Objective: To examine the association of physical activity with cognitive function and mental health among primary school students based on latent subgroup identification and dose response modeling, and to clarify cognitive-psychological profiles and the protective role of physical exercise, so as to provide evidence based support for physical exercise promoting mental health among primary school students. Methods: A study was conducted among 546 primary school students aged 8-12 years old from a primary school in Shanghai from March to June 2025. Physical fitness indicators, including vital capacity, 50 m sprint, sit and reach, and 1 min rope skipping were measured. Physical exercise was assessed by using the Physical Activity Rating Scale-3 (PARS-3), and mental health was assessed by using the Revised Child Anxiety and Depression Scale, 47-item version (RCADS-47). Cognitive function was assessed by using Stroop, N-back, and task-switching tasks. Latent profile analysis (LPA) was performed for cognitive-psychological health of primary school students based on seven cognitive indicators and six psychological indicators. Multivariable Logistic regression, trend test, and restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis were used to examine associations between physical exercise and psychological highrisk status. Results: Five cognitive psychological health subgroups were identified:high symptom and impaired cognition group ( n =40, 7.3%), low cognition and low symptom group ( n =108, 19.8% ), and high cognition and high symptom group ( n =110, 20.2%), cognitive advantage and psychologically healthy group ( n = 272, 49.8%), and extremely high symptom and cognitively vulnerable group ( n =16, 2.9%). Among them, the high symptom and impaired-cognition group and extremely high symptom and cognitively vulnerable group were classified as psychologically high risk types. Significant differences were observed across subgroups in psychological symptoms, cognitive function, some physical fitness indicators and physical exercise level, except for body weight, body mass index, and sit and reach ( F =2.64-297.53, all P < 0.05). The results of the multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that high level sports, including high total volume of physical exercise, single session duration >30 min, high intensity, and frequency ≥3 times/week, was associated with lower psychological high risk status ( OR =0.20, 0.36, 0.33, 0.40, all P <0.05). Trend analysis showed that total volume of physical exercise and single session exercise duration were negatively associated with psychological high risk status among primary school students ( OR =0.98, 0.79, both P trend <0.05). RCS analysis showed no statistically significant overall or nonlinear association between total volume of physical exercise and psychological high risk status ( χ 2=2.92, 0.01, both P >0.05). Conclusions Cognitive-psychological health among primary school students is heterogeneous. Physical exercise is associated with psychological health improvement and may show a threshold effect, with total volume of physical exercise and single session exercise duration being the key dimensions.

Background The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is a vast area with a wide array of ecological environments, resulting in considerable regional variations in air pollution characteristics. Current research is limited by a scarcity of systematic, region-wide studies and risk assessments. Objective To assess the health risks associated with inhalation exposure to nine heavy metal and metalloid elements in atmospheric fine particulate matter (PM_2.5) for the population of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Methods From the 10th to the 16th of each month throughout 2023, atmospheric PM_2.5 samples were collected at designated monitoring sites in 12 leagues (cities) across the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to analyze the characteristics and trends in concentration. The health risk assessment model developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency was employed to evaluate both the non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks associated with the heavy metal elements beryllium (Be), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), hydrargyrum (Hg), plumbum (Pb), manganese (Mn), and nickel (Ni) and the metalloid elements stibium (Sb) and arsenic (As). Results In 2023, a total of 1206 valid PM_2.5 samples were analyzed from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The annual average PM_2.5 concentrations in Inner Mongolia, as well as in the cities of Ordos, Wuhai, and the Alxa League, all exceeded the national limit of 35 μg·m⁻³. The PM_2.5 concentrations across the leagues (cities) exhibited a clear seasonal variation, peaking in winter, followed by spring, and reaching a minimum in summer and autumn. The median PM_2.5 concentration in Ordos throughout the year was higher than that in the other leagues (cities) of the region. Concerning health risks, the non-carcinogenic risks associated with the 9 elements detected in each league (city) were all below 1, indicating acceptable levels. However, the non-carcinogenic risk values for Mn, Cr, and As were relatively high; specifically, Ordos City displayed the highest non-carcinogenic risk values for Mn (7.74×10⁻¹) and Cr (2.97×10⁻²), while Chifeng City recorded the highest value for As (2.34×10⁻³). The carcinogenic risk values for As, Cd, Cr, and Ni fell within the range of 1×10⁻⁹ to 1×10⁻⁵, representing an acceptable level. The health risks varied with age, and the elderly residents faced the highest non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic health risks. Conclusion While the carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks from heavy metals and metalloids within atmospheric PM_2.5 in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are generally within acceptable limits, the potential risks that Mn, As, and Cr pose to the health of elderly people warrants particular attention, and Ordos and Chifeng cities exhibit notably higher health risks among other areas. It is recommended that regular, long-term monitoring be conducted, taking into account the specific conditions at monitoring sites across each league (city), and that targeted air quality management strategies be implemented to protect public health.

