ObjectiveBased on functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), we investigated the brain activity characteristics of gross motor tasks in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and motor dysfunctions (MDs) to provide a theoretical basis for further understanding the mechanism of MDs in children with ASD and designing targeted intervention programs from a central perspective. MethodsAccording to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 48 children with ASD accompanied by MDs were recruited into the ASD group and 40 children with typically developing (TD) into the TD group. The fNIRS device was used to collect the information of blood oxygen changes in the cortical motor-related brain regions during single-handed bag throwing and tiptoe walking, and the differences in brain activation and functional connectivity between the two groups of children were analyzed from the perspective of brain activation and functional connectivity. ResultsCompared to the TD group, in the object manipulative motor task (one-handed bag throwing), the ASD group showed significantly reduced activation in both left sensorimotor cortex (SMC) and right secondary visual cortex (V2) (P<0.05), whereas the right pre-motor and supplementary motor cortex (PMC&SMA) had significantly higher activation (P<0.01) and showed bilateral brain region activity; in terms of brain functional integration, there was a significant decrease in the strength of brain functional connectivity (P<0.05) and was mainly associated with dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and V2. In the body stability motor task (tiptoe walking), the ASD group had significantly higher activation in motor-related brain regions such as the DLPFC, SMC, and PMC&SMA (P<0.05) and showed bilateral brain region activity; in terms of brain functional integration, the ASD group had lower strength of brain functional connectivity (P<0.05) and was mainly associated with PMC&SMA and V2. ConclusionChildren with ASD exhibit abnormal brain functional activity characteristics specific to different gross motor tasks in object manipulative and body stability, reflecting insufficient or excessive compensatory activation of local brain regions and impaired cross-regions integration, which may be a potential reason for the poorer gross motor performance of children with ASD, and meanwhile provides data support for further unraveling the mechanisms underlying the occurrence of MDs in the context of ASD and designing targeted intervention programs from a central perspective.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the short-and med-term clinical efficacy of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty(UKA)for the treatment of medial knee osteoarthritis (OA) in elderly patients with anterior cruciate ligament deficiency(ACLD). METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 31 patients aged over 75 years old with primary medial knee OA and ACLD who underwent UKA between January 2018 and December 2022. The cohort included 12 males and 19 females, aged from 75 to 91 years with an average age of (79.56±4.54) years, with 13 left knee, 16 right knee, and 2 bilateral knees. Clinical outcomes were assessed preoperatively and at final follow-up using the visual analogue scale (VAS), Hospital for Special Surgery(HSS) score, range of motion (ROM), hip-knee-ankle angle (HKA), and tibial component posterior slope angle (TCPSA). Complications such as infection, prosthesis wear, prosthesis loosening, and dislocation were also recorded. RESULTS: All 31 patients were followed up from 12 to 63 months with an average of (28.34±10.56) months. The average postoperative TCPSA was (4.83±1.31)° ranged from 2.5° to 6.8°. At the final follow-up, there was significant improvement in VAS (3.24±0.53) vs. (6.59±0.69), HSS score (85.19±4.45) vs. (64.38±5.94), ROM (118.83±5.38)° vs. (98.85±4.08)°, and HKA (176.83±5.16)° vs. (169.57±6.28)° compared to preoperative values (P<0.05). No cases of infection, prosthesis loosening, or dislocation were reported. CONCLUSION UKA provides favorable short-and mid-term outcomes for elderly patients with medial knee OA and ACLD . However, long-term clinical efficacy needs further investigation through extended follow-up.

Objective： To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Tonifying kidney and activating blood therapy for the treatment of diabetic mellitus erectile dysfunction. Methods： China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI), Wanfang Data, VIP, Chinese Biomedical Database(CBM), PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase and Web of Science were searched from inception until October 20th of 2024，for randomized controlled trials of Tonifying kidney and activating blood therapy for the treatment of diabetic erectile dysfunction. Literature screening, quality evaluation, and data extraction were carried out in accordance with relevant standards. The software of RevMan5.4 was used for the analysis of publication bias. And meta-analysis was conducted to assess the impact of this therapy on IIEF-5, total effective rate, adverse reactions. The evidence levels according to the analysis results were evaluated. Results: Totally 19 RCTs were included, involving 1 612 patients. The result of meta-analysis indicated that Tonifying kidney and activating blood therapy had advantages on the improvement of IIEF-5 scores (MD=3.59，95%CI［2.14，5.03］，P<0.01)，total effective rate (OR=4.30，95%CI［3.29，5.32］，P<0.000 01）. However, there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions(OR=0.98，95%CI［0.48，2.01］，P=0.96) between the two groups. Conclusions： Tonifying kidney and activating blood therapy can improve the clinical efficacy and IIEF-5 score for the patients with diabetic erectile dysfunction. But considering the limited quantity of included studies, more high-quality studies still be needed to validate the therapeutic effect.

MHNTs@PDA@ZIF-8 with rod-shaped core-shell structures was synthesized and used as sorbent in magnetic solid phase extraction(MSPE).MHNTs@PDA@ZIF-8-MSPE method coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)was employed to analyze sixteen kinds of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)in tea beverages.Vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and nitrogen adsorption-desorption techniques were used to characterize the MHNTs@PDA@ZIF-8.The results demonstrated that the MHNTs@PDA@ZIF-8 exhibited significant magnetic properties and a large specific surface area.The experimental conditions that could affect MSPE were investigated,including adsorbent dosage,extraction time,desorption time,ionic strength,desorption solvent type,and desorption solvent volume.The optimal conditions were 10 mg of MHNTs@PDA@ZIF-8 as adsorbent,90 s under vortex extraction,and ultrasonic desorption for 60 s with 1 mL ofn-hexane.The sixteen kinds of PAHs showed good linearity in the concentration range of 5-500 μg/L(r2≥0.995).The limits of detection(S/N=3)and quantitation(S/N=10)were in the range of 0.1-0.8 μg/L and 0.3-2.6 μg/L,respectively.The recoveries of the method ranged from 60.9%to 114.7%,with relative standard deviations(n=3)ranging from 0.2%to 9.2%when the addition levels of sixteen kinds of PAHs were 10,50,and 100 μg/L.The method was simple,fast,sensitive and environmentally friendly,and suitable for detecting sixteen kinds of PAHs in tea beverages.

