Objective To systematically analyze the literature characteristics of Journal of Organ Transplantation since its inception. Methods Using the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) academic journal full-text database as the data source, all articles published in the Journal of Organ Transplantation from January 2010 to August 2025 were retrieved. After excluding non-academic papers, a total of 1 568 research papers were included. R language 4.3.0, Bibliometrix package 3.2.1, and Citespace software were used to analyze the number of publications, publishing institutions, authors, keywords and other aspects. Results The number of publications in Journal of Organ Transplantation increased from an average of 82 articles per year in the early years after its inception to 113 articles per year in recent years, a growth of 37.8%. The geographical distribution of publishing institutions covers 32 provinces, cities and autonomous regions nationwide, mainly concentrated in the South China, East China and North China regions, and has now basically covered the central and western regions in recent years. The author collaboration network includes 45 authors distributed across 7 major collaboration clusters, forming a stable multi-level national research system centered on key university-affiliated hospitals. The high-frequency keywords are dominated by "liver transplantation" (425 times) and "kidney transplantation" (396 times). The theme evolution shows a clear three-stage characteristic: initially focusing on clinical technology application, deepening to immune mechanism exploration in the middle stage, and recently (since 2022) focusing on cutting-edge research areas such as xenotransplantation. Conclusions Journal of Organ Transplantation has witnessed the rapid development of China's organ transplantation cause, fully reflecting the research status and trends in China's organ transplantation field, and has provided an important platform for the future development and international cooperation in China's organ transplantation field.

Objective:To observe the effectiveness of combining mirror therapy with pneumatic flexible glove training in treating hand dysfunction after a stroke. Its effect on cerebral cortex activation was documented using near-infrared functional imaging of the brain. Methods:A total of 84 stroke survivors with hand dysfunction were randomly divided into a Mirror Group, a Glove Group and a Combined Group, each of 28. In addition to standard rehabilitation training, the Glove Group received 20 minutes of training with a pneumatic soft glove, 5 days per week for 6 consecutive weeks. The Mirror Group received mirror therapy (MT). The Combined Group was given both simultaneously. Before and after the treatment, everyone′s upper limb functioning was evaluated (using the Fugl-Meyer Upper Limb Assessment (FMA-U)), along with their hand motor skills (using the Arm Action Test (ARAT)) and their ability in daily living activities (using the Barthel Index (BI)). Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) was employed to measure any changes in oxygenated hemoglobin (HBO) concentration at 730nm and 850nm wavelengths. Results:The FMA-U, ATAT and BI scores in both the proximal and distal regions of all three groups showed significant improvement after the treatments compared to pre-treatment levels. The combined group demonstrated significantly better distal FMA-U and ARAT scores after the treatment (12.25±8.80 and 20.93±15.68 respectively), outperforming both the glove and mirror groups. The infrared spectroscopy revealed that bilateral SM1 activation, affected-side somatosensory association cortex (SAC) and supplementary motor cortex excitability in both the mirror and combined groups were significantly better than among the glove group after the experiment. Conclusions:Combined with pneumatic flexible glove training, mirror therapy can not only significantly improve the hand function of stroke survivors, but also activate the relevant brain regions of both hemispheres through bilateral motor patterns combined with multisensory stimulation, promoting the balance between hemispheres.

