Mitochondria play a crucial role as organelles, managing several physiological processes such as redox balance, cell metabolism, and energy synthesis. Initially, the assumption was that mitochondria primarily resided in the host cells and could exclusively transmit from oocytes to offspring by a mechanism known as vertical inheritance of mitochondria. Recent scholarly works, however, suggest that certain cell types transmit their mitochondria to other developmental cell types via a mechanism referred to as intercellular or horizontal mitochondrial transfer. This review details the process of which mitochondria are transferred across cells and explains the impact of mitochondrial transfer between cells on the efficacy and functionality of cancer cells in various cancer forms. Specifically, we review the role of mitochondria transfer in regulating cellular metabolism restoration, excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, proliferation, invasion, metastasis, mitophagy activation, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) inheritance, immune system modulation and therapeutic resistance in cancer. Additionally, we highlight the possibility of using intercellular mitochondria transfer as a therapeutic approach to treat cancer and enhance the efficacy of cancer treatments.

Hand osteoarthritis(HOA)is a disease of hand joint disorders, mainly manifested by hand interphalangeal joint and thumb carpal metacarpal joint pain, swelling, morning stiffness, limited movement, and even deformity, belonging to the category of TCM"bone arthralgia".The authors believe that HOA is more common with Taiyang Shaoyang disease, suitable for simultaneous treatment for Taiyang and Shaoyang,to operate the cardinal, regulate qi,blood, nutritive and defensive levels, dispel wind and cold, remove dampness and arthralgia, using modified Chaihu Guizhi Decoction, with confirmed efficacy.

Lumbar disc herniation is mainly manifested as lower back pain, numbness, weakness, and radiating pain in the lower limbs, which seriously affects the patients'work and quality of life.In clinical practice,it has been found that this disease always belongs to the category of deficiency in healthy qi and excess in pathogenic factors, often accompanied by kidney deficiency and cold dampness.Kidney deficiency is the root cause, while cold dampness is the symptoms. The two factors interact with each other and cause back pain. The treatment is based on dispersing cold and dampness, tonifying the kidneys and strengthening the waist, and the classic ancient formula Shenzhuo Powder is safe and effective.

Objective:
To explore the mechanism of the role of Salubrinal in regulating the radiation-induced apoptosis of oral cancer cells.
Methods:
Radioresistant KBR cell line was constructed (4 Gy per fraction, every 7-10 d for 4 times). The radiosensitivity of oral cancer cells after Salubrinal pretreatment was measured by colony formation assay. The expression levels of NF-κB-HIF-1α signaling pathway and apoptosis biomarker cleaved PARP in oral cancer cells were measured by Western blot. The apoptosis rate was detected by Annexin V, PI staining and flow cytometry.
Results:
Colony formation assay demonstrated that Salubrinal increased the radiosensitivity of oral cancer cells. The radiosensitization ratios of KB and KBR cells were 1.19 and 1.24. Western blot revealed that the activation of NF-κB-HIF-1α was time-dependent in the radiation-induced oral cancer cells, whereas Salubrinal inhibited the radiation-induced abnormal activation. In addition, Salubrinal increased the expression of apoptosis biomarker cleaved PARP and apoptosis index in radiation-induced oral cancer cells, whereas TNF-α, an activator of NF-κB, reversed the effect, suggesting that Salubrinal increased the apoptosis of radiation-induced oral cancer cells by suppressing the activation of NF-κB. Pretreatment of NF-κB inhibitor Bay11-7082 also increased the cell apoptosis. The expression levels of cleaved PARP of KB and KBR cell lines in the Bay11-7082+ IR group were 2.67±0.26 and 1.91±0.17, significantly higher compared with 2.1±0.16 and 1.44±0.15 in the IR group (both

Chronic liver diseases in children greatly affect their growth and development and quality of life in future. There are many causes of chronic liver diseases in children, and such causes, diet, and treatment guidance are closely associated with prognosis. This article discusses the guidance and follow-up of common chronic liver diseases in children, such as infantile cholestatic liver disease, chronic hepatitis B,hepatolenticular degeneration, and nonalcoholic fatter liver disease,in order to deepen the understanding of these diseases among patients, raise the awareness of follow-up in medical staff, and improve the cure rate of liver diseases with different causes and children's quality of life.
