1.Effect of early enteral nutrition intervention on postoperative recovery in colorectal cancer patients

Objective To investigate the effects of early enteral nutrition intervention on nutritional sta-tus and immune function in postoperative colorectal cancer patients.Methods Sixty-two patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer in this hospital from July 2022 to December 2024 were se-lected as subjects and divided into an observation group and a control group using the random number table method,with 31 cases in each group.The observation group received sequential administration of warm water,glucose,and whole-protein nutrition combined with probiotics starting 6 hours postoperatively.The control group was given parenteral nutrition as the main form,supplemented with enteral nutrition as needed.Nutri-tional indicators,immune indicators,intestinal function,and short-term clinical outcomes during hospitaliza-tion were compared between the two groups.Results On postoperative days 3 and 5,the levels of prealbumin(PA),albumin(ALB),transferrin(TRF),and retinol-binding protein(RBP)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).On postoperative day 5,the NRS2002 score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,on post-operative day 5 and week 2,the reduction in patient body weight was significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).On postoperative day 5,CD4,CD8,CD4/CD8 ratio,IgA,and IgG levels were significantly higher,while CRP level was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group,and the Karnofsky score was significantly higher(P<0.05).The first flatus and defecation times were significantly earlier in the observation group compared to the control group,and the length of hos-pital stay and cost were significantly reduced in the observation group,while patient satisfaction was signifi-cantly higher(P<0.05).Conclusion Early enteral nutrition intervention can effectively improve the nutri-tional status and immune function of patients following colorectal cancer surgery,promote the recovery of in-testinal function,and attenuate stress response.
2.Time trend analysis of ischemic stroke mortality in Tengzhou City of Shandong Province from 2013 to 2021

Objective Analyze the temporal trend of ischemic stroke(IS)mortality among the residents of Tengzhou City of Shandong Province during the period of hypertension control from 2013 to 2021.Methods On January 1,2013,Tengzhou City,Shandong Province,began its hypertension control program.The IS mortality rate was calculated using the mortality data from January 1,2013 to December 31,2021,and analyzed for its time trend among residents with different characteristics.The registered population was derived from the Public Security Bureau of Tengzhou City,Shandong Province,and the age and sex standardized mortality rate was calculated using the data of China's 7th population census in 2020.The Chi-square test was used to compare the differences in mortality rate,and Cochran-Armitage trend test was used to compare the time trend and age trend of mortality rate.Results The overall crude and standardized mortality rates of IS in Tengzhou showed a temporal trend from 2013 to 2021(Z values were 12.647,7.305,respectively;all P<0.001),and decreased by 23.77%and 30.99%(Z values were-7.393,-9.975,respectively;all P<0.001)respectively in 2021 compared with 2019.The crude mortality rate of IS in male increased by 13.27%in 2019 compared with 2017,while the crude and standardized mortality rate in female decreased by 16.39%and 19.49%in 2018 compared with 2017,respectively,with statistical significance(x2 values were 7.160,9.789,and 15.109,respectively;all P<0.05).Except the crude mortality rates in 2013 and 2015,the crude mortality rates and standardized mortality rates for males in other years were all higher than those for females,with statistically significant differences(x2 values:25.816-124.040,all P<0.001).The crude mortality rate for IS increased with age in all years(Z values:42.604-61.025,all P<0.001).The proportion of IS deaths among those aged≥65 was 85.85%.The overall crude mortality rates of the age group of male 45-54 years old showed a temporal trend from 2013 to 2021(Z=3.035,P<0.01),while females in the same age group did not show a temporal trend(P>0.05).The IS mortality rate in urban areas decreased from 62.61 per 100 000 in 2013 to 54.00 per 100 000 in 2021(Z=-2.097,P<0.05).The rural areas increased by 213.15%in 2019 compared with 2013 and decreased by 22.75%in 2021 compared with 2019(Z values were 19.074,-6.390,respectively;all P<0.001).Conclusions The IS mortality rate in Tengzhou City showed a decreasing trend in urban areas from 2013 to 2021,and a decreasing trend in rural areas after 2019.Compared to females,there is a trend of younger mortality among males in the age range of 45-54.Males and rural IS patients should be given special attention.
3.Volatile aromatic components and pyrolytic products in ethanol extracts of Cyclocarya paliurus by GC-MS

In order to investigate the feasibility of the extract from Cyclocarya paliurus as an additive in cigarettes,the volatile aromatic components were analyzed by gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry(GC-IMS),and C.paliurus extract was pyrolyzed to simulate cigarette smoking by TGA-GC/MS.The cracking products of C.paliurus were analyzed in a nitrogen environment,and the possible cracking mechanism of the products was reasonably speculated.The results showed that aldehydes,alcohols,and ketones were the primary volatile aroma components of the C.paliurus extract,comprising 62.28%of the total aroma components.The cracking products of C.paliurus extract varied greatly under different temperature conditions.A total of 79 compounds were identified at 200,360,and 440℃,among which 24 aromatic components were clearly identified as having significant effects on cigarette style,including aldehydes,ketones,alcohols,phenols,furans,benzene series,and other natural aromatic substances.Among them,phenols containing a high concentration are mainly formed by compounds containing the structure of guaiacol unit and eugenol unit by side chain cleavage,demethylation,demethoxylation,dehydration,etc.Furan and its derivatives are mainly formed by glycosides or glycoside compounds by breaking glucoside bonds and dehydration.
4.A new ester glycoside compound from Cyclocarya paliurus

Chemical constituents of n-butanol part of ethanol extract from the leaves of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batalin) Iljinskaja were studied.Eight glycosides were separated and purified by silica gel, MCI, ODS, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and semi-preparative high-performance liquid chromatography.Based on the physicochemical properties and spectral data, these compounds were 3-ethyl-4-methyl-pentyl ester-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), juglanoside E (2), (4S)-α-terpineol-8-O-α-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), (4S)-α-terpineol-8-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (4), eugenyl-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucuronopyranosyl methylester (6), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucuronopyranoside (7), and quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucuronopyranoside (8).Among them, compound 1 was a new compound, and compounds 2-6 were isolated from the genus Cyclocarya for the first time.
