Objective To investigate whether microRNA-21-5p(miR-21)plays a protective role in hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury(HALI)by regulating ferroptosis through the STAT3/P53/SLC7A11 axis. Methods The interaction between STAT3 and P53 was analyzed by co-immunoprecipitation(Co-IP).Fifty 9-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into normoxia(Control)group,HALI group,miR-21 overexpression(miR-21)group,STAT3 inhibitor(HY-13818)group,and ferrostatin-1(Fer-1)group.After the mice from the miR-21 group received miR-21-5p AAV6 or empty vector via tracheal catheter instillation, the animals were then monitored for 3 weeks. The HY-13818 group was intraperitoneally injected with HY-13818(10 mg/kg)3 times weekly for 2 weeks. The Fer-1 group received 0.8 mg/kg ferrostatin-1 via tail vein injection once daily for 2 consecutive days during modeling. The HALI model was established by exposure to>90%oxygen.After 48 h of hyperoxia, blood samples were collected via orbital sampling for RT-PCR analysis of miR-21 expression.Lung tissues were harvested for wet/dry weight ratio and assessment of histopathological changes via HE staining for lung injury score.Activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),Fe2?,glutathione(GSH),and reactive oxygen species(ROS)were measured using photocolorimetry, spectrophotometry and fluorometry.Western blotting was used to evaluate the protein expression of STAT3,P53,SLC7A11,and GPX4.Results The results of Co-IP showed that STAT3 could bind to P53.The HALI group exhibited obviously destroyed alveolar structure, disordered arrangement, thickened interval, with a large number of infiltrated neutrophils and collapsed alveoli, and had significantly increased pathological score of lung injury and ratio of lung Wwet/Ddry weight when compared with the Control group(P<0.05).In the miR-21 group,HY-13818 group and Fer-1 group, the severity of lung injury was significantly reduced, and the pathological score of lung injury and the ratio of Wwet/Ddry weight were decreased(P<0.05)when compared with the HALI group.Compared with the control group, the contents of MDA,Fe2+and ROS were increased(P<0.05),the activity of SOD and content of GSH were declined(P<0.05),the protein levels of STAT3 and P53 were increased(P<0.05),and those of SLC7A11 and GPX4 were decreased(P<0.05)in the HALI group.Compared with the HALI group, decreased MDA and ROS levels(P<0.05),enhanced SOD activity,Fe2+and GSH levels(P<0.05),down-regulation of STAT3 and P53(P<0.05)and up-regulation of SLC7A11 and GPX4(P<0.05)were observed in the miR-21 group and HY-13818 group. Conclusion MiR-21 alleviates HALI,which may be related to its inhibition of ferroptosis through the STAT3/P53/SLC7A11 axis.

