ObjectiveTo explore the coercive experience of involuntarily hospitalized adolescents with mental disorders during the admission process and hospitalization， providing references for formulating targeted nursing interventions. MethodsSemi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 involuntarily hospitalized adolescents with mental disorders selected from October to December 2023， and the themes were summarized and extracted by content analysis. ResultsA total of 3 themes and 10 sub-themes were extracted， which were used to elaborate the essential contents， causes， and improvement methods of coercive experience. These encompassed the multi-dimensional content of coercive experience （complex emotional experience， different physical sensations， and contradictory cognitive evaluation）， the multi-faceted causes of coercive experience （insufficient personal preparation， inadequate parental communication， and strict medical management system）， as well as the phased improvement of coercive experience （adequate communication before hospitalization， patient notification before coercive intervention， respecting for demands during coercive intervention， and comforting explanation after coercive intervention）. ConclusionThe essential content of the coercive experience of involuntarily hospitalized adolescents with mental disorders is complex and has various causes， which require cooperation from multiple parties to improve. Therefore， parents should respect the expression of their children’s self-will， and medical staff should respect patients’ autonomy， establishing a protection-constrained doctor-patient relationship model and collaborating to reduce the use of coercive interventions， to improve the overall medical satisfaction of adolescents with mental disorders.

Abstract The global prevalence of non-suicidal self-harm (NSSI) among adolescents is becoming increasingly severe. Traditional mental health services are struggling to meet the growing social demand due to limited resource allocation and service accessibility. The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology provides a new technological path. The article systematically reviews the research progress of AI technology in adolescent NSSI, demonstrating key technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning in predicting NSSI risk prediction, emotion recognition and online intervention for adolescents. However, challenges remain, including algorithm bias, data privacy protection, model interpretability and ethical decision making. Future research should focus on multi disciplinary collaborative cooperation based on artificial intelligence to build a safe, effective and sustainable digital psychological intervention system, so as to provide innovative strategies and technical support for the early warning and intervention of NSSI behavior in adolescents.

Objective To investigate the impact of metabolic labeling on Porphyromonas gingivalis(Pg)and com-pare the imaging effects of two fluorescent probes.Methods This study was reviewed by the unit Ethics Committee and was approved by the Experimental Animal Welfare Ethics Branch of the Unit Experimental Biomedical Ethics Com-mittee.Pg integrated N-azidoacetylgalactosamine(Ac4GalNAz)via a bioorthogonal reaction and was labeled with Cy5-DBCO or Cy7-DBCO via a click chemistry reaction.The bacteria were divided into Pg group(control,not fluorescently labeled),Cy5-Pg group(tagged by Cy5-DBCO),and Cy7-Pg group(tagged by Cy7-DBCO).A live/dead staining kit was applied to test the viability of Pg,Cy5-Pg,and Cy7-Pg.The mRNA levels of interleukin-6(IL-6)and IL-8 and cell pro-liferation were examined in human gingival fibroblasts(HGFs)after the challenge of Cy5-Pg,Cy7-Pg,or Pg.To investi-gate the stability of metabolic labeling,Cy5-Pg or Cy7-Pg was cocultured with Escherichia coli(E.coli).Cy5-Pg and Cy7-Pg signal intensity with serial dilutions were examined using an in vivo imaging system(IVIS).Finally,C57BL/6J mice were orally administered Cy5-Pg or Cy7-Pg for IVIS detection,and the signal-to-background ratios were calculated.Results Metabolic labeling could be applied to label live Pg in vitro.The optimal labeling concentrations for Cy5 and Cy7 were 20 μmol/L and 30 μmol/L,respectively.The area ratios of live to dead bacteria were approximately 2.0 in the three groups(F=0.318,P＞0.05).After a 6-h challenge with Cy5-Pg,Cy7-Pg,or Pg,the mRNA levels of HGFs in-creased by 7.86-,7.46-,and 6.56-fold for IL-6,respectively(F=40.886,P＜0.001)and 12.43-,13.03-,and 13.71-fold for IL-8(F=18.781,P＜0.01),were spectively,compared to that of the Ctrl group,which was not challenged by bacte-ria,where no significant differences were observed among the three groups(P＞0.05).HGFs were further challenged by Cy5-Pg,Cy7-Pg,or Pg at different MOIs,and cell proliferation was significantly inhibited(MOI=104∶1,F=153.52,P＜0.001;MOI=105∶1,F=331.21,P＜0.001;MOI=106∶1,F=533.65,P＜0.001),with no significant differences among the three groups(P＞0.05).Within 24 h of co-culturing Cy5-Pg or Cy7-Pg with E.coli,minimal E.coli was de-tected.The intensities of Cy5 and Cy7 remained stable for 3 h.Additionally,the fluorescence signal intensities of Cy5 and Cy7 were linearly correlated with the concentration(R2=0.97).After oral gavage of Cy5-Pg or Cy7-Pg in mice for the abdominal region at 1 h and 3 h,the signal-to-background ratios of Cy7-Pg were approximately 4.24-fold(t=6.893,P＜0.01)and 3.77-fold(t=4.407,P＜0.05)higher,respectively,than those of Cy5-Pg.For the isolated gastrointestinal tracts at 3 h,the signal-to-background ratio of Cy7-Pg was 5.19-fold higher than that of Cy5-Pg(t=4.418,P＜0.05).Conclusions Metabolic labeling did not significantly affect viability,immunomodulatory ability,and toxicity.The im-aging effect of Cy7 on IVIS was better than that of Cy5.Our study provided experimental evidence for the correlation be-tween periodontitis and overall health.

