ObjectiveTo analyze the prevalence and influencing factors of overweight and obesity among primary school students in a community of Fengxian District, Shanghai, and to provide references for formulating prevention and control strategies against overweight and obesity. MethodsData on height and weight of all primary school students in a community in Fengxian District, Shanghai, in 2023 were obtained by physical examination, and 1 759 primary school students were included according to the entry criteria. Overweight and obesity were determined using body mass index (BMI). Additionally, a questionnaire survey was performed to 1 045 students to collect their demographic characteristics, dietary behaviors, dietary habits, sleep and physical activity information. Chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of overweight and obesity. ResultsIn 2023, among the 1 759 primary school students in the community in Fengxian District, 923 (52.47%) were male and 836 (47.53%) were female, with an overweight/obesity detection rate of 28.08%. The detection rate of overweight and obesity was 33.37% in males and 22.25% in females, which was significantly higher in males than that in females (χ2=26.845, P<0.001). Students aged 10‒12 years had a higher overweight/obesity detection rate (32.55%) than those aged 6‒<10 years (26.53%), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=10.925, P<0.001). Logistic regression analysis revealed that being female, with young age, parental education level of bachelor’s degree and above, a high global dietary recommendation healthy (GDR-healthy) score, preference for vegetables and sweeter home-cooked meals, and a slow eating speed were negatively correlated with overweight/obesity. Whereas, parental overweight and obesity, binge eating, and a faster eating pace than same-age, same-gender peers may be positively correlated with overweight/obesity. ConclusionThe detection rate of overweight and obesity among primary school students in the community in Fengxian District of Shanghai is higher than the national level. Gender, age, parental BMI, parental education level, dietary behaviors and habits are the main influencing factors of overweight/obesity among primary school students.

Solar proton event(SPE)is the major concern for astronauts in space radiation environment. With the coming of solar activity peak of the 25th solar cycle, the frequency of occurrence of solar proton event is increasing,as well as the intense of the events. Two SPEs of the most flux in March 23rd,2024 and June 8th,2003 and one with extra-large geomagnetic storm in May 10th,2004 were used to analysis the astronaut dose both in China Space Station orbit and lunar environment.First, radiation particle spectrum outside TianHe module was used to calculate astronauts dose inside the station, which was compared with the measured dose;second, the fitting result of proton spectrum from GOES16 satellite was used to calculate astronaut dose in lunar orbit, which was compared with the dose measured by CRaTER.Besides, the change of dose with extra shield of different material was calculated. The results indicate when no extra-large geomagnetic storm occurs, middle level SPE has no influence to astronaut in station, but an obvious dose increase happens in lunar environment, approaching ten or more mGy in skin. When shielded by Al or water of 10g/cm2,the astronaut's dose could be reduced to mGy or below.Extra energetic protons would observe on station orbit when an SPE with extra-large geomagnetic storm occurs, however when the amount of energetic protons is small, the extra dose is about several 1 nGy to 1 μGy in skin, which was negligible compared with daily dose. When a middle or above level SPE occurs, the influence to astronaut in LEO needs judge immediately, which is mostly based on the geomagnetic activity, but extra shield are needed for manned lunar exploration to ensure astronaut safety.

Objective Based on the multi-camera digital image correlation (DIC) method, the dynamic deformation characteristics of human hand during grasping were studied. Methods A continuous four-camera DIC system was established to measure surface strain of the skin on the back of the hand during grasping process, and then through the connection between skin, joints, bones and muscles, the regular pattern of muscle deformation could be known indirectly. Results Four grasping postures (medium cylinder, lateral pinch, index finger extension, power sphere) were measured. It was found that the increases of strain magnitude were different at different positions on back surface of the hand under different grasping postures, and the maximum principal strains were between 0.1 and 0.3. The movement characteristics for each muscle group of the hand under different grasping postures were obtained through analysis. Conclusions This method has the characteristics of non-contact, full field, intuitive results, which provides a new way for in vivo measurement of dynamic deformation during grasping.

Objective:To investigate the long-term effects of metabolically healthy obesity on the risks of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease events, and its mortality over a 23-year follow-up.Methods:Based on the results of an oral glucose tolerance test, there were 519 participants with normal glucose tolerance and 630 with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes enrolled in 1986 and then given to assess the long-term clinical outcomes during the 23-year follow-up in Daqing. Metabolically healthy obesity was defined as the overweight and obese individuals with no metabolic abnormalities (diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia). Finally, we identified 682 participants (350 with normal glucose tolerance and 332 with newly diagnosed diabetes). They were divided into five groups: 211 individuals with metabolically healthy normal weight (MHNW group), 58 with metabolically healthy overweight and obesity (MHO group), 81, 109, 223 were metabolically unhealthy overweight and obesity with hypertension (MUHO group), type 2 diabetes (MUDO group), hypertension and diabetes (MUHDO group). Incidences of type 2 diabetes, morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease were compared among these groups. Results:Over 23 years, instead of the morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease, the incidence of type 2 diabetes in MHO group was two times higher than in MHNW group ( 24.1%, 12.5/1 000 person years vs 10.9%, 5.2/1 000 person years, P=0.01), with an age, sex, and smoking history-adjusted hazard ratio ( HR) of 2.42 (95% CI 1.24-4.74, P=0.01). The morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease in the groups of overweight and obesity with metabolically unhealthy were higher than in MHNW group, and increased across the subjects with MUHO, MUDO, MUHDO ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with metabolically healthy normal weight participants, the metabolically healthy obese group was at increased risk of type 2 diabetes but not cardiovascular disease events and its mortality. On the contrary, the overweight and obese groups with metabolic abnormalities had significant higher incidence of type 2 diabetes, morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular diseases.
