Objective To systematically evaluate the control effects of different concentrations of atropine on myopia in Chinese children.Methods PubMed,Embase,The Cochrane Library,Web of Science,CBM,WanFang Data,VIP and CNKI databases were retrieved to collect the studies on children's myopia control by atropine from the establishment of the database to April 2023.After the literature screening,data extraction and bias risk valuation were carried out by 2 research-ers,a Meta-analysis was performed via RevMan 5.4 software.Results A total of 32 studies were included,comparing the effects of 7 different concentrations of atropine and placebo.The Meta-analysis showed that compared with placebo,0.1 g·L-1 atropine had a significant impact on the change of spherical equivalent[MD=0.39,95％CI(0.26,0.52),P＜0.05],and significantly suppressed the axial length increment[MD=-0.18,95％CI(-0.24,-0.12),P＜0.05].Among other concentrations,0.2g·L-1,0.5g·L-1 and 10 g·L-1 atropine had sound effects on myopia control.Conclusion Exist-ing evidence shows that compared to placebo,atropine at concentrations of0.1 g·L-1,0.2 g·L-1,0.5 g·L-1and 10 g·L-1 has better effects on controlling the spherical equivalent and axial length of children with myopia.Among them,at-ropine at the concentration of 0.1 g·L1 may have the best effect.

Objective To investigate the microbiota composition and diversity between autogenous and anautogenous Culex pipiens pallens, so as to provide insights into unraveling the pathogenesis of autogeny in Cx. pipiens pallens. Methods Autogenous and anautogenous adult Cx. pipiens pallens samples were collected at 25 ℃, and the hypervariable regions of the microbial 16S ribosomal RNA (16S rRNA) gene was sequenced on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 sequencing platform. The microbiota abundance and diversity were evaluated using the alpha diversity index, and the difference in the microbiota structure was examined using the beta diversity index. The microbiota with significant differences in the abundance between autogenous and anautogenous adult Cx. pipiens pallens samples was identified using the linear discriminant analysis effect size (LEfSe). Results The microbiota in autogenous and anautogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples belonged to 18 phyla, 28 classes, 70 orders, 113 families, and 170 genera, and the dominant phyla included Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, and so on. At the genus level, Wolbachia was a common dominant genus, and the relative abundance was (77.6 ± 11.3)% in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples and (47.5 ± 8.5)% in anautogenous mosquito samples, while Faecalibaculum (0.4% ± 0.1%), Dubosiella (0.5% ± 0.0%) and Massilia (0.5% ± 0.1%) were specific species in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples. Alpha diversity analysis showed that higher Chao1 index and ACE index in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples than in anautogenous samples (both P values > 0.05), and lower Shannon index (P > 0.05) and Simpson index (P < 0.05) in autogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples than in anautogenous samples. LEfSe analysis showed a total of 48 significantly different taxa between autogenous and anautogenous Cx. pipiens pallens samples (all P values < 0.05). Conclusion There is a significant difference in the microbiota diversity between autogenous and anautogenous Cx. pipiens pallens.

To describe and evaluate the clinical studies of postoperative pain sensitization caused by sleep deprivation through the evidence map system, understand the distribution of evidence in this field, and provide reference for subsequent evidence research.

Objective:Hepatic amyloidosis is a metabolic disease with a low incidence rate. However, because of its insidious onset, the rate of misdiagnosis is high, and it usually progresses to a late stage when it is diagnosed. This article analyzes the clinical features of hepatic amyloidosis by combining clinical pathology in order to improve the clinical diagnosis rate.Methods:Clinical and pathological data of 11 cases of hepatic amyloidosis diagnosed at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital from 2003 to 2017 were summarized and analyzed retrospectively.Results:The clinical manifestations of 11 cases mainly included abdominal discomfort (4/11), hepatomegaly (7/11), splenomegaly (5/11), fatigue (6/11), etc. Biochemical test results showed that most patients' alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, γ-glutamyl transferase, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, and total bile acids, accompanied by hypoalbuminemia were elevated, while some patients' 24-h urinary protein, creatinine, and blood urea nitrogen were elevated.Conclusion:All patients had slightly elevated aspartate transaminase levels (within 5 times the upper limit of normal), and 72% had slightly elevated alanine transaminase. Alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyl transferase levels were significantly raised in all cases, with the highest result for γ-glutamyl transferase being 51 times the upper limit of normal. Damage to the hepatocytes has an effect on the biliary system as well, leading to symptoms such as portal hypertension and hypoalbuminemia [(0.54~0.63) × upper limit of normal value, 9/11]. Amyloid deposits within the artery wall (54.5% of patients) and portal vein (36.4% of patients) were also indicative of vascular injury. A liver biopsy should be recommended for patients with unexplained elevated transaminases, bile duct enzymes, and portal hypertension in order to establish a definitive diagnosis.