OBJECTIVE:
The current fertilization methods for Chinese yam are uneconomic and unfriend to environment. A rational one is very important to achieve desired balance of high yield of Chinese yam, economic and friend to environment. Here, we studied the effects of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizers on the yield of 'Qinfeng' Chinese yam in shallow-groove directional cultivation.
METHODS:
The experiments were conducted in Dehua County, Fujian Province, China using a "3414" optimal design. Overall, three fertilizer factors (N, P, and K) were evaluated at the following four levels: 0, no fertilizer; 1, 0.5-fold the typical rate; 2, typical fertilization rate; and 3, 1.5-fold the typical rate. There were 14 different fertilization treatments.
RESULTS:
Treatment 6 (N2P2K2) produced the longest (75.6 cm) and thickest tubers (4.9 cm) with the highest tuber fresh weight (1311.9 g) and yield (41 015.9 kg/hm2), whereas, treatment 1 produced the shortest (65.6 cm) and thinnest tubers (3.9 cm) with the lowest fresh weight (953.4 g) and yield (28 532.8 kg/hm2) among the 14 fertilizer combinations. The experimental data could be fitted to single-variable quadratic and binary quadratic models but not to a ternary quadratic polynomial model. Appropriate N, P, and K fertilizer application rates increased Chinese yam yield. However, excessive fertilization lowered the yield. Chinese yam yield was significantly and strongly correlated with the amounts of N, P, and K fertilizer applied.
CONCLUSION
Based on the single variable quadratic and binary quadratic models, we propose that the quantities of N, P, and K fertilizer used to grow 1 hm2 'Qinfeng' Chinese yam should be 360-388.3, 90-100.95, and 416.3-675 kg, respectively.
4.Relationship between myopia and nutritional status among upper elementary students in Shanghai
Chinese Journal of School Health 2022;43(1):112-116
Objective:
To explore the relationship between myopia and nutritional status among upper elementary students in Shanghai.
Methods:
A stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 5 576 fourth and fifth grade students from 16 districts in Shanghai, vision test, physical examination and questionnaire survey were administered. Two level multivariate Logistic regression and mixed linear models were used to analyze the relationship between myopia, spherical equivalent (SE) and nutritional status.
Results:
The detection rates of overweight and obesity were 17.0%(949) and 18.7%(1 042), respectively. There was a statistical difference in the proportion of the nutritional status in boys and girls( χ 2=210.94, P <0.01), with overweight and obesity in boys higher than those of girls. The overweight boys were more likely to have myopia (univariate analysis: OR=1.23, P =0.04; multivariate analysis: OR=1.21, P =0.06) than the normal weight boy. Overweight students tended to had more negative refractive than those with normal weight in both boys and girls(multivariate analysis, boys: β =-0.19, girls: β=-0.24, P <0.05). Myopia risk and refractive power in obese students showed no statistical difference with normal weight students( P >0.05).
Conclusion
Overweight students have lower SE than the normal weight among upper elementary students of Shanghai, more researches are needed to confirm this finding and to provide theoretical bases for myopia prevention and control.

Objective:To analyze and compare difference of ultrasonic blood flow of left internal mammary artery(LIMA) and right internal mammary artery(RIMA)as graft to left anterior descending artery(LAD) in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting(OPCABG).Methods:From October 2017 to October 2019, a total of 363 patients who underwent OPCAB including 329 patients in LIMA-LAD group and 34 patients in RIMA-LAD group, were included in this study. Transthoracic ultrasound examination on IMA was performed before OPCABG. The blood flow , the value of PI(pulsation index) and diastolic flow(DF) of LIMA and RIMA to left anterior descending were measured and recorded by intraoperative TTFM. Patients underwent coronary artery CT examinations at 1 week after OPCABG to discover the patency of grafts. Results:The pre-operative diameter of RIMA was larger and the blood flow and pulsation index of RIMA was better than that of LIMA before OPCABG( P<0.001). But there was no significant difference in the flow, pulsation index and DF value of graft between the two groups after IMA were anastomosed to LAD( P>0.05). In situ skeletonized graft of RIMA did not show the advantage of increased blood flow. Compared with the preoperative parameters of flow of internal mammary artery, both the left and right grafts of IMA were significantly better in blood flow and pulsation index( P<0.001). Considering the remarkable difference in age between the two groups, Flow, PI and DF were compared again after propensity score matching, and there was still no statistical difference between the two groups( P>0.05). A total of 313 patients in LIMA-LAD group completed coronary CTA examination one week after surgery, among which 4 grafts had different degrees of problems. A total of 34 patients in RIMA-LAD group completed coronary CTA examination, one case indicated that the CTA imaging in distal segment was not clear, and the other results had no obvious abnormality. There was no significant difference in postoperative rate of coronary CTA completion( P=0.381) and rate of graft failure( P=0.405) between the two groups. Conclusion:Compared with the preoperative parameters of blood flow of internal mammary artery, both the left and right IMA grafts are significantly better in flow and pulsation index. The pre-operative diameter of RIMA is larger and the blood flow and pulsation index of RIMA is better than that of LIMA before OPCABG. But there is no significant difference in the flow, pulsation index and DF value of graft between the two groups after IMA are anastomosed to LAD. In situ skeletonized graft of RIMA do not show the advantage of increased blood flow.