Objective:To evaluate the impact of donor characteristics on the prognosis of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) patients undergoing haplo-identical transplantation (HIDT) .Methods:A retrospective analysis of 203 MDS patients who received HIDT was conducted to evaluate how donor factors influenced transplant outcomes. Results:In MDS patients undergoing haploidentical transplantation, donors over 50 years were associated with higher EBV reactivation (2-year cumulative incidence 42.9% vs 22.0% for <50 years old; P=0.010). Female donors were linked to increased severe chronic GVHD compared with male donors (2-year incidence 11.9% vs 4.0% ; P=0.017). Additionally, 2-year overall survival (OS) was slightly lower with female donors than male donors (56.6% vs 69.7% ), but the difference was not statistically significant ( P=0.073). Donor-recipient blood type did not affect post-transplant OS or cumulative relapse rates. Donor-recipient kinship analysis revealed that child donors, compared to haploidentical sibling or parent donors, had lower rates of grade Ⅱ–Ⅳ acute GVHD (27.2% vs 45.7% vs 53.5%, P=0.007) and 2-year EBV reactivation (13.9% vs 29.3% vs 38.9%, P=0.001). For donors under 20 years, donor gender did not significantly affect 2-year OS ( P=0.913), relapse-free survival ( P=0.716), or 100-day incidence of grade Ⅱ–Ⅳ acute GVHD ( P=0.359) . Conclusion:For MDS patients undergoing HIDT, donors over 50 should be avoided. Male and child donors are preferred, while donor gender does not significantly affect outcomes if the donor is under 20 years old.

Objective:To investigates the efficacy and safety of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)in treating older patients(≥60 years old)with hematologic malignancies. Methods:We conducted a retrospective study involving 67 patients aged 60 years and above, diagnosed with malignant hematological diseases, who received allo-HSCT at the Clinical Research Centrer for Haematologic Diseases of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University between June 2015 and March 2023.We collected pre-transplant data, including the patients' age, gender, pre-transplantation disease risk stratification, disease status, and the haematopoietic cell transplantation comorbidity index(HCT-CI). We retrospectively analyzed clinical data regarding treatment-related toxicity, infections, acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease(a/cGVHD), as well as recurrent and non-recurrent deaths, to estimate the overall survival(OS)rate and event-free survival (EFS)rate.Results:Sixty-seven patients were included in the study, comprising 55 males(82.1%)and 12 females(17.9%), with a median age of 63(61, 65) years .The cohort consisted of 42 cases of acute myeloid leukaemia, 22 cases of myelodysplastic syndromes, and 3 cases of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that the 1-year OS and EFS rates were 62.9% and 59.2%, respectively, while the 2-year OS and EFS rates were 55.3% and 51.8%, respectively. The cumulative incidence of 1-year non-relapse mortality and relapse was 25.4% and 21.2%, respectively.A total of 13 patients developed grade Ⅱ-Ⅳ aGVHD, with a 1-year cumulative incidence of 22.0%, and 7 patients developed cGVHD requiring treatment. When stratified by age group, the OS rate was higher in patients aged 60~64 years compared to those aged ≥65 years; however, this difference was not statistically significant(Log-rank χ2=0.99, P=0.317). In contrast, when stratified by disease load, the OS rate was significantly higher in the complete remission(CR)group than in the non-CR group, with a statistically significant difference(Log-rank χ2=15.04, P<0.001). When stratified by donor type, the OS rate was higher in the human leukocyte antigens (HLA) allogeneic group compared to the haploinsufficiency group; however, the difference was not statistically significant(Log-rank χ2=2.71, P=0.100). Twenty-seven patients died at an average of 125 days (range 3-1 054 days) after HSCT.The causes of death included leukemia recurrence in 9 cases (33.3%), infection in 8 cases (29.6%), GVHD in 5 cases (18.5%), poor implantation in 3 cases (11.1%), multi-organ failure in 1 case (3.7%), and cerebrovascular accident in 1 case (3.7%). The results of multifactorial analysis indicated that a pre-transplant tumor load greater than 5% was an independent risk factor for OS after transplantation ( HR=4.59, 95% CI: 2.01-10.42, P<0.001)as well as for disease recurrence ( OR=13.11, 95% CI: 1.96-87.87, P=0.008). Additionally, the occurrence of infection was identified as an independent risk factor for non-recurrent death after transplantation( OR=3.95, 95% CI: 1.13 to 13.71, P=0.031). Conclusions:For patients aged 60 years or older with hematologic malignancies, HSCT can serve as a viable treatment option, particularly for those with refractory recurrence and high cytogenetic risk, as it has the potential to significantly enhance prognosis and increase both EFS and OS rates.

