In recent years,more and more researches has focused on the correlation between cognitive activity and physiological variables.The change of pupil is regarded as an important target in the cognitive process,and has become a hot research field.This review focuses on the three key brain regions that regulate pupil change,and reflects the neurophysiological mechanism behind pupil change by elaborating the neural pathways related to pupil change and cognitive performance.Based on recent studies on pupil change in cognitive diseases,it aims to promote the application of pupil change in the field of cognitive science in the future.

Objective:To evaluate the gene mutation profile and prognostic significance of adult cytogenetically normal acute myeloid leukemia (CN-AML) with CEBPA-bZIP mutation. Methods:Targeted sequencing was implemented on the diagnostic bone marrow DNA samples of 141 adult CN-AML subjects with CEBPA-bZIP mutation. The nomogram model for leukemia-free survival (LFS) rate was generated by combining genetic abnormalities and clinical data. Risk stratification was conducted based on prognostic variables and the effect of risk-adjusted consolidation therapy was investigated by Kaplan-Meier method. Results:Four variables were finally included in our nomogram model after multivariate Cox analysis,and an equation for risk score calculation was obtained,risk score=1.3002×white blood cell (WBC) (≥18.77×109/L)+1.4065×CSF3R mutation positive+2.6489×KMT2A mutation positive+1.0128×DNA methylation-related genes mutation positive. According to the nomogram model,patients were further divided into low-risk group (score=0,n=46) and high-risk group (score>0,n=95). Prognostic analysis showed that the 5-year LFS rate,5-year overall survival (OS) rate,and 5-year cumulative incidence of relapse (CIR) of patients who received allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in the high-risk group were 93.5％,97.1％,and 3.5％,while those in patients who received maintenance chemotherapy were 32.9％,70.5％,and 63.4％,respectively. The differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Allo-HSCT could significantly improve the prognosis of patients in high-risk group. However,no corresponding benefit was observed in the low-risk group. Conclusion:Adult CN-AML with CEBPA-bZIP mutation has a complex co-mutation pattern. The nomogram model based on mutations of CFS3R,KMT2A and DNA methylation-related genes together with WBC count can further divide this subset of patients into a relatively low-risk group and a relatively high-risk group. For individuals in the high-risk group,allo-HSCT is proposed as post-remission therapy. The above data will benefit the prognosis estimation and treatment decision for adult CN-AML with CEBPA-bZIP mutation.

Objective:To investigate the association of serum levels of tumor necrosis factor receptor-related factor 6(TRAF6)and histone deacetylase 3(HDAC3)with severity of coronary artery disease and prognosis in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods:A total of 122 AMI patients admitted Macheng Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital between July 2019 and December 2020 were selected,divided into low score group(n=73,＜20 points)and high score group(n=49,≥20 points)according to Gensini score.Association of serum levels of TRAF6 and HDAC3 with Gensini score was analyzed by Pearson method.According to survival condition during hospitalization within 28d,they were divided into survival group(n=85)and death group(n=37).Cox regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors for death within 28d in AMI patients;receiver operating charac-teristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive efficacy of TRAF6 and HDAC3 for death within 28d in AMI patients.Results:Patients in high score group had significant higher serum levels of TRAF6[(6.01±2.39)μg/ml vs.(5.06±1.74)μg/ml,P=0.012]and HDAC3[(4.14±1.94)ng/ml vs.(2.87±1.37)ng/ml,P＜0.001]compared with low score group.Pearson correlation analysis indicated that serum levels of TRAF6 and HDAC3 were positively correlated with Gensini score(r=0.879,0.837,P＜0.001 all).Patients in death group had significant higher serum levels of TRAF6[(6.89±1.67)μg/ml vs.(4.81±1.24)μg/ml,P＜0.001]and HDAC3[(5.37±1.77)ng/ml vs.(2.52±0.76)ng/ml,P＜0.001]compared with those in survival group.Cox regression analysis indicated that Gensini score[HR=1.857,95％CI 1.259～2.737,P=0.001],TRAF6[HR=1.659,95％CI 1.083～2.543,P=0.022],HDAC3[HR=1.779,95％CI 1.192～2.653,P=0.004]were independent risk factors for death within 28d in AMI patients.ROC curve analysis indicated that AUC of TRAF6,HDAC3 and their combina-tion predicting death within 28d in AMI patients was 0.862,0.859 and 0.971 respectively,and AUC of combination was significantly higher than those of TRAF6 and HDAC3 alone(Z=2.535,2.032,P=0.011,0.042).Conclu-sion:Serum levels of TRAF6 and HDAC3 are closely related to severity of coronary artery disease and prognosis in AMI patients,and dual combination possesses good predictive value for prognosis in AMI patients.