Objective To elucidate the clinical significance of high expression levels of endonuclease meiosis 1(EME1)in the prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)databases were used to screen and analyze differential gene expression between HCC and non-tumor tissues.A retrospective collection of liver tissue samples from 80 HCC patients who underwent hepatectomy in the Fifth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital between January 2010 and December 2014 was performed.Immunohistochemistry analysis was employed to detect the EME1 expression levels.Survival analysis was then conducted to assess the impact of EME1 expression on 5-year postoperative survival rate of HCC patients.Additionally,gene enrichment analysis was applied to predict the function of EME1 in HCC.Results A total of 371 HCC tissue samples and 50 non-tumor liver tissue samples from TCGA database were analyzed,revealing significantly higher EME1 expression in HCC tissues.Microarray analysis of 107 samples within the GEO database(70 HCC tissues and 37 non-tumor tissues)confirmed that EME1 mRNA expression was markedly elevated in HCC tissues compared with non-tumor tissues(P<0.05).The 5-year overall survival(OS)rate was notably lower in high EME1 expression group than that in low expression group(44.1%vs.53.0%,P<0.05).Semi-quantitative immunohistochemistry analysis demonstrated that patients with high EME1 expression had a significantly lower OS rate than those with low EME1 expression(32.8%vs.45.0%,P<0.05).Multivariate COX regression analysis identified that high EME1 expression(HR=2.234,95%CI 1.073-4.649,P=0.032)and advanced China liver caner(CNLC)staging(HR=4.317,95%CI 1.799-10.359,P=0.001)were independent risk factors for the 5-year OS of post-operation patients with HCC.Conclusion Elevated EME1 expression in HCC tissues correlates with an adverse prognosis of HCC and suggests that EME1 could serve as a potential therapeutic target for HCC.

Quercetin can mediate the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathways to prevent osteoporosis(OP).This paper comprehensively discusses the interrelationship between MAPK and osteoporosis-related cells based on the latest domestic and international research.Additionally,it elucidates the research progress of quercetin in mediating the MAPK signaling pathway for OP prevention.The aim is to provide an effective foundation for the clinical prevention and treatment of OP and the in-depth development of quercetin.

Aim To anticipate the mechanism of zuka- mu granules (ZKMG) in the treatment of bronchial asthma, and to confirm the projected outcomes through in vivo tests via using network pharmacology and molecular docking technology. Methods The database was examined for ZKMG targets, active substances, and prospective targets for bronchial asthma. The protein protein interaction network diagram (PPI) and the medication component target network were created using ZKMG and the intersection targets of bronchial asthma. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomics (KEGG) and gene ontology (GO) were used for enrichment analysis, and network pharmacology findings were used for molecular docking, ovalbumin (OVA) intraperitoneal injection was used to create a bronchial asthma model, and in vivo tests were used to confirm how ZKMG affected bronchial asthma. Results There were 176 key targets for ZKMG's treatment of bronchial asthma, most of which involved biological processes like signal transduction, negative regulation of apoptotic processes, and angiogenesis. ZKMG contained 194 potentially active components, including quercetin, kaempferol, luteolin, and other important components. Via signaling pathways such TNF, vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), cancer pathway, and MAPK, they had therapeutic effects on bronchial asthma. Objective: To investigate the tendency of obesity and depressive symptoms in middle school students in Tianjin, so as to provide a reference for exploring the clustering patterns of health risk behaviors and their effects on obesity and depressive symptoms. Methods: A stratified cluster sampling method was used to investigate the obesity, depressive symptoms and health risk behaviors of middle school students from 16 counties of Tianjin from 2019 to 2023. The latent classes analysis was used to classify health risk behaviors. The χ 2 test and Logistic regression were used to analyze the effects of different categories on obesity and depression symptoms. Results: The obesity detection rate of middle school students in Tianjin from 2019 to 2023 first increased ( 20.90% in 2019, 23.35% in 2020) and then decreased and gradually stabilized (2021-2023:22.20%-22.69%), and the detection rate of depressive symptoms showed a decreasing trend (from 21.65% to 14.92%). The detection rate of comorbidity of obesity and depressive symptoms first increased (4.62% in 2019, 4.66% in 2020) and then gradually decreased to 3.43% in 2023, and the rate was higher in boys than in girls and higher in urban areas than in suburban areas. Latent category analysis classified health risk behaviors into four categories: lack of exercise group, poor behaviors such as sleep group, poor diet group and healthy group. After adjusting for demographic characteristics,the results of Logistic regression analysis showed that the co-occurrence risk of obesity and depression symptoms among the top three groups of middle school students were 1.35( OR=1.35, 95%CI =1.15-1.58), 4.20( OR=4.20, 95%CI =3.50-5.04), and 1.84( OR=1.84, 95%CI =1.40-2.38)times, compared to the healthy group ( P <0.05). Conclusions From 2019 to 2023, the comorbidity rate of obesity and depression among middle school students in Tianjin increased first and then decreased gradually. Interventions should be made in the aspects of exercise, diet, sleep and other behaviors.
