Objective: To understand the changing trends and related factors of knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) regarding the three major infectious diseases (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, tuberculosis, hepatitis B) among freshmen in Jiangsu from 2019 to 2022, so as to provide a reference basis for the health education of infectious diseases in schools. Methods: From 2019 to 2022, a total of 33 944 freshmen from 20 universities in Jiangsu Province were randomly selected for four consecutive years to investigate their KAP levels online through self designed questionnaires on three major infectious diseases. The multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the changing trends of students KAP levels of the three major infectious diseases, and to explore the influencing factors of KAP. Results: From 2019 to 2022, the knowledge scores(18.0±3.1,18.4±3.2,18.7±3.2,18.8±3.2), related to the three major infectious diseases showed an upward trend ( F=436.50, P <0.01), and the positive attitude reporting rates were 81.77%, 81.46%, 82.68% and 81.74%, respectively. The reporting rates of positive practice were 80.11%, 79.25%, 79.08 % and 79.04%, respectively. Multiple linear regression showed that school type, parental education level, mother s occupation, average income per person in family and living arrangements during high school all had an impact on the knowledge ( β = -1.510 -0.559), attitudes ( β =-0.043-0.065) and practice ( β =-0.028-0.027) of the three major infectious diseases ( P < 0.05 ). The family residence areas only affected the reporting rate of positive attitude scores ( β =0.002-0.065), and whether only children or not affected the reporting rate of positive practice scores ( β =0.009)( P <0.05). The knowledge score showed an upward trend ( β= 0.297, P <0.01), the positive attitude reporting rate showed no statistically significant change ( β=0.001, P =0.22), and the positive practice reporting rate showed a downward trend ( β=-0.005, P <0.01). Conclusions Freshman in Jiangsu Province from 2019 to 2022 have shown a separation in KAP scores regarding the three major infectious diseases. Targeted measures should be taken to improve their health practice level.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of foliar fertilizer of nano-calcium carbonate and calcium nitrate tetrahydrate on the agronomic traits， carbohydrate and endogenous hormone contents of Dendrobium officinale planted for 1 year under greenhouse cultivation， in order to provide scientific basis for fertilization to improve the yield and quality of D. officinale. MethodsSingle-factor experimental design was adopted. Starting from early spring， D. officinale was treated with foliar spraying according to corresponding fertilizers. Three treatment groups were established based on different fertilizers， namely， a blank group（clear water）， a nano-calcium carbonate group（0.727 g·L^-1 nano-calcium carbonate water-soluble fertilizer）， and a calcium nitrate tetrahydrate group（1.091 g·L^-1 calcium nitrate tetrahydrate water-soluble fertilizer）. The frequency of spraying was three times per month， and the entire treatment process lasted for nine months. The effects of various treatments on the traits and relative chlorophyll content of D. officinale were dynamically monitored. Sampling was conducted at three specific time points：August 2， 2023， September 8， 2023， and November 1， 2023， respectively. The contents of glucose and mannose in D. officinale stems were determined by high performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）， the content of soluble sugars in D. officinale stems and leaves was determined by phenol method， and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay（ELISA） was used to detect the concentrations of cytokinin and auxin. ResultsCompared with the blank group， the treatments with nano-calcium carbonate and calcium nitrate tetrahydrate could significantly increase stem length， stem node number， leaf number， and tiller number. Among them， during the harvesting period in November， the stem length and tiller number， which are indicators related to the yield of D. officinale， increased by 60.85% and 19.23% after treatment with calcium nitrate tetrahydrate， and by 32.54% and 28.85% after treatment with nano-calcium carbonate， respectively. Compared with the blank group， treatments with nano-calcium carbonate and calcium nitrate tetrahydrate could promote the accumulation of sucrose in the stems and leaves of D. officinale to varying degrees， as well as the accumulation of polysaccharides， mannose， and glucose in the stems. In addition， nano-calcium carbonate treatment also facilitated the accumulation of fructose in the stems and leaves of D. officinale. Specifically， during the harvesting period in November， polysaccharides and mannose， which were the main active ingredients in D. officinale stems， increased by 28.48% and 29.36% after treatment with calcium nitrate tetrahydrate， and by 39.91% and 82.62% after treatment with nano-calcium carbonate， respectively. In addition， compared with the blank group， the concentrations of auxin in the stems and leaves of D. officinale were significantly increased after treatment with calcium nitrate tetrahydrate（P<0.05）. Similarly， the concentrations of cytokinin and auxin in the stems of D. officinale were also elevated after treatment with nano-calcium carbonate. Correlation analysis further indicated that elongation growth and tillering of D. officinale stems after foliar spraying of nano-calcium carbonate and calcium nitrate tetrahydrate might be related to the accumulation of carbohydrates in the stems and leaves and the synergistic effect of auxin and cytokinin. ConclusionIn production practice， spraying nano-calcium carbonate and calcium nitrate tetrahydrate can promote the accumulation of cytokinin， auxin， and carbohydrate contents in the stems and leaves of D. officinale， and promote tillering and elongation growth of the stems.

