Drug resistance is one of the key factors affecting the effectiveness of cancer treatment methods, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy. Its occurrence is related to factors such as mRNA expression and methylation within cancer cells. If drug resistance in patients can be accurately identified early, doctors can devise more effective treatment plans, which is of great significance for improving patients' survival rates and quality of life. Cancer drug resistance prediction based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology has emerged as a current research hotspot, demonstrating promising application prospects in guiding clinical individualized and precise medication for cancer patients. This review aims to comprehensively summarize the research progress in utilizing AI algorithms to analyze multi-omics data including genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics, radiomics, and histopathology, for predicting cancer drug resistance. It provides a detailed exposition of the processes involved in data processing and model construction, examines the current challenges faced in this field and future development directions, with the aim of better advancing the progress of precision medicine.

The HDAs (a subfamily of histone deacetylases), a class of Zn²⁺-dependent histone deacetylases, are highly homologous to the reduced potassium dependency 3 (RPD3) in yeast. HDAs extensively regulate chromosome stability, gene transcription, and protein activity by catalyzing the removal of acetyl group from histone and non-histone lysine residues. HDA-mediated deacetylation is essential for plant growth, development, and responses to abiotic stress. We review the research progress in HDAs regarding the discovery, structures, classification, deacetylation process, and roles in regulating plant responses to abiotic stress. Furthermore, this paper prospects the future research on HDAs, aiming to provide theoretical support for the research on epigenetic regulation mediated by HDAs.

Objective:To assess the efficacy of neoadjuvant treatment with PD-1 (programmed cell death protein 1) inhibitors combined with paclitaxel (albumin-conjugated) and cisplatin (TP regimen) for locally advanced hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and laryngeal organ function preservation.Methods:Data of 53 patients, including 51 males and 2 females, aged 38-70 years old, who were diagnosed with locally advanced hypopharyngeal squamous carcinoma confirmed by histology and enhanced CT at the Cancer Prevention and Control Center of Sun Yat-sen University during the initial treatment from January 1, 2019 to January 15, 2023, were retrospectively analyzed. All patients received neoadjuvant therapy with PD-1 inhibitors combined with albumin-bound paclitaxel (260 mg/m 2) and cisplatin (60 mg/m 2) for 3 to 4 cycles. The main outcome measures were larynx dysfunction-free survival (LDFS), overall survival (OS), and progression-free survival (PFS). Survival curves were plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method, and Cox multifactorial analysis was further performed if Cox univariate analysis was statistically significant. Results:The overall efficiency was 90.6% (48/53). The 1-year and 2-year LDFS rates were 83.8% (95% CI: 74.0% to 94.8%) and 50.3% (95% CI: 22.1% to 91.6%), the 1-year and 2-year OS rates were 95.2% (95% CI: 88.9% to 100.0%) and 58.2% (95% CI: 25.6% to 81.8%), and the 1-year and 2-year PFS rates were 83.9% (95% CI: 74.2% to 94.9%) and 53.5% (95% CI: 32.1% to 89.1%). Adverse events associated with the neoadjuvant therapy were mainly myelosuppression (45.3%), gastrointestinal reactions (37.7%) and hypothyroidism (20.8%). Conclusion:The neoadjuvant treatment of locally advanced hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma using PD-1 inhibitors combined with paclitaxel and cisplatin can provide with a higher survival rate with a improved laryngeal organ function preservation rate.

