Chinese Journal of Radiological Health 2026;35(1):141-147
This paper primarily reviews the current research status of passive and active monitoring methods for interventional radiology personnel, encompassing the types and wearing positions of personal dosimeters, simulation results versus measured outcomes, and discrepancies between different simulation results. By reviewing domestic and international literature, it lists effective dose estimation formulas for single- and dual-dosimeter systems developed by various researchers worldwide. Recommendations are proposed based on the current dosimeter wearing practices among interventional radiology staff, providing reference for the formulation of relevant standards.

AIM:To explore the efficacy and safe-ty of fecal microbiota transplantation combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)for malig-nant tumor patients with failed multi line anti-tu-mor treatment and concomitant cachexia, and to explore the changes in blood immunity and intesti-nal microbial environment in patients.METHODS:Five patients with malignant tumors who failed multi line anti-tumor treatment were enrolled and treated with ICIs combined with fecal microbiota transplantation. The efficacy was evaluated every 2-3 cycles, and adverse reactions were observed.Fe-cal 16srRNA gene sequencing and serum immuno-logical indicators were dynamically detected.RE-SULTS:Except for one patient who died 2.5 months after transplantation due to excessive tumor bur-den at enrollment, the overall survival of the re-maining four patients were extended(7.4,8.3,28.5,52.3 months). One patient with multiple intra-cranial metastases of lung adenocarcinoma signifi-cantly reduced the intracranial metastasis after in-testinal microbiota transplantation and almost dis-appeared.The serum IL-2,IL-10,TGF-β and other indicators of patients increased rapidly and then slowly decreased with the increase of transplanta-tion time, and finally were higher than before trans-plantation,with statistical differences.16srRNA gene sequencing analysis revealed significant differ-ences in the overall distribution of gut microbiota in patients after transplantation, gradually ap-proaching healthy transplant donors. All patients did not experience grade 2 or above adverse reac-tions,and the safety was good.CONCLUSION:For patients with malignant tumors, the combination of fecal microbiota transplantation and immuno-therapy may improve their quality of life, serum im-mune environment, and intestinal microbiota com-position,have a positive impact on survival progno-sis,and are safe and controllable, opening up new treatment methods for end-stage patients.

Objective To evaluate the effects of transcatheter aortic valve replacement(TAVR)on left ventricular reverse remodeling(LVRR)and outcomes in patients with mixed aortic valve disease(MAVD)and predominant aortic stenosis(AS).Methods Patients undergoing TAVR at our center between January 2020 and December 2022 were enrolled consecutively.Propensity score matching(PSM)(1∶1 ratio)was used to reduce selection bias.Transthoracic echocardiography(TTE)was used to monitor left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and other structural parameters over time. The study outcome was a composite of cardiovascular death and rehospitalization due to cardiovascular causes.Linear mixed-effects models and logistic regression were utilized for comparing echocardiographic changes across groups and identifying independent risk factors for no-LVRR,respectively.Results After PSM,126 patients were included.MAVD group exhibited larger structural parameters(left ventricular end-systolic/end-diastolic diameter and volume, left ventricular mass index)and a lower left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)(all P<0.05).However,more pronounced improvements in left ventricular structure and hemodynamics were observed during follow-up.Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that the left ventricular mass index(LVMI)was an independent predictor of left ventricular reverse remodeling(LVRR)after TAVR,whereas persistent moderate or greater mitral regurgitation(MR)and paravalvular leak(PVL)significantly reduced the incidence of LVRR.During a median follow-up period of 23 months,a total of 31 endpoint events occurred, and there was no statistically significant difference in long-term prognosis between the two groups(Log-rank P=0.330).Conclusions Compared to patients in the AS group, those in the MAVD group exhibited more severe left ventricular remodeling before TAVR.However, more significant LVRR was observed during postoperative follow-up.Additionally,the long-term prognosis was comparable between the two groups.

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)play a crucial role in tissue repair and regeneration, and the extracellular vesicle(EV)released by them holds great promise for applications in clinical biomarkers, vaccines, and drug delivery.However,MSCs-derived EV(MSCs-EV)face challenges such as low pro-duction yield, poor retention, and targeted delivery issues.There-fore,engineering MSCs-EV to enhance their performance and en-able visual research has become a hot topic.Curcumin(CUR),an active component in traditional chinese medicine, exhibits pharmacological effects but has limited bioavailability.Using MSCs-EV as a carrier for CUR delivery can address its solubility and bioavailability challenges. This article reviews the drug loading methods, engineering strategies of MSCs-EV,and their important applications in the delivery and treatment of CUR for cartilage injury diseases. It provides a basis for the clinical ap-plication of engineered MSCs-EV in CUR delivery for cartilage repair, offering potential solutions to the challenges in cartilage tissue repair.
