This article systematically reviews the current research status as well as diagnosis and treatment strategies of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Studies demonstrate that TCM, based on the "disease-syndrome combination" approach, exhibits multi-target advantages in alleviating symptoms of various GERD subtypes, promoting mucosal repair, regulating emotions, and facilitating the reduction of western medication. To address clinical challenges such as symptom overlap and limited therapeutic efficacy, strategies have been proposed including "treating different diseases with the same method" and integrated regulation based on viscera correlation. Future efforts should focus on elucidating the mechanisms of compound prescriptions, promoting TCM drug development under the "three-combination" evaluation framework that integrates TCM theory, human experience and clinical trial evidence, and optimizing integrated traditional and western medicine models to enhance GERD management.

Objective:
To explore the association between daytime outdoor physical activity (OPA) and oral health indicators among primary school students, aiming to provide evidence for developing oral health intervention strategies based on natural exposure.
Methods:
In October 2023, based on the "Tianchang Children s Light Exposure and Growth Development Cohort", 799 second and third grades children were recruited from two primary schools in Tianchang, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. Physical activity intensity and light exposure were objectively monitored for 24 hours over 5 consecutive days using triaxial accelerometers synchronized with portable illuminance meters. Standardized oral examinations were performed to record dental caries, gingivitis, and malocclusion. Demographics, lifestyle variables, and household socioeconomic data were collected via questionnaires. Multiple linear regression (for the number of carious teeth) and Logistic regression (for gingivitis risk) were used to analyze the relationship between daytime outdoor moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and oral health outcomes.
Results:
The average daytime outdoor MVPA was (0.76±0.35)h, with (0.95±0.40)h on weekdays and (0.49±0.47)h on weekends. The detection rates for dental caries, gingivitis, and malocclusion were 31.0%, 4.6%, and 59.7%, respectively. Compared with children with good oral health, the duration of outdoor MVPA on school days was reduced in children with caries or gingivitis ( Z =-11.4, -5.01, both P <0.01). Multiple regression analysis showed that after adjusting for factors such as gender, age, body mass index, oral hygiene behaviors, an increase in daytime outdoor MVPA duration was associated with a decrease in the number of dental caries ( β=-0.64, 95%CI =-0.93 to -0.35) and a reduced risk of gingivitis ( OR= 0.58 , 95%CI =0.34-0.98) in primary school students (both P <0.05). The association was primarily observed on school days ( β=-0.72, 95%CI = -1.07 to -0.37; OR=0.42, 95%CI =0.21-0.85) (both P < 0.05).
Conclusions
Daytime outdoor MVPA on weekdays is significantly associated with a lower number of carious teeth and a reduced risk of gingivitis in primary school students. Increasing daytime outdoor activities on weekdays may serve as a promising and potential strategy for promoting children s oral health.

Lung cancer constitutes the most prevalent and lethal malignant tumor in China. Approximately 85% of lung cancer diagnoses correspond to the non-small cell histological subtype [non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)]. Despite surgery being the mainstay for early-stage disease, postoperative recurrence remains high and adjuvant chemotherapy offers limited benefit. In recent years, targeted therapy has demonstrated substantial advantages in driver mutation-positive NSCLC. To this end, the Lung Cancer Medical Education Committee of the Chinese Medical Education Association developed guidelines based on a systematic review of evidence through November 2025, using the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations (GRADE) approach and a modified Delphi method. Focusing on epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), and addressing ROS proto-oncogene 1 (ROS1), B-Raf proto-oncogene serine/threonine kinase (BRAF) V600E mutation, and mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (MET) exon 14 (METex14) skipping, the guideline covers molecular testing, neoadjuvant/adjuvant therapy, perioperative strategies, minimal residual disease monitoring, and postoperative surveillance. It defines testing requirements, specifies stage-directed and subtype-specific treatments, and standardizes minimal residual disease monitoring. These recommendations emphasize precision and feasibility to improve survival and quality of life.