Background Occupational stress is an important public health problem in the military. At present, there are few studies about occupational stress of officers and soldiers of the armed forces in China, especially the effects of plateau related environmental factors on occupational stress. Objective To understand current status and identify influencing factors of occupational stress among officers and soldiers stationed in plateaus, and provide a scientific basis for managing occupational stress. Methods In April 2023, stratified cluster sampling was used to recruit troops by deployed altitudes ranging from 500 to 3000 m into two strata of low altitude (＜2500 m) and high altitude (≥2500 m) based on the medical definition of plateau. Two regimental units were randomly selected from each stratum respectively, and one battalion unit was randomly selected from each regimental unit with all the officers and soldiers. Four selected battalion units were surveyed with a total of 2284 officers and soldiers. We designed a general questionnaire to collect their basic information, and distributed effort-reward imbalance questionnaires to evaluate occupational stress. We used logistic regression to identify potential influencing factors of occupational stress. Results Positive occupational stress was reported in 508 plateau-stationed officers and soldiers, with a prevalence rate of 22.2%. The total effort-reward imbalance score and the dimensional scores of effort, reward, and overcommitment in M (P₂₅, P₇₅) were 0.9 (0.7, 1.0), 16.0 (13.0, 19.0), 36.0 (33.0, 39.0), and 18.0 (15.0, 19.0), respectively. There were significant differences in the positive rate of occupational stress by gender, age, military service length, marital status, only child or not, physical fitness condition, reporting underlying diseases or not, exercise frequency before conscription, psychological changes after entering the plateaus, and having altitude sickness or not (P <0.05). The results of logistic regression showed that being female (OR=1.532, 95%CI: 1.061, 2.213), only child (OR=1.281, 95%CI: 1.038, 1.581), and with underlying diseases (OR=1.950, 95%CI: 1.340, 2.839) were associated with a higher risk of occupational stress. While setting 0 to <3 years of military service as the control group, the risk of occupational stress was higher in subgroups of 3 to 9 years (OR=1.380, 95%CI: 1.113, 1.710) and ≥9 years (OR=2.141, 95%CI: 1.461, 3.137). The participants reporting nervousness or fear (OR=1.728, 95%CI: 1.133, 2.635) and agitation or euphoria (OR=1.380, 95%CI: 1.113, 1.710) had a higher risk of reporting occupational stress than those with no psychological changes after entering the plateaus. Meanwhile, those who had regular exercise (OR=0.670, 95%CI: 0.492, 0.913) before enlistment, good physical fitness condition (OR=0.572, 95%CI: 0.426, 0.767) and excellent physical fitness condition (OR=0.502, 95%CI: 0.366, 0.688) had a lower risk of occupational stress. Conclusion Officers and soldiers in plateaus generally report a high rate of occupational stress. Female, military service length ≥3 years, being only child, with underlying diseases, nervousness/ fear or agitation/ euphoria after entering plateaus are risk factors for elevated occupational stress in this group; while good or excellent physical fitness condition and frequent exercise before enlistment are protective factors for occupational stress. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the occupational stress problems in officers and soldiers stationed in plateaus and provide targeted intervention measures.

Objective:To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of the somatization of depressive emotions among college students, in order to provide a theoretical basis for the reform of mental health education and the formulation of operable mental health counseling for college students.Methods:Totally 297 college students from two institutions of higher education in Heilongjiang Province were selected by convenience sampling and investigated with the College Student Depressive Emotion Somatization Questionnaire, Attitudes Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help Scale-Short Form (ATSPPH-SF), and the Type D Personality Scale (DS14) .Results:The total score for the College Student Depressive Emotion Somatization Questionnaire among the 297 students was (28.49±8.07), and the total score for the ATSPPH-SF was (21.98±2.73). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the influencing factors for the somatization of depressive emotions in college students were professional psychological help-seeking attitudes and whether they had a Type D personality ( P < 0.05) . Conclusions:During university education, there should be a focus on students' personality traits and the positivity of their attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help in order to mitigate the occurrence of adverse psychological issues such as symptoms of depressive somatization.

Objective:To investigate the iodine nutritional status of pregnant women in Jilin Province and its correlation with the distribution characteristics of water iodine in external environment, providing a basis for scientific iodine supplementation and prevention of iodine deficiency disorders.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the iodine survey data of drinking water for residents in Jilin Province in 2017 and the monitoring data of iodine deficiency disorders in 2021. The water iodine, salt iodine, and urinary iodine level of pregnant women were analyzed.Results:In 8 866 water samples from 873 townships (streets, hereinafter referred to as townships) of 60 counties (cities, districts) in 9 cities (autonomous prefectures) throughout the province, the median of water iodine was 4.60 μg/L, ranging from 0.00 to 81.30 μg/L. Among them, there were 758 townships with a median water iodine < 10 μg/L, accounting for 86.83% (758/873); 107 townships with a water iodine of 10 - < 40 μg/L, accounting for 12.26% (107/873). The median salt iodine was 23.50 mg/kg in 6 000 household consumption salt samples. The iodized salt coverage rate, iodized salt qualified rate, and qualified iodized salt consumption rate were 99.50% (5 970/6 000), 97.30% (5 809/5 970), and 96.82% (5 809/6 000), respectively. The iodized salt coverage rate in 9 cities (autonomous prefectures) were > 95%, the iodized salt qualified rate and qualified iodized salt consumption rate were > 90%. The median urinary iodine in 6 000 pregnant women's urine samples was 169.05 μg/L. Except for Bayshan City, which was iodine-deficient, the other 8 cities (autonomous prefectures) were iodine-suitable. The results of correlation analysis showed that there was no correlation between the urinary iodine level of pregnant women and the distribution of water iodine in the external environmental at the municipal (autonomous prefecture) level ( r = 0.60, P = 0.089). Conclusions:Most townships in Jilin Province are iodine-deficient in the external environment, and there are no water-borne high iodine area. The iodized salt coverage rate, iodized salt qualified rate, and qualified iodized salt consumption rate all meet the national standards. The iodine nutrition of pregnant women is generally at a suitable level, but there are still some areas where pregnant women are iodine-deficient, and there is no correlation with the distribution of water iodine.