Objective:To observate the changing trend of flow of in-situ bilateral internal mammary artery as grafts during perioperative period in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG), and to compare the parameters of flow between LIMA and RIMA.Methods:A total of 57 patients , 50 males and 7 femails, mean aged(57.8±10.1) years, underwent bilateral IMA CABG in our hospital from August 2016 to January 2019. Transthoracic ultrasound of IMA examination was performed before CABG. The blood flow, the PI(pulsation index) and other parameters were measured and recorded by intraoperative TTFM.Results:There was no significant difference of the average diameter and PI between LIMA and RIMA, but the preoperative flow of RIMA is higher( P=0.026) in our study. There was no significant difference of the average flow and PI between LIMA and RIMA recorded by TTFM( P>0.05), but the higher diastolic flow(DF) in LIMA grafts( P=0.022) compared with RIMA grafts may be associated with the different target sites( P<0.05). Compared with the preoperative flow and PI of IMA, the intraoperative flow and PI of both LIMA and RIMA grafts were better( P<0.001). Conclusion:Compared with the preoperative flow of IMA, both flow of LIMA and RIMA are better. In spite of the targets exist difference , there are no significant difference of the average flow and PI between LIMA graft and RIMA graft recorded by TTFM.

Chinese Journal of Pancreatology 2009;9(6):363-366
Objectives To investigate the role of lymphangiogenesis in the perineural micrometastasis of pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 30 pancreatic adenocarcinoma patients who were admitted from Sep. 2005 to Oct. 2006 for extended radical surgery were collected. The samples including pancreatic cancer, adjacent tissue, lower bile duct, pancreatic tail, the structure surrounding the SMA (peripancreatic nerve plexus) and lymph nodes were collected during operation. They were subjected to conventional pathological examination. The lymphatic capillaries weredetected by double immunohistochemical staining and the lymphatic vessel density ( LVD) was measured. Results Intra-pancreatic and/or peripancreatic neural invasion was observed in 25 patients (83. 3% ) , of which 20 were found to have both the peri-pancreatic and intra-pancreatic neural invasion. The other 5 only had the intrapancreatic neural fiber invasion and there was no single patient with peri-pancreatic neural fiber invasion only. Peri-neural invasion was not significantly associated with patients' age, gender, lymph node metastasis, tumor size and the location (P > 0.05) , but was obviously associated with JPS clinical staging ( P < 0. 05 ). The mean intratumoral LVD was (4.2 ±3.4) per field, which was significantly lower than (11.3 ±6.9) per field of adjacent tissue and (10.8 ±4.4)per field of normal pancreatic tissue(P<0.01). The mean intratumoral LVD between adjacent tissue and normal pancreatic tissue was not statistically different. Lymphatic vessel invasion was observed in non-malignant tissues in 18 patients, and there was a distribution correlation between lymphatic vessel invasion and extra-pancreatic neural plexus invasion (P<0.05). Conclusions The incidence of peri-neural invasion was high, peri-neural invasion was associated with JPS clinical staging and lymphatic vessel invasion, which suggested the possibility of the cancer spreading by peritumoral lymphangiogenesis route into the peri-SMA neural plexuses.

Objective To investigate clinicopathological features、diagnosis and surgical treatment of duodenal stromal tumors. Methods A retrospective clinical analysis was made in 23 cases of duodenal stromal tumors admitted from 1995 to 2004. Results Melena and abdominal pain was the most common presenting symptom. Complete resection was achieved in all cases, including pancreatoduodenectomy in 13 cases, by pylorus-preserving pancreatoduodenectomy in 3 cases, and tumor enucleation in 7 cases. The mean size of the tumor was 6. 6 cm (2 - 21 cm) , among them 10 cm in 6. Pathologically tumors less than 5 cm were all of potential malignancy, whereas those larger than 5 cm were malignant. Follow-up of 2 months to 9 years found all cases alive and healthy except for one who died of liver metastasis one year postoperatively. Conclusion Duodenal stromal tumors were low malignancy tumors. Aggressive surgery is the choice of treatment. Favorable prognosis is expected after complete surgical excision.
