Objective:To investigate the technical application pathways of artificial intelligence(AI)in laboratory information management systems(LIMS)and its role in promoting laboratory management efficiency and intelli-gence.Methods:Through the integration of traditional AI technologies(e.g.,machine learning,computer vision)with large language models,this study demonstrated the application of various AI technologies in scenarios such as intelligent Q&A for local knowledge bases,comprehensive review of inspection processes,intelligent data visualization,and image recognition.Results:Through the implementation of AI applications in laboratory settings,AI significantly enhanced management efficiency:the intelligent Q&A system achieved over 90%accuracy,auto-mated inspection processes reduced manual workload by 40%,and image recognition precision reached 89%-100%.Conclusion:AI provides efficient and precise solutions for laboratory management via multimodal integration and process optimization.Future efforts should focus on strengthening data security and model interpret-ability to promote comprehensive intelligent development.

3.Investigation and analysis of pharmaceutical management in compact medical consortium of Guangdong province

OBJECTIVE To investigate the current situation of pharmaceutical management in compact medical consortium of Guangdong province, and to provide decision-making basis for promoting the high-quality construction and sustainable development of the provincial medical consortium. METHODS A self-designed questionnaire was used to select 50 compact medical consortiums in Guangdong province. The survey was answered by the heads of the pharmacy department of the general hospitals. The survey covered the basic scale of the consortium, the appointment of chief pharmacists, the implementation of pharmaceutical management and pharmaceutical care homogenization within the consortium, the difficulties in promoting the homogenization, and the expected provincial support. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed on the survey results. RESULTS A total of 50 questionnaires were collected, and the effective recovery rate was 100%. There were 16 chief pharmacists (32.00%) in charge of the pharmacy department of the general hospital in the medical consortium. Thirty-seven medical consortiums (74.00%) had established a drug supply support system within the consortium, 35 medical consortiums (70.00%) had carried out pharmaceutical management and coordination work within the medical consortium, 23 medical consortiums (46.00%) had established a clinical medication guidance system, 25 medical consortiums chenwenying2016@163.com (50.00%) had established a bidirectional communication mechanism, and only 8 medical consortiums (16.00%) had developed new models of pharmaceutical care. At present, the difficulties in promoting the homogenization of pharmaceutical management and pharmaceutical care within the medical consortium were mainly found in three aspects: the wide gap in management level of each member unit, the lack and uneven level of pharmaceutical personnel, and insufficient policy support and implementation. Most medical consortiums hoped that relevant departments could promote the homogenization of pharmaceutical work by holding special training courses or special supervision. CONCLUSIONS At present, the compact medical consortium in Guangdong province has achieved initial results in the implementation of the chief pharmacist system, the homogenization of pharmaceutical management and pharmaceutical care. However, it is still necessary to improve the coverage of chief pharmacist appointments in the medical consortium, implement the homogenization of pharmaceutical management, and accelerate the homogenization process of pharmaceutical care.
4. Didymin attenuates doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity by inhibiting oxidative stress

Objective: This study was designed to investigate the protective effects of didymin (Did) on doxorubicin (DOX)-induced cardiotoxicity. Methods: After pretreatment with Did (2, 4, 8 mg/kg intraperitoneal i.p.) for 7 d, the male C57 mice were injected with single dose of DOX (20 mg/kg i.p.). The cardioprotective effect of Did was observed on the 7th day after DOX treatment. Results: DOX delayed body growth and caused cardiac tissue injury, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction. Similar experiments in H9C2 cardiomyocytes showed that DOX reduced cell viability, increased generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and fragmentation of DNA, decreased mitochondrial membrane potential, and induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis. However, all of these adverse effects were suppressed by Did pretreatment. Did increased protein expression of glutamate-L-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit (GCL), heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1), and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2). Besides, Did also induced activation of PI3K/AKT. Conclusion: These findings indicated Did prevented DOX-induced cardiac injury and apoptosis via activating PI3K/AKT/Nrf2 signaling pathway.
5. Incidence and mortality risk factors of acute kidney injury in critical ill pregnancies: a single center retrospective analysis

