Objective To explore the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution, functional connectivity(FC)of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPFC),and fluid intelligence in university students to elucidate the mind-body relationship from a modern perspective of TCM.Methods From October 2023 to December 2023,a total of 96 college students of Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine were included, and Classification and Identification of Constitution in Traditional Chinese Medicine:ZYYXH/T 157-2009,Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices(RAPM)and resting-state functional near-infrared spectroscopy were used to evaluate TCM constitution, fluid intelligence, and FC of DLPFC.The differences in fluid intelligence between individuals with biased and balanced constitutions were compared using t-tests,and the associations among the TCM Constitution,RAPM score, and the FC between the left and right DLPFC were explored using partial correlation analysis. Results The tendency toward blood-stasis type and a dampness-heat type were positively correlated with the RAPM scores.College students with a tendency toward blood-stasis type exhibited significantly higher RAPM scores than those with a balanced constitution(P<0.05).Additionally,significant negative correlations were observed between the tendencies toward blood-stasis and yin-deficiency types and the FC of the bilateral DLPFC.In contrast,a significant positive correlation was observed in individuals with balanced constitution tendencies. Conclusion The tendency toward blood-stasis type is associated with fluid intelligence levels and DLPFC functional activity in college students. This finding suggests that students with higher intelligence levels are more likely to exhibit blood-stasis type, highlighting the need for appropriate adjustments and interventions.

Objective To analyze the dynamic changes in serum adiponectin (APN) levels after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and its relationship with heart failure (HF) and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). Methods A total of 124 AMI patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were enrolled as AMI group. Additionally, 30 patients with non-AMI coronary artery disease and 30 healthy individuals were included in non-AMI coronary artery disease group and healthy group, respectively. General information such as age, gender, smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, diabetes, and blood lipids were recorded for all subjects. Serum APN levels were measured using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method; plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) levels were determined by immunofluorescence; and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was assessed using echocardiography. Changes in serum APN levels and its relationship with BNP, LVEF, and MACE were recorded during a one-year follow-up period. Results AMI patients had lower serum APN levels than those in the non-AMI coronary artery disease group and the healthy group, while levels of total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C); Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2), and the proportions of smokers and diabetics were higher(

Objective To investigate the rehabilitation effect of folic acid, intravenous and oral lipoic acid sequential therapy combined with plantar acupoint massage on treatment of patients with high-risk diabetic foot (DF).Methods A total of 120 patients with high-risk DF were randomly divided into 4 groups. The control group was given routine therapy of diabetes.Besides the basic treatment, folic acid was given in the folic acid group. On the basis of the folic acid group, lipoic acid was used in lipoic acid group with oral taken after two weeks of intravenous drip. The massage group was treated with plantar acupoint massage on the basis of the lipoic acid group, and the treatment course was 6 months. The Toronto symptom and sign score, the brachial ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV),the ankle brachial ratio (ABI) and the score of life quality of four groups were compared before and after the intervention. Results The homocysteine and the baPWV in the folic acid group, the lipoic acid group and the massage group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.01).Except for the folic acid group,The Toronto symptom and sign score in the other two groups was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.01).Except for the folic acid group,ABI of the lipoic acid group and the massage group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.01).The score of life quality in the lipoic acid group and the massage group were significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.01).The oxidized low density lipoprotein in the lipoic acid group and the massage group were significantly lower than that in other two groups (P < 0.01).Conclusion Folic acid, intravenous and oral lipoic acid sequential therapy combined with plantar acupoint massage can improve the effect of DF patients.