Objective:To investigate the prevalence, severity, and influencing factors of chronic periodontitis in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Nanjing. Methods:From June to August 2022, by using a multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method, a total of 1 477 community-dwelling T2DM patients aged 35 years and older were selected and included from the National Essential Public Health Services Program for T2DM health management. Physical examinations, laboratory tests, and questionnaire surveys were conducted. Study participants were divided into chronic periodontitis group and non-chronic periodontitis group. The chronic periodontitis group was defined as having interproximal clinical attachment loss (CAL) detected at least at two non-adjacent sites, or having buccal/lingual CAL≥3 mm at least at two sites with probing depth (PD)≥3 mm, while excluding CAL caused by non-periodontal reasons. The remaining participants were classified as the non-chronic periodontitis group. In the chronic periodontitis group, patients who had PD≥6 mm at least at two sites with CAL≥5 mm were defined as severe periodontitis, with remaining cases classified as mild-to-moderate periodontitis. Results:The prevalence of chronic periodontitis among T2DM patients was 70.1% (962/1 373), with mild to moderate and severe periodontitis prevalence rates of 62.4% (857/1 373) and 7.6% (105/1 373), respectively. After complex weighted processing, the prevalence of chronic periodontitis in T2DM patients was 67.9%, with mild to moderate and severe periodontitis prevalence rates of 61.2% and 6.7%, respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting all covariates, compared with mental workers, the risk of chronic periodontitis was significantly higher in retired people ( OR=1.78, 95 %CI: 1.75-1.81, P<0.001), unemployed/others ( OR=2.18, 95 %CI: 2.14-2.22, P<0.001), and physical workers ( OR=3.80, 95 %CI: 3.73-3.87, P<0.001). In terms of blood glucose control status, compared with the group that met both control targets, the risk of chronic periodontitis was significantly higher in the group that met only one target ( OR=1.28, 95 %CI: 1.27-1.30, P<0.001) and the group that met neither target ( OR=3.29, 95 %CI: 3.25-3.34) ( P<0.001). The results of ordered Logistic regression showed that after adjusting for all covariates, compared with male patients, female patients had a significantly lower risk of progression to severe periodontitis ( OR=0.77, 95 %CI: 0.76-0.78, P<0.001). In terms of the score of healthy lifestyle, compared with those with a score of 0-2, the risk of progression to severe periodontitis was significantly lower in those with a score of 3 ( OR=0.85, 95 %CI: 0.84-0.86, P<0.001) and 4 ( OR=0.51, 95 %CI: 0.50-0.52, P<0.001). In terms of blood glucose control, compared with the group that met both control targets, the risk of progression to severe periodontitis was significantly higher in the group that met only one target ( OR=1.27, 95 %CI: 1.26-1.29, P<0.001) and the group that meet neither target ( OR=3.24, 95 %CI: 3.21-3.28, P<0.001). Furthermore, poor blood glucose control was significantly positively associated with increased periodontitis severity, demonstrating that worse glycemic control status corresponded to a higher risk of worsening periodontitis severity ( P<0.001). Conclusions:There is an association between the glycemic control status of T2DM patients and chronic periodontitis.

There were 14 female cases and 10 male cases, with an average age of 28.9±16.5 years (range, 12-61 years), 12 cases at the distal end of the femur and 12 cases at the proximal end of the tibia. Tumor types: 16 cases of osteosarcoma, 4 cases of Ewing's sarcoma, 2 cases of chondrosarcoma, and 2 case of parosteal osteosarcoma. All patients were classified as Enneking stage IIB. Record the oncology results of the patients, the length of tumor segment resection, and the remaining bone length at the distal femur or proximal tibia, as well as complications, systemic metastasis and imaging changes. The bone integration at the prosthesis-bone interface was evaluated by tomosynthesis-shimadzu metal artifact reduction technology (T-SMART). Limb function was evaluated using the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS)-93 score and knee range of motion assessment. Results:All 24 patients successfully completed the surgery and were followed up, with an average follow-up time of 51.8±12.7 months (range, 32-99 months). The length of femoral osteotomy was 241.1±66.2 mm (range, 150.6-333.4 mm), and the length of tibial osteotomy was 198.6±35.6 mm (range, 156.6-287.6 mm). The remaining bone length at the epiphyseal end around the knee joint (from the knee joint plane to the osteotomy plane of the distal femur or proximal tibia) was 52.6±11.0 mm (range, 31.1-77.5 mm). At the last follow-up, 23 patients survived tumor-free, while one patient died due to lung metastasis 54 months after the operation. One patient had prosthesis fracture 75 months after the operation, two patients had aseptic loosening 6 and 8 months after the operation, and the T-SMART of the remaining 20 patients showed that the implanted prostheses all achieved good osseointegration. At the last follow-up, the range of motion of the knee joint was 126.2°±7.5° (range, 110.0°-140.0°), and the MSTS-93 score was 26.7±1.8 points (range, 23-30 points). Among them, the MSTS-93 score of the femoral prosthesis was 26.7±1.6 points (range, 24-29 points), and the MSTS-93 score of the tibial prosthesis was 26.9±1.9 points (range, 23-30 points). The average knee range of motion was 126.2°±7.5° (range, 110°-140°), and the MSTS-93 functional score was 26.7±1.8 points (range, 23-30 points) at the last follow-up. The femoral component had an average score of 26.7±1.6 points (range, 24-29 points), while the tibial component had an average score of 26.9±1.9 points (range, 23-30 points). Conclusion:The application three-dimensional printed customized porous prosthesis with preserved articular in the reconstruction of ultra-long segmental bone defect around the metaphysis of peri-knee can preserve the joint, restore limb function well, and have a low incidence of prosthesis complications, with good clinical efficacy in the early and middle stages.
