Objective: To compare the effects of high intensity interval training (HIIT) exercise prescription based on machine vision and routine on HIIT the physical and mental health of female college students with simple obesity, so as to provide a basis for the development of weight loss intervention plans for this population. Methods: From August 2023 to February 2024, 115 female college students with simple obesity, selected from Lianyungang Vocational and Technical College and East China Normal University, were randomly divided into a control group ( n =57) and an observation group ( n =58) according to a random number table. The control group received routine HIIT, while the observation group received machine vision based on HIIT exercise prescription (including image acquisition module, image processing module, database management module, backend computer processing and feedback, intelligent evaluation module, which could be customized according to the subjects preferences, providing exercise prescription based on the selected training program and supervised its standardized completion of the training plan). Both were intervened for 12 weeks, 30 minutes each time, once every 2 days, and rest every Sunday. The t-test was used to compare body shape, glucose and lipid metabolism, cardiopulmonary function indicators, anxiety and depression states between two groups before and after intervention. Results: Before intervention, there were no statistically significant differences in physical and mental health status indicators between two groups of female college students ( t =0.13-0.86, all P >0.05). After intervention, body mass indexes, waist hip ratios, body fat percentage, fasting plasma glucose, 2hour postprandial plasma glucose, hemoglobin A1c, triglycerides, total cholesterol, lowdensity lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), anxiety and depression scores were all reduced in both groups ( t-observation =-6.94 to -12.92, t-control =-2.71 to -10.95 ), of which the observation group [(23.46±2.18)kg/m 2, 0.70±0.06, (28.03±3.16)%, (4.55±0.67)mmol/L, (6.03±0.74)mmol/L, (5.10±0.70)%, (1.63±0.31)mmol/L, (4.24±0.58)mmol/L, (2.45±0.43)mmol/L, 35.28±4.76, and 33.03±4.03] were lower compared with the control group [(26.54±2.32)kg/m 2, 0.77±0.06, (30.74±4.38)%, (5.03±0.76)mmol/L, (6.62±0.82)mmol/L, (5.82±0.73)%, (1.98±0.35)mmol/L, (4.95±0.61)mmol/L, (2.88±0.47)mmol/L, 39.18±5.04, and 37.25±4.16] ( t =-7.34, -6.26 , -3.81, -3.59, -4.05, -5.40, -5.68, -6.40, -5.12, -4.27, -5.53)(all P <0.05). After intervention, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, stroke volume, left ventricular ejection fraction, maximum oxygen consumption, volume of tidal, and vital capacity increased in both groups ( t-observation =7.43-18.23, t-control =3.89-10.13), of which the observation group [(1.49±0.22)mmol/L, ( 72.35± 4.69)mL, (68.95±5.10)%, (36.97±3.22)mL/(kg ·( min), (25.29±4.11)mL/(kg · ( min), and (3 374.26±169.54)mL] were higher compared with the control group [(1.23±0.20)mmol/L, (67.32±4.06)mL, (64.83±5.05)%, (33.24±3.14)mL/(kg · ( min), (23.01± 3.58 )mL/(kg · ( min), and (3 197.50±125.81)mL] ( t =6.63, 6.15, 4.35, 6.29, 3.17, 6.34)(all P <0.05). Conclusion HIIT exercise prescription based on machine vision has better effects than routine HIIT on impoving the body shape, glucose and lipid metabolism, cardiopulmonary function of female college students with simple obesity, and also their mental health.

BACKGROUND: Preclinical studies have indicated that Angong Niuhuang Pills (ANP) reduce cerebral infarct and edema volumes. This study aimed to investigate whether ANP safely reduces cerebral infarct and edema volumes in patients with moderate to severe acute ischemic stroke. METHODS: This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot trial included patients with acute ischemic stroke with National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores ranging from 10 to 20 in 17 centers in China between April 2021 and July 2022. Patients were allocated within 36 h after onset via block randomization to receive ANP or placebo (3 g/day for 5 days). The primary outcomes were changes in cerebral infarct and edema volumes after 14 days of treatment. The primary safety outcome was severe adverse events (SAEs) for 90 days. RESULTS: There were 57 and 60 patients finally included in the ANP and placebo groups, respectively for modified intention-to-treat analysis. The median age was 66.0 years, and the median NIHSS score at baseline was 12.0. The changes in cerebral infarct volume at day 14 were 0.3 mL and 0.4 mL in the ANP and placebo groups, respectively (median difference: -7.1 mL; interquartile range [IQR]: -18.3 to 2.3 mL, P = 0.30). The changes in cerebral edema volume of the ANP and placebo groups on day 14 were 11.4 mL and 4.0 mL, respectively ( median difference: 3.0 mL, IQR: -1.3 to 9.9 mL, P = 0.15). The rates of SAE within 90 days were similar in the ANP (3/57, 5%) and placebo (7/60, 12%) groups ( P = 0.36). Changes in serum mercury and arsenic concentrations were comparable. In patients with large artery atherosclerosis, ANP reduced the cerebral infarct volume at 14 days (median difference: -12.3 mL; IQR: -27.7 to -0.3 mL, P = 0.03). CONCLUSIONS: ANP showed a similar safety profile to placebo and non-significant tendency to reduce cerebral infarct volume in patients with moderate-to-severe stroke. Further studies are warranted to assess the efficacy of ANP in reducing cerebral infarcts and improving clinical prognosis. TRAIL REGISTRATION Clinicaltrials.gov , No. NCT04475328.