Objective To explore the relationship between the expression levels of adenosine triphosphate binds to the box transporter C4(ABCC4)and microRNA-125b-5p(miR-125b-5p)and survival 3 years after surgery in prostate cancer(PCa)tissue.Methods A total of 60 patients with PCa diagnosed in Huanghua People's Hospital from November 2017 to February 2020 were selected,and PCa tissues(PCa group)and pa-racancer tissues(control group)were collected intraoperatively.The expression levels of ABCC4 mRNA,miR-125b-5p and ABCC4 in the samples were detected;the patients were followed up for 3 years.The correlation between the expression levels of ABCC4 mRNA and miR-125b-5p in PCa tissues,their relationship with clini-copathological features and prognosis,and the factors affecting the prognosis of PCa patients,the predictive value of both for 3-year survival of patients were analyzed.Results The expression level and positive rate of ABCC4 mRNA in PCa group were higher than those in control group,and the expression level of miR-125b-5p was lower than that in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The expres-sion level of ABCC4 mRNA and miR-125b-5p in PCa tissue was negatively correlated(P＜0.05).The expres-sion level of ABCC4 mRNA and miR-125b-5p in PCa tissue was related to tumor stage,serum prostate specific antigen,Gleason score and tumor metastasis(P＜0.05).The 3-year cumulative survival rate of patients in the ABCC4 mRNA high expression group and the miR-125b-5p low expression group was lower than that in the ABCC4 mRNA low expression group and the miR-125b-5p high expression group,respectively,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The expression level of ABCC4 mRNA in the PCa tissue in death group was higher than that in survival group,and the expression level of miR-125b-5p was lower than that in survival group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).High expression of ABCC4 mRNA and low expression of miR-125b-5p were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in PCa patients(P＜0.05).Compared to the area under the curve(AUC)predicted by ABCC4 mRNA and miR-125b-5p alone for 3-year survival in PCa patients,the combined prediction of the two had a higher AUC(P＜0.05).Conclu-sion ABCC4 is highly expressed and miR-125b-5p is low expressed in PCa patients'cancer tissues,and the combination of the two has a high predictive power for 3-year survival in PCa patients.

Objective : To study the neuropathological changes and process brain astrocyte microglia and neuron injury in rats at different time after mild blast-related traumatic brain injury(bTBI), and to investigate the neuroprotective potential of dietary supplementation with fish oil on mild bTBI rats. Methods : 54 newly weaned SD rats were randomly divided into control group(n=18), model group(n=18) and treatment group(n=18). The model group and treatment group were fed with ordinary diet and oil-rich diet for 33 days to establish the mild bTBI model by shock wave, respectively. The control group rats were fed with ordinary diet without shock wave injury. Results : Compared with control group, the weight of rats in the model group and treatment group decreased to a certain extent within 2 days after injury, and then recovered to the level before injury. After bTBI injury for 6 h, 24 h and 3 d, the number of GFAP positive staining astrocytes and vertebral cells in hippocampal area decreased in both model group and treatment group, whereas the number of activated microglia and apoptotic neurons in the hippocampus increased in a time-dependent manner in model group and treatment group. In addition, compared with the model group, the treatment group with oil-rich diet increased the number of astrocytes and pyramidal cells in the hippocampus after injury, and decreased the number of activated microglia and apoptotic neurons in the lesions area. Conclusion Pre-injury dietary supplementation with fish oil shows neuroprotective benefits in alleviating neurons injury and inhibiting neuroinflammatory response in a rat model of mild bTBI.

