Syringa pinnatifolia, belonging to the family Oleaceae, is a species endemic to China. It is predominantly distributed in the Helan Mountains region of Inner Mongolia and Ningxia of China. The peeled roots, stems, and thick branches have been used as a distinctive Mongolian medicinal material known as "Shan-chen-xiang", which has effects such as suppressing "khii", clearing heat, and relieving pain and is employed for the treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases and joint pain. Over the past five years, significant increase was achieved in research on chemical constituents and pharmacological effects. There were a total of 130 new constituents reported, covering sesquiterpenoids, lignans, and alkaloids. Its effects of anti-myocardial ischemia, anti-cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, sedation, and analgesia were revealed, and the mechanisms of agarwood formation were also investigated. To better understand its medical value and potential of clinical application, this review updates the research progress in recent five years focusing on the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of S. pinnatifolia, providing reference for subsequent research on active ingredient and support for its innovative application in modern medicine system.

With the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence(GAI)technologies,their widespread application in academic research and writing is continuously expanding the boundaries of sci-entific inquiry.However,this trend has also raised a series of ethical and regulatory challenges,inclu-ding issues related to authorship,content authenticity,citation accuracy,and accountability.In light of the growing involvement of AI in generating academic content,establishing an open,controllable,and trustworthy ethical governance framework has become a key task for safeguarding research integrity and maintaining trust within the academic community.This expert consensus outlines ethical requirements across key stages of AI-assisted academic writing-including topic selection,data management,citation practices,and authorship attribution.It aims to clarify the boundaries and ethical obligations surrounding AI use in academic writing,ensuring that technological tools enhance efficiency without compromising in-tegrity.The goal is to provide guidance and institutional support for building a responsible and sustainable research ecosystem.
4.Study on the spillover effects of DRG payment reform:Evidence from the level and structure of medical expenses among non-local inpatients

Objective:This study aims to investigate the spillover effects of the Diagnosis-Related Groups payment reform on medical expenditures.Methods:Based on the medical record data of inpatients in a tertiary Grade A hospital in Wuhan,Hubei Province,the Difference-in-Differences method was applied to estimate the impact of the DRG reform on medical expenditures for non-local patients.Results:After the implementation of DRG payment,the total medical expenses(β=-0.13),out-of-pocket expenses(β=-0.22),drug expenses(β=-0.25),consumable expenses(β=-0.26)decreased significantly.Meanwhile,the reduction ranges of the level and proportion of out-of-pocket expenses for non-local inpatients were significantly larger than those for local inpatients.However,the reduction range of the proportion of drug expenses for non-local inpatients was significantly smaller than that for local inpatients.The gaps between the two groups in terms of the level of out-of-pocket expenses and the proportion of drug expenses gradually narrowed.Conclusion:The DRG payment reform has produced a significant spillover effect,leading to a decrease in the medical expense level and an improvement in the expense structure for non-local inpatients.However,the medical expenses of non-local inpatients remain relatively high.It is suggested to accelerate the inclusion of non-local inpatients in disease-specific payment management and strengthen the coordination between the hospital's internal operation management and the reform of medical insurance payment methods.

7.Clinical efficacy of microscopic varicocelectomy versus laparoscopic varicocelectomy in the treatment of varicocele with male infertility

Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy between microscopic varicocelectomy and laparoscopic varicocelectomy in the treatment of varicocele(VC)with male infertility.Methods:A total of 307 patients who were diagnosed with VC complicated with male infertility and admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from October 2018 to October 2022 were recruited for retrospective analysis.The patients were divided into the microscopic group(180 cases)and laparoscopic group(127 cases)according to the surgery method.The pre-and postoperative clinical data of these two groups were analyzed,including the degree of dilatation and reflux time of internal spermatic vein,hemodynamic parameters of testicular capsular artery,proportion of progressive motility spermato-zoa(PR),concentration of spermatozoa,proportion of normal morphology sperm,the pregnancy outcome of spouses and the incidence of complications related with surgery within 2 years postoperatively.Results:All the surgeries for the 307 patients in this study were successful.There was no significant difference in operation time,hospitalization time and management expenses between the microscop-ic group and the laparoscopic group(P>0.05).Compared to the patients in laparoscopic group,the patients in the microscopic group received a better improvement in venous diameter,reflux time of spermatic veins and hemodynamic parameters of testicular capsular ar-tery(P<0.05).Moreover,the semen analysis showed that the PR,spermatozoa concentration and proportion of normal morphology sperm in the microscopic group were also obviously increased than those in the laparoscopic group(P<0.05).During the 2-year fol-low-up period,the conception rate of spouses in the microscopic group was 67.2%,while only 47.2%in the laparoscopic group,in which the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Besides,the time-to-pregnancy(TTP)within 2 years postoperatively in the microscopic group was significantly shorter than that in the laparoscopic group(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes in the microscopic group was also significantly lower than that in the laparoscopic group(P<0.05).It is worth mentioned that the spontaneous conception rate of spouses with successful pregnancy in the microscopic group was also significantly higher than that in the laparoscopic group(P<0.05).Severe complication such as testicular atrophy,bleeding and infection did not appear in both of two groups.However,the incidences of testicular hydrocele and recurrence of VC postoperatively in the laparoscopic group were significantly higher than those in the microscopic group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both microscopic varicocelectomy and laparoscopic varicocelectomy can be applied to the management of VC combined with male infertility.But microscopic varicocelectomy showed better clinical efficacy in improving the testicular hemodynamic parameters,semen quality,pregnancy outcome and postopera-tive complications,which is worthy of further clinical applications.

