Base on the transcriptome analysis and RT-PCR techniques,a pathogenesis-related protein 10 gene was isolated from Panax notoginseng root and named as PnPR10-2. Bioinformatics and phylogenetic trees analysis revealed that open reading frame (ORF) of PnPR10-2 was 465 bp in length,encoding 154 amino acids,containing one typical conserved domain of pathogenesis related protein Bet v I family, and showed high similarity with that from P. ginseng. The recombinant expressed plasmid pET32a(+)-PnPR10-2 was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21. The expression conditions were optimized and it could be expressed well in soluble and inclusion body protein. Purified PnPR10-2 recombinant protein from the supernatant of cells was used to analysis the pathogen resistance activity by paper method. The purified recombinant protein could inhibit typical root rot disease pathogen (Fusarium solani and Cylindrocarpon destructans）growth evidently, we conjecture that PnPR10-2 may participated in defense response of P. notoginseng resistance to root rot disease pathogen.

Objective To detect the association between cytochrome P450 2C8 ( CYP2C8 ) and CYP2C9 polymorphisms and the risk of Alzheimer′s disease ( AD ) in Chinese Han population.Methods A case-control study was carried out to compare the distribution of geno-types and genetic frequencies of CYP2C8 and CYP2C9 polymorphisms between Alzheimer′s disease ( n =206 ) and healthy volunteers ( n=256 ) .Genomic DNA was extracted from whole blood using DNA blood Kit.Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of -flight mass spectrometry ( MALDI-TOF-MS) .Matrix-assisted laser desorp-tion ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry ( MALDI-TOF-MS) was used to identify the polymorphisms of CYP2C8 and CYP2J2. Results There were no significant differences of CYP2C8 and CYP2C9 genotypes between the cases and control groups.The haplotype C-T of CYP2C8 associated with the AD group( P<0.001,OR=2.57,95%CI:1.97 -3.35 ) .Conclusion The haplotype C -T of CYP2C8 ( rs1058932, rs2275622 ) increased the risk of Alzheimer′s disease in Chinese Han population.

Asiaticoside is a compound extracted from traditional Chinese medicine Centella asiatica, and mainly used in wound healing and scar repair in clinical, with notable efficacy. However, its poor transdermal absorption and short action time restrict its wide application. In this experiment, the reserve-phase-extrusion-lyophilization method was conducted to prepare the lyophilized asiaticoside-loaded flexible nanoliposomes (LAFL). Its characteristics including electron microscope structure, particle size, Zeta potential, entrapment rate, drug-loading rate, stability and drug release were determined with the intelligent transdermal absorption instrument. LAFL were white spheroids, with pH, particle size and zeta potential of 7. 03, 70. 14 nm and - 36. 5 mV, respectively. The average entrapment rate of the 3 batch samples were 31. 43% , and the average asiaticoside content in 1 mg lyophilized simple was 0. 134 mg. The results indicated that LAFL have good physicochemical properties and pharmaceutical characteristics, with an improved transdermal performance.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the therapeutic effect of retained copper wires combined with pingyangmycin (PYM) injection for complicated cavernous venous malformation.

METHODSThe location of venous malformation was detected by physical examination and MRI. The copper wires in 0.2 mm width were used to puncture the lesion repeatedly and retained in the lesion to form a net. After that, 8 mg PYM was injected into the residue malformed veins. 8-10 days later, the copper wires were taken out and necrotic tissue was squeezed out. The wounds of punctual holes healed through dressing. The patients received postoperative MRI to evaluate the therapeutic effect.

RESULTSFrom Jan. 2002 to Dec. 2008, 45 cases were treated. The patients were followed up for 1-3 years. 51.1% (23/45) of the lesions shrinked markedly or even disappeared. 42.2% (19/45) of the lesions reduced. 6.67% (3/45) of the lesions didn't change. There was no complication like invasive infection.

CONCLUSIONSIt is very effective to treat complicated cavernous venous malformation with retained copper wires combined with pingyangmycin injection.

OBJECTIVETo identify epidemic status of murine typhus in Hongta areas of Yuxi city and to provide evidence for control and prevention of the disease.

METHODSSerologic survey was conducted among residents and rodents. Isolation of Rickettsia moseri was performed.

RESULTSThe overall infection rate among general population was 28.92% (96/332) with geometric meantiter (GMT) as 10.83 and there was no difference between males and females (26.71%, 43/161 vs. 30.99%, 53/171, P > 0.05). Significant differences were found between age groups (P < 0.05) with positive rates of 29.63% (8/27), 18.06% (13/72), 39.62% (42/106), 27.50% (22/80) and 23.40% (11/47) among age groups 0-6, 7-18, 19-39, 40-59 and over 60, respectively. The overall rate of infection in mouse was 44.95% (89/198) with GMT as 30.30. Five isolates of R. moseri from mouse specimen, three from fleas plus one case of murine typhus were diagnosed. Rattus norvegicus and Rattus flavipectus were the predominant species of rodent animals (99.49%, 197/198) and Xenopsylla cheopis was the major species of vector (74.26%, 303/408). Flea index and mouse density were 2.06 and 11.13% respectively.

CONCLUSIONHigh infection rates on R. moseri were demonstrated in rodents and residents as well as high risk of murine typhus outbreak might occur in these areas.

OBJECTIVETo study the newborn's Apgar score in 'one minute' and relevant factors.

METHODSOne year inpatient woman from a Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Anhui province were selected by cluster sampling method and newborn asphyxia situation was investigated using Apgar score and self-designed questionnaire.

RESULTSThe Apgar score in 'one minute' which marking 8 to 10, 4 to 7 and 0 to 3 were found in 1875 (73.78%), 426 (16.77%) and 240 infants (9.45%) respectively. The average Apgar score in 'one minute' and five minutes were (7.69 +/- 2.27) and (9.01 +/- 1.89) respectively, The Apgar score in 'one minute' was significantly correlated with that of five minutes (Pearson coefficient correlation r = 0.841, P = 0.00). Ordinal regression analysis revealed that parturient age (OR = 1.04), being farmer (OR = 2.22), parity (OR = 1.26), assistant vaginal delivery (OR = 4.93), caesarean section (OR = 1.95), pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome (OR = 1.42), albuminuria in gestational period (OR = 1.44), newborn being male (OR = 1.23), low birth weight (OR = 2.94), inborn abnormality (OR = 12.12), premature birth (OR = 1.22) and complications of delivery (OR = 5.04) were risk factors while the number of years under study (OR = 0.91), prenatal check-up (OR = 0.48), body length of newborn infant (OR = 0.88) and single birth (OR = 0.57) were protective factors.

CONCLUSIONApgar score in 'one minute' of newborn infant was affected by several factors as stated above. Health care program in earlier period toward community parturient should be strengthened in order to discover and control high risk factors of duration of pregnancy in earlier period.