OBJECTIVE To study the repair effect and mechanism of Zhixu burn ointment on deep second-degree burned model rats. METHODS The deep second-degree burned model was established with a temperature-controlled apparatus. The model rats were randomly divided into model group， Jingwanhong ointment group and Zhixu burn ointment high-dose， medium-dose and low-dose groups （specifications were 20 g core+20 mL wetting agent， 10 g core+20 mL wetting agent， 5 g core+20 mL wetting agent， respectively）. Another blank control group （only dehairing treatment， no modeling） was set up， with 10 rats in each group. The rats in each administration group were given corresponding drugs， the rats in the blank control group were not treated， and the rats in the model group were given normal saline once a day for 21 d. The healing of burn wounds and histomorphological changes of burned skin in each group of rats were observed， and the healing rate of wounds was calculated； the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF）， interleukin-1β （IL-1β）， IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α（TNF-α） in the wound skin tissue of rats were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay； immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression levels of VEGF and platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 （CD31） protein in burned skin tissue. RESULTS Compared with model group， the wound area of the rats in the Jingwanhong ointment and Zhixu burn ointment groups gradually decreased and healed significantly by day 21， and the wound healing rate was significantly higher （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）； thicker new epidermal layer was seen in the skin tissue， and connective tissue and new blood vessels were significantly increased in the dermis； the expression levels of IL-1β， IL-6 and TNF-α were significantly decreased （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）， and the expression levels of VEGF and CD31 protein were significantly increased （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01） in the burned skin tissue. CONCLUSIONS Zhixu burn ointment can repair the skin of deep second-degree burned model rats， and the mechanism may be related to reducing the inflammatory response of burn wound and promoting the angiogenesis.

Objective: BMI may play a protective role in reducing the mortality rate of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), but its effect on acute exacerbation of COPD remain unclear. Methods: Subjects were selected from the COPD patients registration system established in 2014 in Pudong new district, Shanghai. COPD patients from 8 communities were selected by cluster sampling and follow up was conducted prospectively for 18 months. Basic information and BMI were obtained from baseline survey, and acute exacerbations were collected during follow-up. The association between BMI and risk of acute exacerbation was evaluated by using multiple negative binomial regression. Results: Among 328 community COPD patients, 295 who completed the follow up were included in the analysis, in whom 96.3% (284/295) were mild COPD patients. During the follow-up, 11.1% (33/295) of the patients reported acute exacerbation. The results of multiple negative binomial regression suggested that, the risk for acute exacerbation decreased with the increase of BMI (IRR=0.85, 95%CI:0.73-0.98), overweight patients with BMI ≥25.0 kg/m² (IRR=0.36, 95%CI:0.13-0.91) or moderate BMI (T₂ vs. T₁, IRR=0.31, 95%CI:0.11-0.77) had lower risk for acute exacerbation compared with the patients with normal or low BMI. BMI had a linear correlation with the risk of acute exacerbation. Conclusion: The risk for acute exacerbation in patients with mild or moderate COPD in communities decreased with the increase of BMI, and being overweight might be a protective factor for the acute exacerbation of COPD.

