Objective:
To explore the association between parent-child connectedness and romantic relationships of secondary vocational school students and the moderating effect of peers romantic behavior, providing scientific basis for family and school health education.
Methods:
From March to April 2021,2 426 students from six secondary vocational and technical schools in Shanghai and Shaanxi Province were selected to conduct the survey by combining convenience sampling and cluster sampling.Electronic questionnaires were used to collect data on students family characteristics, oneself and peer romantic behaviors, and parent-child bonding. The t-test was employed for inter group comparisons, and binary Logistic regression analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between parent-child bonding levels, peer romantic behavior, and the romantic behavior of secondary vocational students.
Results:
The mother-child connection (2.63±0.77) was higher than that of father-child connection (2.48±0.78), with statistically significant difference ( t =6.83, P <0.01). Multivariable Logistic regression showed that overall father-child connectedness was negatively associated with students romantic relationships( OR =0.86,95% CI =0.76-0.97, P =0.02)and was only associated to girls romantic relationships when stratified by gender( OR =0.79,95% CI =0.66-0.93, P =0.01). Peers romantic relationships were positively associated with students romantic relationships ( OR =3.19-5.12, all P <0.01), and there was a moderating effect of the association between maternal connectedness and boys romantic relationships ( OR =1.67, 95% CI =1.05-2.66, P =0.03). Among boys without romantic peers, mother-child connectedness was negatively associated with their romantic relationships ( OR = 0.60 , 95% CI =0.36-0.99, P <0.05). In the total sample of Shanghai and girls of Shaanxi, father-child connectedness was negatively correlated with the romantic relationships of secondary vocational school students ( OR =0.84,0.65,95% CI =0.71-1.00,0.50-0.85,both P <0.05). Peer romantic relationships exhibited a negative moderating effect on the influence of mother-child connectedness on the romantic relationships of males in Shanghai ( OR =1.91, 95% CI =1.03-3.57, P <0.05).
Conclusions
The father-daughter connectedness is negatively correlated with girls romantic behavior, and peer romantic behavior weakens the correlation between mother-child connectedness and boys romantic behavior. Efforts should be made to enhance the parent-child connectedness of secondary vocational students and their ability to cope with peer influence, providing proper guidance for adolescents heterosexual interactions.

Objective:Based on the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model, back propagation neutral network (BPNN), and ARIMA-BPNN model, select the optimal model suitable for predicting the incidence trend of hepatitis C in Taiyuan City according to the characteristics of the data. Methods:The data of reported cases of hepatitis C in Taiyuan from 2008 to 2021 were selected, and the seasonal trend decomposition chart was used to analyze the seasonal characteristics of the monthly incidence rate of hepatitis C in Taiyuan during the period, and the ARIMA model, BPNN model, and ARIMA-BPNN model were established to predict. The performance of the model was measured using four indicators: mean absolute error ( MAE), mean squared error ( MSE), root mean square error ( RMSE), and mean absolute percentage error ( MAPE). Results:A total of 20 025 cases of hepatitis C were reported, and the overall incidence trend was stable. The BPNN model performed well on MSE, MAE, and RMSE indicators, the ARIMA-BPNN model performed well on MAPE indicators, and the ARIMA model performed relatively averagely. Conclusions:The ARIMA-BPNN model is a better model for predicting the trend of hepatitis C in Taiyuan City, with a higher predictive performance than a single model. It has significant prospects in predicting the trend of infectious diseases.

Chronic heart failure(CHF)is a common end-stage manifestation of cardiovascular disease, and the"spleen-small intestine-heart"axis is its important mechanism.Current studies have shown that the"spleen"in TCM and mitochondria function are similar, and the physiological dysfunction of the"small intestine"is also closely related to intestinal bacterial dysbiosis, and the pathology of the spleen and the small intestine will be transmitted to the heart to accelerate the occurrence and development of CHF.Based on the relevant theory of spleen-small intestine-heart,this article described the correlation between abnormal mitochondrial energy metabolism and imbalance of intestinal flora and CHF from the aspects of the spleen, small intestine and heart, and believed that the essence of CHF is a pathological condition formed by mitochondrial energy metabolism crisis and intestinal microecological disorders, which could provide theoretical references for the TCM prevention and treatment of CHF.