Objective To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of European Five-dimensional Five-level Health Scale (EQ-5D-5L) for patients with Kaschin-Beck disease.Methods From May 2017 to September 2018,a total of 245 patients with Kaschin-Beck disease in Yongshou and Linyou counties,Shaanxi Province were interviewed face-to-face with the EQ-5D-5L.The health-related value score was used to calculate the overall health-related quality of life of patients with Kaschin-Beck disease.The higher the score,the better the overall health of the population,and vice versa (-0.391-1.000).The visual analogue system (VAS)score was used to calculate the individual health status,higher scores indicated that the health status of self-evaluation were better,and vice versa (0 to 100 points).Sixty-three patients were retested two weeks later.Evaluation was performed using internal consistency,test-retest reliability,structural validity and criterion validity.Results A total of 245 patients with Kaschin-Beck disease were investigated,including 127 males (51.8％) and 118 females (48.2％),aged (60.37 ± 7.10) years old.The medians and quartile ranges of EQ index and VAS of patients were 0.311 (0.504) and 42.5 (30.0) points,respectively.And the Cronbach coefficient of the five-dimensional score of the health description system was 0.828.The intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) of each dimension of the health description system was 0.571-0.719.EQ index and VAS score showed that the two had a relatively stable correlation (rs =0.522,P ＜ 0.05),and the ICCs of EQ index and VAS score were 0.754 and 0.570,respectively;the EQ-5D-5L validity calculated by "Therapeutic Efficacy on Kaschin-Beck Disease" (WS/T 79-2011) was between 0.375-0.647 (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The overall health status of the Kaschin-Beck disease patient population and the health status of the individual self-evaluation measured by EQ-5D-5L are poor.The reliability test and validity test prove that the EQ-5D-5L is applied to the health status of patients with Kaschin-Beck disease.The EQ-5D-5L has good reliability and validity.

Objective To investigate the protective effect of prenatal astaxanthin treatment against cognitive impairment in adult offspring induced by exposure to maternal seizures in utero.Methods Female adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups:control group,astaxanthin group,kindling group and kindling+astaxanthin group.Each rat was implanted with electrodes.Those in the kindling and kindling+astaxanthin groups were kindled once a day by electrical stimulation of the amygdala.All rats were allowed to mate after one week's amygdala kindling.Rats in the kindling and kindling+astaxanthin groups continued to be treated with electrical stimulation every 48 hours from gestational day 1 to 20,and those in the astaxanthin and kindling+astaxanthin groups were injected intraperitoneally with 30 mg/(kg · d) of astaxanthin simultaneously.Naturally delivered offspring were raised till 12 weeks of age.Morris water maze test was performed to assess the cognitive function of adult offspring.Changes in the morphology of hippocampus were observed with Nissal's staining and transmission electron microscope.Expression of cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein (CREB) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in adult offsprings' hippocampus tissues at protein and mRNA levels were determined using Western-blotting and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.Analysis of variance and LSD test were used as statistical methods.Results Morris water maze test showed that from the 3rd day to the 5th day,the kindling group had significantly longer escape latency [(36.33 ±7.85),(28.80± 8.41),(29.50± 11.72) s] than the control [(28.90±7.46),(17.59±9.12),(10.40±3.69) s] and kindling+astaxanthin groups [(28.30±5.75),(18.37±3.39),(15.23±6.63) s] (F=3.601,9.811 and 14.226,all P＜0.05).In probe trials,the kindling group had significantly fewer platform crossings as compared with the control and kindling+astaxanthin groups [(4.40± 1.71) vs (7.20± 1.62) and (6.50±1.84) times,F=6.586,P=0.001].The kindling group spent dramatically less time in the target quadrant than the control and kindling+astaxanthin groups [(27.35±7.63) vs (58.29± 10.48) and (40.41 ± 7.06) s,F=25.825,P＜0.001].Nissl staining showed that hippocampal neurons of offspring in the control group were normal,but there was hippocampal damage in the kindling group and the damage was more severe than that in the kindling+astaxanthin group.Electron microscope observation showed that neurons and synapses in the hippocampal CA1 area of offspring in the control group were normal.However,obvious damage to neurons and synapses was induced in the kindling group and that was worse than the damage induced in the kindling+astaxanthin group.Expression of CREB and BDNF protein in the kindling group (0.19±0.06and 0.32 ±0.04,respectively) were significantly lower than those in the control (0.81 ±0.11 and 0.93 ± 0.04,respectively) and kindling+astaxanthin groups (0.60± 0.07 and 0.80±0.06,respectively) (F were 34.015and 71.074,both P＜0.001).Moreover,the kindling group showed decreased expression of CREB and BDNF mRNA (0.48 ± 0.11 and 0.43± 0.08,respectively) as compared with the control (1.02± 0.65 and 0.99± 0.09,respectively) and kindling+astaxanthin groups (0.89±0.15 and 0.96±0.13,respectively) (F were 13.447 and 21.912,both P＜0.01).Conclusion Treatment with astaxanthin could ameliorate the cognitive impairment and pathological damage in hippocampus of adult offspring induced by exposure to maternal seizures in utero through regulating the CREB-BDNF signal pathway.