Objective:To investigate the association between sleep quality and the risk of acute exacerbation in mild and moderate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease （COPD） patients in Pudong New Area of Shanghai. Methods:This was a prospective study involving eligible mild and moderate COPD patients from 10 communities randomly selected in Pudong New District of Shanghai. A structured questionnaire was used to collect demographic characteristics， clinical information and information on acute exacerbation. Sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index （PSQI） in Chinese. Multiple negative binomial regression was used to estimate the association between sleep quality and risk of exacerbation. Results:Altogether 212 mild/moderate COPD patients participated and completed the entire survey， of whom the majority （95.8%） were mild COPD patients， 110 persons female and over half （54.2%） over 65 years old. 32.9% of the patients had poorer sleep quality at baseline. 18.9% of the patients reported exacerbation over the past year during follow-ups. Multiple negative binomial regression suggested that increased PSQI was related to higher risk of exacerbation （RR_ad=1.12， 95%CI：1.02-1.24）， and patients with poorer sleep efficiency had a higher risk of exacerbation （RR_ad=1.66， 95%CI：1.17-5.43）. Conclusion:Poorer sleep quality is associated with a higher risk of exacerbation in community mild/moderate COPD patients， especially in those with problem of sleep efficiency. More attention to sleep disorders is warranted in community management or self-management of patients with COPD.

Objective:To explore the application value of modified Buzhong Yiqitang （BZYQT） in the treatment of postoperative patients with non-small cell lung cancer （Qi deficiency in lung and spleen） after chemotherapy， and to observe its effect on tumor angiogenesis， immune function， tumor indicators， and lung function indicators. Method:Ninety-six patients who were treated in the Kunming municipal hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from March 2018 to February 2020 due to postoperative chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer were selected and assigned into a control group （n=48， western medicine） and an observation group （n=48， western medicine+modified BZYQT） by the random number table. The curative efficacies were compared after the treatment. Result:After treatment， the serum levels of carcinoembryonic antigen （CEA）， cytokeratin 19 fragment 21-1 （CYFRA21-1）， serum insulin-like growth factor-1 （IGF-1）， vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF）， and transforming growth factor（TGF）-β₁ in the observation group were lower than those in the control group （P<0.05）， while the serum CD4⁺/CD8⁺，CD4⁺ cells， immunoglobulin G （IgG） levels， forced expiratory volume in one second （FEV₁），and FEV₁/forced vital capacity （FVC） in the observation group were higher than those in the control group （P<0.05）. A significant difference was observed in the total response rate between the observation group ［56.25% （27/48）］ and the control group ［35.42% （17/48）］ （χ²＝4.191，P<0.05）. For adverse reactions，the incidence of bone marrow suppression（χ²＝4.002）， gastrointestinal reaction （χ²＝7.069），and hepatic and renal injury （χ²＝5.151） was lower in the observation group than in the control group （P<0.05）. Conclusion:For postoperative patients with non-small cell lung cancer （Qi deficiency in lung and spleen） after chemotherapy， western medicine combined with modified BZYQT could ameliorate immune function， promote pulmonary function recovery， improve clinical efficacy， and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.

Objective::To establish the evaluation method of Pinelliae Rhizoma (PR) resources by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and grey correlation degree (GCD) method, so as to explore the differences in quality components, production efficiency and appearance traits of different germplasm resources cultivated in the same environment. Method::The quality component index, efficiency index, and appearance traits index of 15 germplasm resources were measured, including moisture, total ash, extractives, total acid content, harvest index, yield, drying rate, commodity rate, decay rate and deformability of tubers. Based on AHP and grey correlation method, each indicator data was processed in a comprehensive way, its comprehensive correlation value was calculated, and different PR germplasm resources were comprehensively evaluated. Result::Based on three factors-quality composition, production efficiency and appearance traits, the comprehensive correlation value of A6 was the highest, reaching 0.749 4, which was followed by A14, A15, A7, and their comprehensive correlation values were 0.736 6, 0.726 2, 0.718 2, respectively. Therefore, the source of A6 could be used as an excellent provenance introduced to the cultivation of PR, and the provenance of A14, A15, and A7 could be used as a useful supplement. Conclusion::The method of AHP and GCD-based multi-index comprehensive evaluation is simple and comprehensive to evaluate the diversity of different PR germplasm resources, and could provide a reference for the development and utilization of resources and the screening of high-quality provenances.