BACKGROUND:Postoperative results with Meek skin grafting in some patients with extremely severe burns have not been satisfactory, with problems of delayed healing or skin graft failure. There have been fewer studies on the treatment of patients with failed Meek skin grafting due to insufficient skin source. This study aimed to explore a treatment method for such patients. OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of stamp-shaped skin allograft in the treatment of severe burns after Meek skin graft failure. METHODS:Twenty-three patients with extremely severe burns who were admitted at Department of Burns and Skin Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University from August 2013 to August 2023 with poor healing after Meek skin grafting were enrolled and divided into allogeneic skin treatment group and dressing change group according to different treatment methods. There were 10 cases in the allograft group and 13 cases in the dressing change group. Preoperative hemoglobin, platelet count, albumin count, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, procalcitonin count, and positive rate of microbial culture before secondary Meek skin grafting were compared between two groups. Survival rate of skin grafts before and after the second operation were compared. The number of operations, incidence of sepsis, and wound scars at 3 months and 6 months after operation were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The preoperative hemoglobin, platelet count and albumin count in the allogeneic skin treatment group were significantly higher than those in the dressing change group (Z=-3.172,P=0.002;Z=-3.010,P=0.003;Z=-2.761,P=0.006). There was no significant difference in the preoperative white blood cell count and neutrophil count between the two groups before secondary Meek skin grafting (Z=1.148,P=0.251;Z=0.373,P=0.709),but the serum procalcitonin count in the allogeneic skin treatment group prior to the second operation was significantly lower than that in the dressing change group (Z=2.955,P=0.002). Burn patients in the dressing change group exhibited a higher microbial culture rate than those in the allogeneic skin treatment group (x2=6.303,P=0.029). The survival rate of skin grafts before the second operation in the allogeneic skin treatment group[(74.8±13.3)%]was significantly higher than that in the dressing change group[(58.4±14.2)%;t=2.85,P=0.01). The survival rate of skin grafts after the second stage operation in the allogeneic skin treatment group[(84.0±11.5)%]was significantly higher than that in the dressing change group[(67.6±20.7)%;t=2.24,P=0.03). The frequency of postoperative surgery in the allogeneic skin treatment group was less than that in the dressing change group (Z=2.27,P=0.02). The incidence of sepsis in the dressing change group was significantly higher than that in the allogeneic skin treatment group (x2=5.490,P=0.03). There was no significant difference in the Vancouver Scar Scale scores of the scars between the two groups at 3 and 6 months after operation (t=0.96,1.138,P>0.05). To conclude,stamp-shaped skin allograft has good curative effect in the treatment of wounds with poor healing of skin after Meek micro-transplantation. The utilization rate of skin in the later stage is significantly increased, which reduces the probability of wound infection and solves the problem of insufficient skin source.