Objective: To analyze the influence of stress and psychological resilience on the dietary behavior of middle school students so as to privide a basis for the development of policies and interventions aimed at improving middle school students dietary behavior. Methods: A total of 8 874 middle school students in Shanghai were surveyed using stratified cluster random sampling method from November 2019 to January 2020. The questionnaire included general information, dietary behavior, Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10). Factor analysis was used to analyze the dietary behavior model. Logistic regression model was used to explore the correlation between stress, psychological resilience and dietary behavior in adolescents. Besides, a structural equation model was established to analyze the mediating effect of psychological resilience on stress and dietary behavior. Results: The total score of psychological resilience among middle school students was (27.99±9.83), and the total score of stress was (25.56±7.06). Factor analysis categorized dietary behavior into two types: the high energy dietary behavior and balanced dietary behavior. High energy dietary behavior exhibited statistically significant differences across genders and schooling stage ( χ 2=41.37, 204.03), while balanced dietary behavior showed statistically significant differences across schooling stage and socioeconomic status ( χ 2=130.23, 96.53) (all P <0.01). Logistic regression analysis showed that adolescents with moderate and high stress levels had an increased risks of high energy dietary behavior ( OR=1.25, 95%CI =1.12-1.39; OR=1.58, 95% CI = 1.39-1.79) and a reduced likelihood of reduced balanced dietary behavior ( OR=0.73, 95%CI =0.65-0.81; OR=0.53, 95%CI =0.47-0.60); adolescents with high levels of psychological resilience had a decreased risk of highenergy dietary behavior ( OR= 0.73 , 95%CI =0.65-0.83), and those with moderate and high resilience levels showed improved balanced dietary behavior ( OR= 1.45 , 95%CI =1.29-1.62; OR=2.50, 95%CI =2.21-2.84) (all P <0.01). The mediating effect of psychological resilience between stress and high energy dietary behavior or balanced dietary behavior accounted for 15.61% and 56.10% of the total effects, respectively. Conclusions Stress and psychological resilience are the influencing factors of dietary behavior in middle school students. Psychological resilience have a partial mediating effect between stress and high energy dietary behavior or balanced dietary behavior.

