Near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS)analysis technology has become an important process analysis tool in industrial and agricultural production, and has been widely used for qualitative and quantitative analysis in the fields of tobacco, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals. To address issues such as poor generalization ability and low prediction accuracy in NIRS modeling,a two-dimensional convolutional neural network(2DCNN)quantitative analysis model based on competitive adaptive reweighted sampling(CARS)and Gramian angular difference field(GADF)(CARS-GADF-2DCNN)was proposed.CARS-GADF-2DCNN used the CARS method to select an optimal wavelength set from the full spectrum, then employed GADF to encode the selection results into two-dimensional images, and finally used 2DCNN for prediction analysis. The 2DCNN model consisted of convolutional layers, parallel convolution modules, flattening layer, and fully connected layers.Simulation experiments were conducted on three public near-infrared(NIR)spectral datasets encompassing soil, tablet, and grain datasets to evaluate the CARS-GADF-2DCNN model. The results demonstrated that, compared to the one-dimensional convolutional neural network(1DCNN),the GADF-2DCNN model achieved 16.74%,23.40%,and 7.13%improvement in prediction accuracy for the soil, tablet, and grain datasets, respectively.Compared to GADF-2DCNN,VCPA-GADF-2DCNN,and IRIV-GADF-2DCNN models, the CARS-GADF-2DCNN model further improved prediction accuracy. For the soil dataset, prediction accuracy improved by 39.00%,30.78%and 4.13%;for the tablet dataset, the improvements were 9.52%,6.94%and 2.56%;for the grain dataset, the improvements were 20.57%,9.85%and 15.66%.In conclusion,CARS-GADF-2DCNN effectively selected the optimal wavelength subset from near infrared spectra, and revealed the latent features between different wavelengths.CARS-GADF-2DCNN addresses the issues of high complexity in prediction models and low prediction accuracy in near infrared spectral modeling, and could be effectively applied to near infrared spectral prediction analysis of different substances.

Solid-phase extraction(SPE)combined with surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)has emerged as a promising analytical technique for detection and analysis of trace components in complex sample matrices.SPE enriches analytes through selective adsorption and solvent elution, effectively increasing the concentration and signal intensity.SERS enables ultra-sensitive and highly selective molecular analysis through the use of SERS-active substrates engineered to amplify Raman signals. The integration of these two techniques overcomes the limitations of conventional Raman spectroscopy in low-concentration detection field, while significantly improving sample preparation efficiency and analytical accuracy. This review provided a comprehensive overview of the characteristics of three SPE-SERS coupling modes, including two-step,one-step,and online integration.Special emphasis was placed on recent advancements in one-step SPE-SERS approaches based on novel functional adsorbent materials such as graphene,metal-organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, and molecularly imprinted polymers.Furthermore, future directions and development prospects of SPE-SERS technology were discussed.

Objective :
To explore the utility of a nomogram integrating contrast-enhanced CT radiomics with clinical features in the preoperative prediction of WHO/ISUP grade for clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC).
Methods:
A total of 214 patients with pathologically proven ccRCC who underwent enhanced CT scan before surgery were retrospectively included. According to the WHO/ISUP grade system, the cases were classified into low-grade(grades Ⅰ-Ⅱ) and high-grade(grades Ⅲ-Ⅳ), and then randomly divided into training and test set with a ratio of 4 ∶1. Regions of interest were segmented from both unenhanced and three-phase enhanced images, and radiomic features were extracted. Feature selection and dimensionality reduction were performed using Spearman rank correlation coefficients and LASSO regression, followed by the construction of the radiomic model with the KNN algorithm. Clinical and semantic imaging features were selected through univariate and multivariate analyses, and a clinical model was developed using the KNN algorithm. The clinical and radiomics signatures were used to construct a combined model and a nomogram was developed. The ROC curve and delong test were used to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the model, while calibration and decision curve analyses assessed its accuracy and clinical applicability.
Results:
8 clinical features and 11 radiomic features were selected. The combined model, integrating these clinical and radiomics signatures, exhibited robust predictive performance with AUC values of 0.887 in the training set and 0.800 in the test set. The calibration curve demonstrated good consistency between the nomogram model and actual outcomes, while decision curve analysis indicated a favorable net benefit for the nomogram.
Conclusion
The nomogram constructed by combining radiomics and clinical signatures can provide evidence for preoperative prediction of ccRCC grade and guide clinical decision-making.

Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis(GIOP) is a serious metabolic bone disease caused by long-term application of glucocorticoids(GCs). Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has unique advantages in improving bone microstructure and antagonizing hormone toxicity. This paper systematically reviews the theoretical research, clinical application, and basic research progress of TCM intervention in GIOP. In terms of theoretical research, the theory of "kidney governing bone and generating marrow" indicates that the kidney is closely related to bone development, revealing that core pathogenesis of GIOP is Yin-Yang disharmony, which can be discussed using the theories of "Yin fire", "ministerial fire", and "Yang pathogen damaging Yin". Thus, regulating Yin and Yang is the basic principle to treat GIOP. In terms of clinical application, effective empirical prescriptions(such as Bushen Zhuanggu Decoction, Bushen Jiangu Decoction, and Zibu Ganshen Formula) and Chinese patent medicines(Gushukang Capsules, Hugu Capsules, Xianling Gubao Capsules, etc.) can effectively increase bone mineral density(BMD) and improve calcium and phosphorus metabolism. The combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine can reduce the risk of fracture and play an anti-GIOP role. In terms of basic research, it has been clarified that active ingredients of TCM(such as fraxetin, ginsenoside Rg_1, and salidroside) reduce bone loss and promote bone formation by inhibiting oxidative stress, ferroptosis, and other pathways, effectively improving bone homeostasis. Additionally, classical prescriptions(Modified Yiguan Decoction, Modified Qing'e Pills, Zuogui Pills, etc.) and Chinese patent medicines(Gushukang Granules, Lurong Jiangu Dropping Pills, Gubao Capsules, etc.) can improve bone marrow microcirculation, promote osteoblast differentiation, and inhibit bone cell apoptosis through multiple pathways, multiple targets, and multiple mechanisms. Through the above three aspects, the TCM research status on GIOP is elucidated in the expectation of providing reference for its diagnosis and treatment using traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment programs.

OBJECTIVES:
To study the clinical characteristics of rashes induced by trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (TMP-SMZ) in children treated for pertussis and to inform safe medication practices.
METHODS:
A retrospective analysis was conducted on 238 children diagnosed with pertussis and treated with TMP-SMZ at Wuhu First People's Hospital from January to August 2024. The incidence and clinical features of rashes were summarized.
RESULTS:
Of 238 children, 34 (14.3%) developed rashes; 19 (55.9%) were boys, and the 5 to <10-year age group accounted for the highest proportion (70.6%, 24/34). A history of allergic disease was present in 50.0% (17/34). Rashes typically appeared on or after day 7 of therapy (82%, 28/34) and were predominantly erythematous or maculopapular eruptions (97%, 33/34); 71% (24/34) were pruritic. Fever occurred in 56% (19/34); among those who were tested for respiratory viruses, 77% (10/13) were positive for viruses such as rhinovirus and adenovirus. After discontinuation of TMP-SMZ, rashes resolved within 3 days in 97% (33/34) of patients (41% within 1 day; 56% within more than 1 but within 3 days). There was no significant difference in rash incidence between photoprotection and non-photoprotection groups (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONS
TMP-SMZ for pertussis can induce rashes, particularly in children aged 5 to <10 years. The eruption is usually a pruritic erythematous or maculopapular rash, with over half of cases accompanied by fever and frequent concomitant viral infections. Most rashes resolve within 3 days after drug withdrawal. The potential association between the rash and sun exposure warrants further investigation.
