Cemental tear is a rare and indetectable condition unless obvious clinical signs present with the involvement of surrounding periodontal and periapical tissues. Due to its clinical manifestations similar to common dental issues, such as vertical root fracture, primary endodontic diseases, and periodontal diseases, as well as the low awareness of cemental tear for clinicians, misdiagnosis often occurs. The critical principle for cemental tear treatment is to remove torn fragments, and overlooking fragments leads to futile therapy, which could deteriorate the conditions of the affected teeth. Therefore, accurate diagnosis and subsequent appropriate interventions are vital for managing cemental tear. Novel diagnostic tools, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), microscopes, and enamel matrix derivatives, have improved early detection and management, enhancing tooth retention. The implementation of standardized diagnostic criteria and treatment protocols, combined with improved clinical awareness among dental professionals, serves to mitigate risks of diagnostic errors and suboptimal therapeutic interventions. This expert consensus reviewed the epidemiology, pathogenesis, potential predisposing factors, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of cemental tear, aiming to provide a clinical guideline and facilitate clinicians to have a better understanding of cemental tear.

Objective:To explore the composition and trajectory of symptom clusters during perioperative period in middle-aged and elderly patients with gynecological malignant tumors, so as to provide reference for formulating symptom management programs.Methods:From December 2022 to September 2023, convenience sampling was used to select 145 middle-aged and elderly patients with gynecological malignant tumors who underwent surgical treatment at the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University as the study subject. A longitudinal survey was conducted on patients at four time points [1 day before surgery (T1), 1 day after surgery (T2), 3 days after surgery (T3), and 7 days after surgery (T4, before discharge) ] using the General Information Questionnaire and the Chinese version of the Anderson Symptom Inventory-Perioperative Module in Patients with Gynecological Cancer.Results:A total of 145 questionnaires were distributed, and 130 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective response rate of 89.66% (130/145). Exploratory factor analysis extracted six symptom clusters, namely perimenopausal symptom cluster, psychological symptom cluster, fatigue-pain symptom cluster, gastrointestinal symptom cluster, energy deficiency symptom cluster, and surgery related symptom cluster. Perimenopausal symptom group was a specific symptom cluster of gynecological malignant tumor patients, existing at T1. Psychological symptom cluster persisted during the patient's perioperative period. Fatigue-pain symptom cluster and surgery related symptom cluster existed at T2 to T4. Gastrointestinal symptom cluster and energy deficiency symptom cluster existed at T2 and T3.Conclusions:Middle aged and elderly patients with gynecological malignant tumors have various symptoms during the perioperative period, and the symptoms can cluster at different time points. The number of symptom clusters increases with the progress of surgical treatment, while the core symptoms within the cluster remain relatively stable over time. Clinical nursing staff should pay attention to the dynamic changes in the patient's perioperative symptom cluster, adopt efficient and targeted management measures based on the trajectory of symptom clusters, and reduce the burden of perioperative symptoms on patients.

Patients with spinal cord injury is associated with seriously affected gastrointestinal function and imbalance of intestinal flora, leading to increased inflammation of spinal cord nerves. With the proposal of the theory of gut microbiota-gut-brain axis in recent years, the regulatory role of gut microbiota in the central nervous system and gastrointestinal system has gradually attracted attention. Although a considerable number of studies have focused on the effects of intestinal flora characteristics on spinal cord nerve function repair in patients with spinal cord injury from different perspectives, there are numerous research models for treating spinal cord injury with intestinal flora as intervention targets and remains a lack of unified and effective clinical treatment methods. In this paper, the authors review the research progress in characteristics of intestinal microflora and intestinal microflora-targeted therapeutic methods in patients with spinal cord injury, hoping to provide a reference for the clinical treatment and basic research of spinal cord injury.

