With the growing awareness of public health, the value and importance of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) resources have become increasingly prominent. Despite the undeniable significance of TCM in medical treatment and healthcare, the protection, development, and utilization of TCM resources still face numerous challenges. Under the traditional model, the development and utilization of TCM resources heavily rely on manual labor and empirical decision-making, which not only leads to inefficiencies and high costs but also causes serious issues such as unstable drug quality and imbalances in market supply and demand. In the current era of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence(AI) and technology, AI has emerged as a new engine to address many challenges and difficulties throughout the entire TCM resource industry chain. By leveraging AI technology, intelligent management, precise production, and optimized utilization of TCM resources can be achieved, thereby improving efficiency, reducing costs, ensuring stable quality, and balancing market supply and demand. This article primarily explores the application of AI technology in the entire TCM resource industry chain from different perspectives and provides an in-depth analysis of the future development of AI in the TCM industry. It holds significant importance and value in promoting the intelligent development of the TCM sector and facilitating the healthy development of the entire TCM resource industry chain.

An analysis of 24 144 norovirus sequences from Asia and Russia deposited in GenBank between 1995 and 2023 was conducted,to understand the temporal and spatial variations in norovirus genotypes in these regions.Norovirus sequences from Asia and Russia were downloaded in FASTA format from GenBank for the years 1995-2023,and analyzed in Excel,R language, and GraphPad Prism for data visualization. The number of norovirus sequences submitted to GenBank increased annually from 2004 and peaked in 2015.Notably,China and Japan contributed 62.3%of all submitted norovirus sequences. These sequences encompassed 31 capsid genotypes(C-type),with GⅠ accounting for 9%and GⅡ accounting for 90%.Additionally,49 polymerase types(P-type)were identified, along with 68 combinations of CP types;among the analyzed recombinant sequences(4 460 entries in total),approxi-mately 41%belonged to three predominant recombinant strains:GⅡ.2[P16],GⅡ.4[P31],and GⅡ.4[P16].This analysis provides valuable insights into the distribution characteristics of norovirus genotypes across Asia and Russia over time, thereby supporting vac-cine design and evaluation efforts.

AIM To investigate the effects of rice wine type and wine processing method on chemical constituents and anti-coagulation effect of Angelicae sinensis Radix.METHODS Wine-washed products and wine-stir-fried products were prepared by different types and ages of rice wine, respectively, after which HPLC was adopted in the content determination of tryptophan, chlorogenic acid, vanillic acid, phthalic acid, ferulic acid, senkyunolide I,senkyunolide H,coniferyl ferulate and ligustilide, and PT,APTT,TT were detected in rabbit plasma.RESULTS Phenolic acids and volatile constituents demonstrated lower contents in the wine-stir-fried products than those in the raw product(P<0.05),while those in the wine-washed products displayed no obvious changes(except for senkyunolide I)(P>0.05).The contents of volatile constituents in the wine-washed products were higher than those in the wine-stir-fried products(P<0.05).After being processed with dry rice wine, various constituents exhibited increased contents as compared with those after being processed with sweet rice wine(P<0.05).Compared with the raw product, prolonged PT,APTT and TT were observable in the processed products prepared by 3-year semi-dry rice wine(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The optimal rice wine type is determined to be 3-year semi-dry.Wine-washed Angelicae sinensis Radix shows high contents of ferulic acid and volatile constituents, whose activating blood and resolving stasis effect may be stronger.

Objective This study aimed to provide an effective scientific basis for prevention and control of cockroaches on aircrafts by identifying cockroach-carried pathogens, and assess the insecticidal efficacy of gel bait mediated cockroach control on aircrafts,to provide technical guidance for aircraft disinsection. Methods Cassette-trapping was used to trap cockroaches, and the carried pathogens were detected using bacterial cultivation techniques. The gel bait mediated killing rate was calculated after 1,7,and 30 d by field application of gel bait. Results A total of 411 cockroaches were captured, and all were identified as Blattella germanica.26 strains of pathogenic bacteria were isolated from the trapped cockroaches. The killing rates of cockroaches were 58.8%-96.3%with 1-30 day application of gel bait.Statistically significant differences were observed in cockroach killing rates on different days(χ2=58.95,P<0.01).Conclusions B.germanica carry a large variety of pathogenic bacteria and opportunistic pathogens and are thus important infectious disease carriers.Gel bait agents have proven to be very effective against cockroaches on aircrafts.

Objective To summarize the clinical characteristics and genetic variations in children with cystic fibrosis(CF)primarily presenting with pseudo-Bartter syndrome(CF-PBS),with the aim to enhance understanding of this disorder. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of three children who were diagnosed with CF-PBS in Hunan Children's Hospital from January 2018 to August 2023,and a literature review was performed. Results All three children had the onset of the disease in infancy.Tests after admission showed hyponatremia, hypokalemia, hypochloremia, and metabolic alkalosis, and genetic testing showed the presence of compound heterozygous mutation in the CFTR gene. All three children were diagnosed with CF.Literature review obtained 33 Chinese children with CF-PBS,with an age of onset of 1-36 months and an age of diagnosis of 3-144 months.Among these children, there were 29 children with recurrent respiratory infection or persistent pneumonia(88%),26 with malnutrition(79%),23 with developmental retardation(70%),and 18 with pancreatitis or extrapancreatic insufficiency(55%).Genetic testing showed that c.2909G>A was the most common mutation site of the CFTR gene, with a frequency of allelic variation of 23%(15/66).Conclusions CF may have no typical respiratory symptoms in the early stage. The possibility of CF-PBS should be considered for infants with recurrent hyponatremia, hypokalemia, hypochloremia, and metabolic alkalosis, especially those with malnutrition and developmental retardation.CFTR genetic testing should be performed as soon as possible to help with the diagnosis of CF.