Objective To investigate the effects of hyaluronic acid and proteoglycan-linked protein 1 (HAPLN1) secreted by synovial fibroblasts (FLS) on the polarization of macrophages (Mϕ) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods Human monocytic leukemia cells (THP-1) were differentiated into Mϕ, which were subsequently exposed to recombinant HAPLN1 (rHAPLN1). RA-FLS were transfected separately with HAPLN1 overexpression plasmid (HAPLN1^OE) or small interfering RNA targeting HAPLN1 (si-HAPLN1), and then co-cultured with Mϕ to establish a co-culture model. The viability of Mϕ was assessed using the CCK-8 assay, and the proportions of pro-inflammatory M1-type and anti-inflammatory M2-type Mϕ were analyzed by flow cytometry. Additionally, the expression levels of inflammatory markers, including interleukin 1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), were quantified using quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot analysis. Results The viability of Mϕ was increased in the rHAPLN1 group compared to the control group. Furthermore, both the M1/Mϕ ratio and inflammatory factor levels were elevated in the rHAPLN1 and HAPLN1^OE groups. In contrast, the si-HAPLN1 group exhibited a decrease in the M1/Mϕ ratio and inflammatory factor expression. Notably, the introduction of rHAPLN1 in rescue experiments further promoted Mϕ polarization towards the M1 phenotype. Conclusion HAPLN1, secreted by RA fibroblast-like synoviocytes (RA-FLS), enhances Mϕ polarization towards the M1 phenotype.

Objective To investigate the immediate therapeutic efficacy of Kuanxiong Aerosol on improving the angina pectoris in the patients complicated with intermediate coronary stenosis(ICS),and to observe its effect on resting full-cycle ratio(RFR),corrected TIMI(thrombolysis in myocardial infarction)frame count(CTFC)in angiography,and coronary serum inflammatory factors.Methods Sixty angina pectoris patients with ICS admitted to the Cardiovascular Department of Dade Road Hospital,Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2023 to March 2024 were randomly divided into the trial group and the control group,with 30 patients in each group.The trial group was given four consecutive sprays of Kuanxiong Aerosol by sublingual spray,and the control group had no intervention but just was given the monitoring for 10 minutes.Before and after the intervention,the changes of coronary RFR,CTFC,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score of chest pain,and the serum levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin 6(IL-6)and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)in the two groups were observed.Moreover,the incidence of adverse reactions during the intervention in the two groups of patients was compared.Results(1)After the intervention,the coronary RFR value of the trial group was increased significantly compared with that before intervention(P<0.01),while the coronary RFR value of the control group was not increased significantly compared with that before intervention(P>0.05);the comparison between the two groups showed that the effect on increasing the coronary RFR value in the trial group was superior to that in the control group(P<0.05).(2)After intervention,the CTFC value of the trial group was significantly decreased compared with that before intervention(P<0.01),while the CTFC value of the control group was not significantly decreased compared with that before intervention(P>0.05);the intergroup comparison showed that the trial group tended to have a better effect on the decrease of CTFC value than the control group,but the difference being not statistically significant(P>0.05).(3)After the intervention,the chest pain VAS score of the trial group was significantly reduced compared with that before intervention(P<0.01),while the pre-and post-treatment changes of the score in the control group was not significant(P>0.05);the intergroup comparison showed that the decrease of the chest pain VAS score in the trial group was superior to that in the control group(P<0.01).In particular for immediate therapeutic efficacy,Kuanxiong Aerosol achieved the effective rate of 96.67%(29/30)for relieving chest pain 10 minutes after sublingual spraying,which was significantly superior to that of the control group[10.00%(3/30)],and the comparison between the two groups showed that the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).(4)After the intervention,the Lp-LPA2 value of the trial group was decreased compared with that before intervention(P<0.05),while the CRP and IL-6 values of the trial group as well as the CRP,IL-6,and Lp-LPA2 values of the control group were all not significantly decreased compared with those before intervention(P>0.05).The intergroup comparison showed that the trial group's effect on the decrease of Lp-LPA2 value was significantly superior to that of the control group(P<0.05).(5)Before and after the intervention,no obvious changes of the general vital signs in the two groups were shown,no drug-related adverse occurred,either.Conclusion Kuanxiong Aerosol can immediately improve the coronary physiological function indicators of angina pectoris patients with ICS,increase the coronary flow rate,and inhibit inflammatory response of the coronary artery to some degree,thus to alleviate the symptoms of angina pectoris in patients with ICS.