{L-End}Objective To analyze the correlation between occupational burnout and sleep quality among steelworkers. {L-End}Methods A total of 11 491 steelworkers from a large steel enterprise in Gansu Province were selected as the research subjects using convenient sampling method. The Burnout Questionnaire and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale were used to investigate their occupational burnout and sleep quality. Hierarchical regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of occupational burnout on the sleep quality. {L-End}Results The detection rate of occupational burnout and sleep disorder were 50.4% and 39.0%, respectively. There was a positive correlation between the level of occupational burnout and the total score of sleep quality (Spearman correlation coefficient=0.454, P<0.05). The results of hierarchical regression analysis, adjusting for confounding factors such as gender, age, marital status, education level, alcohol consumption, exercise, weekly working hours, seniority, work shift, noise exposure, dust exposure, and high-temperature work, showed that the score of occupational burnout was positively related to the score of sleep quality(P<0.01), explaining 16.0% of the variance in the score of sleep quality among these steelworkers. {L-End}Conclusion The detection rate of occupational burnout and sleep disorders are relatively high among the steelworkers in this enterprise. Higher levels of occupational burnout are associated with poorer sleep quality. Alleviating occupational burnout among steelworkers may contribute to improving their sleep quality.

In order to identify genes involved in floral transition and development of the orchid species, a full-length APETALA1/FRUITFULL-like (AP1/FUL-like) MADS box cDNA was cloned from Cymbidium faberi (C. faberi) sepals and designated as C. faberi APETALA1-like (CfAP11], JQ031272.1). The deduced amino acid sequence of CfAP11 shared 84% homology with a member of the AP1/FUL-like group of MADS box genes (AY927238.1, Dendrobium thyrsiflorum FUL-like MADS box protein 3 mRNA). Phylogenetic analysis shows that CfAP11 belonged to the AP1/FUL transcription factor subfamily. Bioinformatics analysis shows that the deduced protein had a MADS domain and a relatively conservative K region. The secondary structure of CfAP11 mainly consisted of alpha helices (58.97%), and the three-dimensional structure of the protein was similar to that of homologues in Roza hybrida, Oryza sativa and Narcissus tazetta. Real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) results reveal low levels of its mRNA in roots, lower levels in leaves during reproductive period than vegetative period, and higher levels in pedicels at full-blossom stage than at bud stage. These results suggest that CfAP11 is involved in floral induction and floral development. Additionally, we observed higher levels of CfAP11 expression in pedicels and ovaries than in other tissues during full-blossom stage, which suggests that CfAP11 may also be involved in fruit formation in certain mechanism.

Objective To explore the effect of modified type B lynch uterine suture combined with calcium in the prevention and treatment for uterine atony postpartum hemorrhage.Methods 63 pregnant women with postpartum hemorrhage risk factors which would be underwent cesarean delivery were randomly divided into the study group (32 cases) and the control group (31 cases).The study group was given intravenous calcium gluconate (10ml) 10 min before the operation,and modified type B lynch uterine suture in the operation.The control group was only given the same dose of oxytocin of the study group.Results The amount of bleeding intraoperation and 24h after the operation was (182.6 ± 47.7) ml and (214.1 ± 63.8) ml,respectively,the time of intraoperative uterine contractions was (3.8 ± 1.3)min,the degree of hemoglobin decreased 24h after the operation was (9.2 ±2.0) min in the study group,which were less than those of the control group(t =7.26,2.97,2.39,4.01,all P ＜ 0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in puerperal morbidity and neonatal asphyxia between the two groups (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The modified type B lynch uterine suture combined with calcium could effectively prevent and treat uterine atony postpartum hemorrhage,and could not increase the rate of neonatal asphyxia and puerperal morbidity.

Twenty five patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) were classified as mild, moderate and severe grade according to apnea hyponea index and lowest oxyhemoglobin saturation.Lower limbs were examined with ultrasonography, blood routine and D-dimer levels were measured in all patients.The results revealed an increased incidence of deep vein thrombosis with the extent of obstructive sleep apnea.There was no deep vein thrombosis in patients with mild-grade OSAHS, while there were 2 in moderate and 3 in severe patients.The blood D-dimer levels were (498 ± 22) pg/L, (659 ±43 ) μg/L, ( 1528 ± 181 ) μg/L in mild, moderate and severe patients, respectively.The hemoglobin levels were (150 ± 8) g/L, ( 183 ± 15) g/L and (261 ± 26) g/L in mild, moderate and severe patients,respectively.There may be some association of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome with deep vein thrombosis.

