At present, the cause of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in China has entered a new period of high-quality development. How to strengthen the foundation for the TCM industry from the source is an important issue that deserves the attention of the authorities, industry, and academia. This study systematically analyzed the regulatory system of TCM raw materials and preparations. The study took the TCM industry chain and the product life cycle as a clue and focused on the dimensions of TCM resource protection and plant cultivation(farming), production and quality supervision of TCM raw materials and preparations, and their market access and distribution. It analyzed the current situation of the regulation of TCM raw materials and preparations under the regulatory system of drugs, discussed the main problems, and put forward corresponding suggestions. The results can provide an important reference value for the subsequent improvement of the regulatory system of drugs and the construction of a prominent regulatory system of drugs in accordance with TCM characteristics.

This study was aimed at establishing a method of ultra-fast quantitative PCR for Brucella detection. We used an exogenous recombinant plasmid as the internal reference and targeted the T4SS secretion system,an important Brucella viru-lence factor,to design specific primers and probes. The sensitivity, specificity, and repeatability of this method were evaluated, and a standard curve was constructed. The coincidence rate of detection findings with this method versus quantitative PCR was determined. This method markedly decreased the detection time to only 10 minutes. The standard curve demonstrated a good linear relationship(Y=-3.410 7x+38.357,R2=0.998 5)with a low minimum detection limit of 10 copies/μL.The method exhibited good specificity and did not specifically amplify several common clinical bacteria other than Brucella. The de-tection of three concentrations of positive plasmids yielded coefficients of variation(CVs)of 0.20%to 0.91%,thus demonstra-ting the method's excellent repeatability.Furthermore,140 clinical samples were analyzed concurrently with the fluorescence PCR method, which yielded a 100%compliance rate and consistent results. Our findings indicated that the Brucella ultra-fast quantitative PCR was ultrafast;had high sensitivity, high specificity, and good specificity;and can be used for the clinical de-tection of Brucella and emergency investigation of epidemics. Therefore, this method is valuable for the early diagnosis of Bru-cella.

The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) is a ligand-activated transcription factor that regulates gene expression in a range of cells, including immune and epithelial cells. AhR signaling plays important roles in the immune system in both health and disease states. Tapinarof is a first-in-class small-molecule topical therapeutic AhR modulating agent launched for the treatment of psoriasis. To improve the activity and chemical stability of Tapinarof, a series of 2-phenylchromen-4-one derivatives were designed, synthesized and evaluated as novel AhR agonists. Compounds

Objective:To detect the expression of L-type amino acid transporter 1(LAT1)in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(NHL)tissues, and analyze its effect on clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of patients. Methods:A total of 92 NHL patients who were treated in our hospital from January 2017 to April 2019 were collected. The expression of LAT1 in NHL tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry and compared between patients with different pathological features(including sex,Ann Arbor stage, extranodal infiltration,Ki-67).The risk factors affecting mortality were analyzed using univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to detect the predictive value of percentage of LAT1-positive cells in NHL tissue for patient mortality, and analyzing the effect of percentage of LAT1-positive cells on survival rate.Results:LAT1 was positively expressed in NHL tissue. The high expression rate of LAT1 in Ann Arbor stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ groups were higher than that in Ann Arbor stage Ⅰ group, that in extranodal infiltration group was higher than non-extranodal infiltration group, and that in Ki-67 positive expression group was higher than Ki-67 negative expression group(all P<0.05).The remission rate after 3 courses of treatment in high-LAT1 expression group was 70.7%,which was lower than 91.2%in low-LAT1 expression group(P<0.05).Ann Arbor stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ,extranodal invasion,Ki-67 positive expression and increased expression of LAT1(LAT1-positive cell percentage score ≥ 2)were risk factors for mortality. The cut-off value of percentage of LAT1-positive cells for predicting NHL death was 45.6%,and the area under the ROC curve was 0.905(95%CI:0.897-0.924).The 3-year survival rate of high-LAT1 level group(the percentage of LAT1-positive cells ≥ 45.6%)was 50.00%,which was lower than 78.26%of low-LAT1 level group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression level of LAT1 in NHL tissue increases, which affects Ann Arbor stage and extranodal infiltration of patients.LAT1 is a risk factor for death.

Objective To observe the curative effect of comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)therapy for the treatment of refractory sudden hearing loss(i.e.,suffering sudden hearing loss more than 2 weeks),and to analyze the factors that may affect the prognosis. Methods A retrospective analysis was carried out in 405 hospitalized patients with refractory sudden hearing loss who were treated in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from 2005 to 2022.The patients were all treated by comprehensive TCM therapy including oral administration of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, acupoint seed-pressing application after individualized syndrome differentiation. The overall clinical efficacy was evaluated, and the difference of efficacy in the patients with various courses of disease, degrees of deafness, types of hearing curve, concomitant symptoms and TCM syndrome types, having or not having previous treatment history was analyzed. Results For the 405 patients with refractory sudden hearing loss, the cure rate was 5.7%and the total effective rate was 28.1%.Among the 405 patients, the best efficacy was achieved in the patients with mild hearing loss,low-frequency decline type of hearing curve, and having no previous treatment history, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the efficacy of patients with different courses of disease, with or without concomitant symptoms,or with various syndrome types(P>0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive TCM therapy has a certain effect on refractory sudden hearing loss.Patients with poor efficacy after conventional western medicine can still benefit from the comprehensive TCM therapy.