Objective To investigate the incidence rate,clinical characteristics,and prognosis of neonatal stroke in Shenzhen,China.Methods Led by Shenzhen Children's Hospital,the Shenzhen Neonatal Data Collaboration Network organized 21 institutions to collect 36 cases of neonatal stroke from January 2020 to December 2022.The incidence,clinical characteristics,treatment,and prognosis of neonatal stroke in Shenzhen were analyzed.Results The incidence rate of neonatal stroke in 21 hospitals from 2020 to 2022 was 1/15 137,1/6 060,and 1/7 704,respectively.Ischemic stroke accounted for 75%(27/36);boys accounted for 64%(23/36).Among the 36 neonates,31(86%)had disease onset within 3 days after birth,and 19(53%)had convulsion as the initial presentation.Cerebral MRI showed that 22 neonates(61%)had left cerebral infarction and 13(36%)had basal ganglia infarction.Magnetic resonance angiography was performed for 12 neonates,among whom 9(75%)had involvement of the middle cerebral artery.Electroencephalography was performed for 29 neonates,with sharp waves in 21 neonates(72%)and seizures in 10 neonates(34%).Symptomatic/supportive treatment varied across different hospitals.Neonatal Behavioral Neurological Assessment was performed for 12 neonates(33%,12/36),with a mean score of(32±4)points.The prognosis of 27 neonates was followed up to around 12 months of age,with 44%(12/27)of the neonates having a good prognosis.Conclusions Ischemic stroke is the main type of neonatal stroke,often with convulsions as the initial presentation,involvement of the middle cerebral artery,sharp waves on electroencephalography,and a relatively low neurodevelopment score.Symptomatic/supportive treatment is the main treatment method,and some neonates tend to have a poor prognosis.
9.Application of different transbronchoscopic biopsies in the diagnosis of senile central lung cancer

Objective To study the application value of different transbronchial biopsies in the diagnosis of central lung cancer in elderly patients.Methods The clinical data of 97 elderly patients with central lung cancer diagnosed by pathology from June 2020 to June 2023 in the 923rd Hospital of Chinese People's Liberation Army Joint Logistic Support Force were retrospectively analyzed.According to the different initial transbronchial biopsy methods,the patients were divided into the endobronchial biopsy(EBB)group(n=51)and the conventional transbronchial needle aspiration(cTBNA)group(n=46).The histopathological results were statistically analyzed,and the first biopsy positive rates of EBB and cTBNA in the diagnosis of senile central lung cancer were calculated and compared.At the same time,the differences of biopsy tolerance and complications between the two groups were evaluated.Results The squamous cell carcinoma proportions in both groups were over 50%.There was no significant difference in the first biopsy positive rate between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of temporary retreat of the scope due to subjective tolerance in the EBB group was higher than that in the cTBNA group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of intraoperative complications of different grades between the two groups(P<0.001).Among them,the incidence of grade 2 and above complications during surgery in the EBB group was significantly higher than that in the cTBNA group(P<0.001).Conclusion For elderly patients with central lung cancer,the success rate of the first biopsy of EBB and cTBNA is roughly equivalent,but the incidence of postoperative complications of the latter is significantly lower than that of the former.cTBNA can be used as the first biopsy method for this population.
10.Research progress of artificial intelligence combined with physiologically based pharmacokinetic models

Physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models have been widely used to predict various stages of drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. Models based on machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) can provide better ideas for the construction of PBPK models, which can accelerate the prediction speed and improve the prediction quality of PBPK. ML and AL can complement the advantages of PBPK model to accelerate the progress of drug research and development. This review introduces the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in pharmacokinetics, summarizes the research progress of physiological pharmacokinetic models based on machine learning and artificial intelligence, and analyzes the limitations of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications and their application prospects and prospects.
