Chinese Journal of Psychiatry 2025;58(4):303-307
Schizophrenia is a severe chronic disabling disease. Medication alone is often insufficient to effectively reduce the high recurrence rate or mitigate the significant functional impairment. Multiple family therapy (MFT) has been shown to lower recurrence rate and improve patients' social functioning. This article provides a brief review and discussion of research on the role of MFT in schizophrenia treatment, aiming to offer more evidence-based support for patient rehabilitation.