Objective To establish an analytical method for the simultaneous determination of 18 perfluoroalkyl compounds(PFCs)in tea leaves using a quick,easy,cheap,effective,rugged,and safe(QuEChERS)method for sample pretreatment combined with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS).Methods The target analytes—18 PFCs—included 13 carboxylic acid PFCs(perfluorobutanoic acid[PFBA],perfluoropentanoic acid[PFPeA],perfluorohexanoic acid[PFHxA],perfluoroheptanoic acid[PFHpA],perfluorooctanoic acid[PFOA],perfluorononanoic acid[PFNA],perfluorodecanoic acid[PFDA],perfluoroundecanoic acid[PFUdA],perfluorododecanoic acid[PFTrDA],perfluorotridecanoic acid[PFTeDA],perfluorotetradecanoic acid[PFHxDA],perfluorohexadecanoic acid[PFHpS],and perfluorooctadecanoic acid[PFODA])and 5 sulfonic acid PFCs(perfluorobutanesulfonic acid[PFBS],perfluorohexanesulfonic acid[PFHxS],perfluoroheptanesulfonic acid[PFHpS],perfluorooctanesulfonic acid[PFOS],and perfluorodecanesulfonic acid[PFDS]).The QuEChERS pretreatment parameters were systematically optimized using the response surface methodology.The tea leave samples were extracted with an 80%acetonitrile solution and subsequently purified by adding a mixed absorbent consisting of 20 mg N-propyl-ethylenediamine(PSA),210 mg graphitized carbon black GCB),and 60 mg octadecylsilane(C18).The supernatant was concentrated by nitrogen blowing and subsequently re-dissolved in 50%methanol-2 mmol/L ammonium acetate solution.The re-dissolved solution was injected into the UHPLC-MS/MS for analysis.The target analytes were separated on an ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 column(2.1 mm×50 mm,1.7 μm).The mobile phases consisted of methanol(phase A)and 2 mmol/L aqueous ammonium acetate(phase B),with a gradient elution procedure.The total running time was 18 min.The mass spectrometry analysis was conducted using an electrospray ionization source in negative ionization mode and multi-reaction monitoring(MRM),with quantification performed using the internal standard curve method.The greenness of the analytical method was assessed using Analytical GREEnness calculator(AGREE)and the Analytical Eco-Scale method(AES).Results Under the optimized conditions,the limits of detection(LODs)and limits of quantification(LOQs)of the method were 0.005 7-1.23 ng/g and 0.019-4.09 ng/g,respectively.The average recoveries of most target compounds were 71.1%-117.9%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs)below 15%.The AGREE index of the method was 0.49,and the AES score was 76.At least one PFC was detected in each of the 132 tea leave samples,and the detection rate of carboxylic acid PFC was higher than that of sulfonic acid PFC.The highest detection rates were observed for PFBA at 97.74%,PFHpA at 93.23%,and PFOA at 92.24%.In contrast,PFHpS,PFUdA,PFDoA,PFHxDA,and PFODA were not detected in the samples.Conclusion The proposed method has the advantages of simplicity,rapidity and sensitivity,and is suitable for the analysis of PFCs in tea leaves.The method has high greenness with minimal impact on the operator and the environment.The widespread presence of PFC contamination in tea leaves available in the market warrants strengthened monitoring and regulatory control.

