction of eyelids and eyeball, the friction of contact lens and eyeball and the UV irradiation). In addition to the genetic and environmental factors, the inflammation cytokines has been reported as another key factor to the pathogenesis of keratoconus, thus received more attention recently. This paper then reviews the recent advances on the effect of inflammation cytokines on pathogenesis of keratoconus. The motivation of this work is to provide important guidance and thoughts for the treatment of keratoconus.
4.Application of bilateral internal iliac artery balloon occlusion in cesarean section for dangerous placenta previa and placenta implantation

Objective To investigate the effect of bilateral internal iliac artery balloon occlusion in cesarean section for dangerous placenta previa and placenta implantation.Methods From January 2011 to December 2016,The clinical data of 15 cases of dangerous placenta previa and placenta implantation were retrospectively analyzed in the General Hospital of Huainan Oriental Hospital Group.All patients underwent internal iliac arterial intubation prior to cesarean section and into the balloon,placed the balloon in the bilateral internal iliac artery,and filled the balloon to temporarily block internal iliac arterial blood flow.The number of hysterectomy cases of cesarean sections were recorded.Results The amount of intraoperative hemorrhage was about 200-4 000mL,average 1 500mL.Intraoperative,postoperative red blood cell was 0-3 000mL,average 1 000mL,there were no maternal and fetal death and serious complications,2 cases in hysterectomy,the resection rate was 10.8%.Conclusion Bilateral internal iliac arterial balloon occlusion can effectively control the bleeding of the dangerous placenta previa during cesarean section and reduce the hysterectomy.The radiation dose is safe for the fetus.
5.Chiral separation of fluvastatin enantiomers with in vitro cellular method.

OBJECTIVETo establish a chiral separation method for determination of fluvastatin enantiomer with in vitro cellular model.
METHODSThe determination was performed on Chiralpak AD column (4.6 mm × 250 mm); and the phase consisted of hexane-isopropanol-trifluoroacetic acid (90:10:0.1) at a flow rate of 0.5 ml/min with UV detection of 239 nm.
RESULTThe standard curve was linear over the concentration range of 20 μmol/L-300 μmol/L (r² = 0.9993, r² = 0.9997). The recovery for this assay was (99.4 ± 0.8)%, precision for inter-assay and intra-assay was <10 %.
CONCLUSIONThe normal-phase HPLC chiral separation method was accurate and suitable for study on the stereoselectivity of fluvastatin with in vitro cellular model.

6.Dual-energy computed tomographic angiography of head and neck arteries with different contrast material doses in second generation dual-source computed tomography system.

OBJECTIVETo explore the feasibility of a dual-energy computed tomographic angiography (DECTA) protocol using test-bolus injection with reduction of contrast material (CM) dose in second generation dual-source CT system.
METHODSTotally 57 consecutive patients underwent CT angiography scan covering the cervical and cerebral arteries. CT was performed with second generation dual-source CT system. The time to peak (T) using a test-bolus injection was calculated. The patients were divided into three groups (A, B, and C) with different CM doses (40, 45, and 50 ml) and different delay time points [ (T+1) , (T+1) , and (T+2) s] . All the patients were followed by a 48 ml saline flush. Arterial enhancements were quantified by measuring attenuation values of the aortic arch, bifurcation of common carotid artery, contralateral internal jugular vein of the CM injection, superior vein cava, proximal middle cerebral artery, basilar artery, and straight sinus on source images. Visualizations of intracranial artery and ipsilateral venous effect of the CM injection were rated on a four-point grading scale on CTA images for qualitative assessment.
RESULTSAlthough the attenuation of internal jugular vein and straight sinus were significantly lower in group A than in groups B and C (P<0.05) , the attenuation of aortic arch, superior vein cava, common carotid artery, middle cerebral artery, and basilar artery vessels showed no significant differences among these three groups. The scores of the visualizations of intracranial artery and ipsilateral venous effect of the CM injection were also not significantly different among these three groups.
CONCLUSIONBased on the delay time calculated by a test-bolus injection, a reduced-dose contrast material may provide an equal degree of arterial attenuation and a lower attenuation of vein for dual-energy CTA covering the craniocervical region in second generation dual-source CT system.