OBJECTIVES: Exposure to rare earth elements (REEs) has been linked to various systemic diseases, but their impact on the offspring blood-brain barrier (BBB) via the gut-brain axis remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the effects of maternal exposure to neodymium oxide (Nd₂O₃) on the BBB integrity of offspring rats, and to evaluate the potential protective role of bifidobacterium tetrad viable tablets (BTVT) against Nd₂O₃-induced intestinal and BBB damage. METHODS: Healthy adult SD rats were mated at a 1:1 male-to-female ratio, with the day of vaginal plug detection marked as gestational day 0. A total of 60 pregnant rats were randomly assigned to the following groups: Control, 50 mg/(kg·d) Nd₂O₃, 100 mg/(kg·d) Nd₂O₃, 200 mg/(kg·d) Nd₂O₃, and 200 mg/(kg·d) Nd₂O₃ + BTVT group. Treatments were administered by daily oral gavage throughout pregnancy and lactation. On postnatal day 21 (weaning), offspring feces, brain, and colon tissues were collected. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining was used to assess structural changes in brain and intestinal tissues. Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) in feces were quantified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Evans Blue (EB) dye extravasation assessed BBB permeability. Gene and protein expression levels of tight junction proteins occludin and zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1) were measured by reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) and Western blotting (WB), respectively. Neodymium levels in brain tissue were determined via inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). RESULTS: HE staining revealed that maternal Nd₂O₃ exposure caused mucosal edema, increased submucosal spacing, and lymphocyte infiltration in offspring colon, as well as neuronal degeneration and vacuolization in brain tissue. BTVT intervention alleviated these changes. GC-MS analysis showed that levels of acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid, and isobutyric acid significantly decreased, while valeric acid and isovaleric acid increased in offspring of Nd₂O₃-exposed mothers (P<0.05). BTVT significantly restored levels of acetic, propionic, and isobutyric acids and reduced valeric acid content (P<0.05). EB permeability was significantly elevated in Nd₂O₃-exposed offspring brains (P<0.05), but reduced with BTVT treatment (P<0.05). RT-PCR and WB showed downregulation of occludin and ZO-1 expression following Nd₂O₃ exposure (P<0.05), which was reversed by BTVT (P<0.05). ICP-MS results indicated significantly increased brain neodymium levels in offspring from all Nd₂O₃-exposed groups (P<0.05), while BTVT significantly reduced neodymium accumulation compared to the 200 mg/(kg·d) Nd₂O₃ group (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS Maternal exposure to Nd₂O₃ during pregnancy and lactation disrupts intestinal health and BBB integrity in offspring, elevates brain neodymium accumulation, and induces neuronal degeneration. BTVT effectively mitigates Nd₂O₃-induced intestinal and BBB damage in offspring, potentially through modulation of the gut-brain axis.

Objective:To observe and analyze the levels of vitamin D（VD） and their influencing factors in children undergoing adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy. Methods:A total of 147 children who received adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy in our hospital from November 2018 to March 2019 were selected as the experimental groups, gender and age matched 147 healthy children of the same period were selected as the control group. The differences of VD levels between the two groups were compared, the factors affecting VD levels were investigated, and patients with VD deficiency/insufficiency in the experimental groups were followed up postoperatively. Results:The VD levels of the experimental groups were（19.6±6.6） ng/mL and those of the control groups were （22.5±6.5）ng/mL, which was significantly different （P<0.01）. The experimental groups were divided into inflammation groups and Sleeping disorder breathing（SDB）groups. The VD levels of the two groups were （19.1±6.7）ng/mL and （21.9±6.4）ng/mL, which was significantly different （P<0.05）. Regression analysis showed that VD levels were negatively correlated with age, body mass index （BMI）, adenoid hypertrophy, tonsil hypertrophy and Anti-streptolysin O（ASO）levels （P<0.05）. VD values were remeasured one year postoperatively in 23 of 72 children in the VD deficiency/deficiency groups, and there was a statistically significant difference between preoperative and postoperative VD values[（14.3±3.9）ng/mL and （17.1±5.5） ng/mL, respectively, P<0.05]. There was a significant difference in postoperative VD value between the inflammation groups and the SDB groups[ （15.6±5.9） ng/mL and （20.5±2.1） ng/mL, respectively, P<0.05]. Conclusion:Children who underwent adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy had lower VD levels than healthy children.VD levels decreased with increasing age,BMI and ASO values,and associated with the size of adenoid and tonsil. Preoperative VD levels were lower in the inflammation groups, adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy improved VD deficiency/insufficiency status, and postoperative elevation of VD levels was more pronounced in the SDB groups.