Objective:To characterize the brain structure of Chinese children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using artificial intelligence automatic brain segmentation technique, and to analyze the correlation between the characteristics of the brain structure and the degree of brain development. Methods:A case-control study. The data of 52 children who were diagnosed with ASD according to the diagnostic criteria for ASD in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-Fifth Edition of the United States at the Department of Psychology of Qingdao University Affiliated Women and Children′s Hospital from January 2023 to April 2024 were prospectively analyzed.Meanwhile, 48 gender- and age-matched typically developing (TD) children in Qingdao were also included. The three-dimensional T1 weighted imaging sequences of all patients were obtained using a GE 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging scanner.Automated brain segmentation techniques were used to obtain the standardized volumes of each brain structure (the ratio of the absolute volume of the brain structure to the whole brain volume).Two-independent-samples t and Mann-Whitney U tests were used to compare the standardized volumes of different brain regions between the 2 groups.Pearson and Spearman correlation analyses were used to depict the correlations between volume data of brain areas with significant differences and Gesell Developmental Scale scores. Results:Compared with those in the TD group, the volumes of the left grey matter[25.45%(0.70%) vs.25.16%(1.05%)], the right grey matter [(25.89±0.71)% vs.(25.51±0.73)%], the right lateral orbitofrontal cortex [(0.62±0.03)% vs.(0.59±0.05)%], the right medial orbitofrontal cortex[(0.48±0.04)% vs.(0.46±0.04)%], the right pars triangularis [(0.38±0.07)% vs.(0.35±0.05)%], the left hippocampus [0.22%(0.04%) vs.0.20%(0.02%)], the right hippocampus [0.23%(0.04%) vs.0.22%(0.02%)], the left parahippocampal gyrus [0.15%(0.03%) vs.0.14%(0.02%)], the right parahippocampal gyrus [(0.15±0.02)% vs.(0.14±0.02)%], the left fusiform gyrus [(0.82±0.08)% vs.(0.78±0.08)%], the right superior temporal gyrus [(0.96±0.10)% vs.(0.90±0.09)%], the left insular lobe [(0.54±0.03)% vs.(0.53±0.04)%], the right insular lobe [(0.55±0.03)% vs.(0.53±0.04)%], the right inferior parietal cortex [(1.40±0.16)% vs.(1.33±0.12)%], the right precuneus cortex [(0.99±0.09)% vs.(0.94±0.09)%], the right putamen [(0.37±0.04)% vs.(0.35±0.03)%], the left pallidum [(0.14±0.01)% vs.(0.13±0.01)%], the right pallidum [0.14%(0.02%) vs.0.13%(0.01%)], and the right thalamus [(0.51±0.04)% vs.(0.49±0.03)%] were significantly increased in the ASD group (all P<0.05).Nonetheless, the volumes of the left pericalcarine cortex [(0.19±0.04)% vs.(0.20±0.04)%] and the corpus callosum posterior region [0.05%(0.01%) vs.0.06%(0.01%)] in the ASD group were considerably smaller than those in the TD group (all P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that the right thalamus volume was negatively correlated with the Gesell-adaptation development quotient in children with ASD ( r=-0.276, P=0.048).The volumes of the left fusiform gyrus and left pericalcarine cortex were negatively correlated with the Gesell-fine motor development quotient in children with ASD ( r=-0.290, P=0.037; r=-0.368, P=0.007). The right precuneus cortex volume was negatively correlated with the Gesell-personal and social competence development quotient in children with ASD ( r=-0.396, P=0.007). Conclusions:Children with ASD show abnormalities in the volumes of multiple brain regions, and some brain regions are related to the degree of brain development.Automatic brain segmentation technology based on artificial intelligence can rapidly and directly measure and display the volume of brain structures in both ASD and TD children.

Objective:To identify protein markers that may be associated with ulcerative colitis(UC)by analyzing differential proteins in the salivary exosomes from newly diagnosed patients with active UC and healthy controls(HC),and to investigate the function of salivary exosome-specific high-expression proteins in UC patients and their potential role in the pathogenesis of UC.Methods:All patients and healthy controls were recruited from Peking University People's Hospital.Whole saliva was obtained from 37 patients with newly diagnosed active ulcerative colitis(n=37)and apparently healthy controls(n=10).Salivary exosomes were extracted from samples, and the proteins within the exosomes were identi-fied by liquid chromatograph-mass spectrometer(LC-MS/MS).The differentially expressed protein genes underwent gene ontology(GO)and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis using the DAVID tool.In vitro, macrophages were co-cultured with salivary exosomes from UC group and those from HC group, respectively, and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)was used to detect levels of CD80+and CD86+.Additionally,ELISA was performed to measure secretion levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the cell supernatant. Results:A total of 259 proteins were co-expressed in saliva exosomes from UC group and HC group, among which 11 proteins were highly expressed in the UC group, including PDIA4,A2M,EEF2,C3,PSMA2,PSMB6,PSMA1,IGHG1,IGHG3,IGHG4 and SERPING1,while 4 proteins were lowly expressed in UC group, including TCN1,SLPI and SERPING.Functional analysis of these 15 pro-teins,along with 129 specific proteins found only in the UC patients and 69 specific proteins found only in HC patients, respectively, was conducted using GO/KEGG.The results revealed that in the UC group,proteasome-related proteins such as PSMA1,PSMA2 and PSMB6 expressions were increased in salivary ex-osomes while many key molecules involved in complement cascade pathways, such as C3 were up-regu-lated.In vitro co-culture experiments demonstrated that compared with healthy controls, the salivary exo-somes of the UC patients in active stage could play a pro-inflammatory role by promoting the transformation of macrophages into M1 type cells that secrete inflammatory factors IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α.Conclusion:Salivary exosomes in the UC patients may have the function of promoting inflammation.Analysis of protein levels in the saliva of the UC patients and healthy controls revealed significant differences in the expression levels of 15 co-expressed proteins between the two groups.Among them,C3,PSMA2,PSMB6 and PSMA1 were found to be mainly related to immune and inflammatory reactions in the UC group. These findings sug-gest that proteins with high specific expression in salivary exosomes of the UC patients have the potential to be used as a disease marker for UC diagnosis and may contribute to the pathogenesis of UC.
