1.Influencing factors of malnutrition in patients with diabetic foot ulcers:a Meta-analysis

Objective To systematically evaluate malnutrition risk factors in diabetic foot patients through systematic review and inform evidence-based nutritional interventions.Methods A top-down search of the literature on risk factors for malnutrition in patients with diabetic foot was conducted according to the"6S"pyramid model,using a computerized decision-making system,clinical guideline websites,professional association websites and databases,with a timeframe of up to March 2025 for the search.Totally 2 researchers independently performed literature screening,quality assessment,and data extraction.Meta-analysis was conducted using Stata 18 software.Results Totally 23 studies with a total sample size of 5 068 cases were included.There were 10 influencing factors being extracted,including age(OR=2.709),BMI(MD=0.709),duration of diabetes mellitus(OR=2.589),glyco-sylated hemoglobin(OR=2.190),albumin(MD=0.578),hemoglobin(OR=2.948),infection(OR=1.816),C-reactive protein(OR=2.228),Wagner classification of diabetic foot(OR=4.620)and degree of self-care(OR=0.220).The incidence of malnutrition in DFU patients who were assessed by the MNA-SF tool,the MNA tool and GLIM tool were 52.2%,70.2%and 41.4%.Conclusion The incidence of malnutrition in DFU patients is relatively high.Healthcare providers should continuously monitor the nutritional status of diabetic foot patients and implement personalized intervention plans to prevent malnutrition.

Under the background of forensic medicine becoming a first-level discipline,the opportuni-ties and challenges of discipline development coexist.Starting from the actual situation and characteris-tics of local medical colleges and universities,this paper discusses the problems and solutions for the development of forensic medicine discipline from the perspective of building a regional high-level medical university.Combined with the experiences of carrying out forensic medicine education in our college,this paper supplies our thoughts and practices on improving the discipline system,enhancing the ability to serve society,perfecting the talent cultivation model and promoting forensic culture,to provide reference and inspiration for the development of forensic medicine in other universities,jointly promote the advancement of forensic medicine in China to a new stage,and contribute the wisdom and strength of forensic medical experts to the construction of a law-based China,a safe China and a healthy China.

Objective To establish a stable,reliable,and clinically relevant porcine model of endotoxin-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).Methods Ten 8-month-old male Bama minipigs were deeply sedated,followed by invasive mechanical ventilation and electrocardiographic monitoring.Lipopolysaccharide(LPS)was intravenously pumped at 600 μg/(kg·h)for 3 hours,then maintained at 15 μg/(kg·h)thereafter.Dynamic monitoring was performed at five time points after LPS injection(LPS 0,1,3,5,and 8 h),including arterial blood gas analysis and chest computed tomography(CT)scans.Pathological examination of lung tissues obtained via bronchoscopic biopsy(HE staining and transmission electron microscopy)was conducted.These indicators were comprehensively used to evaluate the success of the animal model.Results At 5 hours after LPS administration,8 minipigs developed symptoms such as skin cyanosis,elevated body temperature,and respiratory distress.The oxygenation index decreased to<300 mmHg.Chest CT scans showed diffuse pulmonary infiltrates.Histopathology revealed alveolar edema and hyaline membrane formation.Transmission electron microscopy demonstrated disruption of pulmonary blood-air barrier,depletion of lamellar bodies in type Ⅱ pneumocytes,inflammatory cell infiltration,and exudation of plasma proteins and fibrin.Compared with LPS 0 h,at LPS 8 h,the oxygenation index and arterial blood pH were significantly decreased(P<0.001),while blood lactic acid and serum potassium were significantly increased(P<0.05);serum calcium and base excess were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the lung injury score based on HE-stained lung sections was significantly increased(P<0.01).Conclusion The porcine ARDS model established by continuous LPS injection can dynamically simulate the pathophysiological characteristics and typical pathological manifestations of clinical septic ARDS,making it an effective tool to study the pathogenesis,prevention,and treatment strategies of septic ARDS.

Endometriosis is a common estrogen-dependent disease in women of childbearing age,often leading to chronic pelvic pain,infertility,ovarian cancer,and other serious complications,and jeopardizing the health of women.The pathogenesis of endometriosis is complex and involves the alteration of multiple signaling pathways mediated by hormones,immunity,genetics,and the environment,and their interactions.Wnt/β-catenin signaling is involved in the regulation of embryonic development and tissue homeostasis,and it has recently been implicated in the pathogenesis of endometriosis via multiple pathways.This review considers the biological characteristics of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and summarizes the main mechanisms and signaling pathways involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis,as well as the curr-ent research status of the regulation of this signaling pathway by traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of endometriosis.We aim to clarify how the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway affects the development of endometriosis,and suggest that future studies should focus on exploring its potential role as an indicator for the clinical prediction and early diagnosis of endometriosis,thus providing theoretical support for the early diagnosis of this condition and the development of targeted drugs.
5.Research Progress on the Pharmacological Effects of Artesunate in the Prevention and Treatment of Periodontitis

Periodontitis as a common chronic inflammatory oral disease,seriously threatens oral and systemic health.Currently,the clinical conventional treatment options for periodontitis mainly include mechanical therapy and drug therapy.Mechanical treatment,such as scaling and curettage,can to some extent remove dental plaque and tartar,but it was difficult to completely remove bacteria in deep periodontal pockets,leading to inflammation that was prone to recurrence.Traditional drug treatments,such as the use of antibiotics,have limited long-term use due to issues such as drug resistance and side effects,while restricted its long-term use.As an important derivative of artemisinin,artemether has various unique pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory,antibacterial,immune regulation,and promotion of tissue repair.Currently,multiple basic studies have shown that artemether can be used for the treatment of periodontitis.This article reviews the pharmacological effects of artemether in the prevention and treatment of periodontitis,aiming to provide theoretical basis for the clinical treatment of periodontitis and assist in the development of new treatment plans.
6.Effects of networked dyadic mindfulness-based intervention in cancer patients and their caregivers: a scoping review

Objective:To conduct a scoping review of research on the effects of networked dyadic mindfulness-based intervention in cancer patients and their caregivers, to identify the elements of networked dyadic mindfulness-based intervention, and to inform future application of this intervention program in cancer patients and their caregivers.Methods:Using the scoping review methodology as a framework, literature on the effects of networked dyadic mindfulness-based intervention in cancer patients and their caregivers was searched in PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang Data, VIP, and China Biomedical Database. Literature was included and analyzed, and the search time frame was from the establishment of the database to June 18, 2023.Results:A total of 12 articles were included. Forms of networked dyadic mindfulness-based intervention included videoconferencing, internet teleconferencing, mindfulness apps, WeChat, video and audio linking, and so on. The intervention included teaching mindfulness skills, guiding binary interactive exercises, assisting in goal decision-making, integrating individual needs of cancer patients and their caregivers, providing diversified course reminders, and repeating learning pathways. The outcome indicators involved cancer patients, caregivers, dyadic relationship, and feasibility evaluation.Conclusions:The networked dyadic mindfulness-based intervention in cancer patients and their caregivers is feasible and has certain effects. In the future, we can learn from foreign intervention programs to design intervention strategies that are suitable for China's cultural background and scientific, and further improve the effectiveness evaluation indicators to enhance the effect of intervention.
