[Objective]To summarize Associate Professor ZHOU Xiukou's clinical experience in treating perianal abscess in infants and young children with traditional Chinese medicine sitz bath.[Methods]Through outpatient follow-up study,collecting,organizing and analyzing relevant medical cases,and consulting related literature,this paper expounds professor ZHOU's clinical experience in treating perianal abscess in infants and young children from the aspects of pathogenesis understanding,characteristics of onset,therapeutic principles and methods,clinical medication,significance of compatibility,sitz bath methods and daily care.A verified case was attached for validation.[Results]Professor ZHOU believes that the core pathogenesis of perianal abscess in infants and young children is due to the inherent toxicity of the fetus,the deficiency of the spleen,and the downward flow of dampness and heat.The disease is often superficial,more common in males,and often accompanied by a history of diarrhea.He puts forward the treatment method of"elimination is precious",advocates the basic treatment principles of clearing away heat and detoxifying.Medications with functions of promoting blood circulation,dispelling wind,eliminating abscesses,and clearing heat and detoxifying are used to reduce the abscess toxins,allowing mild cases to dissipate without leaving any trace.He emphasizes the method of sitz bath and daily nursing with advantages of treating both superficial and root causes,simple and inexpensive drugs,and direct access to the lesion.In the case,the mother of the child had an unclean diet,coupled with the weakness of the spleen and stomach of the child,the internal accumulation of fetal toxin,and the syndrome was a clowhward flow of clampness and heat syndrome.The self-made prescription was added and subtracted,and the daily nursing was paid attention to.The surface and the root were treated at the same time,and the curative effect was definite.[Conclusion]Associate Professor ZHOU Xiukou has rich experience in the treatment of perianal abscess in infants and young children.Based on the basic treatment principles of clearing heat and detoxifying,resolving masses and eliminating carbuncles,the method of traditional Chinese medicine sitz bath effect is remarkable and has positive reference significance.