Morita therapy has been bom for more than 100 years.Inpatient Morita therapy is highly oper-able and easy to master.It can improve many refractory neuroses through four-stage treatment.But more neuroses are treated in outpatient clinics,and Morita therapy cannot be used in hospitalized patients.Therefore,the formula-tion of expert opinions on outpatient operations is particularly important.This paper is based on domestic and for-eign references,and after many discussions by domestic Morita therapy experts,and then drew up the first version of the expert opinions on operation of outpatient Morita therapy.Meanwhile the operation rule of Morita therapy in three stages of outpatient treatment was formulated:in the etiological analysis stage,under the theoretical guidance of Morita therapy,analyze the pathogenic factors,to improve treatment compliance and reduce resistance;during the operating stage,guide patients to engage in constructive and meaningful actions,realizing the achievement of letting nature take its course principle;in the cultivating character and enriching life stage,pay attention to positive infor-mation,expanding the scope and content of actions,improving the ability to adapt to complex life,and preventing recurrence caused by insufficient abilities.It will lay a foundation for the promotion of Morita therapy in domestic outpatient clinics,so that more patients with neurosis and other psychological diseases could receive characteristic Morita therapy treatment in outpatient clinics.

As adult stem cells, human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) have the potential for self-replication, renewal, and multidirection differentiation. Their unique biological function determines their wide clinical indications. Researchers can define the quality attributes of hMSCs according to clinical expectations. The quality study of hMSCs should consider microbiological safety, biological safety, cell biological properties, and biological effectiveness. Quality evaluation is a common physical, chemical, and biological evaluation method for hMSCs. Traditional product safety evaluation strategies cannot fully adapt to current technology and product usage characteristics. Researchers have developed new, effective evaluation methods based on current technology. In terms of product efficacy evaluation strategies, an efficacy evaluation system has been gradually established and standardized according to the intended clinical use and based on quality studies, which can enable researchers to evaluate hMSCs products more comprehensively at different stages and processes. In this paper, the progress of quality research and evaluation of human mesenchymal stem cells was reviewed to provide a reference for the utilization of stem cells in the field of regenerative medicine.

In 2016, a national one million general population cohort project was set up in China for the first time in "Precision Medicine Research" Key Project, National Key Research and Development Program of China, which consists of general population cohorts in seven areas in China. As one of the seven major areas in China, northeastern China has unique climate and specific dietary patterns, and population aging is serious in this area. And the burden of chronic and non-communicable diseases ranks tops in China. Therefore, it is of great significance to establish a large general population cohort in northeastern China to explore the area specific exposure factors related to pathogenesis and prognosis of chronic and non-communicable diseases, develop new prevention strategies to reduce the burden of the diseases and improve the population health in northeastern China. In July 2018, the general population cohort study in northeastern China was launched, the study includes questionnaire survey, health examination and blood, urine and stool sample collection and detection in recruited participants. By now, the cohort has covered all age groups, and the baseline data of 115 414 persons have been collected. This paper summarizes the design and practice of the general population cohort study in northeastern China to provide reference for related research in China.

Objective:To learn about the cognition of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) prevention knowledge among key population in the IDD area of Jilin Province, and to evaluate the effect of health education.Methods:From 2015 to 2019, 10 counties (cities, districts, hereinafter referred to as counties) in Jilin Province were selected as project counties every year. Public health education covered the entire project county. In each project county, 3 project townships were selected, and students of grades 4-6 were selected from the central primary schools of each project township for school health education. In each project township, 3 project villages were selected to carry out community health education. Before and after health education, 30 fifth-grade students were selected from the central primary school of each project township, and 15 housewives were selected from the vicinity of each primary school to conduct a questionnaire survey on IDD prevention knowledge.Results:After health education, the overall awareness rate of IDD prevention knowledge among primary school students and housewives in Jilin Province was 96.26% (13 324/13 842) and 96.40% (6 819/7 074), which was significantly higher than that before the intervention [65.36% (9 032/13 818) and 71.26% (5 039/7 071)], and the differences were statistically significant (χ 2 = 4 258.34, 1 647.92, P < 0.001), and the awareness rates of primary school students and housewives increased by 30.90% and 25.14%, respectively. Conclusion:Health education has significantly increased the awareness rate of IDD prevention knowledge among key populations in Jilin Province, and is an important measure to ensure the continuous elimination of IDD.