Objective To investigate the density seasonal fluctuation and insecticide resistance of Anopheles sinensis in the Taibai Lake area and to provide a scientific basis for formulation of Anopheles sinensis control strategy.Methods The surveillance was carried out from June to October in 2013-2016.The adult mosquito density was monitored using human bait trapping method.WHO bioassay method was used to measure the sensibility of mosquitoes to insecticides.Results In 2013-2016,totally 2 318 Anopheles sinensis were captured,the Anopheles sinensis peaked in late July till early August,which were 67-127,317-386,77-89,107-139,respectively.Anopheles sinensis showed high resistance to dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane,malathion,and initial resistance to propoxur and deltamethrin (mortality ratio:38.10％,41.82％,86.11％,83.02％).Conclusions The Taibai Lake area has a diverse Anopheles sinensis population,its seasonal fluctuations and insecticide resistance monitoring can provide effective guidance for malaria control.In order to prevent the development of resistance to the insecticides,integrated management measures should be adopted in the future.

Objective To investigate the expression of miRNA-16 in peripheral blood monouclear cells (PBMC)from systemic lupus erythematosus( SLE)patients. Methods Sixteen SLE patients who meet the diagnostic criteria of SLE revised in 1997 American rheumatology and 12 healthy individuals were selected as our subjects. Their peripheral blood were sampled. Total RNAs were extracted and purified. The level of miRNA-16 was determined by quantitative reverse transcription PCR( qRT-PCR). U6 was used as housekeeping control. The amount of target miRNA was normalized relative to the amount of U6(ΔCt =ΔCt miRNA-ΔCtU6 ). Relative expression levels were expressed as 2-ΔCt . Results The expression level of miRNA-16 in the SLE patients was 919. 87 ± 715. 45,significantly higher than that in the healthy control group(413. 6 3 ± 330. 69;t= -2. 497,P﹤0. 05). And miRNA-16 expression in SLE active group was 1 298. 79 ± 803. 79,significantly higher than that in SLE stable group(540. 95 ± 350. 15;t= -2. 445,P﹤0. 05). The level of miRNA-16 was related with AnuA (r=0. 669,P=0. 005),ESR(r=0. 608,P=0. 012)and SLEDAI(r=0. 530,P=0. 035). Conclusion The expression of miRNA-16 is high in SLE patients and it is related with SLE activity.

Objective To investigate the existence of genetic divergence of sympatric populations of Anopheles sinensis of different feeding preferences based on the rDNA-ITS2 sequence differences. Methods A large number of wild anopheles popu-lations were trapped all night by man-baited net and calf-baited net that had been set up between high-density natural villages of An. sinensis populations and vector-breeding sites,from which two groups of An. sinensis were separated by morphological iden-tification and brought back to the lab for conventional breeding. A large closed greenhouse which temperature and humidity was appropriate was selected as research settings of mark-release-recapture methods by female mosquitoes ,in the center of which above An. sinensis populations baited by man and calf and respectively correspondingly marked by red and yellow phosphors were released in together,in each side of which An. sinensis were recaptured simultaneously by man-baited net and calf-baited net. An. sinensis populations trapped by man twice were brought back to the lab and bred with man-blood,correspondingly ones trapped by calf with calf-blood. Man-preferring and calf-preferring strains were screened respectively from An. sinensis which had been baited by man and calf by the mark-release-recapture methods after parent and F1 mosquitoes,and sequencing and aligning of both rDNA-ITS2 were conducted via PCR amplification. Results The recapture ratios of wild parental mosquitoes An. sinensis of man-preferring group by man-baited net and calf-baited net were 54.07%(339/627)and 45.93%(288/627)re-spectively,and ones of calf-preferring group by man-baited net and calf-baited net were 58.01%(409/705)and 41.99%(296/705)respectively. Two groups of parental mosquitoes trended towards selecting the original blood hosts in host-seeking prefer-ence(χ2=19.42,P<0.01). The recapture ratios of F1 mosquitoes An. sinensis of man-preferring group by man-baited net and calf-baited net were 63.43%(765/1 206)and 36.57%(441/1 206),and ones of calf-preferring group by man-baited net and calf-baited net were 68.22%(1 039/1 523)and 31.78%(484/1 523). Two groups of F1 mosquitoes had more significant characteris-tics of selecting the original blood hosts in host-seeking preference(χ2=271.69,P<0.01)and showed the genetic differentia-tion phenomenon,but the results of sequencing and aligning of the rDNA-ITS2 via PCR amplification showed no difference in base sequence between the two strains and both were 469 bp. Conclusions The genetic divergence based on the rDNA-ITS2 se-quence does not happen in An. sinensis sympatric populations of different feeding preferences.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the expression of interleukin-25 (IL-25) in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and its potential significance in pathogenesis. METHOD: IL-25 expression in blood was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-25 expression in tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry (LSAB method) from polyps (68 CRSwNP patients) and 55 inferior turbinate mucosa from patients with deviation of nasal septum served as control. Complete blood count and HE staining of blood and tissue eosinophil infiltration degree. RESULT: IL-25 expression in CRSwNP group were significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). IL-25 expression in local organizations was positively correlated with the number of eosinophil infiltration in CRSwNP group (r = 0.679, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION The expression of IL-25 in CRSwNP patients mutually reinforcing and might increase eosinophil infiltration and play an important role in the development of CRSwNP.