ObjectiveTo analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province from 2013 to 2022, so as to provide a basis for HFMD prevention, control, and evaluation of intervention effectiveness. MethodsHFMD data of Zhangjiakou City from 2013 to 2022 were collected. Descriptive statistics and the Joinpoint regression model were used to analyze the trend of the epidemic. ResultsThe incidence of HFMD in Zhangjiakou was predicted to decrease with APC=-14.86% in 2013‒2022. The top five regions with the highest incidence showed varying trends: Qiaodong District (APC=-26.21%), Qiaoxi District (APC=-18.29%), Xuanhua District (APC=-14.28%), Chicheng District (APC=-18.68%), and Zhuolu County (APC=51.43% in 2013‒2016, APC=-14.27% in 2016‒2022), indicating a downward trend. Three age groups showed an upward trend in incidence: the 0-year-old group (APC=-42.82% in 2013‒2016, APC=16.54% in 2016‒2022), the 7-year-old group (AAPC=9.60%), and the 9-year-old group (AAPC=12.76%). HFMD cases occurred throughout the year, peaking from June to August, with July being the most significant month. The male-to-female ratio was1.40∶1, with no statistical difference (χ²=5.932, P>0.05). A high incidence was in children under 5 years old, with those aged 1‒4 years being the main affected group. In terms of occupation, scattered children (6 245 cases, 57.65%) and preschool children (3 653 cases, 33.72%) were the most affected. A total of 504 laboratory-confirmed cases were reported, with a detection rate of 4.65% (504/10 832). The composition of confirmed cases included CoxA 16 (193 cases, 38.29%), EV71 (75 cases, 14.88%), and other enteroviruses (236 cases, 46.83%). ConclusionFrom 2013 to 2022, HFMD in Zhangjiakou City showed a downward trend with clear seasonal, regional, and occupational distributions. It is suggested that epidemic monitoring should be strengthened, etiological detection should be enhanced, and education efforts in key areas should be improved. High-incidence counties should analyze data and conduct risk assessments effectively.

Objective: To analyze the characteristics of school injury among students aged 3 to 18 years in Yantian District of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, so as to provide the reference for developing the strategies for prevention and control of school injury. Methods: Data of the students aged 3 to 18 years who were initially diagnosed as injury in sentinel hospitals and whose injuries occurred in nurseries, primary or middle schools in Yantian District in 2023, were collected from the Shenzhen Injury Surveillance System. The onset time, places, activities, characteristics and sites of injury were descriptively analyzed. Results: A total of 1 681 cases of school injuries among students aged 3 to 18 years were reported in Yantian District in 2023, including 1 182 boys and 499 girls, with a boy-to-girl ratio of 2.37∶1. There were 206 preschool children (12.25%), 856 primary school students (50.92%), 358 junior high school students (21.30%) and 261 high school students (15.53%). The peak months for school injuries were February to June, accounting for 49.97%; the peak time period was from 15: 00 to 18: 59, accounting for 44.68%. The main causes of injuries included falls (41.94%) and blunt injury (33.85%). The activities at the time of injury mainly included leisure activities (57.70%) and physical activities (21.83%). Contusion/abrasion was the main characteristics (49.20%). Mild injury was predominant, accounting for 74.60%, and there was no fatal case. The top three injury sites were the head and neck, upper limbs and lower limbs, accounting for 36.94%, 27.54%, and 24.33%, respectively. Boys had higher proportions of blunt injuries and contusion/abrasion (AR=4.8 and 4.0). The proportion of sports injuries, sprains/strains and lower limb injuries increased with grade (all P<0.05). Conclusions School injury among students predominantly occur in spring when having leisure or physical activities in Yantian District. The main causes of injuries are falls and blunt injury, with boys and primary school students being the high-risk groups.

