Objective:To analyze the influencing factors of the degree of increase in serum uric acid in patients with hyperuricemia related to pyrazinamide.Methods:The National ADR Monitoring Information Network System was searched and the adverse reaction reports of hyperuricemia induced by pyrazinamide that were reported from January 2012 to June 2019 in Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University were collected. The patients' gender, age, height, weight, history of drug allergy, antituberculosis therapy, time of pyrazinamide treatment, and serum uric acid level before and after the treatment were recorded. Linear regression method was used to analyze the influence of the above factors on the degree of increase in serum uric acid, which was expressed by the change rate of serum uric acid.Results:A total of 177 patients were enrolled in the study, including 124 males and 53 females; their ages were from 15 to 82 years, with a median age of 33 (23, 54) years; their body weight was (60±12) kg, in which 34 cases (19.2%) were <50 kg, 123 cases (69.5%) were 50-75 kg, and 20 cases (11.3%) were >75 kg; their height was (170±8) cm. Among the 177 patients, 143 cases (80.8%) received first-line regimen and 34 cases (19.2%) received second-line regimen; the time of pyrazinamide treatment was 1 to 97 days, with a median time of 8 (6, 11) days; 33 cases (18.6%) had history of drug allergy. The baseline uric acid level in 177 patients was (288±72) μmol/L before pyrazinamide administration and (640±105) μmol/L when hyperuricemia occurred. The change rate of serum uric acid was (139±82)%. Univariate linear regression analysis showed that body weight was negatively correlated with the change rate of serum uric acid ( r=-1.343, t=-2.660, P=0.009). The difference in the change rate of serum uric acid among patients with different body weight was statistically significant ( χ 2=6.977, P=0.031). The difference in the change rate of serum uric acid between the <50 kg group and the >75 kg group was statistically significant ( Z=-2.544, P=0.011). Conclusions:Body weight is an independent influencing factor for the degree of increase in serum uric acid in patients with hyperuricemia related to pyrazinamide. The change rate of serum uric acid in hyperuricemia patients with lower body weight is higher.

Objective To investigate the CT manifestations and pathology features of solitary fibrous tumors of the pleural (SFTP),to improve diagnostic accuracy of this disease.Methods CT manifestations of 12 cases with SFTP confirmed by surgery were analyzed retrospectively by comparison with the pathological findings.Results The CT images of the 12 cases showed intrathoracic soft-tissue shadow with well-defined margin which was widely connected with pleural.There were 4 cases with mound like and mushroom shape,3 cases with round or oval shape,2 cases with irregular shape growing into the pleural space,3 cases with large mass filling unilateral thoracic cavity,9 cases with pleural tail sign and 1 case with pleural pedicle sign.The plain CT showed homogeneous density in 7 cases,high-low mixed density in 4 cases and with internal calcification in 1 case.After contrast enhancement,5 cases were map like heterogeneous and progressive enhancement,and 4 cases have strip distorted vessel inside or on the edge of the lesion.Conclusion CT manifestations of SFTP have certain characteristics,such as broad base,shaping growth and pleural tail sign,which could be helpful to improve the diagnostic accuracy of SFTP by analyzing carefully.

Objective To explore the computed tomography (CT)manifestations of adrenocortical oncocytoma (ACO)for better understanding the disease and improving its diagnosis accuracy.Methods The CT manifestations of 9 cases with adrenocortical onco-cytomas confirmed by surgery were retrospectively reviewed and compared with pathological results.Results Five of cases were lo-cated in left side while 4 cases were in right side.Well defined and round or oval border could be found in all the cases.Of all the ca-ses,3 cases were solid lesions with equal density,< 3 cm in diameter,and mild consistent intensification after enhancement.Cystic lesion was detectd in 6 cases with > 3 cm in diameter.The mixed cystic and solid components with polycystic changes could be found on CT image,and remarkable intensification on solid lesion while no intensification on cystic lesion after the enhancement. Moreover,patchy or cotton-like shape could be found on solid lesion in 4 cases and 1 case with island like intensification;reticular pattern could be found in the central of lesion in 3 cases and 1 case with stellate shape.Pathological observation showed that the on-cotytomas were comprised of cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and necrotic and fibrous capsule without pathological mitosis could be found in some of lesion.Conclusion The characteristic CT features of adrenocortical oncotytoma has a worse specificity,its diagnosis was dependent on pathologic examination.

Objective:To study the reliability and feasibility of intranasal(IN)pathway bypassing the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and observe the potential neuroprotective effects of intranasal NGF on acute cerebral ischemia. Methods:A blinded, vehicle-controlled study of IN NGF and IV NGF administration was performed by intraluminal middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model. Experiment 1: Rats were randomly divided into IN NGF, IV NGF and untreated group (n=4). The concentration of NGF in different brain regions was measured by ELISA. Experiment 2: Rats were randomly assigned into 4 groups: IN vehicle, IN NGF, IV vehicle, IV NGF (n=8 each). Treatments was initiated 30 min after the onset of MCAO and then again 24 h later. Three neurologic behavioral tests were assessed at 24 h and 48h. Corrected infarct volumes were determined 48 h after the onset of MCAO. Results:Olfactory bulb in IN NGF group obtained the highest concentration among all tissues, arriving at 3 252 pg/g, followed by hippocampus. The NGF concentrations of olfactory bulb and hippocampus in IN NGF group were significantly higher than that in IV NGF and control group. The infarct volume in IN NGF group was reduced significantly by 38.8% as compared with IN vehicle. The vestibulomotor function of IN NGF improved significantly at 24 and 48 h (P=0.02 and P=0.04, respectively). Conclusion:Intranasal NGF could bypass BBB, reach the CNS, reduce infarct volume and improve neurological function in rats following MCAO. Intranasal delivery of NGF holds a promising treatment for stroke and other CNS disorders.

Objective To explore the better diagnostic method for acute splenic arteral injury through comparative analysis of CT and DSA. Methods Fifty-seven patients with acute splenic injury were examined by CT and DSA,treated with splenic arterial embolization and then undertook follow up.