Objective:To report our experience in treatment of patients with orthopaedic trauma during COVID-19 epidemic.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the 67 patients with orthopedic trauma who had been treated at Department of Orthopaedics, Peking Union Medical College Hospital from February 1 to March 31, 2020. After screening for COVID-19 infection was performed under strict protection, the patients were diagnosed and assigned to outpatient emergency treatment or hospitalization according to their specific condition. Twenty-six patients were treated at the outpatient emergency department. They were 8 males and 18 females with an average age of 69.5 years. Of them, 6 with vertebral compression fracture were placed on bed brakes, 14 with limb fracture immobilized after close reduction, 2 with skin laceration treated with debridement and suture, and 4 with hip fracture immobilized in bed. In the 41 hospitalized patients, there were 14 males and 27 females with an average age of 68.5 years. In them, hemiarthroplasty was performed for 7 femoral neck fractures, kyphoplasty for 5 vertebral compression fractures, total elbow arthroplasty for one humeral intercondylar fracture, exploration and suture for one case of Achilles tendon rupture, and internal fixation surgery for the remaining 27 cases.Results:Most of the patients had osteoporotic fractures which accounted for 61.5% (16/26) of the outpatients and 68.3% (28/41) of the inpatients, respectively. The duration from injury to surgery averaged 2.3 days and the length of hospitalization 4.5 days for the 41 hospitalized patients, decreased compared with the corresponding data (3.1 days and 11.5 days) for the similar inpatients in the same period last year. In the 41 inpatients, fever was observed upon hospitalization in 4 cases and after operation in 26 cases, and related to their primary injury or surgical trauma in all. Acute pulmonary embolism happened during operation in one patient with femoral shaft fracture.Conclusions:The prevention and control of COVID-19 should be continued. The awareness and behavior of health care providers are expected to be enhanced by strict screening protocol, protection and supervision. The proportion of elderly patients with osteoporotic fracture increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Shortage of blood was the major problem affecting the treatment. Timely surgical treatment should be indicated for the patients with orthopedic trauma, especially those with lower extremity fracture.

Objective To assess the curative effect of different therapeutic regimen in perimenopausal and postmenopausal pa-tients with depressive disorder ,in order to guide clinical work .Methods Relevant literatures were collect by retrieving a number of online database ,,screen documents independent ,the randomized controlled trial(RCT) and cohort study were included ,and carried on the quality evaluation and data extractione ,then completed the Meta analysis .Results 19 papers were inclouded (2 312 cases) , including 10 RCT papers and 9 cohort papers .There was no statistically significant difference for cure rate (RR=1 .15 ,P=0 .07) , the difference of effective rate had statistically significant (RR=1 .17 ,P=0 .005) .Hormone in combination with antidepressants compared with hormone replacement therapy :the difference of cure ratio (RR=1 .73 ,P=0 .003) and effective rate (RR=1 .52 , P<0 .01) all had statistically significant .The difference of effective rate between antidepressants and hormone replacement therapy had statistically significant (RR=1 .37 ,P=0 .003) .Hormone replacement therapy compared with placebo :the difference of cure rate had statistically significant(RR=2 .17 ,P=0 .03) ,the difference of effective rate had no statistically significant (RR= 0 .78 ,P=0 .15) .Conclusion Although the hormone replacement therapy has a positive effect on the mood ,it′s promoting effect on the anti-depressant of perimenopausal and postmenopausal women is uncertain .