OBJECTIVE To systematically evaluate the influential factors for the clinical efficacy of tigecycline in the treatment of severe infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria （MDR-GNB）. METHODS Retrieved from PubMed， Embase， The Cochrane Library， CNKI database， Wanfang database and VIP database， the studies about the influential factors for the clinical efficacy of tigecycline in the treatment of adult patients with severe infections caused by MDR-GNB from the database construction to April 30， 2025. After screening literature， extracting data and evaluating the quality of literature， systematic review was performed by using RevMan 5.3 software. RESULTS A total of 14 studies involving 2 033 patients were included， of which 1 355 patients showed effective treatment outcomes. The meta-analysis results showed that Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation （APACHE）-Ⅱ ＞ 20 [OR＝4.50， 95%CI （2.28， 8.85）， P＜0.001]， malignant tumor [OR＝1.96， 95%CI （1.41， 2.72）， P＜0.001]， hemodialysis [OR＝2.09， 95%CI （1.40， 3.12）， P＜0.001]， septic shock [OR＝3.07， 95%CI （2.00， 4.72）， P＜0.001]， mechanical ventilation [OR＝2.31， 95%CI （1.57， 3.39）， P＜0.001]， coagulation dysfunction [OR＝ 3.03， 95%CI （2.09， 4.37）， P＜0.001]， glucocorticoids use＞3 days [OR＝2.26， 95%CI （1.14， 4.45）， P＝0.020]， and longer hospitalization time before using tigecycline [OR＝3.33， 95%CI （1.34， 8.30）， P＝0.010] were risk factors for the clinical efficacy of tigecycline in treatment of severe infections caused by MDR-GNB. Tigecycline initial double-dose regimen [OR＝0.23， 95%CI （0.13， 0.42）， P＜0.001]， combination therapy [OR＝0.15， 95%CI （0.05， 0.48）， P＝0.001]， and prolonged treatment course [OR＝0.91， 95%CI （0.88， 0.95）， P＜0.001] were protective factors. CONCLUSIONS There are many influential factors for the clinical efficacy of tigecycline in the treatment of severe infections caused by MDR-GNB， among which APACHE-Ⅱ score＞20， malignant tumor， hemodialysis， septic shock， mechanical ventilation， coagulation dysfunction， glucocorticoids＞3 d and longer hospitalization time before using tigecycline before tigecycline （No.20251606） use are risk factors； tigecycline double dose， combined medication and longer treatment course are protective factors.

Apical microsurgery is accurate and minimally invasive, produces few complications, and has a success rate of more than 90%. However, due to the lack of awareness and understanding of apical microsurgery by dental general practitioners and even endodontists, many clinical problems remain to be overcome. The consensus has gathered well-known domestic experts to hold a series of special discussions and reached the consensus. This document specifies the indications, contraindications, preoperative preparations, operational procedures, complication prevention measures, and efficacy evaluation of apical microsurgery and is applicable to dentists who perform apical microsurgery after systematic training.

Instrument separation is a critical complication during root canal therapy, impacting treatment success and long-term tooth preservation. The etiology of instrument separation is multifactorial, involving the intricate anatomy of the root canal system, instrument-related factors, and instrumentation techniques. Instrument separation can hinder thorough cleaning, shaping, and obturation of the root canal, posing challenges to successful treatment outcomes. Although retrieval of separated instrument is often feasible, it carries risks including perforation, excessive removal of tooth structure and root fractures. Effective management of separated instruments requires a comprehensive understanding of the contributing factors, meticulous preoperative assessment, and precise evaluation of the retrieval difficulty. The application of appropriate retrieval techniques is essential to minimize complications and optimize clinical outcomes. The current manuscript provides a framework for understanding the causes, risk factors, and clinical management principles of instrument separation. By integrating effective strategies, endodontists can enhance decision-making, improve endodontic treatment success and ensure the preservation of natural dentition.