Objective:Based on the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model, back propagation neutral network (BPNN), and ARIMA-BPNN model, select the optimal model suitable for predicting the incidence trend of hepatitis C in Taiyuan City according to the characteristics of the data. Methods:The data of reported cases of hepatitis C in Taiyuan from 2008 to 2021 were selected, and the seasonal trend decomposition chart was used to analyze the seasonal characteristics of the monthly incidence rate of hepatitis C in Taiyuan during the period, and the ARIMA model, BPNN model, and ARIMA-BPNN model were established to predict. The performance of the model was measured using four indicators: mean absolute error ( MAE), mean squared error ( MSE), root mean square error ( RMSE), and mean absolute percentage error ( MAPE). Results:A total of 20 025 cases of hepatitis C were reported, and the overall incidence trend was stable. The BPNN model performed well on MSE, MAE, and RMSE indicators, the ARIMA-BPNN model performed well on MAPE indicators, and the ARIMA model performed relatively averagely. Conclusions:The ARIMA-BPNN model is a better model for predicting the trend of hepatitis C in Taiyuan City, with a higher predictive performance than a single model. It has significant prospects in predicting the trend of infectious diseases.

Objective:New HIV infections serve as a crucial indicator for assessing the dynamic changes in the HIV epidemic. This study aims to estimate the number of new HIV infections in Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province (Dehong), using a back-calculation method that integrates diagnosis delay approaches and Bayesian theory. Additionally, it compares the differences between these two estimation methods. Methods:Data were obtained from the Chinese Information System for Disease Control and Prevention. Based on CD4 + T lymphocytes (CD4) counts depletion model, the first CD4 count prior to antiretroviral therapy of HIV-infected individuals diagnosed in Dehong from 2010 to 2023 was utilized to retroactively determine the infection date of HIV-infected individuals and ascertain the annual number of new HIV infections who had been diagnosed. Subsequently, the diagnosis delay distribution method and Bayesian theory were leveraged to assess the diagnosis probability of newly infected individuals, thereby projecting the number of new HIV infections in the region over the specified period. Results:During 2010-2023, a total of 5 693 individuals aged 15 and above, excluding mother-to-child transmission, were diagnosed with HIV in Dehong. After excluding 364 cases due to missing CD4 count results or abnormal first CD4 counts (≥2 000 cells/μl), 5 329 HIV-infected individuals were included in the final analysis. Through CD4 counts back-calculation from 2010 to 2023, the annual number of new infections diagnosed was 479, 427, 337, 305, 256, 219, 194, 193, 131, 166, 120, 71, 42 and 47. When using the diagnosis delay distribution method and life table analysis, the cumulative diagnosis probability rose from 0.301 within one year to 0.913 within 14 years, leading to a reduction in the number of estimated new infections from 577 in 2010 to 168 in 2023, with a total estimate of 4 412 (95% CI:4 350-4 480). Alternatively, based on Bayesian theory, the diagnosis probability increased from 0.413 within one year to 0.946 within 14 years, leading to a reduction in the number of estimated new infections from 557 in 2010 to 122 in 2023, with a total of 3 814 (95% CI: 3 787-3 837). Conclusions:Both methods yielded consistent results in estimating new HIV infections in Dehong from 2010 to 2023. Given the region's ongoing expansion of HIV testing, the estimates derived from Bayesian theory may more accurately reflect the actual situation. These findings provide a reference basis for formulating and optimizing HIV/AIDS prevention and control strategies in Dehong, facilitating progress toward the goal of eliminating AIDS by 2030 in the region.