Currently, the application rate of virtual reality technology in the fields of medical education and medical treatment is relatively low. In this study, based on the structure of the human stomach, virtual reality technology, sensing technology, big data technology, and cloud computing technology were integrated. A new form of medical education was established to include the online website platform for data storage and analysis and the offline VR glasses for the physical operation. Through the use of 3d Max technology, Unity3D technology, and C# language, we constructed a three-dimensional model of the human stomach to present the stomach in three dimensions. This enables the users to immerse in it to achieve true human-computer interactive learning. This study updates the concept of medical education, effectively improves the quality and efficiency of medical education, and facilitates the development of surgical programs and reduction in the risk of surgery, as well as provides experimental materials for scientific research. In the future, it can be further developed to include the three-dimensional structures of the circulatory system and other major systems in the human body.

Purpose/Significance The scoping review summarizes the application of large language models in clinical practice,and provides references for their promotion.Method/Process PubMed,Embase,Wanfang and CNKI databases are searched to screen the lit-erature related to the application of large language models in clinical practice,and the content of the included literature is extracted,sum-marized and analyzed.Result/Conclusion Large language models have application value in providing treatment suggestions,assisting disease diagnosis,health education,analyzing text image data,etc.However,their performance in answer accuracy and individualization is not satisfactory.In general,large language models show significant potential in clinical practice,but necessary measures must be taken to control the application risks and confirm the scope of application.

Objective:To understand the attitudes toward sexual health education and its correlates among community-based older adults in Shanghai, China.Methods:From June 2020 to December 2022, a cross-sectional survey was conducted among community residents aged ≥50 in Shanghai through multi-stage sampling. The estimated sample size was 735. The questionnaire included sociodemographic characteristics, health characteristics, and history of sexual health education. The multivariable logistic regression model was used to assess the correlates of attitudes toward sexual health education among community-based older adults.Results:A total of 824 participants (489 males and 335 females) with age of (65.1±8.1) years were included, whose main age distribution was 60-69 years (45.3%). The prevalence of supporting sexual health education among older adults was 49.4% (45.2% of men and 55.5% of women). Males (a OR=0.61, 95% CI: 0.44-0.83), aged 70 years and older (a OR=0.62, 95% CI: 0.40-0.94), urban residents (a OR= 2.54, 95% CI: 1.81-3.58), self-reported very good or excellent health status (a OR=1.64,95% CI: 1.04-2.58), having depressive symptoms (a OR=0.37,95% CI: 0.15-0.85), and having a history of sexual health education (a OR=8.64 ,95% CI: 4.62-17.70) were associated with their attitude toward sexual health education. Conclusions:The proportion of community-based older adults in Shanghai who support sexual health education was not high. Their attitudes toward sexual health education were associated with their self-reported health status, depressive symptoms, and history of sex education. Health professionals and institutions should focus on community-based older adults with key characteristics and tailor interventions to promote the willingness to receive sexual health education among older adults in China and to promote the popularity of sexual health education in this population.