Objective:
To evaluate the incidence and mortality risk factors of pregnancy-related acute kidney injury (PR-AKI) in intensive care unit (ICU).
Methods:
A retrospective analysis was conducted. Critically ill pregnancies admitted to ICU of Shandong University Affiliated Provincial Hospital from January 1st, 2012 to December 31st, 2016 were enrolled. Based on the Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO)-acute kidney injury (AKI) criteria, patients were divided into two groups: PR-AKI group and non-PR-AKI group. Clinical characteristics and laboratory data of two groups were compared. Risk factors of incidence and mortality of PR-AKI patients were analyzed, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to evaluate the value of these risk factors in predicting mortality of PR-AKI patients in ICU.
Results:
①A total of 219 pregnancies in ICU were included in the analysis, 85 cases (38.8%) were diagnosed with PR-AKI, with 29.4% in AKI stage 1, 27.1% in AKI stage 2 and 43.5% in AKI stage 3. ②Nineteen of 219 critically ill pregnancies died in ICU, the total ICU mortality was 8.7%. RESULTS:

(2) Nineteen of 219 critically ill pregnancies died in ICU, the total ICU mortality was 8.7%. The mortality of PR-AKI group was higher than non-PR-AKI group (16.5% vs. 3.7%, P = 0.003). The mortality was worsened with increasing severity of AKI (4.0% for AKI stage 1, 4.3% for AKI stage 2, 32.4% for AKI stage 3). (3) Acute fatty liver of pregnancy (AFLP) and lactate (Lac) were the independent risk factors for PR-AKI [AFLP: odds ratio (OR) = 6.081, 95% confidence interval (95%CI) was 1.587-23.308, P = 0.008; Lac: OR = 1.460, 95%CI was 1.078-1.977, P = 0.014]. (4) Age, Lac, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II) and sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) were the independent risk factors associated with the mortality of PR-AKI patients in ICU (age: OR = 1.130, 95%CI was 1.022-1.249, P = 0.017; Lac: OR = 1.198, 95%CI was 1.009-2.421, P = 0.039; APACHE II: OR = 1.211, 95%CI was 1.102-1.330, P < 0.001; SOFA: OR = 1.411, 95%CI was 1.193-1.669, P < 0.001). (5) ROC curve analysis showed that age, Lac, APACHE II score and SOFA score all had good predictive values for in-hospital mortality among PR-AKI patients in ICU, the cut-off value was 29 years old, 3.8 mmol/L, 16 and 8, respectively, and the AUC was 0.751, 0.757, 0.892 and 0.919, respectively (all P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONS
The incidence and mortality of PR-AKI of critically ill pregnancies in ICU are high. Increased age, Lac, APACHE II score and SOFA score are independent risk factors associated with the mortality of PR-AKI patients in ICU, and have good predictive values for prognosis.

7.Revision and evaluation of reliability and validity of the parental version of Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture

Objective? To revise the English version of Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC) into Chinese, evaluate the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, and analyze its applicability to parents of pediatric patients. Methods? The parental version HSOPSC was formulated based on expert consultation and a pilot study. A total of 643 parents were recruited using convenience sampling method from 3 ClassⅢ Grade A hospitals in Jiangsu province from November 2017 to February 2018. 562 valid samples were collected with a response rate of 90.2%. Item analysis including critical ratio method, Pearson correlation coefficient, homogeneity check, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's α and test-retest reliability coefficient were used to perform item screening and evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale. Results? All 14 items of parental version HSOPSC were retained. The scale-content validity index (S-CVI) was 0.93; Exploratory factor analysis indicated that the parental version HSOPSC consisted of 4 factors which explained of 65.001% of total variance; The internal consistency reliability coefficients were 0.845 for total scale; Test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.893 for the total scale. Conclusions? The parental version of HSOPSC meet the requirement of psychometrics with good discriminative ability, reliability and validity, which could be used as a tool measuring parents' perspective of hospital safety culture.

