Objective:To analyze the present state and influencing factors of the psychological flexibility of officers and sailors with chronic pain in grass roots units, so as to provide reference for providing psychological interventions for officers and sailors. Methods:A total of 346 naval officers and sailors were selected as research objects by using convenience sampling method, and the states of their chronic pain were investigated and evaluated by using the psychological inflexibility in pain scale (PIPS).Results:The common types of chronic pain in naval officers and sailors were musculoskeletal pain (67.92%), and headache and facies frontalis pain (28.32%). The scores of PIPS were 35.30±13.48. The multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that the influence of pain on emotion was the factor affecting psychological flexibility; the weaker the influence of pain on emotion was, the better the psychological flexibility became. Conclusion:The psychological flexibility of officers and sailors with chronic pain is relatively good. In the future, some targeted measures can be taken to mitigate the effects of pain on emotion, so as to reduce the occurrence of psychological inflexibility, thus improving the therapeutic effect of chronic pain.