Objective:To understand the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of residents in areas endemic for severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) and the factors influencing these aspects, to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of SFTS among residents in endemic areas. Methods:A multi-stage sampling method was used to select subjects for a questionnaire survey, and the collected data were analyzed and compared. Results:The awareness rate of SFTS-related knowledge among residents in the endemic areas of Qingdao was 14.38%, while the awareness rate of tick-related knowledge was 69.78%. The mean score for protective attitudes among residents in the endemic areas was 24.50±4.09, and the mean score for protective behaviors was 11.20±2.76. Among residents of different ages, occupations, and educational levels, comparisons of SFTS-related knowledge awareness rates ( χ2=293.553, P<0.001; χ2=495.216, P<0.001; χ2=677.272, P<0.001), tick-related knowledge awareness rates ( χ2=29.986, P<0.001; χ2=23.239, P=0.002; χ2=41.003, P<0.001), protective attitude scores ( H=52.094, P<0.001; H=33.446, P<0.001; H=81.715, P<0.001), and protective behavior scores ( H=52.344, P<0.001; H=28.465, P<0.001; H=67.061, P<0.001) showed statistically significant differences. Comparisons of these same factors among residents of different genders showed no statistically significant differences ( χ2=1.159, P=0.282; χ2=0.298, P=0.585; t=-0.808, P=0.419; t=-1.229, P=0.219). Comparisons of tick-related knowledge awareness rates among residents with different frequencies of outdoor work showed no statistically significant differences ( χ2=5.367, P=0.147); however, comparisons of SFTS-related knowledge awareness rates, protective attitude scores, and protective behavior scores among residents with different frequencies of outdoor work showed statistically significant differences ( χ2=117.010, P<0.001; F=4.127, P=0.006; H=56.280, P<0.001). Multivariate linear regression analysis revealed that older age, lower educational level, and less frequent outdoor work were associated with lower protective behavior scores ( t=-3.479, P<0.001; t=4.861, P<0.001; t=-7.753, P<0.001). Conclusions:Residents in the epidemic areas of SFTS have a low level of knowledge, attitude and practice. Factors influencing protective behaviors include age, occupation, educational level, and frequency of outdoor work. Farmers are a group that requires particular attention.

Objective:To observe the efficacy of eculizumab in children with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome. Methods:It was a single-center observational study. The clinical data of children diagnosed with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome and treated with eculizumab in Wuhan Children's Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2023 to May 2024 were retrospectively collected. Eculizumab was used at the conventional dose based on the children 's weight. Event-free survival (no death or end-stage renal disease) rate, complete remission rate and recurrence rate of thrombotic microangiopathy in children with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome after eculizumab treatment were analyzed. The complete remission time of estimated glomerular filtration rate, hemoglobin, platelet, lactic dehydrogenase, urine routine and the adverse reactions during the treatment were observed. Whole exome sequencing was used to conduct genetic testing based on blood samples of the children and their parents. Results:There were 4 children enrolled in the study. Four children were all Han Chinese, including 3 males and 1 female. The median age of onset was 8 years (ranging from 7 to 10 years). Two patients had complement gene abnormalities, both of which were homozygous deletions of complement factor H-related 1 and complement factor H-related 3. All the patients were free of plasma exchange or perfusion after treatment with eculizumab, and the 6-month event-free survival rate and thrombotic microangiopathy complete remission rate were both 4/4. The complete remission time was 19 (14-28) days. The time for the complete recovery of platelets, lactate dehydrogenase, estimated glomerular filtration rate and hemoglobin in 4 children was 4 (1-5), 19 (14-28), 10 (5-14) and 29 (20-42) days, respectively. Except for 1 patient whose urine routine fluctuated between negative and weakly positive expression, the other 3 patients had normal urine routine. All the patients discontinued eculizumab. Two patients without gene mutations discontinued eculizumab after 7 doses, and there was no recurrence during the 1-year follow-up after drug withdrawal. Two patients with genetic abnormalities discontinued eculizumab after 26 weeks of treatment, and no recurrence was found during the 3-month follow-up after drug withdrawal. One patient developed rash approximately 7 days after receiving the third dose of eculizumab. The rash was relieved after anti-allergic treatment, and there was no recurrence after the continued use of eculizumab. Conclusion:Eculizumab is effective and safe in the treatment of children with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome. Discontinuation of eculizumab can be considered in patients without gene mutations when their condition is stable, but close monitoring and follow-up are needed after drug withdrawal.