Tung tree (Vernicia fordii) is an economically important woody oil plant that produces tung oil rich in eleostearic acid. Here, we report a high-quality chromosome-scale genome sequence of tung tree. The genome sequence was assembled by combining Illumina short reads, Pacific Bio-sciences single-molecule real-time long reads, and Hi-C sequencing data. The size of tung tree gen-ome is 1.12 Gb, with 28,422 predicted genes and over 73% repeat sequences. The V. fordii underwent an ancient genome triplication event shared by core eudicots but no further whole-genome duplication in the subsequent ca. 34.55 million years of evolutionary history of the tung tree lineage. Insertion time analysis revealed that repeat-driven genome expansion might have arisen as a result of long-standing long terminal repeat retrotransposon bursts and lack of efficient DNA deletion mechanisms. The genome harbors 88 resistance genes encoding nucleotide-binding sites;17 of these genes may be involved in early-infection stage of Fusarium wilt resistance. Further, 651 oil-related genes were identified, 88 of which are predicted to be directly involved in tung oil biosynthesis. Relatively few phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase genes, and synergistic effectsbetween transcription factors and oil biosynthesis-related genes might contribute to the high oil content of tung seed. The tung tree genome constitutes a valuable resource for understanding genome evolution, as well as for molecular breeding and genetic improvements for oil production.
9.Effect of ischemic postconditioning on IL-6 and ATP level during renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in obstructive jaundice rats

Objective To investigate the apoptosis effect of ischemic postconditioning on levels of IL-6 and ATP during renal ischemia/reperfusion injury in obstructive jaundice rats. Methods One hundred SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: the Sham control group , I/R group , OJ-Sham group , OJ-I/R group , and OJ- I/R+IPO group, with 20 cases in each group. According to the time after ischemia/reperfusion, each group was divided into four subgroups (n = 5), with reperfusion time of 0 h, 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, respectively. After 1 week of biliary obstruction , rats were sacrificed at 0 h , 1 h , 3 h , 6 h post-I/R , and the left kidneys were taken, renal tissue was used for determination of the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and adenosinetriphosphate (ATP). Results Compared with the OJ-I/R group, the serum level of BUN,Cr decreased significantly in the OJ-I/R-IPO group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Ischemic postconditioning can reduce the injury of kidney ischemia-reperfusion in OJ rais , which may be related to the reduced inflammation reaction and the energy metabolism in the kidney.
10.Intragastric administration of interferon-α-transformed Bifidobacterium promotes lymphocyte proliferation and maturation in mice.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of intragastric administration of human interferon-α (hIFN-α)-transformed Bifidobacterium on immune functions of mice.
METHODSThe E.coli-Bifidobacterium shuttle expression vector containing hIFN-α gene was constructed and transformed into Bifidobacterium. The hIFN-α-transformed Bifidobacterium suspension (1010 /ml) was prepared after induction with 0.2% L-arabinose for hIFN-α expression and administered intragastrically in male Balb/C mice at the dose of 0.1 ml every other day for 2 weeks, with the mice receiving empty vector-transformed Bifidobacteria as the negative control and those having an equal volume of saline as the blank control. The percentages of mononuclear cell subsets in the thymus, spleen and blood were detected in the mice by flow cytometry, and the serum levels of IL-4, IL-12, IFN-γ and TNF-α were assayed using mouse cytokine FlowCytomix Kit.
RESULTSThe percentages of CD3⁺CD8⁺ and CD4⁺CD8⁺ cells in the thymus, CD3⁺CD4⁺, CD3⁺CD8⁺ and CD4⁺CD8⁺ cells in the spleen, and CD3⁺CD8⁺ cells in the blood all increased significantly in IFN group as compared with those in the negative and blank control groups (P<0.01 or 0.05). The serum level of IFN-γ also increased significantly (P<0.05) while IL-4 level remained unchanged in IFN group compared with those in the two groups.
CONCLUSIONIntragastric administration of hIFN-α-transformed Bifidobacterium promotes lymphocyte proliferation and maturation and increases the serum levels of Th1 cytokines in mice.