Objective To investigate association between human leukocyte antigen DQB1 (HLADQB1 ) gene polymorphisms and bronchial asthma among Mongolian and Han nationalities. Methods Sequence-specific primer polymerase chain reaction (PCR-SSP) was used to detect frequencies of HLA DQB1 genotypes and alleles in 50 cases of Han and 68 Mongolian asthmatic patients, and 50 Han and 54 Mongolian healthy controls, respectively. Difference in gene frequencies between the two nationalities was estimated by odds ratio (OR) and chi-square test. Results Frequency of the HLA-DQB1 0602 allele was significantly higher in Han patients with bronchial asthma than that in healthy Han nationality (OR = 6.163,P ＜0.01 ). Frequency of the HLA-DQB1 0603/0608 allele decreased in Mongolian asthmatic patients, as compared to that in healthy Mongolians ( OR = 0.199, P ＜ 0.05 ). Frequency of the HLA-DQB1 0301/4 allele was significantly higher in Mongolian asthmatic patients as compared to that in healthy Mongolians ( OR =2.074,P ＜0.05). Frequency of the HLA-DQB1 0301/4 allele was significantly higher in Mongolian than that in Han asthmatic patients ( OR = 2.482 ,P =0.05). Frequency of the HLA- DQB1 0602 allele was significantly higher in healthy Mongolians than that in healthy Han nationality ( OR = 3.341, P ＜ 0.05 ), in contrast, frequency of the HLA-DQB1 0402 allele was significantly lower in healthy Mongolians than that in healthy Han nationality ( OR = 0.209, P ＜ 0.05 ). Conclusions The HLA-DQB1 0603/0608 allele is possibly a protective gene and the HLA-DQB1 0301/4 allele a susceptible gene for bronchial asthma in Mongolians, and the HLA-DQB1 0602 allele is possibly a susceptible gene for bronchial asthma in Han nationlity.

Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) is a unique minimal integrin-binding sequence found within several glycoprotein ligands and also in snake-venom disintegrins. Adinbitor, a protein with 73 amino acid residues including 12 cysteins and an RGD motif, was cloned from Gloydius blomhoffi brevicaudus in my laboratory. As a new member of disintegrin family, adinbitor can inhibit both human platelet aggregation induced by ADP and angiogenensis in vivo and in vitro, the typical characters of disintegrin family. To separate the effect of inhibiting platelet aggregation from that of inhibiting angiogenensis, the motif KGD was introduced into adinbitor cDNA to replace RGD by site-directed and PCR-based mutagenesis. The recombinant protein (recombinant adinbitor (KGD)) was expressed in E. coli BL21 and purified through the His· Bind affinity chromatography. Recombinant adinbitor (KGD) could inhibit ADP-induced platelet aggregation with IC50 value of 85 nmol/L. Considerably, it was a more effective inhibitor on platelet aggregation than recombinant adinbitor (RGD), which has an IC50 of 150 nmol/L. Interestingly, recombinant adinbitor (KGD) has no potency in inhibiting angiogenesis in vivo compared with recombinant adinbitor (RGD). These findings showed that KGD containing adinbitor was more suitable for inhibiting ADP-induced human platelet aggregation as a potential and specific inhibitor of human platelet aggregation, which might have promising therapeutic potential as an antithrombotic agent.

Aim The present study was designed to investigate the growth inhibition and anti-angiogenesis of arsenic trioxide (As 2O 3) on B16 cells xenografts in C57BL/6J mice and observe the effects of As 2O 3 on cell proliferation, cell morphology, cell cycle and apoptosis in vitro. Methods Mice melanoma cell line B16 was transplanted into C57BL/6J mice. The weight of tumor and percent of tumor development were examined after As 2O 3 intraperitoneal administration. HE staining and immunohistochemistry for Ⅷ-R Ag were performed to detect the microvessel density in tumor tissues. CellTiter 96 Aqueous One was used to determine the cell proliferation. Giemsa and Feulgen staining were used to observe the morphological changes of the cells. Cell cycle and apoptosis were analyzed by flow cytometry (FCM). Results As 2O 3 significantly inhibited the tumor growth in vivo, with an inhibitory rate of 81.61%. The microvessel density in tumor tissues was obviously reduced after treated with As 2O 3.