Objective:To investigate the current situation of the use of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) for portal hypertension, which should aid the development of TIPS in China.Methods:The China Portal Hypertension Alliance (CHESS) initiated this study that comprehensively investigated the basic situation of TIPS for portal hypertension in China through network research. The survey included the following: the number of surgical cases, main indications, the development of Early-TIPS, TIPS for portal vein cavernous transformation, collateral circulation embolization, intraoperative portal pressure gradient measurement, commonly used stent types, conventional anticoagulation and time, postoperative follow-up, obstacles, and the application of domestic instruments.Results:According to the survey, a total of 13 527 TIPS operations were carried out in 545 hospitals participating in the survey in 2021, and 94.1% of the hospital had the habit of routine follow-up after TIPS. Most hospitals believed that the main indications of TIPS were the control of acute bleeding (42.6%) and the prevention of rebleeding (40.7%). 48.1% of the teams carried out early or priority TIPS, 53.0% of the teams carried out TIPS for the cavernous transformation of the portal vein, and 81.0% chose routine embolization of collateral circulation during operation. Most of them used coils and biological glue as embolic materials, and 78.5% of the team routinely performed intraoperative portal pressure gradient measurements. In selecting TIPS stents, 57.1% of the hospitals woulel choose Viator-specific stents, 57.2% woulel choose conventional anticoagulation after TIPS, and the duration of anticoagulation was between 3-6 months (55.4%). The limitation of TIPS surgery was mainly due to cost (72.3%) and insufficient understanding of doctors in related departments (77.4%). Most teams accepted the domestic instruments used in TIPS (92.7%).Conclusions:This survey shows that TIPS treatment is an essential part of treating portal hypertension in China. The total number of TIPS cases is far from that of patients with portal hypertension. In the future, it is still necessary to popularize TIPS technology and further standardize surgical indications, routine operations, and instrument application.

Objective To predict the core targets and action pathways of Hedysari Radix based on UPLC-MS/MS and network pharmacology methods,and to verify the results of network pharmacology by molecular docking and molecular dynamics techniques.This article aims to investigate immune regulation mechanism of effective components absorbed into blood from Hedysari Radix.Methods Qualitative quantification of effective components absorbed into blood from Hedysari Radix were operated by using UPLC-MS/MS technique.The corresponding targets of effective components absorbed into blood from Hedysari Radix were screened by TCMSP and HERB databases.Targets of immune-related disease were obtained through DisGeNET,OMIM,TTD,and MalaCards databases.The network of"components absorbed into blood from Hedysari Radix-immune-related diseases"was then constructed.GO and KEGG enrichment analysis and mapped the PPI network were performed.Molecular docking and molecular dynamics techniques were applied for validation.Results A total of 8 prototype components absorbed into blood,synergistically acting on 101 targets,were identified by UPLC-MS/MS.They mediated 538 biological processes including immune response,positive regulation of gene expression,receptor binding,and cytokine activity.Meanuhile,116 signaling pathways,such as HIF-1,Toll-like receptor,JAK-STAT,T cell receptor,PI3K-Akt,and FoxO etc.were involved.The core targets were MAPK14,PTGS2,MMP9,PPARG,CCND1,etc..The results of molecular docking showed that formononetin and calycosin had strong docking binding activity with MAPK14.And molecular dynamics simulations further demonstrated that the binding between MAPK14 and formononetin or calycosin had good structural stability and binding affinity.Conclusion The results of serum pharmacochemistry,network pharmacology and molecular dynamics were verified to reveal the material basis and mechanism of Hedysari Radix in regulating immunity.The aim of this study is to provide scientific basis for its immunomodulatory mechanism.

Objective To explore the reliability and safety of continuous monitoring of vital signs in patients using wireless wearable monitoring devices after video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for lung cancer. Methods The patients undergoing VATS for lung cancer in West China Hospital, Sichuan University from May to August 2023 were prospectively enrolled. Both wireless wearable and traditional wired devices were used to monitor the vital signs of patients after surgery. Spearman correlation analysis, paired sample t test and ratio Bland-Altman method were used to test the correlation, difference and consistency of monitoring data measured by the two devices. The effective monitoring rate of the wireless wearable device within 12 hours was calculated to test the reliability of its continuous monitoring. Results A total of 20 patients were enrolled, including 15 females and 5 males with an average age of 46.20±11.52 years. Data collected by the two monitoring devices were significantly correlated (P<0.001). Respiratory rate and blood oxygen saturation data collected by the two devices showed no statistical difference (P>0.05), while heart rate measured by wireless wearable device was slightly lower (=−0.307±1.073, P<0.001), and the blood pressure (=1.259±5.354, P<0.001) and body temperature(=0.115±0.231, P<0.001) were slightly higher. The mean ratios of heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure and body temperature collected by the two devices were 0.996, 1.004, 1.000, 1.014, and 1.003, respectively. The 95% limits of agreement (LoA) and 95% confidence interval of 95%LoA of each indicator were within the clinically acceptable limit. The effective monitoring rate of each vital signs within 12 hours was above 98%. Conclusion The wireless wearable device has a high accuracy and reliability for continuous monitoring vital signs of patients after VATS for lung cancer, which provides a security guarantee for subsequent large-scale clinical application and further research.