Objective:To understand the sexually active status among community-based older adults aged ≥50 years in Tianjin, China, and to explore the potential correlates.Methods:A cross-sectional survey using multistage sampling among community-based older adults aged ≥50 was conducted between June 2020 and December 2022. The estimated sample size was 735. The survey collected questionnaire information through face-to-face interviews with investigators, including sociodemographic, health, and sexual lifestyle characteristics. The multivariable logistic regression model was used to assess correlates of sexually active status.Results:A total of 776 study participants (510 males and 266 females) were included, whose major age distribution was 50-59 years (45.9%). The overall sexual activity prevalence of the participants was 45.6%. Older age (60-69: a OR=0.67, 95% CI: 0.45-0.99; ≥70: a OR=0.12, 95% CI: 0.07-0.21), being male (a OR=1.93, 95% CI: 1.32-2.82), living in urban area (a OR=0.18, 95% CI: 0.12-0.28), living with spouse/married (a OR=2.80, 95% CI: 1.41-5.58), living alone (a OR=0.51, 95% CI: 0.27-0.96), having difficulty climbing stairs or walking (a OR=0.55, 95% CI: 0.31-0.97), having chronic diseases (one chronic disease: a OR=0.55, 95% CI: 0.36-0.85; two or more chronic diseases: a OR=0.53, 95% CI: 0.33-0.84) were associated with sexually active status among older adults. Conclusions:Many community-based older adults remained sexually active. There was an association between physical health and sexually active status among community-based older adults. Incorporating sexual health services into healthcare services for community-based older adults could be advocated, with a concurrent emphasis on enhancing the awareness and competence of providing sexual health services among community-based healthcare workers.

Objective:To investigate the utilization of sexual health services among community-based older adults in Chongqing and explore its potential correlates.Methods:A cross-sectional survey using multistage sampling among community-based older adults aged ≥50 years was conducted in Chongqing between June 2020 and December 2022. A questionnaire including information on demographic characteristics, general health, sexual health status, and sexual health services utilization was collected. Sexual health and reproductive services utilization was defined as having ever been tested for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), or having had a male/gynecological reproductive health examination in the past year. Logistic regression was used to examine the correlates of the utilization of sexual health services.Results:A total of 794 community-based older adults participated in the study (482 were male, and 312 were female). The mean age was (62.8±8.2) years. The proportion of HIV testing was 18.0%, and the proportion of reproductive health examination was 10.1% among community-based older adults. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the age group of 60-69 years (a OR=0.37, 95% CI: 0.18-0.76), female (a OR=11.34, 95% CI: 5.71-22.52), monthly income ≥5 000 yuan (a OR=3.05, 95% CI: 1.01-9.27), being sexual activity (a OR=4.99, 95% CI: 2.23-11.15) was significantly associated with had a reproductive health examination in the past year. Conclusions:The proportion of sexual health services utilization among older adults was low. Older sexual health education should be further strengthened, the close relationship between older adults should be correctly guided and dealt with, and the sexual health services suitable for the older population should be formulated.

Objective:To understand the current status of condom use and its correlates among community-based older adults in Chongqing, China.Methods:Cross-sectional study based on a multistage sampling method was conducted in Chongqing from June 2020 to December 2022. The estimated sample size was 735. Through face-to-face interviews, the investigators collected the sociodemographic characteristics, sexual behavior characteristics, awareness of AIDS prevention knowledge, etc. A multivariable logistic regression model was used to explore the correlates of condom use during the last sexual behavior among the participants. Results:A total of 761 participants were included in this study, with 476 males and 285 females, whose average age was (63.8±8.2) years old, mainly in the age group of 60-69 years (44.5%). Among the participants, the rate of condom use during the last sexual behavior was 9.7%. The multivariable logistic regression analysis indicated that correlates of condom use during the last sexual behavior included urban household registration (a OR=2.34, 95% CI: 1.12-4.89), monthly income of 1 000-4 999 Yuan, and 5 000 Yuan and above (a OR=4.49, 95% CI: 1.31-15.41; a OR=16.33, 95% CI: 4.30-62.00), self-assessed sexual behavior risk as very risky/relatively risky (a OR=3.97, 95% CI: 1.40-11.31), awareness of AIDS prevention knowledge (a OR=0.36, 95% CI: 0.21-0.62). Conclusions:The rate of condom use among community-based older adults in Chongqing is low. Comprehensive intervention measures should be taken in combination with the characteristics and needs of community-based older adults to improve awareness of AIDS prevention knowledge and perception of AIDS risk and promote condom use among this population.