Objective: To investigate hepatocellular carcinoma ( HCC ) risk factors in hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-negative cirrhotics , and to develop and validate a predictive model using these indicators . Methods: A total of 649 hospitalized patients with HBeAg-negative hepatitis B cirrhosis and HBeAg-negative primary HCC were enrolled . Patients were randomly divided into a modeling group (n = 298) and a validation group (n = 351) at a 7 ∶3 ratio . Logistic regression analysis was used to screen for independent predictors of HCC occurrence . A predic- tive model was constructed and validated using receiver operating characteristic ( ROC) curves . The clinical net benefit of the prediction model was assessed via decision curve analysis . Results: Univariate analysis showed sig- nificant statistical differences between the modeling and validation groups in serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) , aspartate aminotransferase ( AST) , triglycerides ( TG) , gamma-glutamyl transferase ( GGT) , red blood cell count (RBC) , hemoglobin (Hb) , platelet count (PLT) , international normalized ratio (INR) , alpha-feto- protein (AFP) , serum calcium (Ca2 + ) , serum cholinesterase (CHE) , and HBV DNA levels . Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified AST , GGT , Hb , PLT , Ca2 + , CHE , and HBV DNA as independent influencing fac- tors for HCC occurrence (P < 0. 05) , with OR (95% CI) of 1 . 002 ( 1 . 000 - 1 . 005) , 1 . 006 ( 1 . 003 - 1 . 008) , 0. 994 (0. 988 - 0. 999) , 0. 984 (0. 981 - 0. 988) , 9. 624 (3 . 821 - 24. 245 ) , 0. 999 (0. 987 - 0. 999) , and 7. 530 (4. 143 - 13 . 687) , respectively. A nomogram prediction model was established based on these seven indi- cators . The area under the ROC curve was 0. 936 in the modeling group and 0. 941 in the validation group . Cali- bration curves demonstrated high predictive accuracy of the nomogram. Conclusion AST , GGT , Hb , PLT , Ca2 + , CHE , and HBV DNA are independent risk factors for HCC development in patients with HBeAg-negative hepatitis B-related cirrhosis . The established non-invasive prediction model exhibits good discriminative ability and clinical utility , providing an experimental basis for early detection and preventive screening of HCC in this patient population .

Objective: To explore the association of tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage and insufficient sleep with depressive symptoms among middle school students, so as to provide a reference for improving mental health of middle school students. Methods: In accordance with the cluster random sampling method, a total of 18 484 middle school students in Shanghai were surveyed from September to November 2022. Tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage and sleep duration with depressive symptoms were assessed using the relevant scale items included in the questionnaire of Surveillance for Common Disease and Health Risk Factors among Students. The χ 2 test was used for inter group comparison, Logistic regression analysis and likelihood ratio test were used to analyze the independent and aggregated associations of tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet use and insufficient sleep wiht depressive symptoms. Results: Self reported rates of tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage, insufficient sleep and depressive symptoms among adolescents were 14.7%, 73.5% and 16.3%, respectively. Tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage ( OR=2.69, 95%CI =2.44-2.97) and insufficient sleep ( OR=1.76, 95%CI =1.58-1.95) were associated with depressive symptoms ( P <0.05). Compared to middle school students with no tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage and sufficient sleep, those with both tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage and insufficient sleep showed the higher rate of depressive symptoms ( OR=4.71, 95%CI =4.08-5.44, P <0.05). Further stratified analysis results showed that, compared to the boys and the high school students, the separate and joint association of tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage and insufficient sleep with depressive symptoms were more pronounced in the girls and the middle school students [ OR (95% CI ) for tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage were 3.09 (2.68-3.56) and 4.74 (3.86-5.83), respectively; OR (95% CI ) for insufficient sleep were 1.86 (1.60-2.17) and 2.00 (1.58-2.53), respectively; and the OR (95% CI ) for the joint association were 6.05 (5.01-7.31) and 9.15 (6.98-11.99), respectively, P <0.05]. Conclusions Tobacco/alcohol-excessive Internet usage and insufficient sleep are associated with depressive symptoms in middle school students. Prevention and control strategies for adolescent mental health should be developed with consideration of health related behaviors, and also need to be tailored by focusing on gender and grade differences.
